Min Y Mor

Lovely location.

Peaceful and good distance from many North Wales locations to visit. Cottage was generally clean but just a little tired. The kitchen facilities were adequate but could really do with a bit of modernising. The hot tap in the kitchen is extremely low pressure and takes a while to fill the bowl. We also bought new towels as the ones left were not of good quality. The owners were lovely and helpful when the TV remote stopped working. We had a lovely time but just a few little things that would really improve the overall stay.

Absolutely loved it at Min Y Mor.

The place had amazing views and was very quiet although there were other cottages on site. Being around the corner made it so private. There was a footpath just outside the door so it was ideal for our dog. Coupled with the lovely weather that we had all week I really didnt want to come home. Shall definitely return,

It would be good to have a small rotary line for wet clothes, towels? Other than that fantastic

Perfect for my needs ,situated in a very quiet spot , only a short drive to Criccieth or Pwllheli with shops and beaches .

Loved the stable door which allowed the breeze to keep us cool through the heatwave .Outside fantastic views of the coast and inside everything you need to self cater , also a very comfortable bed . There are properties close by but I only saw two people the whole week . I would not hesitate to book again .

Lovely cottage with a super patio providing sea views.

Perfect for what we wanted. Only downsides for me were that I didn't find the sofa or bed terrifically comfortable, but I do understand that both these things are very personal and individual tastes, and it would be impossible to find something to suit everyone perfectly. I didn't cook so can't speak for the kitchen or any equipment provided. we would definitely return for another short break. Lovely area, and easy to get to lots of places.

Easy to find based on owner's instructions.

Just put the writers' centre on google maps, keep left as you see it (right is their parking) and go all the way to the end. the place has nice views all the way to the sea. it's good if you have a dog, long driveway and very quite village at the bottom, so it's good for walks. There's a pub (no food) and a shop with basic stuff in the village, literally 7-8 minute walk. criccieth town centre is 40 min walk away or 5 min drive. more pubs, shops, petrol etc there (no supermarket). supermarket 13 min away drive asda or 20 min away in porthmadog (more there). so location is good, surrounded by peace and green. property has one bedroom, clean, wardrobes, and open space living/kitchen with TV, sofa and armchair. kitchen is well equipped with most things you need. you park right in front. electric radiators if it gets cold and fireplace. comfy bed, sofa is for 2 people, so not massive, but ok. dining area in the open space too. traditionally decorated, so it has a warm vibe. nice forest walk just out the driveway (go down towards village and on ur right). footpath right in front of the house too, but we didn't use it. our dog likes wide open beaches, so we drove to porthmadog for black stone sands, it was our favorite. there are closer beaches too, including in criccieth or closer. overall this is a very good place if you're looking for tranquility, green and peace. i think it's even better in the summertime, so we're planning to come back at some point. we've been in november to avoid fireworks and bonfires, our dog has a weak heart and is afraid of them. so it was perfect for what we needed. we met the owner once, a very nice lady. there are about 4-5 cottages in the area around this writers' centre, guess they live in one of them, not sure. we didn't see many people around, probably 4-5 people over a week. it's really quiet

Had a lovely couple of days at Min y Mor.

Great views from outside seating area. Couple of inches off the hedge would have made veiw even better. If you were staying more than a couple of days a bigger fridge would be great. That aside great little relaxing retreat.

We found the holiday property to be just as described.

We met Sally who was very obliging. We were concerned in case our dog's barking annoyed anyone, however, the property is detached and although other cottages are close by, ours was quite private. Lovely river walk and would have loved to follow the coastal path but we didn't this time as the weather was so very hot - perhaps next time! Particularly enjoyed the view of the sea and I enjoyed sitting on the raised patio reading. Very handy forl visiting local towns without having to travel too far.

Fabulous uninterrupted sea views from cottage - moonlight sparkling on the sea absolutely magical.

Access to beach from cottage via public pathway. Clean cosy cottage which had everything my dog and I needed. (Photos don’t do it justice). Nicely tucked away behind Ty Newydd Writing Centre (the last home of Prime Minister David Lloyd George). Hosts friendly and welcoming.Would happily stay at Min Y Mor again.

This was the second time we’ve stayed at Min y Mor and we can’t fault it.

We’ll definitely be back

Maybe better heating in the main room for cold nights, but that is really the only thing I could think.

Everything else was perfect for week away.

We enjoyed our stay and everything was fine, but dated.

Having said that, we believe the property has very recently changed ownership and we hope that an updating of the facilities is on the agenda in the near future. We would stay there again as the scenery is stunning and the surrounding area beautiful. It was a good base especially with the dog.

Clean cottage.

Very basic interior for the price we paid but it was bank holiday weekend so maybe this was reflected in the price. Lovely area and great walks for the dog. Needs a blind on window inbetween bedroom and kitchen as people from other cottages walked passed back of house to garden. Views from cottage are great and picnic bench outside was fabulous to have a drink in the evening at and look at the views

Good accommodation , nice views to sea , would return when revisiting area.

Lovely location, great view, handy for village amenities, museum and local walks including a beach and river.

Very good for couple with a dog. We had a great time here! The price was very reasonable, however there's evidence of damp in the property and double glazing had a bit of condensation. Hot water to kitchen was a dribble, although bathroom was fine. The bedroom would really, really benefit from blackout blinds/curtains, we ended up putting towels over them...

Great long weekend break.

Splendid sea views, quiet and very dark at night.

Clean, warm and lots of hot water. Good wifi and mobile signal. Kitchen equipment basic but adequate. I didn't meet the owners but had a friendly and helpful correspondence by text. Phone signal and mobile connection intermittent in the surrounding area - don't rely on Google Maps!

Two things, The directions to Min y Mor need to state that it is part of Tynewydd and Tynewydd which is on the gate is on the way in.

Then note that you need to follow the hewk round to the left until you reach the end. And secondly you can note that there is parking for Min y Mor which is opposite the cottage. We got back one night and there were 4 vehicles parked in our parking space and one of those in front of the door! Apart from that quite a pleasant place

Loved my stay at Min y Mor cottage.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, owners are very helpful and welcoming.

Min y Mor is in a lovely location with beautiful views.

beautifully quiet but in easy reach of Criccieth. It provided all the basics we needed and the owners could not have been more helpful.
