Gweldon - Anchor Deck

Accomodation was fine there was everything you need.

For me just could do with a freshen up and deep clean in the shower as there was black mould around the edges, the cushions and sofas need a clean as they did smell a bit. I would stay again but just take some fabreze with me next time

We had a lovely stay the only negatives are the mattress is too soft and very uncomfortable, the sofa could do with a refresh on the seat cushions.

But everything else was just perfect. The cottage is very spacious and the beach and woodland walk is lovely especially when you go round and over the bay, it's all so clean and well looked after in the bay. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This is our second visit to Anchor Deck .

Perfect location with beautiful views. Lovely & warm, a well equipped kitchen, perfect shower room with lots of hot water, comfortable bedroom. Dog friendly beach over the road, stunning walks from the accommodation. Porthmadog very close by with shops, supermarkets, cafes etc. Enjoyed trips to Barmouth, Criccieth, Beddgelert , all close by, would love to have a third visit.

There was an issue with the boiler when we first arrived, but this was immediately sorted by the owners. Fantastic service. The house was tastefully decorated. Cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views over the bay. We hope to return.

We absolutely love Borth y Gest we stay every year in different houses it’s such a beautiful place to be with so many lovely places to be near by.

The apartment served us well however, the BEDS please please invest in some decent mattresses they’re terrible they really are they’re so cheap with being such an ideal spot it could make everyone’s holiday so much better. Being honest, I couldn’t wait to get home and get back into my own bed I couldn’t deal with the aches any longer and my young children even said that they’re 9 and 7! I believe this has been mentioned before so I find it hard to believe they have been replaced but upstairs say how comfy they are? Please spend a night in them, you’ll see. My only other charms would be join recycling doesn’t work at all needs one for each property and the pots and pans are really cheap my husband burnt a fried eg we didn’t have scissors or a chopping board but made do. Little things would make it perfect and I would return and would recommend but I could on the beds provided they’re so bad but the neighbours said all the guests say the same. This isn’t a negative comment at all but upgrade the beds upgrade the pots and pans and look into the front door as it’s been bad for time and it’s perfect. We stayed for 2 weeks I had to ask the cleaners for fresh bedding for the 2nd week which they were unaware off and left on the door step. We didn’t have enough to sort out all the beds but we made do, Borth y Gest is a beautiful place to be, parking was easy enough in high season we had no problems with 2 cars as always. Thank you for having us but please spend a night or 2 on those beds xx

this is the second time we have stayed here a lovely village beach across the road coast walks not too challenging the apartment was adequate kitchen good if you cook all your own meals will book again.

Everything we needed for a fabulous holiday, very accessible and the location is truly stunning!

It was very clean and warm but had a poor mattress on the bottom bunk bed, and even though the double bed mattress was comfy, the bed frame squeaked and moved every time you turned over.

The upstairs flat was very noisy and we were woken in the middle of the night just by them moving around, using their bathroom and shutting doors. We left a day early due to the Inadequate, if at all any?,soundproofing from this converted house into 2 flats. We heard every footstep. We wouldn't stay here again. Also, there was broken glass around the back of the property, which, luckily, my dog didn't stand on. I believe it was the windows that had fallen out from the shed.

I love Anchor deck, it's in a great area nice and peaceful, the flat has a lovely feel about it ,lovely and clean ,could do with some better mattresses, they feel like their is no life in them although clean.

Description said a smart tv but was an ordinary tv I think it may have been an old set but im hoping they will up date this as it was hard to hear regarding muffled voices. Iv booked another holiday here so must be good

Lovely view from front bay window,beautiful area,friendly locals,lots of pretty little walks with some outstanding viewpoints really close by.

A lovely ground floor apartment in a stunning location.

Fitted out to a high standard, well equipped, clean, comfortable & larger than expected. Beautiful walks from the front door and a dog friendly beach opposite a huge bonus. Licensed restaurant & takeaway a few minutes walk was perfect. Free parking close by every day, would love to return!

Property not suitable for disability if you've got to park your car 1/2 mile down the road in a car park where you have to pay but when you got a drive at the Cottage but not allowed to use it the kitchen was on fire and the only access is out the living room Windows it would be handy if it had the catch on it and it would be handy if it had cleaning stuff there i.

e mop broom so you could clean up every day curtain hanging down the shower really needs a door on because every time you have a shower it comes out on the floor and knees another mat because every time you step it in the shower you're slip up apart from that nice holiday cottage

Perfectly located for our Portmeirion visit and as a bike riding base.

Stunning sea views from the breakfast table, nice peaceful location away from the bustle of Portmadog but within walking distance of their amenities. Extremely clean and though slightly tired in places this did not detract from the charm. No issues parking, we always got on the road outside. The resident neighbours next door are lovely! Would have given 5 stars without a thought had it not been for the noise from guests up stairs, not their fault but we could hear every step and flush from the bathroom. Literally the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic property. We would stay again and recommend to friends.

Great accommodation in a great location - parking not a problem even over half term holiday.

Cottage was nice ,parking not very good could do with a light outside the kitchen, something you can't do anything about is it's very noisy when someone is upstairs,

There was lovely view of the sea from the living room window, it was absolutely beautiful. We really loved our stay.
