“Thanks for a lovely stay on Anglesey.”

The location is great. Modern three story townhouse on end of about 6 adjoining properties. Dog safe secure back yard with astroturf green which was great. The quality of everything from furniture, linen, crockery, cleaning facilities, white goods, induction hob etc was excellent. It was lovely that all sinks had hand wash and that washing up liquid, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets etc were all provided. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. We would have preferred if it was a bit hotter as max setting was 38C but often around 37-37.5 due to use. We tried changing setting to 40 which the brand allows for but ? Because connected to a heat pump couldn’t get it hotter (might be our lack of ability!) We would definitely recommend this as an excellent property for families. It was very comfortable and well maintained. The neighbours were lovely and really friendly (thanks Dave and family opposite) the location allows an easy walk to lots of facilities including coop/ tescos express, pub, restaurants, pet supplies, excellent butcher. The information on local beaches and contents of the things to do folder was really helpful. The dog friendly Lligwy beach was fantastic for our energetic, slightly crazy cocker spaniel especially when the tide was out in the mid afternoon and 10 Mins away. Thanks once again Barbara and Andy for a lovely holiday and for your thoughtfulness in trying to provide as much as possible for your guests, it was much appreciated. If you are browsing (as I was), it deserves the outstanding feedback and 5 star rating and is a safe bet for a lovely holiday. We would gladly return! Every Blessing

The property

Situated in the heart of the village of Benllech on the isle of Anglesey and boasting superb views of Benllech's Blue Flag-awarded beach, as well as Red Wharf Bay, Llandudno and the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains is The Sandy Bee, a newly-built, contemporary-style, three-storey property, ideal for a family or group of six guests wanting to explore their incredible surroundings, with the coast and attractions of Anglesey within easy reach.

Pull up to the property, which boasts off-road parking on the driveway for up to three cars, and you will find the sheltered hot tub, where you can add a touch of luxury to the end of each day of your stay, just to the side of the property.

Head through the front door of this well-proportioned property, which offers a bedroom and bathroom on each of its three floors, meaning you can enjoy quality time as a group but also have a moment to yourself or with your loved one.

Head into the contemporary and neutrally-styled kitchen/diner, with sleek white units, a combi oven and grill and a host of appliances you can use to create delicious home cooked meals to enjoy at the large dining table, beside the wall-mounted TV, if you want to enjoy a more casual dining experience.

The patio door opens onto the enclosed garden, where you can choose to dine alfresco in the summer on the patio, before moving to the sofa area to relax with a glass of wine, while children and four-legged friends can play safely on the lawn.

The ground floor also houses the first of three bedrooms; a spacious and immaculate double bedroom with soft carpet and ample storage, with access to the neutral shower room, decorated with a subtle beach theme, making it ideal for any guest who have mobility issues.

Head to the first floor to find the inviting sitting room, boasting incredible sea and mountain views from its dual Juliet balconies.

Here you can relax on one of the tasteful sofas or armchair with a good book or your favourite shows on the TV, enjoying a quiet night in.

There is a twin bedroom, continuing the subtle beach theme, with charming bunting above the beds, ideal for children, with access to the family bathroom suite, which offers a bath with shower over.

The second-floor boasts the generously-sized master bedroom, complete with a king-size bed, lovely wooden furniture, a seating area beside a wonderful picture window so you can enjoy the best of the views, as well as a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room where you can prepare for each day.

Benllech village centre is a short walk away, where you will discover a selection of shops for any essentials, along with pubs serving food, bars and restaurants, if you feel like a night off from cooking.

Benllech's Blue Flag-awarded beach is also within easy reach, offering a long stretch of soft golden sand, making it popular with families, lined by a selection of cafés and a nearby picnic spot, so you can enjoy lunch with a view.

From here you can access the Anglesey Coastal Path and make your way towards the pristine beaches and rocky coves at Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, passing attractions like the butterfly palace of Pili Palas Nature World, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Plas Newydd House & Gardens.

Nearby Moelfre village is where you will find the RNLI Lifeboat Station, historical landmarks of The Lligwy Cromlech, Capel Lligwy and the ruins of Din Lligwy, as well as incredible views of Ynys Moelfre.

The popular Red Wharf Bay is a short distance away, famed for its glorious sunsets, and miles of long sand at low tide you can explore on a scenic stroll, and look out for an array of birdlife known to visit the area, including purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin.

Head to Beaumaris to explore its impressive 13th century castle and Victorian Gaol, and cross the Menai Suspension Bridge towards the mainland where you will find the bustling university town of Bangor, as well as a plethora of walking, hiking and cycling opportunities through the picturesque rugged landscape of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.

The Sandy Bee is a stunning base for your next family getaway to Anglesey.
