Cartref

The bungalow has lovely sea views and is located a short walk to the beach and not too far from the shops and restaurants.

It was spotlessly clean and fitted and furnished to an extremely high standard, love the lighting both inside and outside. The welcome hamper was very generous and much appreciated. We liked it so much we have booked to go again next year.

We are a family party of six, four adults.

We had one teenager and one 9yr old with a sensory disability. I have mobility problems. On arrival, we parked on the drive allowing for our daughters arrival shortly after us. The steps outside thankfully have a handrail which made it easier to negotiate. I followed the instructions that we received by email. it was a simple enough process and we were soon inside and alarm unarmed. The bungalow, with all it's accomodation on the ground floor was a delight. It was beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The furnishings were stylish and more importantly very comfortable. Lighting options were great for mood setting. The seaviews from the lounge window and front bedroom is what every one wants on holiday, beautiful. As the elders, and first to arrive we got first dibs on the bedrooms and we settled into the rear double with ensuite shower room. We had a view out to the garden. The closet was well lit, had plenty of hangers. drawers, and a valuables safe. The lighting was well thought out, main light, bedside lights, vanity mirror, in the ensuite there were night lights, a main light and an illuminated mirror. Each bedroom had similar lighting options. Plenty of sockets, some with USB, great for the kids and grandmas games and gadgetry. The kitchen and utility was so well equipped and the welcome pack was lovely and much appreciated. The garden furniture was well used. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to see the Robot lawnmower in action. The local area around the bungalow is a little steep for me and I needed the car to get down to the beach but I was aware of this when I booked. Just two issues to be aware of. The over dining table lights are off centre and hang very low. Our daughter and son in law hit their heads every meal time without fail. Which I must admit kept us laughing but maybe they could have little hooks that would allow them to be shortened. The fire sensor in the kitchen is very sensitive and dispite never burning any food, it was triggered most mornings at breakfast. All in all we had a lovely family holiday at Cartref and would highly recommend this accommodation. The owners have done a fantastic job, to make people's holiday experience a great one. We would definitely come back again to this beautiful property. Thanks so much.

We spent a wonderful week at Cartref Holiday Cottage in August and couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had a welcoming feel from the moment we arrived. The kitchen and bathrooms were furnished to a high standard, with every accessory and piece of equipment you could possibly need — plus a fully equipped utility room that made day‑to‑day living effortless. The lounge was comfy, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding, and having Netflix access was a brilliant bonus for cosy evenings in. The bedrooms were comfortable and peaceful, giving us all a great night’s sleep after exploring the area. The location was ideal too: just a short, easy walk to the beach, making morning strolls and sunset visits wonderfully simple. It’s a fantastic base for discovering the surrounding coastline and attractions. We had a couple of small queries during our stay, and Paul responded like an absolute superhero. Overall, Cartref is a cheerful, well‑kept property that made our holiday feel comfortable, carefree, and thoroughly enjoyable. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a bright, welcoming coastal getaway.

A great holiday home.

A well equipped house with quality furniture and fittings. The kitchen had all that you needed. It was well presented and spotless. The welcome pack was appreciated. The outside was spacious with a pleasant garden. The location is excellent for access to the nearby beach, close to nearby shops and coastal walks. Great care has been taken to prepare this as a holiday let.

Our third time at Cartref !

Interesting to see from the visitors' book that so many folk return to Cartref. Interesting - but not surprising. It's always a delight to find Cartref so peaceful, comfortable and welcoming. It is a credit to you guys that you've continued to keep standards so high. You don't get so many 5 star feedbacks for nothing ! ☆ So if you're looking for somewhere mega-comfortable, clean, with lovely views situated in a convenient quiet location, stop scrolling, you've found it !!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Cartref.

The house was lovely and very clean and welcoming,we were at home immediately. All the rooms were furnished and fitted out to a very high standard. Well done to Paul, Scott and the housekeepers. 5 stars and thank you.

The accommodation was absolutely first rate.

We appreciated lots of little touches that made it feel like home from home. We also very much appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner.

Cartref was brilliant accommodation situated on a quiet road, easy parking on the drive and only a few minutes to the beach.

The owners had thought of everything including a very comprehensive welcome pack. It was so comfortable and well designed we had such a lovely holiday

This was our third stay at this gorgeous holiday house and we are already planning visit number four.

It has everything you could need for a relaxing stay, nothing has been missed. Spotlessly clean and the perfect location just two minutes from Benllech beach. You can’t help but feel at home the second you arrive.

Great accommodation beautiful views.

Would recommend. We would have preferred to have controlled the heating.

Great location and well planned out for a holiday let.

We had a great time.

The bungalow is in a good location convenient for the beach and the shops .

It is clean and well equipped . The owner’s respond quickly if there are any problems . A few niggles - the microwave is awkward to operate up on a shelf . The bungalow operating manual needs a new folder ( pages fall out as you turn them ) . Operating instructions for the tv need updating .

Cartref was a fabulous and very modern and up to date accommodation.

The owners have gone out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible as well as supplying a much appreciated welcome pack. It was also fairly close to amenities and a short walk to the beach. 10 out of 10 for the effort they put in.

Every thing about the property was was first rate in a great location , near to the beach with fantastic sea views.

Hope to return in the future.Thank you to Scott & Paul for the welcome pack which exceeded expectations& also toiletries etc should you have not taken your own . Really made to feel welcome as guests.

Cleanliness was the best part.

I'd say everything was 99% perfect, location great, garage extra bonus to out beach things in. Nothing negative to comment on. The only thing you could improve on is provide fairy liquid for dishes and hand-wash in the en-suite. Also kitchen roll and a couple more toilet rolls would have been good, and maybe a small pack of children's plates and bowls. Apart from that everything was really nice thank you.

Our second time staying at Cartref beautiful property and immaculately clean.

Excellent location a short walk from the beach with sea views from lounge and front bedroom. Highly recommended.

Perfect holiday home in an ideal location just a few mins walk to the beach.

Ground floor only so really well suited for us having a baby and toddler. Providing the highchair and kids crockery was really appreciated as were the welcome treats. Spotlessly clean and everything we needed was provided. Already looking to re-book for our next holiday in Anglesey.

Excellent property in an ideal location.

Great host, great place and location.

Had a problem with the shower and Paul came around within 10 minutes which was amazing. We will be back again and if Paul could arrange for the weather to be sunny again all week then that would be super. We mised the bins so if that was put in the info pack then we would have gladly put them out so sorry for that.

Such a fab holiday home.

Was very equipped and immaculately clean. Lovely and warm property. Welcome hamper was enjoyed by both the adults and kids!

A quality property in a good location.

Beautiful location and well kitted out.

The property was easy to find, the communication was excellent from the owners and the cleanliness was excellent. We felt at home straight away! It’s a shame the weather was poor, but it is January so to be expected. The property is a few steps away from the coastal path which was perfect for walking without needing to get the car out. Loved the whole week and shame to come home

The property was wonderful, facilities exceptional!

kitchen facilities especially. We love cooking and eating as a family so the utensils and pots and pans etc were super. The utility room was excellent and the ease of sorting the waste as required in Wales was made super easy. The views from the bungalow wonderful when either in the lounge or at the dining table, beautiful. The maintenance log is a very good idea for those things that suddenly crop up as a way of letting the owners know., to be fixed before the next visitors arrive. The one thing that we were slightly disappointed with was the absence of Netflix on the lounge television as it was advertised on the property particulars. We did contact you to enquire. We don’t watch much television and would have liked to all settle down to a good film in the evening. We had an absolutely super time thank you and thanks for arranging such splendid weather at this time of year!!

Excellent property.

Presented in all areas to a very high standard. Real home from home feel. Only issue we had was walking distance to restaurants. Further than we thought We are however 79 and 81. I drove to the Indian restaurant in the Square one night and we had a taxi to Pebbles Bistro another. Both are very good. A most enjoyable holiday. Would certainly recommend Pauline

An excellent property with good facilities

We loved staying in this cottage.

It is done to such a high standard. Loved the welcome package - probably the best one we have ever received. Great facilities, lots of space in the garage. The bedding felt hotel quality as well as the little toiletries in each bathroom and laundry bags in each room. The washing machine and drier were amazing to have especially for a family of 5. Kitchen so well stocked and the Nespresso machine was probably what won us over

Very complicated waste disposal

Lovely property.

Very clean and well presented. We loved the view from the front window of the sea. The garden was great to sit in once the sun finally came out towards the end of our stay. The welcome treats were very much appreciated. Despite our children being older they loved the buckets and spades for the beach and having beach towels available was also great. Thank you Scott and Paul we will hopefully return.

Lovely property with everything you need for a lovely stay so many little touches and extras.

Lots of space would highly recommend.

Perfect accommodation finished to a high standard with everything you could possibly need for a home away from home.

Lovely welcome pack very much appreciated. Excellent location for a nice stroll to the beach and within walking distance to local pubs and shops so long as you can do hills. Not a problem for us. Best place we have every stayed in benllech loved it

Cartref still merits the five stars it always receives !

It's been such a pleasure to return there. We've again enjoyed the spotless, comfortable and spacious accommodation in its quiet and convenient location with such lovely views.

By far the best accommodation we have had, can’t really think of anything that could improve it.

Had a great time. Thank you

We really enjoyed our stay at Cartref, though the weather was cold the house was lovely and warm.

It has everything, and it is well laid out with easy instructions for all applicances etc. We were able to simply get on with enjoying our holiday. It seems like it has been recently refurbished as everything was new and modern. The owners were very helpful and could be contacted easily.

Excellent accomodation in great location.

Couldn't fault the house at all, just wish we could have stayed longer. Welcome pack was a lovely touch too.

What a wonderful half-term holiday!

We are very fond of Anglesey but this was our first trip to Benllech. Cartref gave us great views of the ever-changing skies over the sea and was very handy for getting down to the beach. The house was incredibly well equipped with plenty pots, board games and TVs, so we enjoyed staying in on the rainy days. Everyone was thrilled with the luxurious decor and standard of cleanliness throughout the property, making it feel like a really special holiday. Many thanks to the owners who clearly work very hard to provide a high quality holiday home and a wonderful experience. We'd love to stay with you again!

This was a return visit for us and the wow factor was definitely still there.

This property is immaculately presented with every need catered for. The attention to detail is the best we've experienced with Paul and Scott making sure your holiday is trouble free. They go to a lot of trouble to make sure your arrival is perfect too, with a fabulous welcome pack full of local produce, fresh flowers and wine. We cannot fault this property and will definitely return in the near future.

By far one of the best accommodations we’ve ever had.

Facilities, cleanliness, attention to detail second to non and only five minutes from the beach with fantastic views. The welcome pack was much appreciated and was enjoyed by all. We will definitely return.

This is a fabulous bungalow, very comfortable and with everything you could possibly want.

We can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow!

What a beautiful cottage. Paul and Scott have spared no expense in making this the perfect holiday home. It is immaculate. Furnishings and equipment of the highest standard. Warm and cosy( the weather during our stay was dreadful) . Great position close to beach . Lovely sea views. Local eateries very good. Co-op well stocked and only a short distance away. Thank you Paul and Scott. Hope to see you again soon.

"Totally worth the 5 star reviews !

" Absolutely beautiful property. Fabulously comfortable. Great location; quiet with nice views. Thoughtful and delicious welcome pack. Great tech, all very intuitive to use. We found the home superbly-designed and comfortable; a tranquil luxury with a great eye for detail and all in an amazing location ! It was lovely to meet you and be able to thank you in person. We look forward to our next visit and are happy to recommend you most highly.

Excellent holiday home, beautifully maintained and exceptionally clean.

Worthy of having 5 stars. Lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Close to the beach, coastal path and town with good restasurants and cafes. When the tide is out it is possible to walk along the beach to Red Whard Bay.

Cartref is a wonderful holiday home.

Extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The owners have thought of every detail. Close to the beautiful beach with sea and rural views.

Beautiful spotlessly clean bungalow, only minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes to shops cafes, bars etc .

Amazing welcome pack with wine crackers biscuits, milk butter tea coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely walk along Benlech beach to red wharf bay . Only one thing that could have made the stay even better, would be a gate at the side of the house, as we stayed with a 2 year old and needed to be in the garden at all times with her , but this did not distract from a wonderful stay

Fabulous bungalow, well appointed and equipped.

Close to village, beach and coastal walks. Loved the welcome pack - great touch.

What an absolutely first class property!

We enjoyed every single moment of our stay and had everything we could have asked for. It was our first holiday together with Grandchildren and their parents, and it couldn't have been better. The double beds were a little smaller than we are used to, but that's just nitpicking, our 8 year old Granddaughter couldn't believe she had her own beautiful room, expecting to share with her 6 year old brother, Ha Ha! And he was delighted to be sharing with his Mum and our son. The location is just perfect, and as the weather behaved mostly, we were able to pop to the gorgeous beach, 5 minutes walk away, once any clouds parted for the sunshine, or indeed pop back 'home' again in a jiffy if the weather changed, brilliant! Off road parking for two cars was just ideal for us as well as we travelled separately, and it was obvious that parking near to the beach is limited other than the Pay and Display car parks. Bonus! Sorry we didn't have time to leave a review in the Comments book at Cartref though, we were too busy having fun. Many thanks to the owners and their team for providing us with the most perfect and memorable bungalow to spend our first full holiday together as a family. The memories made are simply priceless.

Cartref was everthing that we had expected and more besides!

.As equipment goes there was nothing else that we needed and we felt that Scott and Paul had put much thought into the matching decor and everthing else' It was absolutely spotless when we arrived, and like to think it was the same when we left on Saturday. We did have some rain, and had the veranda outside the kitchen had a roof covering to add the heater provided,we would have been able to use it more. Just a small point.!!.

Cartref was outstanding, the best holiday rental we have ever had, will definitely return.

Cartref is a lovely house in perfect condition, and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived.

It is really well equipped, and the provision of beach towels as well as house towels was a real bonus as it saved space in our car. The owners contacted us in advance to let us have extra information, and they were friendly and helpful in all their communication with us.

We (2 adults 2 x children and a 10 month old baby) had an amazing time at this property (we even got great weather!

!) . We were there for a week and we have nothing but praise for this rental. The location was perfect to enable us to walk down to the beach in 5 minutes. The house was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and facilities. The owners obviously listen to reviews given and care about the people staying here as was nothing that wasnt provided to ensure that we didnt want for anything. I have stayed in rented properties on numerous occasions previously and i can honestly say this is the best property i have been to. Thankyou so much. I would definitely return.

We have just spent 2 weeks at Cartref and have visited Anglesey many time and can honestly say this has been the best property we have stayed in .

Everything was of a high standard and on arrival there was the best host gift we’ve ever had,Wine ,milk, cakes ,bread ,and more. All the appliances were brand new,and lots of kitchen equipment .Please visit this lovely home you will not be disappointed 100%.

Excellent.

Very well presented, comfortable and well equipped property.

we could not fault anything about cartref, it was by far the best holiday home we have ever stayed in.

a return visit is a definite thing.

This is one of the best holiday properties we have ever stayed in.

It is superbly fitted out and extremely comfortable. The location is very good with sea views, shops and eateries within walking distance. The one small problem we had with a difficult closing window was dealt with immediately. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the welcome pack was just that and had been thoughtfully out. We couldn’t fault anything except the rather wet and windy weather.

The property is lovely, very well decorated and highly maintained.

The welcome pack is a lovely gesture it makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in there. What is nice is that the owners of the property e mailed before we went and gave me all the information that we needed. We would highly recommend anyone wishing to visit Benllech to stay here. The beach is just down the road and it is lovely. Thank you Diane and Tony Corfield

An immaculate property in a perfect location.
