Two of the bedrooms also host Victorian feature fireplaces.

A luxury kitchen hosts a breakfast bar where you can relax in the morning hours, and the dining room is ideal for enjoying an evening meal with your loved ones, with fantastic sea views.

On this floor you will also find a contemporary wet room, convenient for getting ready after an adventure filled afternoon.

Wavecrest has a large sea facing patio area with large wicket seating and an outdoor dining table, so you can soak in your stunning surroundings while dining alfresco.

Just a short stroll from the property you can find a wonderful host of amenities and attractions; head to the local shop to collect some tasty treats so you can pack up a picnic to take with you to the beautiful beach, where you can enjoy a day of sandcastle building and sun soaking, or indulge in a heart-warming meal at the local pub for a special celebratory meal.

The property also benefits from being within easy reach of the Leisure Centre, boasting tennis courts, an Astroturf and an indoor heated pool with a slide, there’s so much adventure here to be discovered.

At the centre of the town you will be greeted by extensive choice of shops, restaurant, cafés and pubs, and a cinema with reasonable prices, offering something for every taste and any time of year.

A short stroll will also take you to Pwllheli Golf Club and the Sailing Academy, or for keen walkers the Wales Coastal path passes in front of the house so you can experience the seascapes up close.

Discover all of Snowdonia with its wonderful walking routes, and dare to take on the peak of Mount Snowdon if you’re an avid ambler, or venture over to the Isle of Anglesey, rich in history and many medieval castles, it makes a wonderful day trip for the history lover, while Holyhead offers regular day trips to Ireland where you can enjoy a refreshing pint of Guinness and explore the charming tradition of the island for a day.

I'd like to give this property more stars but the smell of drains was pretty bad when we arrived - then went- then returned when it rained- went- back with a vengeance on the day we left.

As Sykes were unresponsive when I left a message asking about the use of the washing machine- I messaged both numbers- no point in complaining. Position of the house was lovely- right on the sea- but it needs a serious refurbishment of plumbing and electrics? Use of washing machine may fuse the house?

Thank you so much for your four-star review and for letting us know. We were really sorry to hear about the odour, especially as nothing had been picked up during the changeover before your arrival and no previous guests had mentioned anything similar. We contacted Sykes straight away, and they confirmed their only record was an attempted call on 17 August noted as “caller could not be heard,” with no message, email or further follow-up. If we’d known during your stay, we would absolutely have looked into it straight away, particularly as we had more guests arriving after you and always want the chance to put anything right as quickly as possible. Just for reassurance, the property electrics were updated in November 2025. The washing machine isn’t available for guest use, as stated in the listing, and there’s a professional laundrette just a short walk away. We hope the three adults, three teenagers and your fur baby still had a lovely beach holiday and enjoyed having the sea just steps from the front door. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience and would be delighted to see you return in the future.

We have just returned from a week at Wavecrest and the property is amazing.

From the amazing sea views, literally on your doorstep, to the Victorian architecture and fittings that have been kept true to the age of the property. The property has 4 double bedrooms, with 3 having incredible sea views. The property has 2 bathrooms, one a wet room with a large drench shower and the other with a massive oversized bath (sadly we didn't get to try this due to the water shortages in Wales at the moment) but we sat in it to get a perspective of how big it was! Due to a couple of very small problems the owner was quickly responsive and the issues were resolved quickly. I would highly recommend Wavecrest and can't wait to make our next booking here.

Lovely location and very comfortable place to stay, nice beach that is so close and very quiet.

Something to add to the listing, that maybe helpful, is that there are tenants living in the basement apartment. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset if you get a clear day, Its a great location to explore north Wales. We found that the house needs a bit of TLC and could do with a good clean, apart from that very comfortable and has all you could need for a break away from a busy city life.

FYI Opacarophile is a person who loves sunsets Being able to look left from the bedroom windows and catch the sunrise, then enjoy walking towards the sunset on the beach to the right is one of the things we personally love most about this very special location. Since your stay, Wavecrest has had further interior and front garden improvements and is now under new cleaning management with a wonderful housekeeper who takes exceptional pride in the property. We’re delighted you found it comfortable and such a great base for exploring North Wales, and we would absolutely love to welcome you back to enjoy it all again.

Our stay was ok.

The location was nice and quiet and you couldn't be any closer to the beach. Gaining free parking was easy enough. Good access to a great golf course and leisure centre and town centre was a nice easy walk. The property itself was mixed. Beds/bedding were very good and the bathrooms were excellent quality. Overall the property wasn't particularly clean, we had to clean most of the kitchen items before we could use them. Lots of items were broken (fridge had some broken containers) and most of the carpets were stained. The front garden was very weathered and overgrown. I do think the listing should indicate that there are other people living in the house and the top floor is out of bounds. The walls were very discoloured and lots of cobwebs. I Imagine 5/10 years ago this property was outstanding - just needs some TLC. Overall a bit disappointed and overpriced.

Both were addressed promptly, and Wavecrest is now under new cleaning management with an exceptional housekeeper who takes enormous pride in the property. The front garden has also been upgraded, the walls refreshed, and the carpets removed to reveal the beautiful 100+ year-old pitch-pine floorboards, now sanded and varnished to complement the Victorian coastal character of the house. With two adults, one teenager, one child and your fur baby staying, we hope the space, comfort and extraordinary proximity to the beach helped make your holiday special — being able to step straight out to the sea and coastal path is something we feel makes Wavecrest particularly unique for families and dogs. Wavecrest is a beautiful, character house with plenty of space, high ceilings, traditional bannisters, chandeliers - my family said it was like a manor house!

Bedrooms and beds were very clean and comfortable, as was most of the house. I share the comments of other reviewers who have remarked on the dining arrangements. The older and less mobile members of our three generation family struggled to get comnfortable as the table and seating was low and a number of us had bruised knees! This did not spoil our holiday biut it is something I would consider when booking next year. A few, comparitively cheap, fixes would make this house more accessible for older guests - grab rails in both bathrooms and a second handrail on the stairs. Only one half of the porch door would open due to rusted latches.The house does look a bit unloved from the front - the pots were full of dead plants, although that might have been due to the very hot dry weather, and the garden furniture had a lot of cobwebs to clear before we could sit out. We didn't report these as issues for our holiday as they did not affect our enjoyment and we loved being able to sit in the front courtyard. We had a small issue when we requested a change of bedlinen for our second week but that was quickly resolved. A lovely property and we hopoe to stay again next year.

We took your comments seriously and made a number of improvements after your stay. The dining area now has proper oak dining chairs rather than the previous sofa-style seating, the upstairs bedroom carpets have been removed to reveal the original 100+ year-old pitch-pine floorboards, which have been beautifully sanded and refinished, and both the interior and exterior have been refreshed. We’ve also upgraded the garden furniture and renewed the front-door fittings so it now opens easily. Your review is a great example of why guest feedback is so valuable to owners — it helps us keep improving while preserving the character that makes Wavecrest special. We’re very grateful, and we would genuinely love to welcome you back for another stay in the future.

When we arrived at the house there was no key for us but within half an hour this was sorted.

When we entered it was clear that parts of the house were not totally clean. The bathrooms appeared to be clean enough. The one bed did not have a mattress protector which is unforgivable. We swept the floor downstairs and found some beads, coco pops and an empty crisp packet behind one of the settees. The dishwasher didn’t work until the 5th day. In both bathrooms the extractor fans did not appear to be working therefore every surface in the dark and dingy downstairs shower room became very wet after someone had showered. Also there is a sign in the downstairs shower room saying ‘Please ensure bath mat is at the entrance of the shower cubicle to avoid leaks for the flat below’... The bedrooms are spacious and most of the beds comfortable. The dining table set up is not ideal as it is a low table with settees, not too easy for my elderly parents! The whole house needs a coat of paint and some tlc. The outside area is a nice space but needs weeding and some care taken with the plants in pots. The position of the house and the views are stunning with the beach right opposite. The cul de sac is quiet with hardly any traffic.

I am sorry there were some cleanliness issues during your stay, if you had made us aware of this we would have endeavoured to have this rectified as soon as possible. It can be difficult to find trades-persons to visit the property on the same day, i'm happy we were able to get the dishwasher working for you. We have now employed a new cleaning and management team at Wavecrest. We are so glad you enjoyed the view at Wavecrest, we are so lucky to be in such a beautiful area of North Wales. Wavecrest is currently undergoing a total renovation both inside and on the exterior, we feel confident guests will love the new look of our cherished family home.
