Happy with the cottage in all respects

Hafan Cottage is a lovely cottage set close to woodland in the village of Bedgellett.

We had an issue with the electric meter it was broken but luckily we still had heating. We contacted you and you quickly responded resolving the issue. The only problem we found was that there is no customer WiFi in the cottage but WiFi is described in the listing and as the village receives EE network this was a problem as the only free WiFi was at the local pub and even when we tried to sign into EE network to buy internet it wouldn't except it. We had no WiFi and could not make any calls which is bad incase we needed to call for help. We would not book Hafan Cottage again because of the lack of customer WiFi.

This property was ideal for our needs, we had a lovely stay.

Nice central location making it easy to do both mountains and coast. Spacious well equipped accommodation with a lovely raised patio area with mountain views and the additional lawn area was a bonus for the dog. The steps are steep mind you so won't suit everyone. Would book again.

Hafan is a quaint grade 2 listed cottage in the beautiful village of Beddgelert, with an array of stunning scenery, walks to suit various abilities.

There's a conveniant shop, post office & bus service along with some choice dining places. Unfortunately the biggest downfalls of Hafan cottage was its dirt, not only cobwebs everywhere but dust & grime on furniture woodwork & inside kitchen cupboards, where there is no empty cupboards to put food items away as filled with paint pots. The oven is a disgrace & very much in need of a deep clean therefore the micowave was a blessing. The wooden flooring as you step out of the kitchen is in need of maintenance as its soft & unsteady underfoot. Lastly although Hafan is a grade 2 listed building I imagine it has some restrictions upon it however, the staircase for safety reasons could benefit greatly from a continuing handrail to the top. I do hope the owner does attend to these concerns as Hafan cottage has the potential to become a more rewarding accomodation.

Cottage was lovely, very well kept and spacious, nice touch of the owner to provide tea, coffee milk and selection of biscuits just in case.

Would definitely book the cottage again.

Hafan cottage was perfect location in Beddgelert for exploring North Wales.

With walks from the door step and close acess to the village of Beddgelert. The cottage was an ideal size for 2 adults and 2 children. Handy with two bathrooms. The beds were comfy. The weekly clean of bathrooms and kitchen was fine. However, the property was well overdue a thorough spring clean. With a lot of dust and cob webs in every room. Which gave an overall feeling of uncleanliness. Parking on the road was not a problem all week.

Hafan is a great little cottage that suited us as a couple, but would be equally good for a small family or 2 couples, as the 2 bedrooms are quite large, and there are 2 bathrooms.

The electric wall heaters rapidly heated up the rooms we were using, and over our 5 night stay we only used about a half of the £60 electricity quota included in the booking fee. The log burner was also extremely effective and cosy in the evenings. The kitchen was well equipped. Some might say that the decor and fittings were a little dated/tired. Because we were arriving late I had to ring the owner to make sure we could still get a key, and he was polite and helpful. The cottage is situated no more than a 5 minute level walk to 4 pubs, a bistro, a pizzeria and ice cream parlour, and the local shop. It is superbly located for access to the hills and mountains of Snowdonia, as well as the coast at Porthmadog. Finally it was excellent value for money.
