The Chalet

I can honestly say The Chalet was a great find at short notice.

As a solo traveler, it ticked all the boxes for me, the need was extremely comfortable. Amanda, the owner was very nice and gave me some tips on what to see in the area. Location was perfect for the beach, its literally a 10 minute walk down the road which has some lovely walks around the coast, especially to Red Wharf Bay. The property has a nice garden area at the back which I tried to use but struggled sitting on the furniture with my longer legs. Overall, it was clean/tidy with all the facilities you need on a short break. I fully recommend. Thanks

Very clean and bright property.

Good off-road parking. Bedroom lovely and bed very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely Bathroom though shower not easy to regulate the hot and cold. Couch ok though not as comfortable as hoped. Garden very pretty with good outdoor seating area. Summer house pleasant but could do with updating. Over all very happy.

I purchased the holiday for a gift for my Daughter and her husband and their 8th month old baby .

Feedback from my daughter could not have been better from the moment she arrived till leaving she adored the property and the owner who could not have done more to welcome them. My Daughter would like me to Thank the owner . As a final note my Daughter recommended I should book the accommodation for my wife and I which showed how impressed she was with accommodation.

Really lovely, comfortable, spacious and well-equipped ground floor apartment.

Nicely finished and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had everything we could need. Really nice outdoor space, too. It's in a great location - just a few minutes walk down to the beach, or a few minutes more to the Co-Op (there's also a Spar and Tesco Express). The host was friendly and helpful. It was a great base for exploring Anglesey. We hope to be back soon!

It's a lovely comfortable place fully equipped with a luxurious feel.

Amanda is a fantastic host. We wish we could have stayed longer. The holiday home could not be better positioned being so close to the beach and main road and yet on a very quiet estate. We would love to experience Anglesey again at a warmer time of year.

Good value for money in the perfect location with off road parking and long golden sandy beach at the end of the road.

Well equipped spacious accommodation, piping hot water on tap and the heating warms the place quickly.

Cottage was lovely, spacious, clean, comfy bed and in a fantastic location.

Large outside space with summerhouse, good outdoor furniture. Owner friendly and helpful. We loved Anglesey. The only downside was the cold feel and smell of damp every time we walked in despite leaving all windows on latch and it being 24 degrees outside. The overpowering plug in air fresheners everywhere and moisture catching boxes behind furniture was a clue this has been an ongoing problem. It needs addressing properly as it's not going to just go away. Also the outside area needs a good tidy up. Note to Sykes cottages. When was the property last visited and assessed? Always had a 5 star experience with you up to now.

Excellent location near to the beach and convenient for local sightseeing.

Property clean and modern. Lovely kitchen and dining area. Great car parking space. Negatives: bed mattress springs were lower on one side causing me back pain; owners dog (which we weren't made aware of beforehand) could be heard running about upstairs in the owners house above us and the dog also came into our garden area. Luckily we like dogs but some people may not be happy about it. Apart from that we enjoyed a lovely holiday.

When we arrived at The Chalet, there wax a warm and personal welcom by the owner Amanda, she also wished us a pleasant journey home on our last morning.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay, lots of room for two people, well equipped and a beautiful garden to enjoy.

This property is delightful with a beautiful garden.

Very spacious, clean and cosy. Located within easy reach of places on Angelsey notably South Stack Lighthouse where we saw puffins. 10 minutes walk to the lovely beach in Benllech. Amanda, the owner was very friendly and knowleageable about the area and pointed us in the right direction to get the most out of our stay. It would have been helpful to have information about local amenities in Benllech but a lovely week in The Chalet.

We had a lovely relaxing week at the Chalet , everything was there for us .

Very comfortable accommodation , the weather for June was very changeable so we weren’t able to enjoy the lovely garden . It was a great base for exploring the island one we would like to come back to .

A stroll from the beach and great pubs. The Owner checked on us to ensure everything was to our liking. A great touch was the bottle of Prosecco. We will definitely return...

We were very happy with our stay at The Chalet.

The owner was to hand when we arrived and was very helpful, assisting us with our bags and belongings, giving us a guided tour and general information about the area and shops etc. The Chalet was well equipped with kitchen utensils, a large bathroom with shower and bath, a good-sized bedroom with comfortable, king-sized bed and comfortable seating in the main area. We would seriously consider return in the future.

It was a lovely property, very clean, comfortable and the host made everything really easy for us.

This property is very well appointed with everything you need for a break away.

It is also in an excellent location with the beach only being a few mins walk away. The only negative is that the property description does not indicate that it's actually a ground floor apartment with the owner and her dog living upstairs. On a couple of occasions we heard the dog barking and clearly running about which was not what we wanted to hear whilst trying to have a relaxing break. Had we have known this was how the property was set up, then we definitely would not have booked this accomodation. In addition to this, we noticed a quite unpleasant smell in the bedroom. We could not work out where it was coming from or what it was but wondered if it was related to issues with damp. However, you cannot fault the location of the property, with a beautiful beach only steps away and pubs and local amenities close-by, it is excellent. If you are not bothered about the property actually being a gf apartment rather than a self contained property, then this is excellent value for money.

Wonderful holiday let, well appointed and clean.

The garden was a treat and a sun trap in the afternoons. Close to the beach and local shops and pubs. Kitchen is well equipped and the seating is comfortable. A lot of thought and dare has gone into The Chalet and it was a pleasure to stay there. Highly recommended.

Wi-Fi was iffy not much of a signal I bet if we knew next doors password we could had a stronger signal other than that it was a lovely place to stay near to the beach & shops Tv in the bedroom only 2 strong channels BBC1 and 2 that was all

The Chalet was lovely very spacious.

Washing up liquid. Tea towels bath and hand towels and hand wash was supplied. In a great spot with sea views. Just a short walk to the beach. Lovely costal walks. Amanda. Is a lovely person very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. She put a bottle of prosecco out with two flutes to welcome our stay. Which made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay a relaxing few days away.

The Chalet was perfect in every way.

Spacious kitchen/dining & living room along with a well furnished bedroom & bathroom. Spotlessly clean inside & furnished to a high standard. Samantha made us feel welcome & the bottle of wine she provided on arrival was a welcome surprise after our long journey. Great location to explore a beautiful island.. Highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay here over the New Year. Amanda was welcoming and had provided a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us. The Chalet was perfect, spacious and had everything we needed. Perfect base to explore Anglesey. Beautiful property, well looked after and not lacking in anything. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic stay.

We love self catering and the Chalet was perfect for us.A lovely touch was the bottle of Prosecco as a welcome. Everything you need is here from tin foil, washing up liquid, batteries and there was even a sewing box in the bedside table. Clean and tidy. Loved the gardens. The beach 5 minutes walk down the hill. Pubs, restaurants and amenities close by. It’s a great base for exploring Anglesey and other places. Amanda was the perfect host. She directed us around the annex and explained how all the appliances worked. Recommend places to eat and visit during our stay. This is the place we would definitely return to stay again.

Had a delightful week at the ‘Chalet’ every thing we needed was there for a very relaxing holiday.

Amanda made us feel very welcome, and the bonus was the wonderful garden , so very private. The Taven on the Bay was fantastic for a great meal with a marvellous sea view. Ann and Rick.

Nice place to stay.

I think the setting is perfect for a couple on a beach holiday. On a positive side - The cottage is quite spacious - If it was warmer I would have enjoyed making a barbie outside. Maybe next time Some things that you may want to consider to improve you customers experience - The mattress is wearing. I found that sleeping on it was a bit like sleeping on a slope - The kitchen facilities could be expanded a bit. I like cooking at home when I stay in cottages. I really missed some microwavable pyrex type dishes. I also missed beer glasses. - Most guest houses I stay in have some complimentary tea & a jar of coffee. I really missed this here - In most guest houses, there is never enough space to put stuff. For example, a shelf or stand in the bathroom to put a bag on would really help. Also, maybe consider putting up a few hooks to hand towels on. - I found the sounds coming through the ceiling of of people walking and talking a bit annoying. Especially at about 02h30 on the Friday morning All in all, a nice stay. Unfortunately the steps from the lounge to the kitchen did not work for my wife being on crutches, but that's just us. Once she has had the operation we will gladly come back

The Chalet was a wonderful place to stay on Anglesey, it was perfect for the two of us.

It was close the beach, walking distance & to local shops. Immaculately clean, spacious & everything you need for your stay.

The Chalet had a great open plan living space and was a short (but quite steep) walk from the beach.

The owner lives above the property and was very helpful when we had to return home briefly at short notice

Thank you so much to the property owners, we really enjoyed our stay at The Chalet, it was warm, cosy and comfortable and more enjoyable than ever as the weather was not very kind to us last week, so we were probably in more often than we would normally have been.

It was not a problem though as we had all the amenities we needed for a very enjoyable break.

EXCELLENT The Chalet is a very comfortable, clean, spacious, well equipped holiday home.

We were greeted by Amanda the owner who was friendly and helpfull and we felt at home straight away. It is in a fantastic quiet location, and just a short stroll to a wonderful large beach with superb walk to Red Wharf Bay. It was easy to drive round the island to discover the many beaches and villages. To sit in the amazing garden on an evening with the sun shining was the icing on the cake. We will certainly return and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Amanda.

Very welcoming and friendly

The heating didn’t work the whole week we were there.

The owner came a few times to sort it out but was unable to so it was quite uncomfortably cold in the property so we left on the Wednesday night.

The Chalet is a lovely property.

It is very spacious and comfortable, even larger than the photos show. It was very clean and tidy and equipped with everything that you could need. It has a beautiful garden with a summerhouse at the bottom of the garden and a little covered seating area near to the house too. Our weather was not brilliant so we didn’t really take full advantage of this. The position of the property was great, down the bottom of the road there are steps to the beachfront and it is just a short walk to the supermarket, cafes, takeaways and a couple of bistros. If planning to eat locally it is a good idea to book well in advance. We tried Pebbles for Sunday lunch, excellent and Beachcomber for tapas, Tavern on the bay through the caravan park near Red Wharf Bay, great food and lovely views. Further afield Dylan’s in Menai Bridge is a great night out. For fish & chips we took the owner’s advice the Golden Fry which was superb. We would definitely recommend the Chalet.

Especially enjoyed access to the private outside area and summer house to enjoy the last of the sun after a day exploring. Highly recommend.

Property was as described if not bigger & better than description.Great location 5 minute walk to beach . Clean,with all you need for your stay. Met on arrival by the owner who was available if we needed. Benllech has all you need with enough shops,pub's & takeaways if you don't want to travel.But is also a great base if you want enjoy more of Anglesey Thoroughly recommended.

Also the owner was on hand to answer any questions at the same she has made the accommodation so that you have complete privacy. We had a really lovely holiday at the Chalet.

There is a lovely garden and seating area at the rear of the property which felt very private and is well maintained. The owner was very welcoming on our arrival to the property. She was very helpful in explaining the appliances in the apartment and points of interest around the resort and continued to be available for advice/help throughout the week. The whole area was quiet and relaxing and we are looking forward to staying here again soon.
