We had a very enjoyable week in Benllech.

The accommodation was in a quiet cul-de-sac and was extremely comfortable. We were welcomed with wine, teas, coffee and Welsh cakes, and our dog had his own welcome treats from the local pet shop. The property was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need for the cooking we wanted to do over the week and our children were very happy to see the Wii and X-Box! We were able to visit the beach everyday, which was a 10-15 minute walk down a hill from the property. Our dog loved swimming in the sea everyday and we'd come prepared with a portable shower for him but needn't have worried about this as there was an outside hose with different settings for this purpose. Lovely well equipped property in great location.

Close to amenities. Beds comfortable. Great garden furniture. Had our grandson with us who wanted to Xbox and Wii but neither seemed to work. Otherwise a very enjoyable lweek and would recommend to others.

The accommodation was good, modern and clean.

The house is well situated - lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a fantastic sandy beach in near walking distance. The washing machine was not easy to operate, but we eventually managed it! The car parking at the front of the property is only big enough for one modern car. Our other car had to parked on the road and then the neighbours complained!

Lovely home from home bungalow,everything you need and more .

It was like a “Home from home” experience.

Absolutely fantastic property in a great location. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for our two small pooches. I’d certainly recommend without any reservation whatsoever. Can’t get better than that

Lovely sized bugalow.

With most things you could want for on a holiday away from your own home. Im unable to go upstairs as I have a spinal complaint & need a stair lift to do so. My husband & I only used the downstairs bedroom. It was a great size & had plenty of storage room. Sadly however im only very short too. The bed was rather too high for me to get on & off with out encountering a lot of pain. I ended up sleeping on the sofa in the living room. The bungalow has very well kept pretty gardens with a table & chairs to sit in the garden. In spite of my problems with the bed & the stsis we enjoyed a lovely week at Ty Gilbert Benllech Angelsey.

This was our first stay we found the bungalow had everything we needed so well equipped also our 2 dogs loved the enclosed garden and the garage was great for storing my husband’s mobility scooter the weather was cold however the heating kept us nice and warm ,thank you for the lovely treats we all had a great time

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, well cared for property in a fabulous location.

Being so close to the beach and local amenities made everything really easy, and the house had absolutely everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. It’s tucked away in a quiet cul de sac with friendly neighbours, which made it feel calm and homely from the moment we arrived. The owner has thought of every little detail. We were so touched by the welcome treats – wine, milk, Welsh cakes, and dog treats! Tea and coffee were also provided, which was a lovely bonus and made us feel instantly welcome. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. The house itself is spacious, extremely well equipped, and very comfortable. Everything you could need has been thoughtfully provided. The location is perfect too, with beaches, shops and pubs close by, and it’s an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. We’ll definitely be booking again when we return to beautiful Benllech.

A lovely property with all the facilities you would expect and more.

I've not seen so much crockery in one kitchen! The only issue was that the range cooker while still very useful had some issues with the ovens. But we coped. The house is set in a quiet cul de sac which is in close walking distance to the shops and hostelries and not much further to the beach (although this is down a steep hill!). We would definitely visit again.

Property location within all amenities of village, property has been well thought out regarding items and utensils in kitchen, comfortable and warm.

although due to time of year outside area wasn't used it has a seating area and garden to spend time in.

This was our 2nd stay at this property and we always feel like it's nice and homely.

... it's always clean and tidy, plenty of crockery, cuttelry, cooking pots, pans, dishes and utensils....the property is in a great location for the beach, pub and shops, takeaways, fish and chip shop, really everything you need and more....we msged the owner, Jan direct with a query and she was so accommodating, we were so pleased with everything, we had a really great Christmas...FABULOUS!!!!!

Lovely property, right in the center of Benllech.

Walking distance to the beach and all local amenities. The place has everything you could need and is probably the most well stocked cottage I've stayed in. From the double oven, air fryer, dishwasher or washing machine, to the lovely large shower upstairs, everything was great. I'd certainly return.

We had a really lovely week at Ty Gilbert.

It is a beautiful and clean, tidy house in a great location. Close to the beach and amenities. We had absolutely everything we needed. Thank you very much to the owner who very kindly left wine, milk, Welsh cakes, dog treats, there was also a basket of dog toys. Plenty of tea and coffee also provided. We didn’t want to leave!

Our first visit to Anglesey.

What a beautiful home to explore from. Very cosy and comfortable. Really felt like a home from home. Spotlessly clean and had the best equipped kitchen I’ve ever seen! We’ll definitely be back.

Everything you could want on hand in the kitchen.

Warm house never felt cold and excellent amenities. Close to shops and beach. Definitely would use again, it will be our third visit. Dog friendly.

We had a great time at Ty Gilbert it was a return trip from last year.

There was everything you need and more for a great stay. There were some lovely welcome gifts for both the humans and dogs which were greatly appreciated. I was tempted to try and get the mattress from the downstairs bed in my boot it was so comfy. The facilities for the dogs was perfect there were toys available which was good as we forgot theirs at home. There were books, games and dvds which were available for us to use as well as wifi. It was very clean throughout and in the kitchen could smell the lovely floor cleaner smell. The kettle could do with replacing it kept turning off when the water was still cold and the sofas could do with replacing a couple of the seats on the sofa and chair sink and are quite springy but was enough seats for all of us to sit comfortably. We would definitely be going back next year but the only availability is when we are in Spain so looking for a 2027 return. We love the area with the close by beaches and the house is so lovely and situated in a great place to be able to visit many places in just a short drive away and has a fantastic pub a 5 minute walk away. Our favourite day out this year was when we took a drive to Betws y Coed lovely place would definitely recommend lots to see and do with amazing views on the drive there. Thank you for an amazing stay we did not want to leave and we hope to be able to visit again in the future.

Ty Gilbert is a very nice cottage, very comfortable almost home from home, very clean except the lounge carpet was very stained.

It would have been nice to have more hand towels. The bathroom upstairs was cold, the towel rail never came on. The heating was difficult to understand. Sunrise from the upstairs double room was amazing. Would go back.

What lovely accommodation.

Everything you need for a perfect break away. Extremely well equipped large kitchen, comfy bed, spacious lounge and 2 well appointed bathrooms. Would definitely stay again if back in Anglesey.

This property is excellent, very spacious everything you would ever need for a holiday very well equipped the owner has thought of everything Also the property is in an ideal location close to beach, shops, pubs and for traveling around Anglesey and North Wales.

I would recommend this property to anyone.

We were already familiar with Benllech but this property has the advantage of being close enough to the beach and local facilities but also far enough away to have privacy and quiet.

We tend to self cater rather than eat out and Ty Gilbert had every appliance or facility we required for a comfortable stay.It felt more like borrowing a friend's house rather than staying in a holiday business.Our dogs loved it too and the welcome treats and we would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to others

We needed nothing, it was all there. On arrival there was a bottle of wine in the fridge and a little bag of goodies for the dog, such a thoughtful touch. It is a great property well maintained, clean and surprisingly spacious. Enclosed garden is ideal for the dog and if you have little ones. Location is ideal to explore the island and North Wales as well as being close the lovely beach. There are many places to eat, drink and relax very close by. It was a great week away for us, thank you.

A lovely bungalow in a good position off the main road through Benllech.

Really well equipped there is everything you could possibly need. Tesco Express a short walk away is a bonus. We had an amazing holiday, helped by the stunning spring weather. Our party of four all agreed we'd had our best sleep for a long time in the extremely comfortable beds. Highly recommend Ty Gilbert.

Very happy with the property apart from the low fence/gate to the side.

Ours didn't bother trying to jump it but plenty would. The only very slight complaint is the sofas could be more comfortable but it's not a deal breaker. Extremely comfortable bed, every possible thing you could need is there and in good condition. The neighbours were great, very friendly, as were the people we met around and about Benllech, especially in the Benllech pub. The beaches are great although Benllech's was pretty busy so we went to Pentraech beach a couple of miles away. This at low tide has acres of space and far fewer people and our dogs loved it. All in all a brilliant stay for us and we loved Anglesey and Benllech and will go back - even to the same property.

Ty Gilbert is an excellent holiday property.

Great location, ideal walking distance to all local shops, restaurants, takeaways and beach. Would recommend "The Shed" on the main street. A very well equipped home from home feel. Extremely dog friendly, everything had been thought through perfectly. Clean and spacious for the four of us. Totally appreciated the welcome treats for us and our dog. A lovely touch. All staples provided, so you can make a cuppa as soon as you get in through the door. If I had to criticise anything it would be the heating is difficult to get right with the UK's fluctuating temperatures. Also I would get the housekeeper to check crockery and cutlery had been put back clean as a number of cups and spoons were very stained, but can soon be sorted. We have stayed in a lot of properties in Anglesey over the years and this one certainly is up there with one of the best. We will definitely book again.

Third time in Benllech and this house is by far the best we have stayed in, location is good and the house is excellent, nice welcome pack left for us and the owner has thought of everything you would need for a week away.

Kitchen essentials all provided plus things you probably wouldn’t expect, Beds comfortable, 2 bathrooms a plus, living room was a nice space but maybe the seating was a little uncomfortable. Not a problem though , overall brilliant holiday and glad we have booked to return here next year

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the property was roomy, comfortable and very well equipped and was in an ideal location.

The heating system was unfamiliar with us but once we worked it out things improved, the fire in the lounge was very efficient. Greatly appreciated the welcome pack.

.it was Home from Home.. The owner did let us know that the bungalow next door was having building work done ..but we still had a lovely stay just needed some sunshine ..we have booked again for next year ..

Lovely house and area to stay in lots to do even if a short drive from the area.

House was lovely and clean upon arrival had everything you need on arrival. The only thing that was a slight problem was that the Lowe quadrant of the oven didn’t work and the door of the top quadrant didn’t stay but unless you held it, would definitely still go back to the same house and area again

Jan, the owner, very helpful.10 mins walk down to the lovely beach (20 mins back up!) Everything you need, pubs, cafes, shops (including an excellent butcher) gorgeous fish and chips at Finney's, etc. within 5 minutes walk.

Lovely property in a great position,

This is a really lovely place to stay especially having a garden to sit and relax after a long walk.

..the only thing I would say to do is put a fence up along the back wall so the property is more private and not overlooked, and maybe replace the table and chairs outside to match the nice ratan loungers, would finish the property off nicely,,but other than that it's a very comfortable place to stay and would definitely stay there again.

What can I say about this absolute little gem?

? We have just had the most wonderful stay at Ty Gilbert. Firstly, the location of this holiday home is superb. On a quiet cul de sac tucked back off the main street but in very easy walking distance (literally minutes) from the shops, takeaways, pubs and restaurants and just 10 mins down to the most superb long sandy beach. It meant we could park up and leave the car (unless we went further afield of course) The bungalow was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed to give us a comfy stay. The welcome gifts were very generous and very much appreciated (both by us and the dogs!) The beds were comfy, the shower was nice and the secure garden was perfect for the dogs. There were books, a Wii, games and a decent TV for wetter days (thankfully we didn't have any of those) There was nothing we didn't like about this place and we felt really at home there. The owners have really thought of everything to make sure that you have a lovely stay. We really can't recommend it enough!! Next time we come back to Benllech we just hope its available so we can stay again! Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at T Y Gilbert.

The location is perfect, in a quiet cul de sac, walking distance to the local amenities and restaurants. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, although uphill coming back!!. With regards to the bungalow it was spotless and had everything you could possibly need, with a secure back garden for the children and dogs. Very pleased with the accommodation.

Most importantly it was clean.

Plenty of room for our party of 4 and a dog. Everything you needed was there and in a good location. Liked the more modern interior, much better than the old fashioned properties we’ve stayed in before. Great garden for dog.

Lovely welcome gesture thank you of Welsh cakes, cava, doggy treats! Everything is thought about a home from home would highly recommend this property. Lovely garden which had been mowed before arrival great for our dog to roam around well secure. Was workmen renovating house few yards away daily so not as peaceful as we would have liked, maybe best to consider to make holiday makers aware to prevent complaints, were early wakers so this didn't impact that much and we went out most days to visit areas of Anglesey away from it Nevertheless this is great location, we ate at pebbles and rasoi restaurants in benllech great food & service. Beaches are beautiful we were lucky with the weather very sunny & warm. Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

This is a lovely bungalow in a quiet cul de sac, 3 minutes walk to shops and the pub!

10 minutes walk to the beach.The bungalow has a large kitchen with every facility in it, large comfortable living room, and three double bedrooms (one with two single beds). Two bathrooms. It’s extremely comfortable with a good sized garden at rear. I honestly don’t know what more you could ask for. It’s an excellent price, and if you are looking for a relaxing stay this one’s for you.

Really good location with plenty of shops, pubs and eateries.

Good size bungalow plenty of room and the garden is secure for the dogs. Lots of books, games, Wii, dvd player to keep everyone entertained. Only criticism is, there is bath downstairs it would be better with a shower tray. Not good for anyone that is unstable on their feet. (Mother in law) We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

All we can say it was excellent, so near the beach and plenty of shops in walking distance, we would recommend it for anyone with a family.

The beach is down the hill there is a carpark and public toilets there plus ice-cream/ coffee shops there . Thank you for the dog treats and the bottle very nice treats Can't fault the place at all And hopefully will be returning next year

Just back from our stay in this lovely bungalow which is set in a quiet cul-de-sac yet handy for all amenities.

The property is comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped with everything you will need and more and the garden is very dog friendly. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Jan who was lovely and friendly and made sure we had all we needed. Thanks Jan for the bottle of Cava and dog treats. We are hoping to come again next year.

The property is ideally located in a quiet cul de sac, a short distance from the beach and convenience stores. It is very well equipped and very clean. We look forward to another stay next year.

The Bungalow has everything you would want, tea, coffee, sugar.

Doggie treats, games and so much more. Great location only 10 mins to the beach but down a very steep hill. Very peaceful and relaxing would highly recommend. Not all the pots and pans where clean and some of the plates and bowls would suggest the cleaners look at these during cleaning process. I would re-book without hesitation

Cottage is very close to the beach, shops and pubs. I highly recommend this Cottage we have stayed here twice and have booked again.

We arrived on a Sunday.

The bungalow was cold and the ground floor bed felt damp. The bungalow had not been cleaned to a good standard and there weren’t clear instructions on how to increase the heating of electric radiators so we were cold for over 24 hours. Sykes never replied to my two emails however thanks to the owner and the owner of the cleaning company for addressing the issues so promptly

It’s a lovely quiet location but perfect in that it is 5 min walk to the beach . We will be back unfortunately you are booked for February halfterm next year we have already checked . Thankyou for a lovely stay , lovely home. Perfect location we all loved it .

A nice well set out bungalow in a very good location.

Car parking was a little awkward for 2 cars, had to maneuver 2nd car over a manhole cover and edging stones. Cleaner may have been having a bad day before we arrived, the hall table was thick in dust, but mostly the house was clean. Downstairs bedroom is rather smelly. Not sure if it is damp ( had that Tom cat smell) and the bed needs replacing. Other bedrooms were fine although I think it might be worth mentioning, in the property description, that the doorway to one of the upstairs bedrooms is very low. Personally I think it would have been better to put the single beds in here for children and put the double bed in the larger room. Dinning space for 6 people is a bit squashed, but the kitchen is well equipped. Garden area is good and secure for children and pets. Overall it is a nice property but in need of a little TLC.

Lovely holiday home extremely well equipped and clean.

Good position within the centre of Benllech three quarters of a mile to the beach. Garden private and enclosed good for young children. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Everything we could possibly need . We asked for a sun umbrella for the garden and the owner promptly ordered one for us .

We've had a lovely stay at Ty Gilbert. Very comfortable bungalow in a great location. Loved the decor and thank you for the treats . (We don't have a dog but we're going to give the dog treats to our neighbours dog as neighbour looked after our cats while we were away)

We have stayed at this bungalow 3 times and are going back in November.

We love it. Its in a fantastic position, only a 2 minute walk to local amenities and 10 minute walk to the beach.

The accommodation was very comfortable, home from home.

It was very well equipped and spacious. Ideal location for the beach and supermarkets. It was very handy having a washing machine as we had two young grandchildren with us. If possible a clothes maiden would be useful as we were unable to peg washing out when it was raining. The safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs were greatly appreciated. Thank you. We will definitely be booking again.

Lovely bungalow.

Very comfortable the bed downstairs was fabulous Dogs loved the toy box and the treats. The sunny back garden was a real bonus which was Very secure for our 2 dogs. We just had the most relaxing week possible. Very sad to leave

The cleanest place I have ever stayed. Very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything. Lovely location and near the beach. Very peaceful. We are disabled and it would have been helpful to have grab rails in the bath room. Also another large frying pan would be handy. We would definitely stay again.

Safe for our 2 dogs in the garden , which was a lovely sun trap too. Have stayed in Benllech a few times and this is the house we would definitely stay at again, close to shops , pub takeaway and the beach .

We have holidayed in Anglesey for the last 5 years staying at numerous properties around the island.

Ty Gilbert is by far the best property that we have stayed in. Finished to a very high standard, this property is modern and sleek and flows well. We stayed in the downstairs double, but took a peek upstairs and wow just as amazing. You can see a lot of thought and care has been taken with the property. Kitchen was superb and had every item you could need or require, even a slow cooker, which was amazing. Owner was good at communicating with us, and we will certainly return. The only sad point was, that whilst there we tried to book again, and see that it is booked solid most months. I am not surprised. I will keep checking, as we would love to return.

The only problem with the holiday cottage, the downstairs bed needs a new mattress, but other than that spot on.

The cleaners need to be a bit more thorough as well. Lovely house though.

I have never stayed in self catering accommodation before where I had to state the amount of people staying.

The fact that there was a camera set outside was extremely disturbing especially as we had two young girls with us. We felt as if we were being spied on the whole holiday. I wonder if your other clients know they are being watched.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ty Gilbert and are looking forward to staying again next year.

High spec of decoration, roomy, extremely clean and maintained to a very high standard. Very well equipped throughout. Good location 3 minutes from the beach, and one minute from shops and takeaways. Good safe garden for dogs. Property in a quiet location. Good location for visiting other parts of the Island.

A toy left for our dog, treats etc. Nice welcome starter with milk , prosecco, cake and fudge all make you feel welcome. Lovely bungalow, clean and comfortable in a great location in Benllech.

Comfortable bungalow in quiet cul-de-sac.

Helpful and friendly owner. Well equipped kitchen, there is a second fridge-freezer in the garage which meant we could order the week’s food delivery from Tesco. Very clean. On arrival we found welcome gifts for us and our dogs, which was a nice touch. The dogs were especially pleased with their sausage treats! Beach is 10 minute walk, and an extra 10 to the dog-friendly area (May to Sept). Had some good dinners out, however strongly recommend booking well ahead during peak holiday periods, most restaurants were fully booked days ahead. Great fish and chips from Golden Fry just round the corner, place order a couple of hours before otherwise the queue is long.

Great location, very clean and a real home from home.

Lots of little touches like coal for the bbq, wood for the fire pit, an extra fridge given more people eating at home and even a bottle of Prosecco. Would thoroughly recommend.

The area was great every thing you need shops, pubs and beach. Would go back again. All so Jan is very helpful if you have any problem. Had a lovely week.

This bungalow was very comfortable, a home from home.

It was very well equipped, the owner has thought of everything. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac but in walking distance to shops and the beach. I will definitely recommend Ty Gilbert to friends and family. Benllech has a lovely beach which our dogs loved ... even the weather was kind to us.

The Bungalow was well situated for all amenities.

It had everything you needed. Homely feel and some nice touches.

Very comfortable. All you could need. Good location for the beach. Within 5 minutes walk to shops and supermarkets. Ideal location to visit all that Anglesey has to offer. Dogs also welcome. They even have their own bed, bowls and toys. Enclosed back garden. Would recommend.
