“The cottage was perfect for us and the little dog.”

Absolutly quiet and perfect calm area. Just what we wanted and were looking for, in the middle of nowhere but easy access to somewhere. The cottage is in very need of refurbishment. The mattresses are outdated and when one turned the other were jumping, as well after a week our back were hurting. Don't know how it works out if you are with 4 person as e.g. the hot water of the shower last only for 1 and then the 2nd has to wait half a day for its shower. The mattresses are outdated and when one turned the other were jumping, as well after a week our back were hurting. Don't know how it works out if you are with 4 person as e.g. the hot water of the shower last only for 1 and then the 2nd has to wait half a day for its shower. Some spiderweb and dust all over and none of the doorlocks were working either. The main door nor utility room door. The owner (or son) tried to look at the locks, but said its like weeks/months not working and couldn't and didn't solve the problem. I would go there again this year if all issues been solved as it is exactly what we were looking for between xmas and after new year.

Thank you for your feedback and I usually do not respond to the feedback provided by guests but on this occasion I felt I had to as most of the comments made if not all are not correct. The mattress is not outdated, also it does not take half a day for the hot water tank to refill for another person to take a shower and certainly there was no spiderweb or dust in the cottage as I had cleaned and dusted the morning before your arrival, maybe there would of been by the end of your stay but what do you expect in an old cottage. With regards to the lock of the main door what you have stated is completely untrue as I have asked my son (who you saw) and he said that he locked the main door but did not leave it without solving the problem as you have stated and he also did not say that it had been like that for weeks/months, but there is no issue with the door going into the utility room. Also if the issues you have mentioned were a worry to you, all you had to do was knock on the door next door and let me know and most of them, if not all of them would of been resolved at once. Also I would of liked if you would have asked permission first before using coal in a WOOD burning stove and also informed me of the breakages that had occurred during your stay rather than me finding the damaged objects in the rubbish bin Property Owner

About the location

LLANBEDR

Harlech 3 miles; Barmouth 8 miles.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing.
