“Great location, helpful owner,gave instructions for the EV, mentioned steps to access both front of house and garden,no rail on garden steps and gate swings back onto steps Be aware it is slate shingle underfoot, incase you take a pet Everyone enjoyed their stay, you park directly outside property,be aware you are roadside Neighbours were pleasant, Spar shop is in easy walking distance, lovely little Kirk and great walk which was in book on side unit behind dining table.”

Great views from the front and the top floor too, as light pollution low, it's star gazers dream Kitchen equipped for full on cooking or just breakfast and snacks prep., as recommended by the owners the pub does good food Main bathroom had a bath as well as shower section, I could only twist dial to hand held as opposed to top shower head ,temperature control was easy and no surprise dip in pressure

Our garden does have slate underfoot on the path, which is very common within Snowdonia National Park, our 12 year old springer has no issue with his paws so hopefully ok for other dogs as they are not tiny pieces. “This cottage is really lovely and is a great base to explore North Wales.”

The open plan dining room/lounge was great. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The owner was very quick to communicate and accommodated an earlier check-in which was much appreciated. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious, but worth noting the double-beds are very creaky. The local hotel was great to go for drinks with friendly staff and community. Loads of amazing walks on your doorstep too!

“Lovely location with amazing views surrounding the property.”

Wifi and TV channels were probably the best we have experienced in a rural stay. Lots to do in the area - the children had a great day at the local Zip activity centre and we enjoyed walks locally. A short drive to the nearest town. There are 2 pubs located very close to the property and a small shop. It had everything we needed as a family of 4 with a dog.

“Lovely stay over Christmas week.”

perfect location right in the snowdonia national park! So close to zipworld!!!! Lovely walks without needing the car!! Very cosy cottage and secure! Owners are so fast on the phone with any queries very good hosts! Will book again!

“We found the cottage, bright, clean in a great location for visiting Zipworld.”

Great to have a porch, then front door and another door to the dowstairs as we had our dog with us, so could stop him going upstairs. Cottage had everything you needed, large dining table, TV and comfy couches. Kitchen was full equipped with underfloor heating, dishwasher and large fridge freezer with a back door with access to the garden, but be aware the garden is high up with stone steps to access it. Large bathroom on the first floor with 2 double rooms, then private curtain and up another set of stairs twin room with ensuite shower and bathroom. Enclosed front, with steps upto the cottage, parking outside but on the pavement, it is a fairly busy A470 road, we visited Ellens hotel for food, which was really nice and only a 5 min walk, carry on another 5 mins and there is ankther pub, it was thai night and this was also really nice, across the road is a Spar shop so also handy.

“The cottage was ideal for what my wife and I were looking for.”

It was lovely and clean. The kitchen, although small was well equipped with everything necessary for self catering. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and clean and the bedding was freshly laundered and smelled lovely. Our 3 spaniels soon settled in and the garden was secure which was reassuring as our youngest dog has a very adventurous spirit. The heating system worked a treat and the cottage was lovely and warm. The location was perfect with some wonderful walks on the doorstep and Betws-y-coed ten minutes in the car. All in all a lovely cottage and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

“We had a lovely week at Haulfryn, a brilliant location for exploring the area.”

For us the cottage was lovely, warm and cosy. We found that for making meals it would benefit from a few extra items. We contacted the owners who were very quick to respond and were keen for feedback. If you are tall one of the double beds is rather short, we just moved to the other bed so no problem for us. The cottage is the very first cottage on the right when entering the village. Look for the orange bin. We really liked the elevated position, it had a lovely view. Loads of walks from the cottage We had a great week. Thank you

“The cottage is lovely, sitting room is very comfortable and the bedrooms arre good.”

The kitchen was OK but it would be difficult if we'd bood the house to capacity. Too small (which is understandable due to the cottage) and not quite equiped correctly. We had a really good week and the local pub is very welcoming.

“We have just returned from our holiday in Wales.”

Once again we stayed at Haulfryn and we are happy to say we had a fabulous time and were very well looked after throughout our stay. The cottage is cozy, beautifully presented, well equipped and very clean. It has amazing views and is so restful. There are steps up to the cottage which are clearly described in the property brief, they were a little slippery when wet but well lit and there is a sturdy handrail. Whilst we were there we experienced one small issue which was addressed quickly by the owners. We found their care and attention second to none. We would not hesitate to come back again and intend to rebook next year.

DOLWYDDELAN

Betws-y-Coed 6 miles.

Situated in the beautiful Lledr Valley at the foot of Moel Siabod in the Snowdonia National Park, just 6 miles from the popular tourist centre of Betws-y-Coed, the pretty village of Dolwyddelan is an ideal location from which to explore the whole of this spectacular mountain region. The village has a church dating to around 1500, whilst on the outskirts of the village is the 13th century Dolwyddelan Castle, which boasts magnificent views from its battlements. There are numerous walks in the mountains and the Gwydyr Forest and the railway line along the valley makes it possible to combine a walk one way with a return by train. The Afon Lledr is noted for sea trout and salmon fishing, and visiting golfers are welcome at the 9-hole course at Betws-y-Coed. Dolwyddelan village has a late-opening general store and two pubs serving bar meals, whilst within 8 miles, Betws-y-Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llanrwst offer a wide range of amenities.
