A lovely nearby park for the kids to enjoy and beautiful walks for the pooches. A very spacious property for all of us to enjoy... It's perfect groups of friends or families to get together, like we did. We would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful property just as listed.

Good location, only 5 minutes drive from zip world and around 20 minutes from the beach/town. Very quiet road. Owner was very friendly and replied to any messages promptly. Great range of utensils etc, if one thing I could comment on, it would be some sharper knifes. Beds were comfortable but if you like a firm pillow I would recommend taking your own. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future.

Having arrived in ffestiniog early.

We had some lunch and messaged the host asking if there was any chance we could check in early as it was raining, to which we never got a reply. The t.v setup in the main living room is a shambles as the remotes don't seem to do anything. We had trouble getting the heating going as some of the radiators didn't want to warm up. There's a big window at the front of the Chapel that's desperate for repair/replacing as it doesn't close properly leaving a draft. The place is a little dated and could do with freshening up. Overall the 9 of us were comfortable enough for the weekend but we won't use 'sykes cottages' again. the booking process and additional charges we received when changing dates was infuriating, not being able to cancel a booking with 60 days notice is poor.

We had a lovely time at Horeb Chapel for a friend’s 30th birthday.

The accommodation is beautiful, clean, very comfortable and fully equipped. Located nearly an hour away from Llanberis where we started our climb up Snowdon. A bit further than we would have liked but the room configuration was good for a group of 6 people without sharing beds. The log fire was a godsend when we got back from our climb as we were all really cold and wet to our skin. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had about the local area. Even left a bottle of bubbly for the birthday boy. Would definitely recommend this property.

Really lovely house and location, had a problem with the tv and the owner sorted quickly, also had a fault with some lights and the owner sorted it quickly even leaving some wine and cakes

We really enjoyed the stay — the place is spacious, well-equipped, and in a convenient location for driving.

Just a couple of small suggestions: • It would be great to have a few more rubbish bags and toilet rolls, as the 3 bags and 3–4 rolls provided weren’t quite enough for our 6-nights stay. • On the second floor, the fence by the sofa side might feel safer for children if it were a little higher. Overall, we recommend it.

Lovely place to stay with everything you need!

The house was clean, spacious and comfortable beds! The garden is very small and needs some TLC but it didn't ruin our stay :)

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Horeb Chapel with 6 of us and our 2 dogs.

The property was spacious, beautifully converted, and clean throughout. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The open-plan layout made it perfect for socialising as a group, and the stunning surroundings made it even more special. Plenty of room for the dogs to settle in too! We would highly recommend Horeb Chapel and would love to return in the future.

Absolutely beautiful house, great for the family with lots of entertaining space.

I would say the property could do with a thorough clean and sponges/clothes left in the kitchen for cleaning dishes as a lot of them were dirty. Apart from the lack of cleanliness it's a great house in a great location with beautiful views of the mountain, train and river.

The chapel was a lovely place to stay it really is a family home.

Comfortable, cosy and welcoming. The view from the large arched windows to the mountains outside literally just over the road was perfect. Lots of space for all of us as well. Overall a great week away with family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chapel House, everything we needed, for 9 of us staying.

The cupboards were a struggle with people vertically challenged, a small stool would be helpful. Nice walks in the area. Plenty of things to do to, Zip lines, mines etc. We had brilliant weather which always helps. Be nice to stay again sometime.

Property was great for us, and well located.

Plenty of space, nice and warm and great layout with big comfy sofa's. We got soaked on the Saturday so having somewhere to pop wet boots and kit downstairs was handy and to dry out in front of the fire. Only issue was the bins were full and overflowing outside and we weren't sure where to put the rubbish!

A beautiful converted chapel, stunning outlook.

The owners were really welcoming asking for room configuration requirements before arrival. The chapel itself was very homely and instantly felt comfortable. A few nice touches with family games and books available we would love to go back again for longer and would recommend to others really local to zip wires and cave trampolines

We had a lovely break, the chapel is just perfect, beautiful surroundings, and very peaceful too.

The only down side was there wasn’t much garden space for our dogs, however the rest of the accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this accommodation especial for a family get together or a group of friends.

We all loved the chapel.

It was a great place to gather as a family, which has now become an annual event for us. The accommodation was lovely and well planned, all the bedrooms were spacious, the 3 seating areas also worked well with a group. We had 3 small dogs so the hard floors worked very well with wet paws etc. Only one small niggle was no T towels, I’m guessing this was an oversight the week we visited.

I would suggest providing bath/shower mats.

As I am approaching 80 i found it a bit daunting getting in and out of the bath/shower.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location.

Lots of space and well equipped. Our only issue was the noisy doors and floors, if one person woke early everyone was awake!

I have e-mailed the owner about a few little things that we feel should have been there as it is listed to sleep 8.

But we managed. In particular the guide folder was poorly paragraphed and not explicit in details on how to run the TVs. And there were a few kitchen items short - might have walked with the last occupants.

Property not at marketed.

Photos are old photos. Health and Safety concerns such as broken stairs. Water boiler not always working. TV’s not working. Burst water pipe. Had to clean crockery before using. Toilets coming away from wall. This is to name a few items - there were more. Contacted owner to give feedback - offered a measly £50 refund for compensation. Would not stay here again which is a shame a location perfect for Snowdon and surrounding area.

Horeb Chapel is in a great location for exploring the area.

It is very large and comfortable. We had issues with thecTV in the smallest bedroom, a loose connection or something similar. In another bedroom both the bedside lamps didn't work. Surely things like this should be checked before each new guests arrive. Also in the kitchen there us everything that you could need, but the wall units are extremely high to reach into even for people over 6ft tall.

Lovely place.

But could do with a good deep clean. Lots of cob webs and dust behind things like the tv, sofas corners of the ceilings.

The chapel itself was beautiful and Mike was lovely to ask how we would like the beds set up before we arrived.

The house although caters for dogs, wasn't too bad. Although the downstairs lounge a doggy smell. Bit the bedrooms didn't- which was amazing. The Chapel is tired in places it could have been cleaner - but it was clean enough. We picked An amazing weather weekend and the beautiful windows we had at the front meant it was breezy. Although, the windows were too high too reach and could do with a pole to be able to open and pull the blinds down too. Overall. The Chapel is in an idyllic beautiful place with the sound of a waterfall and the train goes past. Which is lovely.

Messaged the owners about chairs all needing screws on them as the seat pads lift and can trap fingers and they replied quickly to this.

Generally the house needs a good clean especially the oven and sofa bed. Also the pilllows still don’t have covers on them as another guest had pointed out. We only used the house as a base and made the most of the beautiful setting and activities on offer in the local area.

We had a lovely stay - the property was perfect for our needs.

A lovely space with all the amenities and in a great location. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean which is hugely important and it was always a good temperature. The garden was secure for my two small dogs which was essential for me to be able to relax and enjoy my holiday. The welcome pack was helpful but may need updating. There are absolutely beautiful sites to see and explore in the immediate vicinity and only slightly further afield and Snowden is only a 40 minute drive so we ticked that from our bucket list! We would definitely come back here!

Great place for a family get together or for a group of friends.

Plenty of space and really good if, like us, you are out and about in the countryside and arrive back with wet clothing. Everyone in our group was impressed with the accommodation and we would definitely use again. Communication with the owner was excellent..

Great location, fantastic views.

Shame the log burner was not working, one reason I booked property. Some of the outside windows rotten. Needs some work on this property to bring it up to a 5 stars.

Beautiful accommodation which provided the perfect acoustics for our string quartet!

The house was also warm and cosy, with dramatic scenery and a mountain steam railway just outside the back door. The nearby slate quarries looked stunning in the sun and rain and the house was well situated to travel a little further afield to access the main mountains of Snowdonia and the coast.

Lovely accommodation in a good location.

It was disappointing to find that the log burner as described in the listing was not working and we were not notified prior to our arrival as this was part of our set criteria for selecting this accommodation.

We had a 3 night stay ar Horeb Chapel.

Its situated at a beautiful location and location is ideal as it is closed to a lot of attractions. The house is big and can accommodate upto 8 people and 2 children. Well equipped house for people of all ages. We did not have any issues during our stay. Would recommend it to anyone looking to explore beauty of North Wales.

We stayed here in the 1st week of July with a family of 3 generations, 6 adults 2 boys and two new born twins and the house suited us all.

We enjoyed the upstairs open plan living, plenty of space and seating. We also had two dogs and the local walks were lovely. The location was very convenient for shops, walks and leisure activities. The Zip wire was especially enjoyed by us, expensive but well worth it. All in all we had a great time but a shame the weather was poor that week but it did not stop us from making the most of our time there. We highly recommend this property.

It is actually in the centre of a long line of houses. I did not recognise it when I arrived. The chapel is tired and in need of upgrade. they all compained that the beds were uncomfortable. The adult mattresses had not mattress protection. Nor did the pillows. ;Having said that we did enjoy the holiday and it will not put us off hiring another house perhaps next year. I also had to clean the fridge when I arrived something had gone down below the bottom drawer, but it was easily done. Lesley Diaper

The upstairs gallery living space was superb.

Loads of room for us all (we were two families of four staying there). A great location, with the steam railway over the road to provide added interest for the kids! You can walk on the Moelwynion straight from the front door (or park a little closer just down the road) , which is a great day out. Thanks for your hospitality.

The converted chapel is spacious and comfortable with lots of seating and different places to relax.

Bedrooms and bathrooms are all a good size too. The house was let down by its cleanliness, the underside of all of the sofas, beds, shelves and drawers had not been cleaned or even vacuumed. I found cobwebs and a baby bottle which still had milk in it under one of the drawers in the bedroom and a used towel was left on the back of one of the bedroom doors. This is a shame because the house is lovely and apart from this we did enjoy our stay. Perfect for a large family or even two small families to enjoy with lots of pans / crockery to cook food, lots of books to read and even a few board games to play. The house is in a great location to enjoy snowdonia with so many great parts of Wales on your doorstep!

A greta place to stay, the home was lovely and well outfitted.

A good central location for Snowdonia and the local shops and amenities are plentiful. The home could benefit from a deep clean, and when we stayed the decor looked al little tired. This did not put us off however, the place was in general tidy and clean.

The owners were really helpful and friendly!

The description stated you can park on the road and a near by parking area however, when we arrived the neighbour was watching us out of his window and came out to say “we have rules here and everyone has a place they like to park so can you make sure your cars are gone by the morning” despite our car being parked directly outside the cottage. It wasn’t helpful that they were trying to dictate where we could park on a public road. It didn’t feel like a welcoming neighbourhood as we were also told that “everyones here on holiday try not to ruin it for others” as soon as we arrived. Before we had even entered the house or unloaded the car. It felt hostile and there were a few glaring eyes watching us during our stay. Needless to say I don’t think the neighbours were happy to have people different to them staying in the cottage.

Our second time staying at the chapel.

Love the chapel and the whole Snowdonia area. Plenty of space for 8 of us plus the dogs and very well equipped.

We loved our stay at Horeb Chapel.

The living space is really relaxing with a lovely mix of nice views of the mountains and natural lighting. The location is on a quiet lane backed by a mountain stream which is very peaceful. It's close to a few shops up in Blaenau and near to the Zipworld activities. It's also pretty much 20 mins from the coast, snowdon, etc.

We are really enjoyed the stay.

The house was clean ,huge and modern. There is Tv (with movie channel access) DVD, Bluetooth speaker, kettle and toaster. Only things what I would like to mention is about the downstairs rooms, they were very cold for us. Thank you for the sky cottages and for the owner.

Great for family gatherings

We booked as a family of 10 for my daughters 21st birthday.

The accommodation was perfect, was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and bedding was clean and fresh. Plenty of room for us all without being on top of each other. Perfectly placed for zip world and a little pub a short stroll up the road. The host was very helpful and answered any questions I had prior to our visit. I would definitely recommend.

!! The local pub came to the rescue! Turn right out of the front door it’s very welcoming. Property was ok we had a relaxed break. generally the property could do with a deep clean . Fresh throws on sofas for each visit/stay

Lovely location, lovely property just needs more attention with the cleaning and abit of TLC.

Everything was perfect.

This would be more appropriate if the cottage would have a back garden which was not. We enjoyed it a lot and definitely recommend other people to book this as this is a very spacious cottage.

The cottage was comfortable but missed the mark in a lot of different ways!

On arrival we were greeted by a small garden area to the front, with a tiny bbq, and bench. The bbq was inadequate for 10 people. When entering the property we were pleasantly surprised by the bedrooms downstairs, and the space upstairs… it was perfect for socialising. But it wasn’t as clean as we would of liked, we could smell dogs and a lot of shelves were dirty. We needed to use the sofa bed and when we got this out we were shocked by the poor quality of the mattress and had to put the sofa cushions under it. The village is a bit of ghost town but the cottage is a great base to explore wales!

The property was fantastic.

Well equipped and plenty of space for our party. We climbed Snowdon, and visited Harlech Beach, Fairy Glen, Betws-y-coed, Portmeirion, Swallow Falls and Cynfal Falls. All were within a 30 minute drive. Would highly recommend this cottage and will be returning some time in the future. We had an issue with using the oven on the first night and the owner was on hand to fix it straight away. Five stars ⭐️

Fabulous space for a large group.

Loved the way the space was set out with plenty of room for socialising and two bathrooms was a huge bonus. Great communication from hosts and super information in the welcome file. Brilliant base for exploring and gorgeous walks nearby. The only comment I would make is the accommodation was not as clean as I would have expected. Glass was found under main sofa upstairs (by children who had dropped something) and downstairs had a strong smell which seemed to be due to previous pets urinating on rug. However, main areas such as bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. We had a fabulous week and even the rain did not spoil our week.

We had a fab weekend with the family including my parents and our two dogs.

My Dad is on nighttime dyalisis, I message ahead to see if we could arrive a little earlier to set his machine. The man I contacted was very helpful and accomodating. There was plenty of room for us to set everything up. We would love to go back again in the summer months. It's a thumbs up from us

Stunning house and setting.

Attention to detail and lovely little touches like being welcomed by a bottle of mulled wine!! There was everything you could need. The wood burner was perfect to sit around on a festive evening. Owner always available to answer any queries. A real home from home. 100%recommended.

The online photos are very good but you never know how things will turn out until you're there.

This place really exceeded our expectations. So good. Very comfortable for eight of us, six adults and two children. Everyone had enough room to find privacy as needed. The owners have thought of everything and we very much enjoyed our four nights here. Great location too.

The timing of the heating seemed to be a little unusual, but this might just be me!

It seemed to come on in the middle of the night rather than the afternoon. The chapel itself is wonderful and beautifully converted and renovated, although the sofas were too big for most of our party. Thanks again.

Excellent base to explore the local area.

House was very well maintained and many home comforts. Nice to sit around in our group chat playing games and socialise. Dining table large enough to eat altogether.

What can I say; Horeb Chapel is a fantastic property!

It was exceptional in every way. There was plenty of room, the beds were really comfortable and Daisy and Mike really did think of everything. Highly recommend this property, the location was good very closr to the Zip world caverns and everything else was a short drive. Thoroughly enjoyed this holiday.
