Willoway

As a family we stayed for 4 nights this was too short a visit but 6 of us had travelled from New Zealand and a case of fitting everything in.

From zip wire on velocity to go carts castle visits beach cool off time allied to red squirrel view and loads of tourist sites finishing off with trip to Dublin to meet the Irish family we packed it all in Willoway was perfect for us being very comfortable clean and central for all our needs we would certainly come again and highly recommend the house

Fantastic property in an ideal location close to the beach and to a couple of convenience stores, chemist and butchers.

Local eateries nearby too. Everything you need is at the property. Would only suggest you take spare loo roll, bin bags, bit of tin foil and cling film.

Fantastic location, close to beach and amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at Willoway.

The house was large enough for the 9 of us but needed a good clean in all bathroom areas. The drains smelled and tiles were dirty. We couldn't use the snug as every day water came through the ceiling and from the brown tiles this had been happening for some time. The hall rug was a trip hazard curling at the corner, some of the ensuite lights didn't work, the extractor fans didn't work, towel rail only partially worked and the kitchen window wouldn't close. The outside entrance area was dirty with cobwebs and debris from the garden. The whole property needs cleaning and a maintenance refresh. The property is only 0.3 miles from the beach which is great but unfortunately this is a steep uphill climb from the beach which proved to be difficult for a toddler, pregnant mum and pensioner. We still enjoyed our holiday but for the money maybe expected better.

Willoway was such a lovely property to stay at.

It was so close to the beach and the view was stunning. It was well equipped and the owners had left us a few treats and some milk which were very much appreciated. We have stayed at a few places in Bennlech with our adult children and their partners and this was our favourite so far.

Lovely house in a good position a short walk from the beach though a steep hill coming back.

Convenient for local shops. The house is very spacious and plenty of room for a family of 9 including 3 children and a dog. Very well equipped. Providing coffee, tea, milk and some treats was a nice touch

What a lovely place, with great views and perfect location for the beach, shops and pubs.

Would like to go again but the price has shot up for the same time next year so not sure if we will be going back.

Upon arrival we had a basket of goodies and welcome note from the owners which was lovely, thank you so much. We would stay here again. We ate out in the Beachcomber, the staff and service were lovely and the meals were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommend.

The location of the property is fantastic, with beach, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

The property is also very well equipped. The weather was stormy during our stay so we appreciated the logs for the log burner. We even saw a red squirrel in the garden- an extra treat!

Fantastic cottage and location.

Well equipped, has everything you'll need and more. The Sauna was a massive bonus. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. Thanks again for letting us stay.

A clean, well-equipped, spacious beautifully located holiday home.

The beds were so comfortable and the house was warm. We had the best weekend relaxing, catching up with friends and even a dip the sea (it was chilly!)... probably a 3 minute walk to the beach. Our 2 dogs loved the beach & the coastal path walk. The garden had plenty of room for them to have a run around and the red squirrels spotted in the garden were a charming bonus. We would highly recommend this lovely house.

Lovely property plenty of room and ideal for our family get together.

Perfectly placed between shops and beach and for trips further afield to Beaumaris, Caernarfon etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meant to write something in the visitors' book but in our rush to leave forgot - our apologies to the owner! Thank you for a great stay!

We had a lovely weeks holiday in benllech.

The house and garden suited us all well. Thank you for the welcome pack and information booklets. We would return to the property again.

This is our 2nd stay at Willoway for a 3 generational family holiday.

The house and gardens allow plenty of space for all to enjoy their holiday, whether it was quiet solo time, small group or whole family games & meals. The facilities are very good and the proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants excellent. Highly recommended.

Willoway is a lovely house in a beautiful location, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday on Anglesey.

The property was exactly as described and suited the group - in Angelsey for cycling - perfectly.

It was clean, spacious, warm and comfortable, with hot water and all the things you would need for a weekend, or longer, stay. The snug provided a quiet room to sit in separate from the main TV in the lounge and would also make a great playroom for younger children to use. The beds and bedding were just right - a big master / ensuite downstairs and 4 other bedrooms upstairs sharing the main shower room - and an additional bathroom through the kitchen and by the snug. Ideal , location, albeit on an incline, in a quiet residential area, with beach 200yds one way and shops etc 200yds to central Benllech the other way.

Willoway was great for our multi family gathering and Benllech was a superb centre for our holiday.

We enjoyed our stay at Willoway the property is impressively large and worked well for our large family holiday with grandchildren We liked the little treats left by the owners and found the property well equipped in all areas There is easy access to the beach area and just a short walk to the local shops and amenities

It was a lovely property and was very well equipped.

It was in a great location with stunning views over Benllech beach. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negatives would be that the description said enclosed garden, but there was 3 access points to the garden with no gates including the front drive. This was a worry with 2 small children and dogs to worry about. On several occasions 1 of the dogs took chase after a hare, so we had to put them on leads to go in the garden. Also, on first arrival we pushed the twin beds together in the spare room and there was a lot of dust under the bed so I had to run the hover around. Apart from this we did have a lovely stay and we were overall very happy with the property.

A lovely spacious house, nicely decorated, and with views to the sea.

Only a few hundred yards to the beach. The garden is lovely. The only slight downside is that the kitchen forms a sort of corridor between the two wings of the house, which can be problematic when cooking is taking place and people are passing through the kitchen. Care needs to be taken to avoid accidents. Benllech beach is lovely, with cafes, toilets and a large car park. The town has plenty of shops and eating places. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Willoway.

We were welcomed with a generous gift basket and fresh milk left by the owners, which is a kind thought, and we're now hooked on Welsh cakes! Benllech is a pleasant village with local shops and small choice of pubs and restaurants. The location is perfect as a base from which to explore Anglesey and North Wales. We were fortunate enough to enjoy great weather, so made the most of the large garden with outdoor seating areas. This meant that there was plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids to spread out into the garden, main lounge and second lounge. We did find the galley kitchen a little awkward for more than a couple of people at a time, but this wasn't a major problem. There were a few areas in need of minor repair or renovation in and around the property, but nothing that impacted our stay. And although we knew that the property allowed dogs before booking (we didn't have any with us), unfortunately there was an occasional whiff which needed regularly masking with air freshener. None of these issues impacted our stay and overall we thought the price was right, and the property was clean and comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate booking again, and not only for the Welsh cakes!

This is a great rental property that I can't find fault with.

We were a family group of six adults and three little ones.1st thing to note was the access to the property is easy and straightforward, we parked 4 cars easily with room for a few more. Large outdoor table with plenty of chairs. Once inside the rooms work really well it has a nice addition of a sauna which is in very good condition and works well. That is downstairs off large ensuite bedroom. All other rooms, kitchen and lounge are on 1st floor which allows for sea views. All fixtures and fittings are in good condition. Beds,linen, towels etc and seating throughout the property is good and comfortable. Great location for a beach holiday.

A good property for our multigenerational family.

We also loved the garden. The house is well placed for visiting the island and has a good, convenient beach if you want to stay put!

What can we say about Willoway… Simply WOW.

It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the owners had thought of everything that we could possibly need, including little treats for our dog, gin glasses, a welcome basket and note on arrival, along with an information pack about places to visit. We were staying as a family of four (6 year old and 1 year old) and my parents. I contacted the owner prior to our stay to ask for the baby gate, high chair and travel cot, Jan responded straight away and was very helpful and everything was set up waiting for us. Can’t recommend Willoway enough, location was perfect, could walk to the beach and cafes, shops and pub. Also would recommend the Indian Rasoi (we had a takeaway) and it was one of the best we’ve had. We will definitely be returning at some point for another holiday. Thank you x

Property was excellent with good facilities to enjoy a family get away, including cooking a full roast dinner.

Plenty of space and felt comfortable and safe during some stormy weather. Beach nearby was fab and great local amenities. Would definately recommend.

Everything we needed was there.Beautiful area to holiday in. Fantastic beach just 2 minutes away, also Tesco Express, Spar and Co-Op. Great fish and chips from Finneys and can definitely recommend The Bengal Hut for takeaway.Lovely welcome pack, thankyou. Great to have such a good range of kitchen equipment and utensils,crockery etc. The house was spotlessly clean. Lots of space to park the cars. Beautiful garden but sadly the weather meant that we couldn't enjoy that.Many thanks to the owners for spending time and effort in looking for my daughter's earring. We were all sad to leave.

Really enjoyed the holiday home and it provided all home comforts and would go again with a large group.

Might be worth mentioning, If you follow your sat nav, when you reach your destination, turn down Dingle Lane and Willoway is at the bottom on the left. Also mention there is a summer house, we thought it was not to be used, found the keys at the end of the holiday

We really enjoyed our stay.

We made the most of the local area including spending time at the local beach and using the local shops. The property was in an excellent position for a short walk to the beach. The property is well resourced and had everything we needed to enjoy a comfortable stay. It was lovely that there is a local Christian group who organise activities on the beach for the children, giving up their own time and volunteering to do so. There was also an evening ‘family night’ with activities to get involved with on the beach. We would definitely recommend a visit to Willoway.

We had a fabulous stay at Willoway.

The property is very close to the beach, and I was able to easily take my 2 and 4 year old down every day! There are a couple of Cafe's by the beach, and plenty of places to get an ice cream. The beach is excellent. The property itself was clean and well presented. There is loads of parking, and the different rooms available made it really flexibile on the couple of days that we had rain. Highly recommend a stay at Willoway.

Beautiful place to stay and an excellent location for exploring Anglesey.

Loved the welcome basket and even the dogs were catered for. We were three generations under one roof and there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches from the owners, would definitely stay again.

A wonderful property for our extended family of four generations to stay in.

The house is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It has lovely sea views and a beautiful garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful and there was a really nice welcome pack waiting for us. The area is quiet with a fantastic beach on the doorstep. There are numerous shops and good eating places in the vicinity (10 minutes walk but does involve a short steep hill). There are numerous parking places if walking is difficult. We would thoroughly recommend this property and would stay here again.

Convenient location - close to the beach and amenities and easy access to the rest of Anglesey and North Wales The house’s wonderful garden meant that the children had a great space to play and the adults could relax on the furniture. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The sauna was a nice bonus - as were the amazing views of the sea. We would definitely recommend - and hope to stay there again.
