Good location, great off road parking. Everything you needed, but would need more crockery so as to be able to use the dishwasher. Very generous ‘goodies’ left for our arrival. Massive comfy bed.

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who told us our part of the house was through the French doors so the picture you see is the whole house not the side section it was small but very clean and tidy the bed was super king size and very comfortable we had a lovely holiday and the dogs loved the beach which was only about 10 min walk away will we go again .

Such a wonderful stay at Plas Bach.

This cosy, dog friendly home is ideally located by our favourite beach at Aberffraw. We arrived late in the evening and the owners had kindly switched on the lights and put the heating on for us which was very much appreciated. The welcome pack was lovely and meant we could put our feet up in the comfy living room and have a cup of tea as soon as we arrived. The bed is super king size and was so comfortable. We slept so well throughout our stay. I really like the fact that the second floor is the bedroom and en suite. It means there is plenty of space and the whole room feels very restful. The garden was perfect for our two dogs, cairn terriers will usually always find a way out if there’s even a small gap but the garden was completely secure . I felt comfortable that they were safe . It was nice to have a table and chairs in the garden too so we could enjoy the sunshine. The kitchen was very well thought out, I would perhaps suggest the addition of a bread knife but otherwise it had everything we needed and felt clean and well looked after. Parking was an absolute dream, we had plenty of space at the front of the house to park and unload our car. I appreciated the fact that we could park our car on the drive and had plenty of room to pull on and off when we went out for the day. Plas Bach is really well placed for the lovely local cafe which offers delicious food and easy walking distance to the beach, shop and local art gallery. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to know that they were nearby of we needed them but they were very unobtrusive. We really enjoyed our stay at Plas Bach, it was very homely and we’re looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Lovely property.

Was an ideal base for our dog walks - right next to aberrfraw beach with easy access to the rest of Anglesey, the North Wales coast and Holyhead.

Plas Bach is very easy to find and although on a main road, the traffic noise was minimal.

The cottage was very comfy- especially the super king size bed. We also found it very easy to keep clean, even after a muddy-pawed dog had walked into the sitting room! There was Freeview TV and a strong internet connection for streaming channels on an iPad (eg) The fridge is huge; there’s a microwave, and dishwasher - that we didn’t use - and easy to use oven and hob. Plas Bach is ideally situated for local beaches and it’s a short drive to supermarkets in Holyhead and the quirky shops in Beaumaris. There’s a pub a few minutes away and good eating places in nearby Rhosneigr.

Highly recommend this accommodation.

It was in a quiet location, clean, comfortable and felt like a home from home. We had a lovely few days here and didn’t want to leave. We plan to return here. Thank you to the owners for all the welcome gifts, very thoughtful and considerate.

Absolute gem of a property.

Next to the owners house, but they do not intrude whatsoever and leave you to enjoy your holiday. Amazing welcome pack of Welsh produce including bread, cheese, butter, fruit cake and Welsh cakes…beverages and milk. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable super king bed. Location is excellent to walk the river, costal path, beach and dunes. Fully enclosed yard for the dogs which is much bigger than the photo portrays. This property is now one of our favourites to rent when in Anglesey.

This cottage is fantastic, great location and Mr and Mrs Hughes so welcoming.

This was our second visit in a year we loved it so much the first time. It is well equipt and lovely and warm. There is just enough in village, fantastic cafe around corner, shop and post office. Lots of places to walk. Best thing we like is it is dog friendly. Definitely on list for next year

We very much enjoyed our 2 weeks holiday in Plas Bach, ideal for a couple & dog owners with the fully enclosed side yard & walking distance from the beach.

Everything was clean & fresh. The owners live next door were friendly & helpful but not intrusive & left us a very generous welcome pack of goodies. Huge the owner had very kindly put up the large dog cage & stair gate for us, which was great saved us taking one. Even though the kitchen is small it’s got all you need & a good sized fridge/ freezer so was able to have a grocery’s shop delivered. I would only add one thing a wash line in the side yard. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again it’s a great location. Thanks to Huge & family for providing a great holiday home

So well equipped, home from home, perfect in every way…and a lovely suprise welcome tray in the kitchen. Words don’t give justice to how pleased we were with the accommodation, weather, locals friendly and welcoming. Beautiful countryside and enjoyed listening to the jet aircraft flying over. Everywhere was dog friendly so my little pooch enjoyed himself too.

We very happy with holiday property.

It was very clean, comfy and had everything one could possible need. The supply of Welsh produce was very welcome and enjoyed.The property is ideally situated with a variety of walking options to river, beach and countryside, together with pub,cafe and store. Even the weather was wonderful.

This was our second time staying here, it's ideal for our dog the springer spaniel to enjoy his walks in the sand dunes and have a swim as we walked along the tidal river that leads to the beach.

We enjoy staying at this property, just the right size , it's clean, quiet, large comfy bed, good shower has parking outside your door has a good kitchen and an enclosed side yard. Thank you for the welcome pack although we didn't use some of it... we will return ..

Lovely, cosy property ideally situated for exploring Anglesey.

Based in a really attractive and friendly village with beautiful walks. The owners were friendly and were on hand if we needed anything but didn't bother us. We had such a wonderful time, hopefully we'll go back one day.

Very nice little property in an old village location Fantastic beach and sand dunes to walk the dogs In my opinion the garden wall could do with moving so you get less parking space but more outdoor space for any pets you've got with you

It’s a lovely little cottage and we would recommend it.

It’s a 5 minute walk to the sandy river estuary which leads to the beach. You have to pass the village pub on the way! It’s a 5 minute drive to the Oyster Catcher in Rhosneigr and a 10 minute drive to the woods at Newborough. Both have plenty of free parking. The only drawback is that it is on a main road. It’s not too busy but the traffic along there is quite fast and that’s not the fault of the cottage owners. The cottage does have a side entrance with a gate, but be a little careful if you have doggies with you as you exit the property. We had a great time.

2 of us and the dog it had everything we needed for a 5 night stay. Would recommend and will definitely stay there again in the future

Absolutely lovely accommodation, .

As soon as we walked in we were impressed with this lovely little cottage, our hosts were always on hand but not intrusive, there is everything you need in the cupboards for cleaning, tea towels, and a fab welcome pack butter, milk, cheese, bread and cakes. The yard is fully enclosed with a 5 ft wall for dog. We took our crate but there is a very large dog crate in the cupboard under the stairs, there is also a stair gate to keep pooch downstairs. The bed was super comfy and super king! Hot water always and good shower. There are lovely walks for the dog and it’s. 2 minute walk to the wash for a long walk along the estuary to the beach. I can highly recommend the cafe literally just around the corner the food was amazing and reasonably priced. I cannot fault this cottage it’s beautiful. Pictures are accurate. A lovely, quiet relaxing week. Thank you!

Beautiful accommodation, very clean and well equipped.

Milk, bread, cheese and Welsh cakes on arrival. 5 minutes from a stunning secluded beach and handy for all that Anglesey offers. Disappointed we didn’t get to try the food at The Crown pub (recommended by all previous visitors). Would definitely recommend.

Mr Hughes was a good host very helpful and welcoming.

The property was excellent and wel designed. However as an informative comment that this property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The W.C is very low to the ground, stairs to the mezzanine is steep and for dog owners the property is on a main busy road. The pub is closed in the village so there is only a cafe for snacks . The points noted are more for Sykes than Mr Hughes as they should be mentioned in the description

The holiday was booked last thing as part of our anniversary celebrations.

The cottage was attached to the home owners house. We were able to park right outside. It was lovely, clean, warm and very welcoming.There were goodies on a tray and in the fridge, most welcome after our journey to Anglesey. The bed was huge and very comfy, slept really well. Our two dogs loved it as well as we were so close to the beach, daily walks before going out and exploring the area. So much to see and do on Anglesey we did not leave the island and had a wonderful holiday. Only comment, needs more information in the cottage re the local area for any first timers to the island.

Lighting in the bedroom could be improved.

For example it was difficult to see the contents of drawers in the chest of drawers and lighting above the dressing table would have been helpful. The owners were found to be very friendly and helpful. They were also very easy to contact. The welcome pack was comprehensive and very good. We would consider staying at this property again.

A lovely holiday home.

The hosts are lovely people and extremely helpful. It has everything you need. We were especially pleased with the special touches such as the bread, milk, cakes, cheese and butter. Very kind. There were cleaning materials, cloths etc too which was a great bonus. It was spotlessly clean and neat and tidy. My husband, dog and I really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Plas Bach what a lovely little place very clean and everything you needed was there.

A lovely welcome pack too which was greatly appreciated. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The only slight problem I encountered was that due to the unusually cold weather for late April I did in the evenings feel rather cold and found it difficult to get the electric storage heaters to work as there did not appear to be any instruction manual. I did however after a couple of nights manage to get them working but I think that was more luck than anything else. There was also an electric fire set in the fireplace but again this did not appear to work. But apart from that I had a very lovely time in a really lovely property and would return.

Really clean and comfortable especially the super king bed.

The accommodation was as described - everything we could have needed was to hand.

The owner, Mr Hughes, was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with Storm Kathleen’s appearance so weather was an issue - not unknown in Anglesey. We cut our holiday short because of the wet weather and for family reasons.

We recently spent a very enjoyable few days at Plas Bach.

This has to be one of the best cottages that we have stayed in.The family were very friendly and helpful and also genererous,leaving a lovely welcome tray. Definately highly recommended.

We enjoyed our short stay which we booked at very short notice.

The owner did a fabulous job in getting a new kitchen installed in time for our arrival. We found the property very clean, comfortable and well equipped for a couple. Hard floors throughout took away any worries about our two dogs. Always welcome to see an ensuite which is very good. As per previous comments, dog owners should note that there is only a (secure) side yard at the property, but the beach/dune area is literally 5 minutes away for the early morning or late evening walks, and the local beach is fabulous for longer walks. Would definitely recommend the property.

A small cosy rental.

Great position in village. Short walk to the beach. Took our two dogs who loved it. My only criticism was the enclosed garden was concrete so no grass for the dogs to do there business. Other than that would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we opened the front door we knew we had made the perfect choice .

This cottage was as good as the pictures led us to believe.

Very clean and upon arrival we were delighted to find a welcome pack in the kitchen including a pint of milk in the fridge which meant we didn’t have to rush out to buy some. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows available. We had reasonable weather and didn’t need to use the heating however there was a heated towel rail in the bathroom which is always a bonus. This is a lovely base to visit many of the attractions and we would recommend Rhosneigr, Beaumaris Castle, South Stack on Holyhead, a drive around the coast to Cemaes and Amlwch. A walk to the nearby beach is well worth it too but where decent footwear if it’s wet as parts of the path can be boggy.

The Welsh hamper was a lovely surprise on arrival! The local area is stunning, and it's a great base for exploring the towns, villages and coastline.

Cute 1 bedroom cottage.

Well equipped for a romantic break. Hugh and Ceri the owners who live next door are a friendly helpfull couple, without being obtrusive. The welcome pack they left was perfect, had everything you need for a first day. So you didn't have to rush off to by essential provisions. Cafe next door serves wonderful breakfast and snacks. Heritage hairdressers also next door, is a treat after a windswept day on gorgeous near by beach. Only negative the pub is closed in the village. But found Jaspels cider farm that is within walking .distance. My husband and our Welsh terrier had a lovely holiday.

Property was great the only thing that spoiled the break was the pub being closed and having to do an eight mile round trip to go get a drink and a meal.

We had a lovely stay such a good location to explore Anglesey , thank you for our welcome pack on arrival the owners were very accommodating I would definitely recommend staying here we will visit again .

The place is nice, clean & sufficient for 2 adults & 1 year old 2 GSD.

It's close to the beach 5 to minutes walk as well as a dog friendly pub & cafe. The only issue is bed & pillows are so uncomfortable that we couldn't sleep & our bodies & necks are aching. The reason we gave only 3 stars. Water leaked from bathroom to bedroom corner when shower so we put down towels to stop it. Regrettably, we won't be staying again due to lack of sleep.

lovely stay beach so close and a very good beach pub was great food fantastic only drawback is get a good shop in as there is only 1 little shop selling milk eggs etc so travel 15mins to big asda aldi etc

The property was clean, modern and not too small.

Lovely comfortable bed, which we consider a must. The owners were on hand if we needed anything, other than that they just got on with there daily lives. They left a number of treats, which was very nice. The only thing I missed was being able to sit in a. garden. Other than that everything was fine. Richard, Helen and Charlie Lancs.

We can’t fault this property or the owners.

The owners are a wonderful couple very friendly and they were extremely helpful, we asked for a yard brush and replacement kettle (the lid wouldn't open on the kettle) and they were provided, the very next morning, as promised, along with a spade to scoop up our dog poops. The property was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Oh and the sheer pleasure of having fluffy bath sheets to wrap yourself in after your shower; just like home. Thank you for making our holiday so pleasurable.

The owners live next door never bothered us but on hand if need anything . The property is lovely everything you need for your stay . Situated next to a farmers field . No noise just peace and quiet . The area is great , beach 5 mins walk away and what a beach , great views lovely walks . Pub and a cafe both in less than 5mins walk away , both serve great food . Damage to doors from a dog visible and painted over. Nice welcome pack. Fantastic walks from the property to local costal walks and beach. Local amenities were good. Outlook from bedroom window not great looking into a farm.

The accommodation was just right for 2 people.

The equipment was just what was needed and straightforward. Lovely large supersize bed with bathroom off the bedroom. Ideally located for Tycroes Tea Rooms and Aberfraw beach. A beautiful area

The generous groceries were extremely appreciated and everywhere was spotless.

Thankfully we were offered a bonus extra free nights and the weather on those days was great for walking the dog and enjoying the beaches. Then the weather deteriorated so we came home a day early. It was tricky drying all our wet clothes! Provision of the dog crate was very much appreciated and there is a stair gate too. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage.

Beautifully equipped. Even a television in the bedroom. An excellent starter pack of groceries. Wonderful location. We are going to book it again for next September.

Perfect quiet relaxing break

The cottage is lovely, a massive bed upstairs with a lovely bathroom and very clean.

Downstairs is very comfortable and even has Sky TV. The location is wonderful, especially for dogs, ours adores the river especially when the tides in. Its great for getting around Anglesey and not that far from the mainland

A great base for a really relaxing holiday. The apartment is fitted out to a high standard. The super-king size bed was fantastic. Everything there that we needed, perhaps listing could reflect all that is included- TV in bedroom, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Thanks for a lovely week.

A perfect holiday let for two people.

Owners live next door and were very friendly. Welcomed with groceries including welsh cakes. Quiet location in quiet village. Village pub is friendly with good food.

The property has everything you need for a stress free holiday. Extremely clean and comfortable. Lovely welcome tray with every day essentials provided which was much appreciated. Ideally situated as it is only a short walk to the beach.

The cottage is extremely well fitted out and very comfortable.

The location is so handy on the edge of the village within easy walking distance of all the facilities. Great walking for dogs along the river estuary to the sea. In all perfect.

The kitchen needs a bread knife!

Not everyone eats/likes sliced bread and trying to cut a loaf with a steak knife isn't easy.

Very comfortable, modern decor, well equipped, ample off road parking, and in an excellent location.

The place was very comfortable, even had Sky TV, kitchen was good and it was really clean.

The icing on the cake was the wonderful bedroom, so spacious and a massive bed, the ensuite was lovely and the shower was roomy and easy to use. One suggestion would be to change the downstairs sofa as it is a little small. The hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They left a lovely tray of Welsh goodies and even took in a parcel for us! They couldn't have been any better. Even though the weather was a bit 'changeable' we had a lovely time and would definitely go again.

The cottage was very well placed on the outskirts of the village but everywhere was easily reached on foot even by those of mature years.

Well placed for touring the island also and to do main shopping when needed. The cottage was very well equipped and extremely clean and would certainly recommend it to any couple for a nice relaxing holiday. Will certainly go again.

Great place to stay would return, exceptionally clean well furnished and comfortable, great location.

The cottage was fantastic very comfortable and clean, the welcoming pack was an extra bonus.

The cottage is situated in such a beautiful place and only two mins walk to the estuary and onto the beach. We were unable to holiday abroad this year but our week here made up for it! Will definitely come again and already recommended to others.

We booked this as a last minute break due to covid and lockdown and it was just perfect!

!! We stayed from Mon to Fri and we could have stayed there all summer! Like other reviewers have said the owners left a thoughtful welcome pack of essentials and it is in walking distance to a beach. We took a trip out to Newborough beach and Red Wharf Bay and they were both beautiful - even though the weather wasnt overly great. We had a look for somewhere to have a takeaway and trip advisor reviews recommended 'The Codmother' in Newborough. They were 6 stars never mind 5! We will definitely be returning!

The beach and a dog friendly pub that serves good meals just five minutes walk away. The cottage is very modern cosy and clean and provides everything you need for a stress free holiday.The owner provides a lovely welcome tray with essentials and extras which means you don't need to go dashing off to the shops as soon as you arrive. Highly recomend.

A warm welcome and a generous welcome pack. We were very comfortable and loved Aberffraw.

The cottage was of a very high standard.

The main issue, which ruined our holiday, was that the television only worked sporadically. We are both tennis and cricket enthusiasts and, as this was the second week of Wimbledon and the Cricket World Cup was also on during that week, we were looking forward to watching. The TV service was so poor that it became impossible to watch. The owners gave us a voucher to spend at the local pub to compensate for the TV problems, which was kind of them. However, it is difficult to believe that this was not a long term issue, that should have been addressed before the holiday season.

The welcome pack is a lovely gesture and Hugh is extremely welcoming. We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.. so much so that we have booked again for next year. Aberffraw is a gorgeous location with a beautiful beach that welcomes dogs too. Cannot praise this holiday enough. Thank you so much for exceeding our expectations.

Great location, great dog friendly, food serving pub down the road. Had a fabulous week here, so much so, we have booked for next year. Only minor fault, the settee is a pain to get up from after a days walking

Lovely welcome pack, great bed and a nice touch with full sky package. Pub two minutes walk away and a great village pub at that.

Great Location to Explore Anglesey great Hosts had everything we needed.

Plas Bach was ideal for our 5 night stay with our 2 dogs.

It was spotlessly clean and had all that we needed. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating and we really appreciated the “goodies” left for us. Despite the time of year we had lovely walks on the nearby beaches and highly recommend Penmon for a day out. The Pilot House cafe made a great venue for a snack lunch.

Amazing location, superb walks from the door with breathtaking scenery.

Beach & dog friendly pub are only a matter of metres away.

This is far the best cottage we have ever stayed in.

The local pub does great food and lets dogs in the bar area. The beach is again the best I have ever seen and Bobby our dog loved it. I must say the welcome tray with milk bread cheese ect was most welcoming as we could have a brew as soon as we arrived. Hugh the owner lived next door if you needed anything which we didn’t he was there. We will be back for sure. Thanks again for a great stay Carol Andy and Bobby the dog

Fabulous cottage, spotlessly clean and welcoming, will definitely be returning.

The cottage was great, just a few minutes walk from the beach.

The welcome pack was brilliant, milk, bread, cheese, cake, biscuits, butter. Hugh greeted us and then called round later to make sure we had everything. We would certainly go back there.

A lovely place everything in place that you require also dog friendly A welcome tray of Welsh goodies was a nice suprise Superking size bed in the ensuite bedroom was terrific Local pub was great everyone friendly and the food was homemade and delicious The beach is a great place to walk your dog All places to visit on the island are only about 30mins max drive away

This cottage is in fabulous location for dog-walkers.

Everywhere is dog-friendly and the riverbank/sand dunes/ beaches are ideal walking territory. The cottage is clean and well-appointed - the bedroom on the mezzanine floor is amazing.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Plas Bach.

Cannot recommend this property enough - no negatives to report. The owners go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, including little extras such as sky tv and a welcome tray of welsh goodies. The property is located on the edge of Aberffraw village with easy access to the village and beach.

Arrived at cottage to find a lovely welcoming pack bread/milk/butter/jam/cake/ even ice cubes if i have not mentioned it i bet it was there.

The owners (Hugh and Ceri) literally were the perfect hosts. From getting there and finding the most amazing welcome pack of Welsh products to even helping me print some stuff off that my work needed me to complete. They were truly lovely and welcoming. The property itself is lovely, well equipped and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need right down to treats for the dogs which I thought were a really nice touch. I would certainly consider staying there again sometime next year.

Great place to stay whilst exploring the beautiful isle of Anglesey!

Plas Bach was very clean, very comfortable and the cottage within easy access to the beaches in Angelsey.

The directions to the cottage were easy to follow and our hosts had left a very lovely, Welsh tray of bread and milk, Welsh butter and cheese, and selection of biscuits and homemade Bara Brith. We can recommend this little retreat and a nice base to potter around the Island.
