The hosts were fantastic, great location, lovely quiet and peaceful with some great dog walks on the doorstep.

Short drive to the beaches. The cottage was lovely and cool when we had the fortunate hot weather over half term.

Nant Back is idyllic!

A tranquil location and a property of great character with grounds to explore. The rustic nature of the property is complemented by the addition of all the modern appliances one needs. It was clean, warm and very comfortable. Booked for a week but could have stayed for months! I used the property as an ideal base to walk multiple sections of the coast path. Perfect location for a relaxing holiday on the Llyn Peninsular (fabulous harbours and beaches), an exquisite and underrated corner of our isles which is full of nature and wildlife. My hosts respected my privacy but were on hand (in adjoining property) for any assistance. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Charming rustic cottage in a secluded rural location.

Woodland walks on the smallholding were a delight even in early winter and I would definitely recommend the cottage as a place to get away from it all. Communication with owners was very good and the welcome gifts were much appreciated . Thank you

What a great place for a cosy November getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay in Nant Bach. It was snug and warm, perfect to come back to after days on the beach and coastal walks. The cottage was lovely and warm: the shower super hot, the log burner toasty and the wood fired hot tub perfect! We had everything we needed during our stay and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. We found it the ideal place to stay close to many beautiful places on the Llyn Peninsula. We found some amazing food spots including the community pub in Nefyn serving gorgeous homemade meals, the gallery in LLanbedrog with a great choice of lunch and cakes and Two Islands in Abersoch with coffee & cakes, yet again, being delicious!. We have left Nant Bach feeling totally relaxed! Thank you!

We cannot praise this cottage enough.

We got back from our holiday there two days ago and wishing we were still there. From the accommodation to the area of Nefyn itself, it was the perfect week. John, who owns the cottage, was super friendly, gave us space but was also on hand if we needed him. The small holding where the cottage is is just lovely with woodland to explore and stunning views no matter what the weather. The beach is a very short drive away and a must to visit. It is stunning. The cottage has everything you need. Be sure to take logs for the log burner, that made the evenings even more cosy. Well equipped kitchen. Beds were super comfy too. We are hoping to be back here very soon. Thank you for a gorgeous, cosy cottage to help us make the most special family memories.

The approach is down a short but reasonably steep and track.

The owners were friendly and very helpful, and allowed us to store bikes in their outbuilding. It was very quiet (although we were the only visitors on site for most of the week we were there). The property was pretty clean and there was a good welcome pack provided. The conversion and fittings were a bit 'quirky', possibly using repurposed items, but that suits our ethos and didn't at all detract from our enjoyment of the stay. The 'Jack-and-Jill' bathroom was actually accessible from both the sitting room and the bunk room. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a problem with the hot water while we were there but the owners were very responsive to getting it quickly sorted. For us the sofas (which are what you typically find in a self catering property) were very uncomfortable, we prefer something more upright and supportive, so have one or two chairs of this nature would be very helpful. Similarly having some squishy toppers for the beds would make for a better night's sleep, but again, this is subjective.The owner showed us a back route out of the property (for walking / cycling only) which made it an ideal location for a cycling holiday since you could avoid the main road.

Great cottage for a wonderful stay.

The only comments I would make would be regarding the taps in the bathroom make quite a loud noise when turned on. The front and back doors were sometimes difficult to open. But we appreciate it is an old property with limitations on what can be changed.

Absolutely brilliant!

This is the best place we've stayed on the Llyn. It is very peaceful with beautiful views. The cottage is cosy, clean and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and helpful too. The grounds are lovely with 2 camping pods and a camping barn but far enough apart to be private. We would rebook Nant for our next stay on the Llyn if we choose not to camp.

Our dog enjoyed the freedom of the forest. It was also a pleasure to meet Will for our morning chat, we managed to put the world to rights each day. The cottage is comfortable with everything you need. Just be aware that the steps and stairs inside the cottage are at different levels, although this is a feature of the style and type of building, they can be a little challenging for someone with mobility problems.

Nant Bach is a delightful place in a lovely setting. John and Adele make you feel at home with a generous welcome pack and fresh eggs by the door one morning. The area is blessed with many lovely beaches. Our weather was glorious too.

We had a great stay.

The property was even better than the photos. The owners were friendly but gave us our own space. The homemade honey was a lovely gesture.

We’ve just returned from such a lovely family holiday at Nant Bach.

The cottage is clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped for a family of 4 (plus dog). Beautiful views from the front and grounds all around. The kids loved exploring in the woods, feeding the lambs and meeting the chickens (and getting the occasional freshly laid egg). We got fresh honey from the owners and the hot tub was an added bonus. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay, I am sure we’ll be back.

An amazing base for the week to visit the most beautiful beaches.

Host was very helpful in guiding us to some great places to visit. Wi-Fi worked perfectly too.

Everything needed at the property for comfortable living no WiFi to us was not a problem and owners had tried their best to solve what to some people would be an issue but the property just makes you relax without it and enjoy your holiday Nant Bach was 10/10

We had a blissful week at Nant Bach.

The cottage is down a track through a wood which adds to its magic. The cottage itself is charming and had everything we could need including a welcome pack and enough wood and kindling to get the wood burner going. Plenty of lovely beaches nearby and it’s not too far to drive to the Llanberis pass. The WiFi was hit and miss; however, that only added to our enjoyment at this retreat. We are completely refreshed and will return.

Very poor driveway to property.

Bedroom not suitable, very claustrophobic, very low ceiling and beams. Property needs a good deep clean and making more homely. Bad phone and Internet reception. Dog loved the woods but we will not be going back.

what a beautiful cozy place to stay. The Cottage is wonderful and John was helpful with the Internet when we couldn't get it to work. It's a great base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula. The cottage is a really nicely done barn conversion. It's well laid out, spacious and very comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Nant Bach. We'll be back.

We loved staying at Nant Bach.

Everything was absolutely great. Nant Bach is a beautiful place, surrounded by woods and open fields. It was so peaceful, a great place to unwind. We would recommend it to anyone. We are hoping to stay again next year. The detailed instructions of how to find Nant Bach were excellent. The owner John was very welcoming and easy to talk to. The only thing we suggested is that phone numbers for a GP surgery and Vets be added to the comprehensive information book.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful,and the welcome goodies were much appreciated.This lovely old cottage is set in the owners' extensive and beautiful grounds. The views all around are lovely,and the plot is very private although only a short distance from Nefyn and the coast, and is also easy to find.The only downside to my holiday was the atrocious weather which I did not expect at the end of April/early May.I only had two decent days, and sunshine on only one day- the rest of the time there were leaden skies, rain and wind.I am used to booking holidays well ahead of time,but having had two cottage holidays already this year with disappointing weather, I am now changing tack and will now be a last minute booker when I know the weather will be acceptable. However,Nant Bach is an ideal cottage to stay in whatever the weather. The two sofas are superbly comfortable, and the cottage is warm. The very calming birdsong all around is a treat.Highly recommended if, like me, your choice of holiday cottage is an old, beamed property with stone walls, wooden stable doors, a large cast iron roll top bath, and a spacious new shower.Many Thanks.

Lovely cottage ideal for our 2 dogs as spacious with practical wooden flooring.

Quite a few maintenance issues need addressing though. Main doors to front & back entrance difficult to open as too tight to the floor. Door to small bedroom doesn't close. Cold tap in bathroom squeals when turned on. Electrics in main upstairs bedroom need looking at as main light switch often didn't turn on the light at all or light just flickering on & off. Access to property will also be much better once the stone has been fully laid which is already in progress. Our car got stuck in the mud once trying to pull out from the top of the driveway onto the main road.

A beautiful cottage just off the A497 Pwllheli road, the cottage was built around the 1800's and this is what makes it so beautiful with the old beams etc.

There is a forest walk down the side too that you can use. We were met by John and Adele who live in their cottage at the side of Nant Bach, if you have any problems they are there to help. As you are just off the A497 this gives you access to the roads to travel to Porthmadog which is 25 mins away, if you do go to Porthmadog try Good Mood restaurant for some fabulous food. Pwllheli to Caernarfon is 32 mins away and its 45 mins from Pwllheli to Bangor. If you want a break away in a beautiful cottage in Wales then I recommend Nant Bach. We had a lovely stay at Nant Bach.

After a long drive we were treated with a warm welcome, a warm cosy cottage with a very nice welcome pack. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything to make the stay perfect. John the owner was on hand for advice on the area and where to visit for food and drink. A great first visit to the area with some lovely beaches nearby. We hope to return. Thank you.

Not criticism but maybe needs looking at , you cannot use the lights in the house when it's dark to go from the main bedroom to the other side of the building ie bathroom and front room as the light switches are by the front door , we used a torch or left the small table lamp on , also an outside light by the door would be nice, but these are not major things just maybe for the future.

Cottage was delightful . Had our 2 dogs with us. Plenty places to go for long walks locally. Good pub about 2 min drive away and great food and dog friendly . Will definitely be returning at some point in the near future Ian , Karen , Archie and Rupert

We spent a wonderful week here in June, the property is set in a very quiet location and the dogs loved having their own bit of forest.

as a rule we never visit the same place twice but would definitely stay here again.

Loved the cottage and outdoor seating area, set in beautiful surroundings.

If we're being over critical, the bathroom taps need attention, the fridge needs a light and the freezer door needs fixing. Other than that, all good.

Friendly owners who shared their property and allowed us freedom to roam on their land.

Our dog loved it. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the garden.Quirky property which was comfortable, great shower, taps need some maintenance in bathroom. Also maybe a light when navigating stairs in middle of night to get to the loo! Switch is over the other side of kitchen. Loved our stay and would go back.

This is a lovely holiday cottage.

It's a special little place, very quiet and secluded. You definitely need a car to enjoy the surrounding area but there are amazing views and beautiful sunsets. Beaches are very close and the Bryn Cynnan pub just five minutes drive away serves good food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

What an amazing staycation.

My partner and I totally fell in love with the cottage. Comfy, cosy and perfect for a week of relaxing. Our dogs thought it was the best place ever! A small woodland for the back garden with sheep and cows is nearby fields to hello to, they were in their element. There were so many walks and places to visit locally we were spoilt for choice. Absolutely loved it!

The cottage is beautiful with a real fire to relax by and all the wood and resources provided for you. It was so nice to stay in an old stone cottage. The garden is great and we were allowed to play in the owner’s woods at the back. My daughter loved the swings hanging from the trees. The view from the garden is gorgeous. The cottage is well located for the beaches and Snowdonia is an hour’s drive. John the host is very nice and helpful. Thanks and we’d love to come back

This is a grade 2 listed building.

It is in a very quiet and peacefull location, set in it's own woodland. The view from the garden is fabulous. Nefyn is just 2 miles away. John and Adele are lovely and welcoming. If you need to forget the world for awhile, this is the place for you! If not, the wifi is excellent.

Fabulous location and scenery, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The oldy world rustic country cottage style was just up our street, completely authentic, which is why we understand that some of the mod con facilities were missing, but it was no big deal. The only thing we would recommend is some lighting on the stairs from the bedroom. There are 2 deep steps from the bedroom to the short wooden staircase and the ceilings were low. We felt this was a bit risky given that there was no natural light outside and no night lights inside. Awkward if you need the loo at night, thankfully a torch was provided. Nevertheless we would recommend and re book.

Nant Bach was a brilliant place to stay for our family holiday.

Our kids loved exploring the woods and the seeing sheep in the next field. Would highly recommend! It’s also a great based to explore the peninsula as Abersoch is only a 15min drive away.

The cottage had all the equipment we needed for our stay which was great and made life so much easier. John and Adele were really friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. Property is very nice and full of character and suited us as a family of four well. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Very good spot from which to explore the Llyn peninsula. The local beaches are good but we strongly recommend Porthor (Whistling Sands) for a safe sandy beach for the family.

It was so peaceful. My dog loved roaming among the gardens and woods belonging to the property. One week is not enough!

Great relaxing holiday helped no doubt by the lovely weather.

Spacious dog friendly property & gardens from the flagstone/wooden floors to the mown paths thro the surrounding woods which were fully enclosed allowing our dog to wander on his own. Comfy sofas, beds & a great smart TV. Owners were very friendly as were their visiting parents who our dog took quite a shine to. Excellent location for touring round about including a visit to our well loved Betws-y-coed. For eating out tho we travelled all of 2 mins to Y Bryncynan, a dog friendly restaurant offering excellent food & a great beer garden (visited 4 times). The bed is described on your listing as a kingsize.

This is factually incorrect. It is a standard 4'6" double bed. This matters very much to us as we have one at home. kingsize beds are generally made of 2 independently sprung mattresses so that one partner does not disturb the other when constantly moving through pain, or getting up to go to the toilet. Both get a better sleep. We had intended to complete the coast path but were so tired we were unable to walk at all on 2 days and came home early. I would never have booked this accommodation if I had known, I only ever book places with kingsize beds. (you can check my other bookings with Sykes). The property owners seemed to be lovely, helpful people who obviously work very hard, so I do not understand this deliberate mis-description and breach of trust with their visitors. We feel very let down and unable to trust Sykes again.

The surrounding garden and woods provided an absolute paradise for children.

Adults also had easy access to the woods as there are mown paths to follow. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and is furnished to a high standard. Overall we had a brilliant holiday with these friendly and helpful hosts.

Peaceful and removed but with easy access to nearby shops, pubs etc. The cottage is clean, comfortable and warm. Importantly, it’s run by nice people. We did not want to leave. Will be booking again.

We have recently just returned from this lovely Rural cottage set in the lovely countryside on the limb peninsula the driveway up to the cottage is a very bumpy ride just take your time we loved our time at the cottage the log fire is a great asset the kitchen was well equipped The only negative points we would say is that on the listing the bed is described as king-size but in fact it is only a double The owners were lovely and welcoming on arrival and the welcome gifts was a lovely touch we would definitely return

Facilities are good (could do with egg cups though) & everywhere was clean. The welcome basket is a nice touch. We were very sad to have to leave early due to testing positive for covid. We will definitely be coming back.

Nant is a lovely cottage set in a secluded spot, but still very conveniently placed for visiting the wider area.

There are splendid views from the grounds, and the cottage itself is warm and comfortable, with everything that one needs for a week's holiday. The owners left us with a generous welcome tray, which was much appreciated. We hope to visit again.

Nant Bach really is a hidden gem located in the most beautiful setting close to the most stunning beaches and villages.

The photos really don't do this place justice. The owners are extremely welcoming and happy to give advice and answer any questions you may have. We stayed as a family of 4 with our cockapoo and we could not recommend it more.

The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful . The property and the grounds are perfect for a family stay and the dog loved it too . The photos on the website don’t do this place justice , the bathroom has a new shower and toilet and the barn and surrounding spaces bigger than we expected . The woodland right outside the door was perfect for a quiet early morning stroll with the dog . The beaches nearby were great and just a 45 minute drive to Snowdonia too . All in all a great place !

Perfect for taking dogs as lots of space to walk them in the grounds. Lovely views and very peaceful and relaxing. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Only addition could maybe be a washing machine to wash swill beach wear at the end of the day, I’m sure if we’d asked the owners would have let us use theirs though, that’s how friendly they were! Definitely recommend

Great location and base for walks in Snowdonia and surrounds. Excellent facilities, brand new bathroom is a great addition and the grounds were a wonderful surprise, our dog loved the space and overall the property is very dog friendly. The owners were lovely and on hand if anything was needed, welcome telephone call to discuss places to eat out etc... was helpful for pre booking. We were pleased to be able to arrange asda delivery however supermarket isn't far away and also only short drive to the beach where there is a pub to watch the sunset with a pint. Lovely welcome pack and lots of helpful supplies however couldn't find an iron or hairdryer - but sure owners would provide if asked. Would love to stay again.

Cottage was so interesting and set in acres of woodland. There was a lot of space, excellent shower and bathroom with lashings of hot water. Really well equipped - wanted to take the cooker home !! There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. Bombay Joe’s Indian restaurant was good and the Spar in Nefyn was phenomenal. Will be back!

Lovely space, beautiful setting.

A very good new shower and toilet has recently been fitted that is not yet reflected in the photos. Would recommend.
