Really lovely location and accomodation great.

Lots of space to sit and enjoy the peace.Several small issues about the maintenance of the property.Couple of things that made us choose the property instead of somewhere else.The main selling point for our 3 grandkids was the zipwire in the play area.This was broken so couldnt use.Second factor was the hot tub which was lovely to have but didnt really get hot,just like a luke warm bath.The bbq could have done with a good clean and tray for charcoal was stuck at an angle.The freezer desperately needed a defrost.These are all small issues but when youve paid £1200 to stay there i feel i have a right to comment.Couldnt write in visitor book as it was full and i was shocked to find a leaflet to reverse abortion pill! among the visitor leaflets.One of my grandkids found this and asked me what it was.Apart from these comments the accomodation was comfortable,wifi good and location great to explore Snowdonia.Would definitely stay there again in the future

The property was really well located, allowing us to get to some lovely beaches and forests within 20 minutes.

Bryn Derwen is deceptively spacious inside and has a garden more than large enough to entertain our 1 year old Labrador. Hot tub was a great size and well maintained, also in a nice private spot. Beds were very comfortable and there was more than enough storage space for clothes in each bedroom; a TV per bedroom was a highlight considering we had 2 teenagers with us. My only complaint about the property was that the kitchen knives were quite blunt; other than that, it's a well stocked, well located, comfortable lodge that ticked our boxes!

What a place. Spent Easter here and had the best time. Garden is huge, kids and dogs loved it. Swing park outside the back gate. Inside is beautiful and has everything you need. Just perfect! Defo booking for next year.

It was also nice to have a proper size TV! Negatives, quite noisy but only during day time, kitchen equipment poor (lack of trays and knives not sharp)

Amazing lodge in beautiful setting.

Great location for exploring north Wales. The lodge was very well equipped and spotlessly clean and very comfy beds. Great hot tub and bbq area and extensive grounds. We would highly recommend it and will definitely be booking again.

We loved the property.

Very comfortable beds, lots of outdoor discs and the garden area felt very private. The living area was comfortable and the place was super cosy. The hot tub was well maintained and a real treat! We would have preferred proper light shades on the lights, so that the naked bulbs could not be seen and would have appreciated a couple of lamps in the living area. It was unfortunate that part way through our stay a very rowdy family was next door in The coach house. We had a couple of night with lots noise until late. However, after contacting the owner on the second night, the issue resolved within 10 minutes, which we were very grateful for.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bryn Derwen Lodge.

It was perfect for me and my little dog and is located right on the doorstop of Snowdonia National Park; providing access to explore some truly magical walks (only a short drive away). I will definitely be booking again, in the future. Thank you

We had the most relaxing five night stay at Bren Derwen Lodge.

The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was perfectly secluded in the ample & secure back garden. I imagine it to be stunning in the summer months. We plan to book again for next year.

A fantastic well appointed holiday lodge with the most amazing garden/facilities.

Cosy, comfortable and relaxing. Stuart and Gordon were friendly and helpful, and on hand daily if required. Would highly recommend and we hope to return in the future.

The music at the hot tub didn’t work unfortunately but the facilities were amazing.

Hotub music didn’t work. The outside of the building is covered in cobwebs. We went round with a broom on the back just so we weren’t walking in to them. Just needs tub sorting and a really good clean. Had to filter hotub also as looked dirty. Place needs to be cleaner but a lovely spot.

We had a great stay, lovely holiday lodge with very comfy beds and great location.

Well what can we say.

It was just perfect in every way. Stunning. Comfortable. Bigger than the pics show to be fair. Perfect location for getting out and about. Cant fault a single thing. Owners very helpful even though tjey were on holiday. But gordon was spot on. Thankyou very much for a superb holiday Steph Steve Holly and Rafe.

What a fantastic place, I cannot reccomend this place enough for young families looking for a peaceful break.

The kids loved the little park and riding their bikes down the lane. We had a minor issue of a roof leak from a heavy downpour, no sooner had I reported it, Gordon the onsite maintenance had it repaired. The lodge was perfectly placed for us to explore North Wales and Anglesey. Fantastic holiday and we will definitely be returning.

The lodge had lovely gardens and hot tub, which if the weather had been.

better, would have been well used. Was easy to find the property, and it contained everything that we needed. Beds were large and comfy, the shower was good, with plenty of hot water for all four of us. The location was great for Zip World - just a few minutes drive away. Only a couple of niggles, the seats on the armchairs had seen better days, no support left in them. Also, neighbours next door were partying hard one evening, but it stopped by 11pm. Overall, a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

It was absolutely beautiful, we had a lovely time spending time with family.

They have thought of everything you need including games for the kids. I would definitely recommend staying here

Excellent place to stay everyone very friendly and lodge is amazing and massive garden with hot tub fire pit barbecue outside eating area everything you need for a nice break away.

3 good size bedrooms and large living area and we can not wait to book it again

The facilities were brilliant. We didn’t use the outside kitchen or fire pit as it was February and the weather wasn’t the best. We did make use of the hot tub. All 3 bedrooms are doubles and the beds and pillows really comfortable. Would definitely recommend and look at rebooking again.

The Lodge is in a prime position.

There were however a number of issues. Dining Room seats need replacing. Blind to Dining Room window needs to operate properly (totally wrecked) Bedding in Two of the Bedrooms ripped. Shower difficult to operate. Carpet to lounge area needs cleaning. Outside one of the sun-beds needs to be usable. While none of these detracted from our enjoyment of our Holiday we have used Sykes before and expected better

This was our second stay at Bryn derwyn for my wife and 12 Yr old daughter oh and our lab wilson as we adore the lodge.

Stayed in the cold of winter this time with snow on the last day and it was toasty warm.Great communication with owner Elaine,, and Gordon who is onsite to assist with anything is fantastic. We love the setting,hot tub is great,great firepit and barbecue area and we all played on the zip line..All the comforts inside,beds very comfy,good tv's, kitchen maybe needs more implements to cook,glasses,bowls but we managed OK.. you will love this place

Wonderful Christmas spent at Bryn Derwen lodge, we would love to come back!

The beds are very comfortable and the lodge is very cosy and homely. We all said we would gladly live there! Great owners who were really helpful! Could do with a new set of bowls and some glasses and perhaps new cushions for the armchairs but it didn’t affect the overall enjoyment and the magic of Christmas spent there!

Fabulous place, wish we could afford to rebook but with prices doubling for next year its just not possible.

What an amazing place, so clean and tidy.

The garden is enclosed which was perfect for our dogs and the hot tub was incredible. The interior of the lodge made you feel at home and had a cosy feeling to it. We will definitely be booking again.

What a hidden gem.

We had a lovely relaxing stay and couldn't fault anything. The garden was great for a Saturday night bbq and marshmallow toasting round the fire pit. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. So good we have already booked for next year!

Lovely peaceful location and a good base to view the area.

The general seating in the property looks good but is uncomfortable when sat watching tv etc. The beds are super comfy and the hot tub was lovely after a day’s walking. The garden was sufficiently secure and enclosed for our dog. The Smart tv with a good internet connection was excellent. Good communication with the caretaker who was very helpful.

Stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time.

What a beautiful lodge wrapped in an amazing outside area.We made full use of the outside eating area ,barbecue,firepit and hot tub and especially liked waking up with the French doors opened enjoying the view from our bed.The children's play area is a great addition which was enjoyed by us all.Just magical for us and sad to leave.Will definitely return and thanks to Elaine and Gordon for help and advise.

Absolutely lovely little holiday.

We all had a great time and we’re really impressed! Only little things I’d mention as advice/recommend - two areas of garden where the fences are low - would be great if these were done so it’s completely enclosed for dogs. The house could do with having some cleaning spray for ease of cleaning sides/tables. A couple of extra oven trays for cooking food. Apart from that - everything perfect and we’ll certainly be stopping again :) Thank you!

Accomodation fantastic!

Highly recommend if you want a relaxed stay stoking a log burner, throwing steak on the BBQ and taking a dip in a jacuzzi/hot tub under the moonlight. Owners were very helpful yet left us to it. Will definitely be booking to go back!

Fantastic place which we all loved.

The photo's didn't do it justice. Outside area was amazing and we had plenty of BBQ. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in in any holiday accommodation.

As a group of friends we had a fantastic & really relaxing time in The Lodge!

Beautiful house with plenty of room for the 5 of us, great facilities, very clean & tidy & all round just great. The men who greeted us to show us around were very friendly & helpful and always just a phone call away although we didn't need any assistance once as all our needs were met. We loved the outdoor facilities too with the hot tub & big fire (+ plenty of fire wood without a charge which was great) Took a drive across for a walk on Angelsey beach in the sunshine which was an easy 30 minutes drive followed by a lovely pub lunch. Perfect little weekend. Fantastic stay from start to finish & we are already looking at booking again for the summer.

This was the first time we have used Sykes Cottages but we will definitely use again!
