“We really enjoyed our first stay at the Mill and hope to come again.”

The accommodation is very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The secure back garden was ideal for our dog. The location is great, Pwllheli and Abersoch beaches close by. We had two nice lunches during our week here and will give them a plug: Caffi Top Cat at Rhiw (LL53 8AE), a characterful seafood cafe with great views which uses local catches and produce. The Lion Hotel at Tudweiliog (LL53 8ND), a very relaxing rural pub with great food and real ales.

“Fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage.”

The owners were extremely helpful in assisting with my husbands oxygen machine being delivered in advance and collected at the end. The dogs enjoyed the back garden at the end of a busy day playing on one of many stunning beaches within easy reach. Our baby grandson also had a great first holiday, even having his first roll in the cottage. We'll be back in the future, as its in a great location for exploring. Thanks to Angela x

“Great property and location is ideal for travelling around the area.”

Some road noise but that wasn't a problem for us. Poor TV reception and intermittent internet connection. Overall a lovely property, horses in the field next door (keeper of the horses do come to the side of the property to feed them) again not an issue for us but others may not like the coming and going so close to the property. Small dogs can get under the gates so not secure in the garden area.

“The mill was lovely, cosy, clean & lots of hot water, great shower, description misleading, looks out on a yard storing caravans but Sykes pictures made it look like it looks out over the field.”

Garden grass needed cutting & we had to repair the rotary washing line. We were there 2 weeks but apparently no cleaning, clean towels or bedding after the first week ? We asked & did get clean bedding dropped off. Great location for the Lleyn & amazing beach 5 mins away, we would go back

“Overall clean and warm but I would say that the listing of it being a peaceful and tranquil location is somewhat generous.”

It's located right next to a main road which I'm afraid you can't ignore. It was as described but is pretty basic and the WiFi is naff. There were a few bulbs missing from lighting here and there which was a bit annoying, but other than that it was ok. I personally wouldn't book it again but if you just need a base it's absolutely fine and no major issues.

“The property provides clean, comfortable accommodation with easy access to local tourist areas such as Pwllheli and Criccieth.”

Straight forward access to the property and ample parking. Accommodation, although having a good standard, is, in our opinion, rather small with open plan kitchenette/Lounge. Ideal for two people, but we feel it would be abit crowded with more than two people present. Unfortunately we had to vacate 4 days earlier than planned due to the constant traffic noise on the adjacent ' A' road, approx 20/30 yards from the property, (from 5am to late into the evening.). which disturbed our peace and enjoyment of the surroundings. We appreciate that the listing shows the proximity of the main road, but we did not expect to be disturbed by the traffic noise to the extent that we were.. Also, the Wifi connection was intermittent and at times inaccessible for lengthy periods of time, which was quite frustrating. Other than that, we did not have any issues with the property or facilities.

“The wifi was terrible at this cottage, yet it states broadband/wifi.”

The owner tried to blame the hot weather, yet the neighbouring cottage which was 4 metres closer to the house, was working fine. I asked why there wasn't a booster for this ,but got no response. The microwave was dirty inside, and the inside back panel was totally unsafe to use, as the paint had peeled completely off and was exposing rusty metal an area the size of my mobile phone. I rang the owner and left my name and that I had checked in the day before, and again no response. I took a photo of the inside of the microwave, which I will be sending to Sykes Cottages.

“We decided to have a staycation because I’m a dog mum & don’t like leaving my pooch behind.”

So mum, Mario & myself had a 4 night stay at the mill. Absolutely lovely. Such a great location which allowed us to explore the area. We loved seeing the horses grazing & relaxing in the near by paddock & loved listening to the birds singing in the early morning soon. The only criticism I have is that it wasn’t long enough.

“1. The google map is wrong and so are the directions in the email.”

2. No booklet in the property showing information on heating, recycling, local info, contact numbers etc. 3. No hot water and a faulty bathroom sink. Both were fixed when I eventually found a contact number on the side of a building. 4. Wifi was very poor inside the property, but was great if you stood outside 5. Location was brilliant. Perfect for our needs.

If the garden was completely secure for dogs that would make it a 10 across the board. Listing the arrival and departure time before having to make the booking. I appreciate that you may not be able to control this and I did ring the office who were pretty rubbish
