Positives- great location, plenty of space for larger groups in the house, good parking space.

Owners responded quickly to queries. Negatives- needs decorating, broken outdoor furniture, weeds everywhere including at the front door, extremely high steps up to the viewing area that should be mentioned. Minimal toilet roll and 1 bin liners which for the price paid and large group booking appeared a little frugal. Odd intermittent smells when in the hot tub which is directly next to the septic tank and bins but not sure where else bins could go.

Perfect location and well equipped holiday cottage.

Comfy beds and lovely artwork on the walls. However, let down by Lack of attention to detail and maintenance. Outdoor areas sadly neglected with broken furniture, dirty BBQ , weeds and rubbish evident. Although pet friendly the outdoor area is not fully secure. Many areas of the house need extra attention to give this property the luxury the location deserves.

It was our second stay at Castell and we’d certainly recommend it.

Lovely spacious house with everything you need and plenty of parking. The beach is just across the road and it’s only a short walk to the main shops/cafes/bars. We’ll definitely return when we come to Abersoch again.

We loved Castell so much!

It is so well equipped with everything you would need . Lovely bedrooms with lots of light and beautiful views, lots and lots of room to spread out ! We loved eating breakfast outside on its impressive wooden table out front ! It has a high quality hot tub that added to our time in early Spring weather - we warmed up at the start of the day and the return from our days out !! The children loved the hillside viewing point at the back . Castell is so near to Abersoch , and a beach walk is just across the road, too . Go, it’s amazing !!! Thank you to the owners for all the detailed information left for using the property and visiting Abersoch !

Had a brilliant stay over Christmas.

Perfect location, friendly town, short walk to the beach, everything we needed in a lovely house. Felt like a home from home! Would definitely stay again!

Good base and location close to Abersoch town centre, and for exploring the coastal and surrounding area.

Stunning house in fantastic location.

Comfortable and well equipped. Towels being provided was an added bonus and the 3 external seating areas were unbelievable. Best house we have stayed after visiting Abersoch annually (sometimes more than once a year) for 20 years. Already booked Castell for next year!

Lovely house to stay in for the week.

We had 5 adults, 2 children and 1 dog and there was plenty of space and comfortable. Fantastic view from the top decking. Great location (close to the harbour beach which is good for paddle boarding)(5-10 min walk to the village centre) (12-15 min walk to Abersoch main beach). Overall we had a superb week staying at Castell.

Absolutely loved the house, everything we needed was there.

Loved the outside areas with decking areas a barbecue and a hot tub which were all used extensively as the weather was superb.Kitchen was well equipped. There was loads of space for our group which was 5x adults and a dalmatian. This would be our house of choice with future stays in abersoch

We had an amazing stay at Castell over Christmas.

It was a perfect location for a family Christmas by the beach. It is well set up for guests and everything has been thought of. The viewing platform above the house was a great addition although you needed to watch your step (this was down to the weather conditions). There was an issue at the property during our stay and our hosts were great and communicated quickly (which we didn’t expect given it was 23rd December!). The oven gloves need to be replaced/bring your own and there was some small areas of black spot mould but given the poor weather we’d had and the business of this property, I’m not surprised and it didn’t take away from our stay. Would highly recommend and we look forward to coming back at some point.

This property had a mixed review from us Check out 10am was too early and check in 4pm was a little late you’re virtually missing 2 days.

We think 12 noon check out in the quieter months is fair and a 2pm check in. You were also expecting us to wash and clean everything before leaving ….

Loved the location of Castell, it really was a very short walk to ther beach.

This beach however is contantly visited by tractors, taking boats onto and off thre beach, and storing the boat 'trollies' for transport! Some holiday makers had to move to make room for the contraptions! However a nearby beach was much quieter, and could vbe accessed on foot, or a short drive. Castell was a comfortable property, and suited our family mix well. The property was well supplied with kitchen equipment, and utensils, we had everything we needed. The only criticism I had wsas the cleaning of thre property, did lack attention to detail. Behind furniture (Sofa) was found to be very dusty with cobwebs. The areas around skirting boards were also not well cleaned. Shower cubicles showed signs of mould and could have been better cleaned. We did have a very good stay, despite the weather, just need to make sure your cleaners do a better job!

The property, was fabulous, great location, very clean.

The kitchen had everything you need, lots of space for all guests. Hot tub was brilliant and plenty of outdoor seating, would definitely recommend and stay again.

Absolutely fantastic!

We had the best weekend staying in Castell. The house is perfect and has everything you need with so much space, spotless too! Beds were really comfortable. The short walk to the beach was definitely an added bonus to this beautiful house with amazing views. We were treated very kindly by the weather so had the most perfect weekend. Highly recommended to anyone. Hosts were very friendly and communication 1st class.

Lovely property, clean and comfortable.

The log burner and hot tub really made it. Would definitely rebook in the future. The only minor concerns were the carpets on the stairs and landing could do with a deep clean along with shower units. Also a canopy over the hot tub would have been great. Highly recommend

We very much enjoyed our stay at Castell which is a lovely, well appointed and spacious property.

A few minutes walk takes you into town but there are restaurants and a cafe closer too. Level access to the harbour and Warren beach (at low tide) but a few minutes walk up the hill towards Pwllheli takes you to the sand dunes access to the Warren beach which is great for early morning dog walks.

We consider this property to be ideally located for Abersoch centre and the harbour beach.

At low tide the Warren beach is accessible. The property has had a number of internal improvements since last year and is well equipped. We found it to be very clean, neat and tidy on arrival.

Lovely position on the outskirts of Abersoch but only a short walk into the village centre. The front garden is a sun trap which was great. The hot tub was a big bonus, it was very well maintained and lovely and warm. Easy to use. Cottage is very well equipped, clean and well maintained. We had 1 question which was quickly answered in an email from the owner. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at the dog friendly, comfortable and well-equipped Castell.

It has everything that makes it a home from home. The situation is across the road from a beach and a short 10 minute walk from the town amenities. The local bus runs frequently with a bus stop 25m away from the front door. The hot tub in the garden was a joy and the high lookout gave wonderful sea views. Thanks for having us.

. just couldn’t find a clothes horse which would of been useful for when the weather isn’t great for drying … apart from that amazing!!

Castell is a lovely house, beautifully presented and with excellent facilities.

Turn left from the property and after a few minutes walk is the Warren beach and turning right from Castell is the lovely village of Abersoch with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The house was beautifully clean and warm with the extra benefit of a log burner. My daughter and partner used the hot tub one evening which they loved and it was also serviced by an engineer during our stay which is an excellent indication that the owner is aware of his obligations to visitors at his property. I cannot fault this property and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to holiday in this beautiful part of the world.

Great location,lovely comfortable property.

Spotless and with everything working. Hot tub added bonus. TV needs an upgrade and viewing needs to be comfortable for all in the lounge to see. Only disappointment was the lack of recycling facilities.

Absolutely gorgeous place , fabulous setting and all as described.

The only little thing was that we couldn’t use the hot tub until the second day as it had been cleaned and refilled . We waited until 0100 but it was still not up to temp . Everything else was lovely .

House was fine, location good.

Hot tub was good. Although couple of frustrations that we couldn’t have expected for the price we paid. No dishwasher tablets, very little toilet roll in each loo, so had to go straight out to buy extra. No egg cups. The main issue was that it could do with a really good clean, loads of dust and dirt under sofas, behind bedside cabinets etc. including old chocolate wrappers. As soon as you go to plug in a charger you see how dirty the place really was. I’d also expect curtains that actually kept the light out, they were so cheap and thin they were useless, which made the whole place feel cheap.

Lovely house, perfectly positioned in close proximity to the town of Abersoch and the beach.

Easy access to the beach which was perfect at high tide for swimming and paddle boarding in shallow waters. We hope to return to explore more of North wales.

Overall the property is excellent providing everything you need for a good holiday.

The location is very good with close access to beaches and local amenities.

Fantastic view from upper seating area and hot tub was great. Just across road from access to beach and a short walk into town. Would stay again.

Lovely cottage, pretty clean and tidy in general.

Hot tub a bonus but could do with a roof / wind shelter and next to the main road. Also, the adjoining property appears to have a shared access which we weren’t aware of. This was a problem as we have a small dog which can nip strangers when frightened. Could do with a decent mop too. All in all though a pleasant experience.

The house was great for our needs, comfortable with 6 guests, hot tub was great, fantastic location too, maybe few more toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets would of been perfect but couldn’t fault the place, would definitely recommend and book again Thanks Rob

There wasn’t a shaving socket so we had to buy toothbrushes.

Otherwise a very comfortable house.

Location was fantastic, couldn't ask for better.

Plenty of parking and great size. Comfortably fit 6 adults and 1 dog. However, I think the cleanliness of the house could be improved. I won't go into too much detail, but we did have to do a bit of cleaning on arrival. Other than that, would recommend and personally we would go there again

Apart from from a few days of rain, we were very lucky with the weather and with the beach virtually on our doorstep, the Grandchildren loved spending time there.

Castell Cottage was perfect for us with all the facilities that we needed plus an added hot tub too! We enjoyed several day trips to some great places including Barmouth & Portmeirion and overall our holiday in Abersoch was just brilliant in every way!

The house was so well equipped and the beds were really comfortable.

The only negative I would say is that the lounge area wasn’t ideal as the tv was in a bad position for more than 2 to watch it. Otherwise we had a fantastic time.
