Entering the property, discover the bright and airy living space, boasting stylish décor with white-washed walls for a refreshing look.
Unwind in the sitting area, which offers plush, cream sofas to lounge on whilst the TV projector hosts a family film.
Prepare home-cooked meals in the sleek kitchen, utilise the two double ovens and induction hob to produce a feast.
When dinner is served there are two grand dining tables, to seat 34 guests, enjoy fine dining at this delightful social space and toast to a splendid getaway.
Carry the conversation through the patio doors to the rear garden, enclosed so that you can take your canine companions along with you and hosting picnic tables, as well as table tennis.
As the evening draws to a close, retreat inside and pick a bedroom to settle in for your stay; The Bevan hosts six ground-floor bedrooms and the remaining 11 rooms can be found on the first-floor in two separate wings.
All bedrooms are twin beds, which can zip/link into super-king-size, offering en-suite shower rooms and lovely views of either the green gardens or the wonderful Snowdonia Mountain range in the distance.
In the morning, enjoy a steaming cup of coffee in the front garden to admire the glorious grounds and discuss the adventures of the day.
Bontnewydd is a great location for outdoor enthusiasts as both Cader Idris Mountain Range Coed Y Brenin Forest Park are within easy reach and offer a splendour of nature, where you can explore the spectacular scenery either on foot or a mountain bike.
A scenic drive will lead you to the Royal town of Caernarfon, home to a castle, renowned as being one of the greatest castles from the middle-ages, Galeri Caernarfon, where you can soak in the culture with theatrical shows, live music and comedy; you can also tour the ancient Town Walls for a taste of history.
No trip to North Wales would be complete without an adventure to Snowdonia National Park, where you can explore the varying terrains and landscape boasting a plethora of walking, cycling and hiking trails through unspoilt greenery, striking mountains and steep river gorges; lace up your boots and hike to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales.
Venture further afield to the seaside town of Barmouth or Harlech, with a white, sandy beach on one side and mountain peaks on the other, enjoy an ice cream at Barmouth Harbour, home to a Yacht Club; whilst here it is also worth visiting Old Barmouth for quaint cafes and a beach fair.

This property isn’t what we normally have come to expect from Sykes cottages.
There were wires hanging from the ceilings and switches in some of the bathrooms loose.No instructions for the cooker or appliances .For what we paid it was very basic compared to the houses we have rented in the past. The dinning chairs were cream and the covers dirty and stained , old cigarettes in one of the drawers in a bedroom the whole place needed a really good clean, they left us a mop and bucket and a brush but nothing else. When we booked there wasn’t a hot tub, but there is know when we asked about the hot tub we were told it would be an extra £275 pounds, had we been informed before the start of the weekend we would probably have paid but if we were to book the house again that isn’t the difference in payment. We did have a good weekend but the house was very disappointing. Also by the bins there were old fridges etc.

The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere was so peaceful, and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. The hosts were welcoming and made us feel right at home. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely love to visit again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!
This was a super place for a large group of people at a reasonable price per person.
Thirty two of us from our cycling club stayed, the bedrooms were basic but beds very comfortable and the en-suites were lovely with fabulous showers. There was no carpet but that was fine for us as we were able to store our bikes in the corridors to keep them safe. The kitchen facilities were fine and we were able to cook each evening for 32 without any problems. There was enough room for us all to sit together in the dining room. The communal lounge was ok, a few of the chairs were a bit tatty. The lighting was very harsh (fluorescent overhead lights), a minor thing, but some softer lighting would have been welcome. There was a huge TV and a pool table and table football. There were plenty of outdoor tables and chairs both behind and in front of the property and plenty of car parking. The Bevan was in a lovely quiet situation and there were fantastic long and hilly cycle rides from the property. Steve, the caretaker, was around and very helpful. Overall a great place for a large group of friends to stay. Definitely not 5 star luxury but perfectly comfortable and good value for money. We will almost certainly book again.
