“We have stayed in a few Sykes cottages and this one did not disappoint .”

It is very well appointed being in the middle of the village literally over the road from the spa which had absolutely everything we needed including my favourite wine ! There are all the facilities in the cottage you could need for catering for yourselves so we stayed in and cooked our own meals nearly every day . The log burner was a fabulous bonus and was easy to use . The cottage was easy to keep clean and tidy even with a dog and having direct access to the back door meant coming back ...

The cottage was easy to keep clean and tidy even with a dog and having direct access to the back door meant coming back from a walk on the beach we could dry the dog off before bringing him in . We used the washing machine and it even had a surer to get washing dry on and a line and pegs for summer months . The pool table was a fabulous bonus although a bit cold to be out there at night the boys enjoyed it . There was always plenty of hot water and a fabulous shower . The owners were only next door but didn’t interfere at all but came straight away when we needed some help with the heating timer. Having the bakery next door was nice for fresh bread pastries and cakes . The beach is literally a minutes walk away and even at high tide there was enough beach for my dog and his ball to run up and down . Do note that dogs are not allowed on the beach between April and September . And also the chip shop gift shops and cafes are all closed this time of year . Food is available at one of the two pubs which was very nice and also allows dogs in the front rooms. All in all a fabulous weeks stay with everything we needed . Highly recommend .
