Tan Bryn 2

Lost count of the times we have stayed here and we have booked for next year.

We love it. So lovely and convenient for everything. Not quite as clean on arrival as usual with used bed sheets still on the sofa bed and lots of sand in the bathroom. But other little improvements had been made. What I say every year is I would really love there to be a TV in the bedroom. My son sleeps on the sofa bed so when he goes to bed it would be lovely to be able to watch TV in bed. Also the patio furniture is a complete mismatch of tables, chairs and a sofa with not enough cushions. Whereas TanBryn 1 has a lovely table and chairs that you can eat out at. I sound a bit moany on here. But I hope it's constructive. We love the place and come back again and again!!!

The host Natalie makes sure that everything is perfect for guests, spotlessly clean and ideally located.

I would struggle to criticise anything about the place and we have stopped at both the properties which are both great.

We have stayed here a few times ,and never been disappointed .

Great position, would go again.

Natalie is a great host, the cottage is for 2/3 occupancy so many have suggested a washing machine….

A line and pegs provided out back which we used for smalls and towels to dry! Was enough for us! We didn’t use the dish washer as we only used a limited amount of cutlery and cups etc.., We had the best weather arriving 15th - 22 sept 2024 Sat 22nd to 23rd staying in Betswy y Coed! The property is above the local fish restaurant and and has a beautiful location! Central and close to everything! Bakery, cafes and pubs and shops! The beach - wow - dog friendly and superb walks nearby! Try The ship and Alan and his staff are fantastic! Tyn Newydd is also brilliant! Food and drinks are a must in both! Thanks to the ‘ Stockport’ gang we love you! Ange & girls xx Last night of our stay we used Sblast the fish restaurant not disappointed one bit, the staff there are a credit to Natalie the owner, food gorgeous and well priced! Everyone we met enjoyed going there! To finish… if you can climb some slight steps you will be pleasantly welcomed to two lovely properties well maintained and well kept! All kept to a high standard, comfy bed, clean linen and towels, tea coffee and milk, tv, and instructions re waste etc. parking available but we used the nearby bridge car park and contributed £20 to RLNI We had the pleasure to meet the cleaning ladies before we left at 9.45 and chatted! Good job ladies x We will definitely be back next year whatever with the weather! Lisa, Martin and Pablo the Lab xx Alan how many days till Christmas love? X

We have stayed here before and is in an excellent location.

The bed was broken on arrival however after contacting the owner it got fixed. Nothing more to say really, the property had all we needed and is in an excellent location. It would probably be better to have a washing machine rather than a large dishwasher. All in all a nice place to stay.

Another brilliant week in Tan Bryn 2.

It feels like coming home every time we visit! Natalie has maintained high standards over the years, with a well-equipped, well-maintained and spotlessly clean apartment in a lovely quiet spot in the beautiful village of Aberdaron. Within an hour of arriving home, we'd rebooked for next year. Can't wait to be back! :)

Excellent property, really nice and modern cottage

Very well laid out apartment & super comfortable for its size.

Had problems with WiFi not connecting including no connection on smart TV. My Mac computer wasn’t able to connect but we got intermittent connection with our smart phones. Could be a problem if someone wanted to work from the apartment

Lovely apartment.

Came home a day early because the weather was awful and there is nothing to do in Aberdaron at this time of the year. The couple of shops that are there were closed.

We had a great time and will certainly be visiting again.

We regularly holiday in the amazing village of Aberdaron, and Tan Bryn 2 is our 'go to' accommodation.

It feels like we've come home when we arrive. Natalie has kept the apartment really well maintained, and it's never a disappointment. I have no hesitation in recommending Aberdaron and Tan Bryn!

The property itself was very good, very clean and everything you could possibly need.

An oven glove would be useful. We had an issue with the breakfast bar for eating, with being high and swivel chairs it was very difficult for us older people to get up and having our legs dangling. The description of the property did say that we could experience some noise from the fish bar below but it was more than a little noise but at least the business was busy. Most of the noise came from the pub next door when they were closing up. Chairs scraping on floor, outside bins being slammed, loud in general. We had very noisy neighbours it that's not the owners fault. We enjoyed the holiday, it was a break. It unfortunately the area was not for us.

This was our 4th stay at Tan Bryn and we have already booked again for next year.

We love this little flat in the centre of the village. For anyone with reservations about it being above the (fabulous) fish and chip shop, it's never been an issue for us, there are no cooking smells, it does get busy at teatime as you would expect. The flat itself is immaculately clean, the owner is friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that when my son goes to bed in the living room on the sofa bed, it would be great to have a TV in the bedroom. Also, would be great to have a washing machine instead of a full sized dishwasher.

really lovely

Brilliant apartment, exactly as described.

Great location too. Only improvement suggestion would be a fixed fence or gate to separate the patio.

We had a lovely stay, on arrival property was very clean and welcoming close to all amenities and beach met the owner shortly after arrival and mentioned we were celebrating our Ruby wedding anniversary when we came back after a short walk we had a bottle of bubbly

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, cosy apartment.

Set right in the centre of beautiful Aberdaron, above the fabulous Sblash fish bar. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and was the perfect base for exploring the North Wales coast path. We had an issue with the heating and hot water going off, but with a quick call to Natalie, the lovely owner of the property, a plumber arrived and quickly sorted the problem out. We will definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved our stay. Many thanks Les and Ivo

Loved the property, cosy and in a great location - just a couple of small issues- just a little TLC is needed

Tan Bryn 2 is a lovely cottage and the location is great.

We have stayed here before and would definitely come back.

Had a great time , this dog friendly property is ideally situated , clean and comfortable .

Full marks

Great location,good facilities.

Did not find any issues with being above the fish and chip restaurant , friendly staff who worked there. Was a bit hot in the accommodation one evening, heating would not switch off. We will return and recommend the property.

Lovely flat, tastefully decorated.

Everything you need and ideal location for the beach and all amenities. Just a couple of things. The flat was uncomfortably hot. The heating seemed to have a mind of its own and there were no instructions how to turn it off. The landlord said they didn't really know much about the heating so I googled the thermostat and followed online instructions but the heating still came on. Managed to turn the bedroom and bathroom radiators off by the valve controllers but the living room valve must be broken because even when it was screwed right down the radiator was still red hot. Please can you get this resolved before we visit again in August! Also a TV in the bedroom would be ideal. My son slept on the sofa bed in the living room so it would be nice to watch some TV in the bedroom after he has gone to bed. Also a washing machine would have been really handy. I don't think a full sized dishwasher is needed in a flat for 3 people but a washing machine would be great instead. I hope you find this feedback constructive, it's certainly not a complaint..we had a lovely stay and look forward to coming back in August.

This is a lovely apartment in a beautiful part of wales.

The place is cosy and well equipped, and in easy reach of lots of great walks both by foot and by car. Lovely stay!

Lovely little flat, plenty of room for 2 + dog.

Comfortable bed, everything working OK, sofa not very good, sinks into the middle so if 2 sitting on you gravitate towards each other, was fine for a few days though. Lovely village, with the accommodation in the centre.

I stayed in this lovely cosy flat in December during storm Bara!

it was perfect for getting out and walking in between showers, with a shop, cafes and pubs open and welcoming. A wonderful place to practise my Welsh and to discover beautiful beaches. The owner was so helpful. A perfect, peaceful pre Christmas break!

Lovely cottage in great location.

Enjoyed our week there exploring new areas of Wales.

Great holiday flat in the heart of this lovely village near to the beach and local shops.

We rented both flats (with my parents staying in the other) which worked well and we had a brilliant stay in Aberdaron. Huge thank you from us all!

This was the first time we had stayed in Aberdaron, having passed through on previous occasions.

We really enjoyed it. The weather was superb, as was the accommodation. On the first day I came almost face to face with a heron which did not move a muscle. I first thought it was a model but it was not as I found out later. There are many walks along the coast and lots of little sandy coves if you could find them and manage to park. A good map is essential. But what we loved the best was walking along the bay hearing the constant sound of the waves coming in. Superb!!!

1st class experience.

Wonderful smart modern apartment, tucked away but in the middle of the village.

Peaceful and relaxing

This is the 3rd time we have spent in this cottage.

Excellent value for money, the village is a perfect place to stay. The owner is such a lovely person, the staff in the restaurant below are a credit for her. The locals are all such lovely and friendly people. Can't wait to go go back. Me, my wife and 2 dogs love ABERDARON.

Location was excellent.

Aberdaron is an idyllic holiday destination. The apartment was perfectly placed and equipped. The only thing I would say is that I did not register that it was a flat that allows dogs. Although the cleaner had done her utmost, and I am definitely not criticising them, there was inevitably a dog smell and hairs, particularly on the sofa which I could not sit on due to my allergy being set off. This was a minor inconvenience but will look for no pet places in the future. X

Fantastic location, really cosy apartment, ideal for the 2 of us and the dog.

Great pubs, cafes and fabulous bakery all within a few minutes of the apartment.

I think the accommodation lacked storage space.

It could do with a shelf or cupboards above the sink for food on a self catering holiday. We found that the apartment could do with a little more cleaning. Under the settee was broken glass and dog hair etc. I also thought a washing machine would be more useful than a dishwasher. But obviously these are only my observations from the time we stayed there. Overall we had an amazing time. Everyone was very helpful and cheerful. The location was amazing and the patio was great to get out of the wind! WE really had an enjoyable visit. Flat 1 is bigger than Flat 2 which we stayed in - so it did feel a little cramped for the 4 of us. (2 adults and 2 children).

We had a great holiday in this small comfy flat, which is ideally situated for the many amenities on offer in Aberdaron.

There was a warm and friendly welcome from Christina , who had cleaned so beautifully and Natalie the owner is also lovely and helpful. Everyone we met in this beautiful seaside village was so nice, we wanted to stay longer! The lobster we enjoyed from chip shop was exceptional, also the lobster tails, delicious treats!

Lovely place to stay and chillax for a week.

Fabulous beach for the dog (he sulks for about 3 weeks when we get home!) Two pubs serving food, 3 tea rooms, one over the village bakers, a Spar and Post Office, a village store with attached beach food takeaway, 2 gift shops and then the chip shop..eat in or takeaway best haddock and chips..delicious. all the amenities are within a couple of hundred yards of each other and easily reached from car park. Our fourth visit to Tan Bryn and have stayed in both 1 and 2.

Just to let people aware that if you put on the dish washer, then you have to wait for hot water for a bath.

A small issue - would have preferred the bed linen to have been ironed and the towels were a little worn with holes and stains.

The accommodation was excellent the locals were very friendly the only downside we found was to get anywhere you had to travel at least 30 miles but the compensation was beautiful scenery on the way

There were a few small issues e.

g. loo flush knob falling out, sink mixer tap loose, bathroom sink no draining properly and inoperative outside light.

Lovely small quiet village if your looking for a relaxing break.

This was our first break away with the dog plenty of walks and beaches locally for the dog .local pubs, bskery and fish restaurant happy to have the dog in. whispering sands beach has a small cafe on the beach that has lovely cakes or grab a bite to each sat looking out at the sea again dog welcome will definitely be visiting the area and this accommodation again

Excellent accommodation.

Ideal position. could have done with a hairdryer. Steps are a bit much for someone suffering from bad knees or walking difficulties. But on the whole an excellent place.

every thing you need is on the door step bakery, shop, pub, café , beech great locastion

We've been holidaying annually in Aberdaron for over 15 years and are delighted to have found Tan Bryn in the heart of the village, literally seconds away from the beach.

We've stayed in both apartments now, and love both of them. They're well appointed and always very clean, with a comfy bed and sheltered outside seating area. We love the peace and tranquility of the village, and the apartments are a real home from home to return to at the end of the day or take refuge in if it's raining! The fixtures and fittings are of good quality and both apartments offer excellent value for money. We rebooked for next year as soon as we got home!!

It was very noisy and main boiler for chip shop there and it kept firing up odd hours.

The apartment was lovely and central but we found it too noisy and our dog didn't settle.
