Enjoying a fabulous location on a working farm, with exceptional country views and an abundance of lambs in March and April, the interior boasts a wealth of original features, including exposed beams and attractive furnishings.
The property benefits from ample off-road parking, an enclosed side garden with bench seating, perfect for savouring the breath-taking views with your morning coffee, and a rear garden with bubbling hot tub, barbecue and furniture, ideal for evenings spent dining alfresco.
On the ground floor, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up tasty dishes ready to enjoy at the dining table for eight over bottles of celebratory fizz.
There is also a conservatory which features a dining table for four where you don’t have to miss out on the beautiful views!
After dinner, you can challenge your loved ones to a game or pool in the games room, curl up in the snug with a good book, or relax in front of the crackling woodburning stove as your favourite show plays out on the Smart TV in the sitting room.

Our stay at The Stables was absolutely wonderful from start to finish!
This beautifully converted barn is a true gem nestled in the stunning North Wales countryside. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breath-taking panoramic views across the rolling hills and valleys. The property itself is spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully furnished with a wonderful blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The games room was a massive hit with our group, with hours spent competing on the pool table and retro Pac-Man machine. The hot tub, with its incredible views, became our favourite spot to unwind each evening, watching the sun set over the countryside. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the whole house felt so homely and welcoming. The hosts, Lindsay and Richard, were absolutely fantastic. They were warm, welcoming, and always on hand if we needed anything. Their friendly sheepdog Gus became an honorary member of our family during our stay, and the children absolutely adored him! One thing to note about the kitchen: the range cooker is geared towards those who enjoy a slower, more relaxed approach to cooking. It's perfect if you love pottering about in the kitchen and preparing hearty, slow-cooked meals while enjoying the company of your group. However, if you're looking to whip up quick meals to maximize your exploring time, it may require a bit more patience and planning.

Had a lovely time here with family (including three small children).
Really loved being on the working farm and seeing the sheep, had some lovely visits from a very friendly sheepdog and it was very peaceful - we were able to see stars and lots of wildlife. Nearby to north coast destinations and nearby town of Ruthin is beautiful, historic and useful for shopping (including very good butcher and baker). Hosts are welcoming, responsive and conscientious.

We’ve just arrived home from the most amazing stay at the Stables!
The property was absolutely perfect for two families of four. The games room was a highlight for the children! We had an amazing time at this property.
There was lots of seating areas to sit and relax, lots of fun games in the property and the hot tub was great and was well maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped and the goodies on arrival were a nice touch!

The Stables is a perfect place to chill out with beautiful views of the Welsh country side.
Everyone enjoyed time in the hot tub (even though it was raining!) and also spent many hours playing on the snooker room. Perfect place with perfect hosts.

Lindsay's place was a treat for our family to stay in.

We had a brilliant stay at the Stables.
A very spacious and beautiful house with a beautiful view of rolling fields and a welcoming host. The snooker table was well used and the hot tub was also enjoyed. With three generations together for an extended weekend, it was the best birthday celebration I have had for a long time.

Absolutely lovely visit, would definitely stay here again.
The photos do not do the property justice. Hosts lovely and we meet a few of their dogs including the famous Gus who appeared at the patio door the last few days. The only feedback would be the ensuite bathroom, the door is very stiff so if it is closed properly it's quite a push/pull to open (the wood has possibly just swollen) and the shower in the ensuite has very little pressure to it. Nothing to stop me visiting again.

The Stables were fabulous in a perfectly remote location with everything you need for comfort leisure and relaxation, Lindsay and Richard were perfect hosts and best of all was Gus the dog.
For me I could only recommend one improvement and that would be to install a handrail on the 4 steps to the upper bedroom as coming down you need to be very careful if you aging or not Steady on your legs. ( oddly all the areas with 2 steps have handrails) We would gladly return for another holiday and thanks once again for your hospitality.

We've just had the most wonderful, relaxing stay at The Stables.
We were welcomed by Lindsay with Gus the dog. The kids looked out for him every day and loved it whenever he came to say hello. The views from The Stables are amazing, the beds are super comfy and it feels really homely. There are lots of quiet spaces to sit around the house or open spaces to gather together. The farm is in a great central location to visit different places around North Wales and beyond. We did day trips as far as Anglesey and Liverpool. We would definitely love to come back.

The property and surrounding area is stunning.
Very comfortable beds, beautifully appointed. Gus the sheep dog is very sweet, welcoming you to the cottage. Lovely welcome basket of treats were left for guests to enjoy. As a group of tired mums , we had the perfect stay, walking in the surrounding hills and relaxing in the hot tub. The hosts are very welcoming and live onsite. The only niggles were the knives were blunt unfortunately which made it tricky to prep food for meals, and a dribble of washing up liquid was provided and no sponge or brush for cleaning pots with.

We had a great time at the Stables.
The farmhouse was superb. A huge space which has been traditionally furnished, and with high quality fixtures, such as the beds, bedding and carpets too. The games room, with snooker table, pacman and other board games was a great addition, especially in the colder, wet weather. We did have some issues with heating and hot water but Lindsay and Richard did their utmost to resolve the problem. As friendly and helpful hosts as you could wish to meet, and Gus the border collie was absolutely adorable(even went on a long walk with us!). Would highly recommend The Stables, not least because of exceptional hosts and Gus the dog!

Fantastic stay this cottage is absolutely stunning with everything you could possibly need !
We took our three older sons and our in laws and it is really hard to satisfy everyone but this cottage done the job ! Games room with the pool/snooker table and all the games including Pac-Man were a hit ! As well as all the books which our eldest loved ! The hot tub was lovely the scenery was fantastic and Gus was a real favourite. Lovely owners and a real gem of a property x

What an absolute gem of a place , perfect location and absolutely idyllic.
We had everything we needed , the hot tub was well used as was the log burner. Lots of goodies were left for us by the Hosts who were helpful and very approachable . Not forgetting Gus who was adorable. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

We had a lovely week in this large cottage with fabulous views.
The property is so well presented with all the things you require and if something is missing you can contact the owner, who lives next door and they will pop down with it. We loved the quirkiness of the place, the different levels and seating areas. We had plenty to do, the hot tub with a view to the hills, the pool table for family competitions and the comfortable living room for relaxing in the evening. The owners dog Gus joined us on walks from the cottage and he would visit us in the evening. He made the holiday, coming to see us every day. There are plenty of things to do within driving distance of the cottage. We went canoeing in Langollen, walked up Moel Famau, walked at Loggerheads, visited Ruthin. Thank you to the owners Lindsay and Richard and their gorgeous dog Gus, we had a great time and I think we picked the best week for weather.

Such a warm welcome from the owner. The accommodation is outstanding, comfy, so clean, had everything (and more) required for our stay. The property was lovely and well presented Lindsay was really helpful.
The road up to the property was a track and hardly any passing places. The Internet was poor unless you stayed in the kitchen near the router the rest of the house was hit and miss with Internet.

Best place we have ever stayed!
Situated in a remote location,the house is beautiful,views are incredible. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and responded to any queries straight away. The photos do not do the house justice. The rooms are all huge and traditionally furnished. The beds were extremely comfortable. Lots of different seating areas inside and out if you want a bit of peace to read. Hot tub was fantastic. I must echo what everyone else says about Gus the sheepdog, what a character. My son is scared of dogs but Gus won him over,he is such a gentle dog. Will definitely return here. We loved it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Stables.
The location is absolutely fantastic with views right across the valley. The house is large, spacious, and well furnished with plenty of games to keep you entertained ( including a pool table) if the weather drives you in doors. However sitting in the jacuzzi watching the sun set across the valley is something I'll never forget.

We could not fault the property,.
It certainly lives up to its listing, providing everything a family could require and more. The views and tranquil setting were excellent. The hot tub, and games room (particularly the pool table, and pac man games machine) kept us all entertained when we returned from our full on days exploring North Wales. The hosts were on hand and responded promptly to any enquiries/requests. We would certainly stay again and recommend to others as well.

My friend group had an amazing stay at the property - was exactly as it appeared in pictures with great facilities including the games room which was a particular favourite of ours!

We had a fantastic stay at the Stables, the property was beautiful, so homely, with incredible views and all the amenities we could ever need .
.. and even more so with the games room - the pacman machine was a hit with the whole family, it wasn't just the children trying to compete for the high score of the holiday! The owners lived just a house away so were so helpful if anything cropped up that needed them and they were always very happy to help. We would definitely stay here again!

Property is very spacious inside and out. Enjoyed the games room and the views from the hot hub are stunning. We all miss Gus! He is adorable. Hope to return one day.

The Stables were lovely for a week at Christmas.
Rich and Lindsay dressed it for Christmas with a beautiful real Christmas tree and other festive decorations. Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the views and peace and quiet and Gus the dog’s daily visits

A beautiful home, lovingly decorated and well equipped for a holiday rental.
The hosts had very kindly decorated for Christmas - even a beautiful Christmas tree! My family and I had the most wonderful time - cooking in the large kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating which made us feel even more welcome - even their lovely dog Gus! We were absolutely amazed by the views of the Clywdian range and over the fields. Such a wonderful experience, would thoroughly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful.
Stunning countryside. Cottage was spacious, quirky, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed for the weekend was taken care of, even down to tea towels for the kitchen. Hot tub was a massive hit for both adults and children. Nothing too much trouble for Lindsay when we needed to call her. Added bonus was watching Angus the sheep dog rounding up sheep on his own, brilliant.

You are wonderful hosts. What a fabulous place! So big, yet so cosy. Our 13 year old loved the pool table (as did we!) We felt so welcome and warm in your wonderful property and look forward to returning. It was amazing to have your sheepdog Gus accompany us on our walks - he knew exactly where to go!

We enjoyed a perfect short stay at The Stables. We were so impressed that we have booked our summer holiday here too. The location is beautiful, the amenities in the cottage effuse love and thought and the host is wonderful but not intrusive. You could not ask for a better stay and we are counting down the days until our next visit.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at The Stables near Ruthin.
It was simple enough to find using sat nav, and is in a beautiful, remote, location with stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The hosts left a very useful, tasty welcome pack, and were available for help and support if needed. The house was very well equipped for a family stay, and we did not think of anything that was missing or that we needed. The property has many rooms to explore, relax and socialise as you wish, and there's a wonderful selection of books for all tastes. The games room was very popular, the TV was available but never really switched on during our stay. The hot tub was most appreciated, with stunning views to enjoy. We managed to explore/revisit some local towns due to its central location. The pace of life is more relaxed and we found everyone that we met were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a holiday here, and would return. Thank you once again Lindsay and Richard, and your friendly sheepdog Gus.

We came away as a group of couples, the stables was exactly what was described and the hosts were lovely and although they live close by we hardly saw them unless we needed anything.
The house is clean and they have all of the basic amenities and more. We had a fantastic stay and loved the hosts sheep dog Gus who led us on a walk, came for lots of fuss and was a hit with everyone. Overall this was a Great stay, very peaceful but close enough to Ruthin and Wrexham to explore.

We had a lovely stay at The Stables recently.
It is a gorgeous property in a picturesque location and we made full use of all the facilities. Kids loved the games room and to sit out in rathe hot tub of an evening looking out over the hills is really special. Owner was on hand to help if needed, as was the dog Gus who was a massive hit with everyone. Roads in and out are a bit of fun for the car suspension and the absence of any 4G signal makes the satnav obsolete at times but it all adds to the fun! We loved it!!

This was such a beautiful cottage, it’s a must to go the rooms are huge and so lovely - you have a great hot tub and all round seating in the garden everybody enjoyed the games room playing pool.
Every time we left Gus the farm dog would greet us so lovely. The only thing I would have liked is a radio or trying the kitchen with this being the hub of the cottage plus we are on O2 and could only use the phone by the hub. Be careful on the very narrow roads on the way to the cottage.. but it’s well worth the most beautiful views. Oh also great to be greeted by the owner with the keys.

A lovely cottage with beautiful views over the Welsh countryside and very well equipped, we especially enjoyed the games room, the hot tub, and Gus the farm sheepdog who was always there to say hello and greet us on our return after a day out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables last week.
The owners met us on arrival and showed us how everything worked, advised that we could contact them at any point during our stay if we encountered any problems or required advice. We made full use of the hot tub with lovely views over the fields.My husband thought we would be able to walk to the local pub as was about 1,5 miles on the map. This road was quite narrow & not really suitable for walking. We chose to drive to the local pub- The Red Lion, where we enjoyed a lovely meal, can recommend the curries. Many places to visit, we enjoyed Conwy and the zipline at Penrhynn quarry, also Snowdon(unfortunately due to weather we didn't reach the summitt !) We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful cottage.

Everything from start to finish was easy.
Loved the cottage and the owners couldn't have been more accommodating. Always felt they were there if needed, but didn't impose. The hot tub was fantastic and the beds very comfy. A very relaxing stay, just what we needed.

Well equipped property and beautiful location.
Owners Lindsay and Richard were extremely welcoming and helpful, they even left gifts for our grandchildren under the Christmas tree, and a lovely "welcome" pack for us. The house had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed the log burner and hot tub too! We hope to return to enjoy another holiday break soon.

We had a wonderful time as a family in this beautiful place.
The views were stunning and we particularly enjoyed playing snooker, walking in the countryside and using the hot tub. Lindsay and Richard were extremely welcoming and helpful; we would definitely recommend this property.
