We had a fantastic stay!

The views are unreal!!! The house is spacious, and there was plenty of room for our group of 9. We would love to be back again!

The house was lovely and spacious, beds were comfy!

The listing makes it sound like you are right on a beach and can take plenty of dog walks from the house. You cannot access the beach right in front of you as the railway line prevents it. The only other access is through a private road leading to a caravan park, which clearly states no access! Such a shame as we picked this largely for the close access to beach and accessible dog walks. It is only a short drive to a fantastic beach, but, with four cars on the driveway, it is a faff to get out! Front garden not enclosed for inquisitive dogs. Kitchen could do with a deep clean and TLC.

Absolutely amazing house had everything from huge bedrooms with super comfy beds.

.a view to die for from every front window...my only thing was the front garden wasn't secure to keep the dogs on just needed a gate but apart from that perfect for 9 of us & 2 dogs

We had a fantastic stay.

7 adults and 2 children. We all absolutely loved it. There was lots of space for us all. The views are amazing. We had great weather and could enjoy the patio and garden. The owners were very helpful and we had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. It's far better than the photos show online. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing time at Hendre Wylan.

The house is big and spacious and very well equipped. We had everything we needed. The beds are really comfortable. We all slept good. Very peaceful and quite. The owner came to check if everything was OK and he was very warm and welcoming. The best thing about this property though is the view. It's breathtaking, and the sunsets on the night... amazing. If I was forced to pick a downside with this property, it would be available plug sockets by the beds. That's it!! I would highly recommend this property and we 100% will stay there again.

This is a fantastic house with an amazing view.

It was very clean, well laid out with very spacious bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge. It is a perfect house for larger parties (although we were only 4 plus 1 dog). Easy to get pet friendly taxis into town and Dylan's was a nice restaurant. We brought our own BBQ although there was one at the property. Nice outside space - perfect for a break in sunny Barmouth. Would stay again

The location is great - a 5 minute drive into Barmouth, a 10 minute walk to the beach and 45 minute drive to Snowdon.

The views are stunning overlooking the sea and perfect for enjoying the sunset. The property was clean and tidy, though could do with a bit of a spruce up (particularly the bathrooms where some of the paint is flaking). Upstairs, there are 5 bedrooms (all decent sizes), but only one has an en-suite and the rest share one bathroom. There is a good amount of space downstairs (we had a group of 6 adults and 4 kids), with enough seating in the lounge and as well as some outdoor furniture. Would have been nice for some basics to have been left for guests, e.g. tea bags, coffee, oil, etc. Not enough toilet paper was provided (the owner did drop it off, but we had already got our own by then). Additionally, there was an unplanned visit from one of the owners for no real reason. Just seemed like they were being nosey and re-iterated about leaving the bins out. There was rubbish left in the bins from previous guests which we actually put out as well. I don't think we should have needed to do that. The internet is not great and Netflix didn't work. Not that we wanted to sit and watch TV for hours, but for kids to watch a movie together in the evening or in order to keep them occupied for a short period it would have been nice.

We’ve just returned home after our second visit to Hendre Wylan.

It’s a fantastic house in a beautiful setting. Everything is of high standard. It’s in a great spot and Barmouth is easy to drive to. We (and the dogs) thoroughly enjoyed our stay again and hope we can visit again soon!

Hendre Wylan is a lovely property; well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

The location is great with wonderful views from almost every room. The only issue we had was the unpleasant smell from the kitchen sink and the basin in the family bathroom was partially blocked. Hopefully these two problems can be quickly sorted.

Very well equipped house ,very spacious with amazing views of Cardigan Bay & the Llŷn Peninsula in the distance with the outside balcony seating area a welcome extra.

Comfortable beds & good sized bedrooms the twin being the most bijoux. There are other dwellings around the property & possibly campsite access road outside. We did not investigate so can't be sure but there were a lot of camper vans going past (slowly).. One previous review states difficult to find but Google maps came up trumps. If arriving late I suggest you take enough supplies for breakfast, milk and basic condiments.. There were tea bags & some coffee. Co-op in Barmouth is open 7-10pm and 11-3pm Sundays, pick something up on the way through if coming from the south. Good base for exploring Eryri National Park. Not much traffic noise from the main Barmouth to Harlech road or the little coastal train. Would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for a large family group. The view from the front patio was beautiful, perfect for the lively Wales sunsets. Plenty big enough for our family of 10 and the playroom was a big bonus allowing the adults a bit of personal space

Hendre Wylan had everything we needed for a large family of 10 and dogs the amount of space is fantastic with a great view of the beach below.

Kitchen was well equipped for cooking which we did throughout our week the gardens to front is ample for the children to play where we could see them and an enclosed garden at the back for the dogs to play. The owners were excellent at providing information for us and very responsive when we needed them to fix a handle on a door that had worked loose will definately be back next year

This is a truly wonderful place with an amazing setting.

You will be hard pressed to find anywhere better. The views from four bedrooms of the sea are amazing and the twin room enjoys a lovely view of the mountain behind. The kitchen and lounge also share fantastic sea views. The place is spacious so the nine of us (adults) were never under each others feet. It is equipped with nearly everything you'd need. Take something to cover microwave bowls though as there weren't any. It was lovely to be able to all sit outside on the balcony and eat at the table on the rattan furniture when the sun shone! (Not shown in listing pictures.) It was a little difficult to find as sat nav didn't take us straight there so What3Words might be better to use. We fitted 5 cars on the driveway (mix of sizes) without obstructing the roadway so plenty of room there too. We used this as a base for visiting Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) as it was only an hour or so away. We would love to return the next time we are all getting together for a birthday celebration!! Thanks to the owners for opening your home to us.

Well what can I say?

I think wow is the best single word to describe hendre wylan, it was simply perfect, the house was better than our expectations, it was spotlessly clean with everything we needed to hand, the beds were extremely comfortable, the location was excellent with the most amazing views of cardigan bay. We would definitely consider returning again.

Had a wonderful stay at Hendre Wylan.

It was everything we wanted and we got the glorious weather to go with it. (not too keen on the Sahara dust all over our cars though, but that was beyond our hosts control). Had some great days out in Barmouth, Portmerion and Shell Island, and then back to Hendre Wylan in the evenings to chill out with the brilliant views out to sea in the Cardigan Bay. Very well equipped house. (Could have done with top sheets on the beds as an alternative to the quilts as it was warm at night and the quilts were too warm)

Lovely place to stay for a large gathering of friends or family, the views and proximity to the sea,beach and Barmouth is great and close to Harlech well worth a visit, property comfy beds which is a plus, good size house so not on top of each other, no welcome pack which surprised us, every place I’ve stayed at which is many all have had one, not even milk so make sure you take everything from the get go as no tea,coffee cleaning stuff, one tea towel and when check in is after 4 is always a bonus, all in all great stay and Barmouth is so dog Friendly.

Well equipped and very comfortable accommodation as in previous years plus some welcome upgrading of bedding, crockery etc.

Plus addition of a radio in the kitchen. A relaxing and spacious retreat with wonderful views.

Great property, clean and good facilities including space for us to spread out.

You can access the beach through the campsite opposite. Would recommend Norbar and The Last Inn for food. And SUP Barmouth for paddle boarding. Enjoy your stay if going.

Beautiful holiday home, all the family enjoyed it and so did the dogs! Stunning sunset every night made the perfect ending to each day. We would definately recommend this 100% ....for the views, sunsets, all the local amenities, port meridian is a must see little place...thank you to Julia & Steve for being on call too

We very much enjoyed everything about the property, especially the views out across the bay.

The owners were so helpful with one or two things that went wrong, and were very pleasant. Very spacious and comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend.

A big comfortable property but starting to show some wear and tear in places.

Was a bit disappointed the starter pack for the log burner and no tools for using/cleaning it were available and to find a single oven which when cooking Christmas dinner for ten isn't ideal. Think 2.7k for the week was a bit steep with the property as it is at the moment, it has plenty of scope to be so much more (another shower maybe) but all in all had a great stay and good Christmas. Great food in Norbar a short walk away and some nice friendly bars in Barmouth.

Cottage in excellent position sea view amazing large cottage well appointed rooms however the management of the property was very poor lack of sign from the road to locate the property key safe in complete darkness no information manual for the utilities especially the heating radiators needed bleeding (especially the on suite) only three tablets for dishwasher which was poorly maintained glass were coming out with chalky residue despite covid concerns one wc needed cleaning the main waste bin was full to overflowing and recycling bins need emptying conflicting advice given regarding the siting of the bins for emptying as result recycling bins not emptied of the three wall lights in the lounge only one was working that expired on the Wednesday I could go on.

These things should have bee sorted before our arrival on a short stay you have not got the time to hang around for solutions to be provided. Not a criticism of Sykes who we have had a good relationship for a number of years

The games room with television was a useful addition. Great sea views.

Very spacious accommodation for 3 generations plus dog and a fantastic location overlooking the sea.

Beautiful house, amazing sea views.

The house was perfectly located with sea views however the house itself was not fully cleaned stray hairs and dust in the toilet areas, there were two old and curled up rugs on the landing which my mother nearly tripped over!

When we took them up they were hiding massive stains on the carpet, there were no cleaning products at all anywhere in the house, however it was a very spacious property and the bedding was very clean, it was a shame there were no cushions on the outside patio furniture. Having said that we did enjoy our time in Barmouth .

Despite the Covid restrictions the holiday was excellent and the accommodation spacious and secluded.

Very good roomy house, ample space for 10 people.

The view is fantastic and just a short walk to the sandy beach. The only problem was the lack of cooking equipment suitable for 10 people, crockery, cutlery and glasses were fine. Spare key would have been helpful if people going out separately.

Hendre Waylen is really very nice house to spent your relexed holidays at, Situated very near to Sea Side and near to Barmouth where Co-OP supermarket and Iceland is really near by.

House itself deserve honest 5 Star, as all 5 Bedrooms are of big size and party of 10 can get fit in very well. Kitchen items are available in ample quantity no need to take it along anything from home. Definitely will hire it again if visiting same area again.

We really enjoyed the accommodation and the location.
