Tyn Y Buarth

Very comfortable and spacious house enabling us to have a relaxing stay.

The lounge in particular is large and settees are extremely comfortable. Perfect for an afternoon snooze! Welcome pack was generous and much enjoyed especially the bara brith and welsh cakes. Plenty of parking space for cars and whole area is beautiful and extremely quiet. Shops and beach are realistically a car drive and internet was a bit intermittent but that didn’t spoil a lovely break. Owner was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks very much.

A beautiful, spacious, well presented and equipped cottage in an excellent location.

The outdoor area is a real bonus. Lovely welcome basket on arrival, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and we definitely would like to return.

We had the most amazing stay for a week from 31st July.

The house was one of the best we have stayed in! From the cleanliness to its location we loved it! The house is way bigger than the photos depicted. The bedrooms were very generous in size with the best mattress I think we have ever slept on, we all slept so well. The view from the house was great, across to the distant sand dunes and the sea, there is a lovely easy walk from the house to the beach in half an hour, you could even stop at the holiday village you go through for a pint or two! Our dog loved the garden but you do have to watch them as there is sheep on the other side of the wall and can be seen through the field gate but wasn’t a massive issue for us. The parking area is massive and would certainly take four cars easily. We met the owner who was lovely, she even sourced us a pair of crutches to borrow after I strained my hamstring!! Lovely welcome basket with all great Welsh goodies. I think it sums up the place when you don’t want to go home, 7 days wasn’t enough!! We will certainly be back in the near future!!

Tyn Y Buarth is a lovely, spacious house with a cosy, cottagey feel to it.

It is very well equiped and maintained. The owner is very friendly and helpful, without being at all intrusive. I thoroughly recommend a stay there.

The whole process from booking online to arrival was seamless.

The owners were very accommodating and updated on the way to say the cottage was ready early. It was visit to Wales and when we arrived at the cottage we were blown away- the cottage is beautifully located and presented to a very high standard, it was very comfortable and had that real home from home feeling with outstanding scenery all around it. We definitely want to return to this gem and explore lots more.

First class holiday accommodation, which is equipped to the highest level, spotlessly clean, spacious and tastefully decorated.

It's in a great location - close to the beach and the shops in the village with easy access to train and bus links. Perfect in every way.

Great house, good views, very quiet.

Nice walk to beech from house. Our dog was safe in the garden.

Really lovely property in a great location with good walks on the doorstep.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable for our three generations and a dog. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return again.

We had a great time very peaceful.

very helpful and friendly owner. Would love to go back again .

Beautiful welcome basket and great communication from the owner.

Lovely, well equipped cottage with plenty of room. Comfortable sofas, beds and a lovely garden and sitting out area. The parking area is linked to the garden, so you have to close the gates once you're in. We did not find it secure enough for our small working cocker as he managed to twice find a way out onto the thankfully quiet road. It just meant having to go out with him (and a torch) all the time. In a handy spot between Barmouth and Harlech with good, dog friendly places to eat not too far away. The internet was not brilliant and kept dropping out in the evening when using apps. It probably wouldn't support anyone trying to work. The under counter fridge was set to 6 so froze even the milk in the door, so don't forget to check and dial it down! Also, loads of equipment but no small frying pan for eggs. Truly minor issues, this is an excellent cottage and would recommend for anyone with no dog or one slightly less adventurous than ours!

The Cottage was extremely well appointed with plenty of space for 3 generations plus a dog.

The attention to detail was great and level of comfort. The views would have been amazing if only it had stopped raining!! Good location for Harlech, Barmouth and local beaches.

Wonderful place to stay.

It is so well-presented, peaceful, and a great base to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Lovely spacious house, immaculately clean.

Plenty of parking. Short drive to large local beach, short walk to train station. Excellent communication from owner. Welcome basket much appreciated after a long journey!

A fab house, so pleased we booked this one.

Lovely and spacious, with a large sunny garden that was well enclosed for the dog, and so peaceful. Really pretty views over the dunes, a lovely place to sit out and eat in the evenings. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and relax. Spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. Highly recommend.

The property was very well presented.

It was clean, well equiped, spacious and a truly lovely place to stay. The area is a stunning combination of beach and mountains, with plenty to do locally. The owner was quick to respond to messages and very helpful at all times. Thank you for a great holiday.

This beautiful holiday home was perfect for us as a group of 4 children and 2 adults.

The owner left a lovely welcome pack with lots of quality goodies in and she popped over to drop some milk shortly after we arrived and was very friendly. The thought and hard work that the owner has put into this property is outstanding and we would highly recommend this holiday home. The garden is beautifully maintained and has a large grassed area for the children to play and run around and also a large patio/large table with 8 chairs and barbecue. The view from the property is stunning especially from the large on-suite bedroom with the double doors. The house had everything you needed + more and had lovely comfy beds with spotless fresh smelling bedding and lots of extra bedding in the rooms. Also a hairdryer/mirrors/tv and phone charger with alarm in every bedroom. All the furniture is high quality solid oak in every room in the house. There is also plenty of storage. The kitchen had everything you needed and plenty of plate/cups/glasses and every utensil/pots and pans you could think of. Even a plate set and cutlery set for a toddler. Also a large 8 seater table and chairs. The living room was spacious with a 2 large comfy sofas and it all felt really homely and comfy. Lots of leaflets for places to go in the draw and Wi-Fi connection instructions. A great Chess set and some dvd’s and a large smart tv. A lovely fire place too. The bathrooms and toilets were spotless and had lots of clean towels and 2 great showers and a bath. There was a toilet/sink unit /washer-dryer and freezer in the front entrance of the property. We cannot fault this property as it is a total credit to the owner and we would 100% recommend.

For our three-generation half term holiday this was a brilliant house in a beautiful area.

Light and bright with views of sheep and sand dunes from the bedrooms (and comfortable mattresses). Everything we needed from highchair & cot, to a very well-equipped kitchen with plenty of big pans for cooking family meals.

No improvements to home needed, exceptionally clean, would benefit from outdoor hottub

We had a wonderful week staying at Tyn y Buarth .

The house is very comfortable and spacious with a lovely neat garden and large driveway. Plenty of space for enjoying the view from the patio sitting at the outside seating. Also great for the dog as the garden is enclosed. Everything was clean and well maintained. Good communication from the hosts. Lovely food basket with tea coffee milk crisps and Welsh cake. Helpful information booklet about the local area and walks to the beach. Great location for visits to north Wales castles, beaches and the mountains of Eryri national park. Highly recommend this lovely house.

Excellent location for walking, beach and sightseeing.

Well appointed house for 6 adults and one 17 month old. Could find everything needed to cook and serve a Sunday lunch which an essential on this holiday when some of us had colds! Easy instructions for all appliances and stairgates and highchair much appreciated. Lovely clean property with good outside space for a toddler to potter about and little park nearby for swings, slides etc. Shops for essentials close by and larger shops in Barmouth only 15 minutes away. Great time had by all. Thank you.

This is such a wonderful holiday home.

Every detail is considered and the house is well stocked so no need to worry about anything. The house is spacious so plenty of space to spread out with kids and adults. The location is gorgeous. I loved my morning coffee outside overlooking the sheep and the view down to the beach. There was so much to do in the area that we definitely could’ve stayed longer than 4 nights. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this house again.

A beautiful cottage set in breathtaking scenery, exceptionally clean & very comfortable.

..a real home from home, every facility catered for, thank you for the goodies which welcomed us! We would love to stay again & will certainly recommend to family & friends. Thank you to the friendly owner of the cottage. From Philip & family.

We had a fantastic stay at Tyn Y Buarth during the Easter Holidays, even if the weather was somewhat against us!

The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We cannot wait to stay again.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

It had all the amenities needed and a well equipped kitchen. It was a great base for exploring the local area with a young family.

We absolutely loved it here.

Such a cosy house that we have found to be more equipped than any other place we have been to. The location was perfect with lovely views and quick access to some great locations. We couldn’t ask for more really. Fantastic! The sheep outside the window were a real treat. Definitely would recommend.

If you’re looking for a holiday cottage that is like a home from home then you need not look any further.

With views across the coastline, the cottage is modern, very comfortable with no expense spared on kitchen appliances and bedding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Another fabulous stay at this cottage.

The property is stunning, spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything possible provided. It is in a lovely setting with beautiful sea views out of the bedroom window, so peaceful all you hear is the sheep! The owner is very welcoming and helpful. We stayed for a week this time but it wasn't enough I didn't want to leave. This is my favourite property out of many which we have stayed in I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous long weekend at the property.

The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and maintained and a short distance from all attractions in the area. The host was extremely helpful, courteous and polite and had even left a welcome pack for us as a family. We couldn't recommend this place enough for families visiting the area.

Well equipped and maintained in an excellent location we spent our 2 week multigenerational family holiday family holiday here.

Benar and Barmouth beaches which our grandchildren loved. there was plenty of local attractions including Harlech Castle and Porthmadog and cycling the Mawddach trail from Barmouth to Dolgellau. This property makes an ideal location for families or we would return with friends for the superb local walking.

This is our third visit to Tyn Y Buarth and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay again.

It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location close to fabulous beaches and the mountains. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious and has everything you need. Highly recommend and we would definitely return. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay.

The owner was warm and welcoming. Our grandchildren ( aged 9 and 5) loved the safe enclosed garden with the opportunity to use their scooters. Very well equipped house with excellent facilities. We also had better weather than expected.

We had another fab holiday in beautiful North Wales made even more wonderful in this beautiful cottage.

The setting was just perfect, so tranquil. Perfect for exploring North Wales. The Cottage had everything we needed and enough space for everyone. A large living room and kitchen diner and garden( with a bbq) for our family to spend quality time together, but also enough space to have some alone time. It was immaculate both inside and out. You could see the attention to detail and the personal touch from the owner. The owner left us a welcome hamper with lots of goodies and milk which we really appreciated. The owner came to welcome us and check whether everything was fine and came to say goodbye on our departure. So friendly and willing to help. Thank you for having us in your beautiful cottage. It felt so homely. It comes on top of the list of the many cottages we've stayed at. X

On arrival we found the directions just a little difficult to follow, the beach was further away on foot than expected and facilities in the local village a little sparse.

That said the property itself was wonderful, really well equipped, comfortable and clean and it was well located as a base to explore both the coast and the national park by car. We really enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend it.

The well-appointed and thoughtfully decorated interiors made us feel right at home.

The attention to detail and cleanliness were outstanding, and we found everything we needed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you Annwen for your warm hospitality and prompt responsiveness.

The cottage was lovely.

Very comfortable and clean. Everything that you could need was in place. The owners were very helpful and available if needed. We had a great time at the cottage

Lovely comfortable place to stay in a lovely area.

Amazing property with picturesque views.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend!

A most beautiful cottage, warm, cosy, very comfortable furnishings and especially the beds, very much a home from home and very well equipped, a very high standard.

Great garden for grandchildren stunning views and sunsets, owner very helpful and friendly, best cottage we’ve ever stayed in! Lots to do locally

This was a stunning holiday house in a brilliant location!

Really loved the super comfy beds and bedding, nice big lounge and outdoor space. Great to travel to local beaches. Really superb butchers nearby. Really appreciate all the additional extras for kids eg stair gates and main gates etc. Could possible do with plates/bowls and cutlery for small children but that’s only a minor thing. You will not regret booking this holiday house!

Beautiful property in a lovely peaceful location.

Very spacious throughout with an amazing view. Sunsets in the garden were magical. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

Lovely cottage with high quality furnishings and fittings.

Comfortable beds and quality bedding. The cottage is close to beautiful beaches and countryside and has distant sea views. The Owner was very welcoming and helpful and the cottage could not have been cleaner which is good in these Covid times. It is a very well equipped property. Would love to visit again.

We had a fabulous stay at Tyn Y Buarth which was set in a quiet, peaceful location with outstanding views.

The house was very well equipped and extremely clean and comfortable, with lovely garden furniture which we made full use of thanks to the amazing weather we had. There was a welcome basket too which included some lovely Welsh goodies. Would definitely recommend.

Tyn y Buarth is a fabulous, spacious house in a scenic and peaceful location.

The accommodation is immaculate and very comfortable, with high quality furnishings and everything you need. There's plenty of parking and a nice area to sit out. The owner is very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely stay at the property and would highly recommend it. We caught the train from Dyffryn station to Barmouth and also to Criccieth and walked along the beautiful Welsh Coastal Path to Porthmadog then caught the train back to Dyffryn - you need to request the stop with the guard and you can buy your tickets onboard. It's a beautiful area to visit.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful location.

This was our second visit to Tyn y Buarth and we really enjoyed our stay again. Brilliant views and peaceful surroundings. Plenty of beautiful walks in the local area in the mountains and along the extensive beaches. Well equipped, clean and comfortable accommodation and ample off road parking. Owners very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a third visit. Thank you.

Everything was just perfect for us.

It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we expected and needed. The location was wonderful and we just had a really good time with no problems or difficulties regarding the house. It was great!

We had a great week here in October.

Welsh weather did not disappoint - wet and windy - but that's what you expect at this time of the year! It didn't stop us enjoying the local area though. The house was very clean and warm and felt very "Covid Safe" and had everything we needed, and more. Enough room for our extended family to be very comfortable. Thank you for a very good break, we will certainly book here again.

October 2021 Tyn Y Buarth is a lovely property that has been refurbished and maintained to a very high standard with quality furnishings and fittings indoors and outside in the garden.

Ideally positioned, a ‘homely’ base to explore both the coast and hills of Snowdonia. With views across fields to the sand dunes and sea and glorious sunsets (weather permitting). The owner made everything feel very Covid safe and was available should we need anything. One of the best self catering properties in UK that we have stayed in, would happily return.

Exceeded our expectations.

A beautiful comfortable holiday home with every facility in wonderful location. Highly recommended.

A totally 5 star experience.

Tyn Y Buarth is located in an idyllic position between Barmouth and Harlech around 25 mins walk to beach. The house exceeded all our expectations, immaculate from top to bottom and managed to feel like "home from home" within moments of arriving, to the point that I would have liked to swap if for our own house! Bryony, the owner popped in to say hello, to check everything was OK and even brought us some food to feed to their sheep. Attention to detail was amazing and I have to say everything we could have needed from egyptian cotton bed linen to crockery of all types to every cooking utensil you could ever need was provided. We were very lucky to have superb weather (early September) and made use of the bbq on one evening with a perfect sunset to watch in the background. We would highly recommend Tyn Y Buarth and would happily say it is the best self catering accommodation that we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. We hope to return again for another stay in the future.

The house was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in.

It was in a beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing.

I've only ticked "met my expectations" because they were high, as I've been before and its still great!

!! Lovely place and great facilities. Love the swifts, swallows and sparrow hawk.

Perfect base for a family of 5!

Well situated for the various attractions that the area has to offer. Friendly owners who made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend to families looking to explore this area of Wales!

The accomodation is by far one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in.

I would like to make a special mention to the lady that prepared the place for us before our arrival, as it was absolutely spotless, she deserves credit for a wonderful job. Six of us stayed here, and we all had plenty of room. We were fortunate enough to have lovely weather, and were able to visit the surrounding attractions. It is a great base for visiting such places as Mount Snowdon and Zip World, which we were lucky enough to do both. It is also about a 25 minute walk to a lovely beach.

Tyn y buarth, was by far the best holiday home we have been to in over 40 years.

Everything was of the best quality. The extra's that we were not expecting (dish wash/washing machine tablets. Hand soap. Tea towels, fairy liquid, disinfectant wipes and sprays and lots more). Very spacious living room, a kitchen, filled with everything you could need to cook all meals. Lovely garden with table and chairs and a fantastic view over the fields to mountains and a glimpse of the sea. You couldn't ask for anything more. We had a fantastic weeks holiday.

We stayed at Tyn Y Buarth for 2 weeks and had a fantastic holiday.

The cottage was the best we have ever stayed in. It was a home from home so well equipped and comfortable. It was immaculate and spotlessly clean the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. Sykes were very helpful before we went as situations were changing due to the current covid pandemic. We should of been going to Mexico but obviously that was cancelled earlier in the year so we booked 2weeks in Wales. I can honestly say we had a fantastic holiday, cottage was gorgeous and surrounding area beautiful. Fabulous beaches, walks and restaurants. Would highly recommend a stay in this property.

this place is excellent - you've got space in indoor's and a really good outdoor's it's quiet and peaceful but well within reach of everything you'd want in north wales - we must also praise the owner's / cleaners - we arrived armed with enough cleaning product's to do a row of houses and proberly a block of flat's as well because of the problem's with this covid thing but the place was spotless you could tell a lot effort had gone into the cleaning ( we did rewash some crockery a wipe some door handles - well we had brought this big bag of stuff 100 miles so we couldn't resist !

) if your thinking of booking this place well crack on you won't go far wrong

The cottage was lovely had everything you could need and more.

Nice peaceful break was just what we needed.

The walk down to the beach was further than we would have liked, the house it self was very comfortable (including the beds), clean and well furnished.

Thank you for a great week's stay.

I would highly recommend this property. It has everything you need. Everything is in good order and it's so very clean and fresh. All rooms are spacious and there's a great outdoor space too.

The cottage was very nice, clean and comfortable.

Top quality furniture and well maintained.

The Tyn Y Buarth cottage was so clean and well presented and we were so impressed with the amount of amenities left for us e.

g. toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, hand wash etc. It really made our stay fuss free and we had a really enjoyable time. There were 6 adults and one infant staying in the house and there was plenty of room, we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other, and every room was beautifully furnished, clean and so well kept, everything looked and felt brand new! We had trouble finding the cottage based on the instructions on the email that was sent to us, they need updating and correcting and making much clearer but once we found it we were so impressed with the location, the garden and the house itself is beautiful. My only bit of constructive feedback really is very minor and didn’t taint our holiday it would have just made things even more perfect: there are only blinds in the bedrooms not curtains as well so a lot of light is let in, the bedrooms would be better if there were curtains; we felt that the sofas were big and comfortable but we could have done with a separate chair as well in the living room; the tap in the main bathroom was a bit stiff to switch on and it would have been nice to have been provided with a toothbrush holder. As I said they weren’t major things but just slight little tweaks that would have made it perfect. Over all we were so happy with our stay and would highly recommend the house and the location, and would happily stay here again!

The property itself was lovely but there were a number of basic things missing:- No soap in the sinks by any of the toilets, No washing up liquid in the kitchen, No instruction as to what recycling went where (we had to look this up on the internet).

The heating was set to be very hot all night, and then cold in the day, We contacted the owners and this was sorted out very quickly. We are used to using airbnb properties, where there is usually a welcome pack of basic things, like a pint of milk, loaf of bread, salt and pepper and perhaps a bit of cooking oil. There was nothing in the cupboards of this type at all, which was disappointing. The addition of this basic range of things (with the addition of a few spices) makes a self catering cottage much easier to use, and therefore very much more attractive. There were no no shelves in either of the showers which was awkward and some of the blinds in the upstairs of the house were broken and needed careful arrangement to shut them,

Cottage was like home from home, nothing spared in luxurious, well kept, beautiful location owner was lovely, we had a lovely relaxing chilled out holiday.

Will definitely be going back ☺️

Fantastic place, owners were brilliant.

When we arrived at the cottage we were totally overwhelmed at the quality and cleanliness we saw The high standard of all fixtures and fittings through out the cottage and gardens were 100%.

We would go again and recommend it .

Lovely clean and comfy house, everything we needed.

This was the best cottage we have ever stayed in.

Every comfort was catered for. It’s in a lovely secluded spot with great views west. We especially enjoyed the garden furniture which we were able to use most days for breakfast and dinner. Just a lovely spot and a very comfortable cottage-highly recommended.

The property is in a lovely location and owner responded quickly to problem encountered on arrival.

Everything required for holiday is provided in the house. Garden is well maintained and pleasant to sit outside. Would recommend that you follow instructions provided by owner rather than sat nav as this will take you down a very narrow lane whereas the instructions bring you exactly opposite the entrance to the house. Would fully recommend as a lovely holiday home

Fabulous cottage, lovely location.

Tyn y Buarth is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It was very clean and comfortable with a homely feel about it. It is located down a quiet lane overlooking the countryside and is accompanied by the sounds of birds & sheep. We felt very relaxed during our stay - even though we enjoyed all of the activities around Snowdonia (which are easily accessible) during the day, we also enjoyed coming home to the cottage every night and could easily have stayed longer!!

Great house.

Well equipped and maintained. Convenient location for exploring mountains and coast.
