Ocean View Apartment

We have been to this apartment many times over the last three years.

This year only it will be four times by the end of the 2026! It’s the perfect position too relax if you are not so mobile just sitting relaxing and people watching as they walk run and enjoy the sand as beach from the balcony and through the large picture windows. The apartment is fitted out with lovely furnishings and is always fresh and clean when entering at the start of your holiday. Games books magazines and a good selection of films on cd if it’s a rainy day! Rhos on Sea a lovely seaside place to visit .

everything is wonderful here , this was our 3rd visit this year and it never disappoints.

Things were a bit more difficult for me this visit as i have become oxygen dependant but there were no issues with the property, hope to spend many more short breaks there as it it nice and quiet round the area.

An excellent apartment with stunning views, it had everything we needed and the whole flat was very clean.

Underground off street parking was also handy.

This property is fabulous, everything you could possibly need is there and of course the views are unrivalled, wish we could stay every month, even if the weather is rubbish just sit and look out to sea it always cheers me up.

Our 4th or 5th visit to Ocean view but with a three year gap since our last.

The appartment was, as per the first our visit well maintained and, to be honest, perfect. Love this property it is our favourite place to stay for all round enjoyment. We are now, both disabled. I am mostly in a wheel chair after spinal surgery and my partner had an eye removed last year and the other eye is partially sighted. We are a right pair! Lol. Access to the appartment could not be easier, although the disabled unloading space was occupied by a brown car, no badge? and the other space conned off, we moved the cone! Thank you the residents who helped us into the apartment xx. Great welcome ! I am learning to walk again with a body harness and crutches but need my chair ninety percent of the time. The appartment has all level access and you enter at the rear of the property, no ramps, woohoo The entrance hall has a lovely wide access, plenty of room to leave chair coats etc. Carpark is below the appartment with a great lift, clean and pristine. My disabled scooter was parked by the chain link electric opening garage door along side others. There is a super lift, extra clean and easy access I used the bedroom with en suit shower please note there is a substantial lip to get into the shower but lots of room for my travel shower stool. Bed was good and there is a chair in the bedroom with good back support. Bedside lights have cable switches so you can position the cable to easy reach on and off. Views from both bedroom windows look out the side with excellent clear view even laying down of Rhos harbour complete with boats. The living area has very large windows which open inwards to reveal a Juliet balcony with amazing view and lovely sea air. Overhead lighting is very good and a table lamp for mood lighting. The tables in the room are glass, we were amazed how that helped my partner clearly see where things were however, as usual the odd accident happened which were easy to wipe up off glass. Dinning room chairs are comfortable and easy to get on and off. There are lots of cushions for seating comfort overhead lights are excellent. The balcony is not wheel chair friendly with a downward step but remember the main windows open with a Juliet balcony outdoor furniture is first class and always ready to use no moving required. I used crutches with help from my partner to go out see sunsets. The kitchen has all you need, worktop height is high but I used my shower stool it worked very well. I think most disabled guests know they need a stool for shower and kitchen. There is an excellent washing machine with built in dryer for clothing spills. Floor coverings are flat easy to negotiate no lips or loose edges. Our second stay at Ocean View.

We returned because of the lovely sea view and the high standard of accommodation and we were not disappointed this time as accommodation still of a high standard. Nice touch of welcome bottle of wine Steps at front of property but level access at back and lift from underground car park Parking a bit tight if you have a large car Would happily return and recommend to family and friends

Another most enjoyable and relaxing week at Ocean View, our seventh stay in this lovely, well-equipped apartment with great views along the coast.

An ideal base for exploring North Wales.

This is a fantastic property with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, would have preferred more towels but that's the only negative.

We've been here before, always enjoy the comfort and location and will come back when we can.

The apartment was a delight to stay in.

It was a lovely touch leaving wine and milk. Very clean, had everything you could want for your stay. The bed was super comfortable, had the best night's sleep. The views are amazing. The train station only half mile away, so we had a couple of day trips on the train. Pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

My mum and I stayed for 3 nights/4 days.

My mum at 76 found the apartment ideal. Especially, the wide doorframes and large master bedroom with ensuite. We didn't use the shower but the bath was great. The sofa was so comfortable too and not too low for mum. Found the instructions excellent how to enter the building/apartment/garage. You did need to give the outside door quite a push to open once you'd put the code in. I think I was expecting it to sort of click, which it didn't. But didn't want force it either. The apartment was exactly like the photos. Excellent sea views and to people watch from inside the apartment and on the balcony. Loved the balcony we were only out for an hour as the weather was against us. Everything was there for you to use, washing liquid, hand soap, loo rolls, dishwasher tablets. Few miniature toiletries. I would have liked some cleaner to wipe down the bathrooms as I do like to leave it as we found it. The wine and milk were a lovely touch too. We will be booking again and again. Owners were responsive to any queries too. I couldn't find a light switch for the balcony and contacted Jill to check there wasn't one. As I didn't want waste lighting unnecessarily. Thanks for a great mini break.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Apartment is lovely and views are amazing. Only one small niggle was the lack of a shelf in shower cubicle for shampoo etc. As we are elderly it was difficult to bend down to pick these up off the floor . We have booked again and hope this request coukd be acknowledged and resolved Kind regards Christine Worgan

Having stayed here before we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed.

Comfortable, quiet, relaxing, so much to do and a fantastic place to see in the New Year. We hope to be able to visit again soon

Lovely appartment.

Ocean View is beautifully situated overlooking the sea and promenade.

We enjoyed the view very much. The flat was nicely furnished and the beds were comfy, but there were a few issues that let it down and prevented me from giving it full marks. Despite being superficiality clean, a few items need urgent attention. As another visitor has previously reported, there is an unpleasant smell in the en suite bedroom, especially when the window is closed. We did wonder if the source is in the shower cubicle. The water is very slow to drain and the build up during showering is causing the formation of an unpleasant brown sludge around the edges of the cubicle, especially at the end where the drain is. I suspect bacteria is growing here and it made us feel uneasy about using the shower. The drain needs to be unblocked and the edges of the cubicle scrubbed with diluted bleach to clean them. The other main issue we found was that the oven is filthy. The first time I turned it on the flat was filled with the stench of rancid hot fat. I discovered that the grill pan was full of left over fat from a previous guest. And whilst I acknowledge that for a guest to leave it in that state is completely unacceptable, it should have been checked and the oven itself is in desperate need of a good clean. I know the weekly cleaner won’t have time to do this, but there are companies who will clean an oven to look almost like new in a couple of hours and there is time for this to be done on a change over day. On a less urgent note, the freezer compartment in the fridge needs defrosting. Having read previous comments about the flat being spotless and the owners’ comments about their high standards, it was disappointing to find the flat was not as clean as we had expected. However, if I was reassured that the problems I’ve highlighted had been addressed and not simply denied, as seems to have happened in the past with the issue of the bad smell, then I would consider booking Ocean View again if only for the glorious view.

A warm, welcoming apartment in a quiet block with excellent facillities.

We found the owner extremely kind and helpful. Lovely views along the beach from this great seafront position. Amazing sunrises enjoyed with a coffee on the balcony. Ideally situated for exploring North Wales by car and for a slow stroll to restaurants or pubs in Rhos (20 mins) or Conway (15 mins) for a meal. There's also The Toad bistro pub less than five minutes away and supermarkets within walking distance too.

Fantastic stay at ocean view.

. The apartment was lovely, clean and with everything we needed. Personally I would prefer firmer pillows and definitely larger bath towels (being a larger lady), but we have stayed several times now and Ocean View never disappoints. Its delightful to open the door to the juliet balcony and watch/listen to the sound of the sea.

The apartment was brilliant, Spotless and the view exceptional.

There was an excellent pub restaurant a few doors up called The Toad ! Plenty off places to visit round the area . Snowdon railway not far, we had a great day at the summit. Hopefully we will return to Ros on sea . Ray and Stella.

Our holiday at apt 7 was very much enjoyable.

The views from the windows and balcony were so lovely. Everything provided for in the apartment to make it feel like home. We were so pleased with the apartment we have booked it again for September. The weather could have been a bit sunnier but hey ho it did stay dry and did not stop us going out and sight seeing.

What can I say about the apartment?

It has all been said! All I can say is ‘Perfect in every way’. A fantastic well maintained,clean property.Well done to your cleaner. We felt so relaxed after our holiday there. Hopefully we will return at some time. Thank you for a PERFECT stay!

The third consecutive visit to Ocean View and the high standard of accommodation has remained constant throughout our visits.

In our view this must be one of the best locations in Rhos on Sea / Colwyn Bay as you look out over the clean sands, watching the world go by and in the distance after the now completed excellent promenade is Rhos on Sea, within walking distance for most people. We have a motorised mobility scooter in the boot of the car and when taken out to use on the length of the promenade it is no problem from Ocean View. As this is our fourth visit to this apartment block, again we are of the opinion that this is the apartment to reserve. We have visited most places locally before, so this time it was a change just to sit looking out of the windows and relaxing.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

The property was clean, comfortable, warm, furnished to a high standard and well maintained. There was a welcome bottle of milk and wine as well as a selection of teas. The sea view from the apartment is spectacular and we enjoyed watching the changing colours of the sea. There is a pub almost next door serving food and it is an easy flat walk along the prom to Rhos on Sea. We hope to return and have already recommended it to friends

Very conveniently located to explore the area, Llandudno, Snowdonia , Cheshire oaks , Liverpool were all visited during our stay.

Lovely views along the promenade overlooking the sea, sit on the sofa in lounge or on the balcony . Washer dryer , Tumble dryer , small fridge with small ice box , fan oven with hob . Ensuite in main bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over in the hallway. Nice and cosy apartment and everything you need for a lovely stay, which was our 2nd . The apartment isn't advertised as a suitable place for people with disabilities but as our Daughter is paralysed left side it worked for us although I would state the beds are rather high and she found getting in a little bit of a challenge as she's limited in movement . Disabled space at rear of the building but it's never vacant so luckily the car space in the secure under ground car park was perfect as the lift is accessible to all floors. I will add the spaces are difficult to negotiate with a larger car due to limited turning space which I could see being a problem for a not so confident driver. As stated it's ideal for people with limited functions it would be nice and ideal if a shower chair could be stored in the apartment so people don't have to bring one along . Overall such a lovely place to stay , beautiful area, very clean and if you visit Llandudno I recommended eating at Harvey's American bar and grill .

Best stay ever.

The equipment in the property was so good. Stylish decoration, And the views were to die for, loved walking along the sandy beach to cafés, restaurant and the pub. We didn’t want to leave. The hosts were super helpful too. Much appreciated. Best Lucy.

This apartment is beautiful, very comfortable, very clean & everything is of a high standard.

Everything you could possibly need is provided even down to the wide choice of tea bags! Beds really comfortable, beautiful bathrooms with lots of little extras included, no need to take your own shower gels, shampoo etc! We came for a quiet, peaceful week and enjoyed every minute in Rhos. The views from apartment are lovely. Nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go buy. No worries about parking with the underground car park. Everything was perfect and would definitely consider staying here again.

A pleasant relaxing second stay, which was not spoilt by the weather as the views from the windows allows you to watch the world go by.

Amazing view, stylish apartment with the convenience of underground car park. Close to a good range of cafes and restaurants with a lovely sandy beach.

We have stayed at Ocean View many times now it is a lovely apartment.

There was someone hogging the blue badge parking space at the back of the building but we managed to work round this. Not sure if the rules are different on private property? Our main issue was the mattress in the ensuite bedroom needs replacing it is very uncomfortable to sleep on and there is an unpleasant smell in that room the cause of which I couldn't pin down. I have emailed the owner about this separately as it needs sorting. Otherwise this is a good holiday base, great views and a newly improved beach/prom that are fabulous. Even if your not a beach fan you can walk (or use a scooter if you have mobility problems) for miles, it's lovely.

The apartment is beautiful, but it was very difficult to access the building from the front, had to phone sykes on how to get in.

We've never been disappointed with any of the properties we have chosen. However this was the first time my wife was in tears as we left. She loved it so much.

We had a great stay.

We had one issue which the property owner resolved very quickly and efficiently. We loved the underground car parking and fantastic views from the apartment.

A wonderful apartment, very modern, great layout, worked perfectly for us.

We took my 92 year old mother for a week away. The car park under the building worked well with a lift, no problems with wheelchair access. Kept the car cool during the recent heatwave. The 2 sets of patio doors gave us lovley views & air flowing through in the heat. Great position in Rhos on Sea will definitely be back.

Lovely comfy and clean apartment.

I am unsteady on my feet and loved having the disabled access through the back door. One thing which would have made my stay better would have been to have a grab handle in the shower and a longer mat on the shower floor. I didn’t feel safe in the shower and the flooring was slippy. Otherwise everything was fine.

We loved our stay at this apartment.

It was brilliantly located, the view from the living room was fantastic and there was lots to do in the area and plenty of restaurants right on the door step but it was also a fantastic base to explore further afield. It was very comfortable and well equipped and we would definitely make a return visit.

We had another great week at this lovely apartment.

It is well equipped and comfortable with fab views of the sea. Access and parking are very good should you have any mobility problems. We had a bit of an issue with someone staying in the disabled bay at the rear all week, but couldn't do anything about it so worked round it. We understood that bay should be used as a short term to unload etc, not as a permanent parking spot but not sure everyone respects that. Otherwise we had a great week and will return, many thanks.

Everything was lovely, place to stay, views.

We had a great week in this well positioned apartment with all home comforts provided.

The sea views were fabulous. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We couldn't fault it and would definitely recommend it. It was handy to walk to the shops in Colwyn Bay and also the railway station which we used a couple of times to travel by train as an alternative to always being in the car.

We think this was at least our 7th stay at Ocean View in 5 years?

I am disabled and for guests who have mobility issues there is a disabled space at the backdoor to unpack, all level access. The communal corridor is wide and always beautifully maintained. The car park space is dug-out under the flat with remote controlled electric doors so no need to get out to unlock, a very smart lift goes up to the ground floor from the carpark to outside the flat. I happily move around no steps, please note there is a lip on the shower however, its a double solid based shower with movable shower head and plenty of room for my shower seat, not many lets have a double shower and large bathrooms as Ocean View, hot water is unlimited. Apartment is warm and if you are like me taking meds that make me hot and cold at the blink of an eye easy to regulate tempreatures. With sea views from every window this is an immaculate, well maintained, luxury apartment in a great location with great access and security provision for me. We have found, year on year, all wear and tear is not only just corrected but new items are improvements on old. The new TV system is lovely and stylish large glass table more practical, wipe clean and fitting for four people with plenty of leg room under for me. Owners are easy to contact and a delight. Nearest Electric Vehicle rapid charging point is on the promenade.

We had a lovely stay at this excellent apartment.

Our only issue was we were given the wrong access codes for the building, A phone call through to Sykes's rectified this and we were able then to get access. This was our only problem everything else was excellent.

Stunning apartment , views are amazing and you can just sit watching the world go by.

Everything you need from a washerdryer to a dishwasher, wine , milk and flowers left for our arrival, bathroom toiletries , hairdryers and straighteners. TV in both bedrooms . Perfect apartment for us as our daughter has reduced mobility, disabled parking at the rear door or a lift from the car park, no access issues at all, shower is big enough to place a folding shower stool in. Overall a very comfortable apartment , stunning area locally and surrounding. Highly recommended

A fantastic location overlooking the bay you can see for miles in both directions, just great to sit on the really comfortable sofa watching the world go by.

The apartment is really well appointed, the shower in the ensuite is amazing, towels and bedding are of the highest quality.

The owner had left a bittle of wine as a welcome gift. Rhos was a charming old fashioned resort and a good base for exploring the area.

Lovely clean apartment in a brilliant location.

We have been visiting this apartment since 2017 about once or twice a year.

The apartment is always maintained in a "new" like condition, walls are never marked and most important everything works. I am disabled and access is all on one level from the rear entrance or use the rather flash Otis lift from the secure basement carpark. Over the years we have thought no improvements were possible if you start at such a high standard but new owners have added more personal touches, we had one wee question for the owners and they are easy to contact and solved immediately, to be honest it was a daft question lol. I am aware that I am probably shooting myself in the foot with this review as its already been a challenge over the years getting weeks here. There is one window behind the settee with no sea view all other doors and windows have sea views, sunrises are beautiful. There are no "noisy or nosy" neighbours and the communal area's are spotless, the new promenade just gets better and better and not a scrap of litter. Locally, in Rhos, we like the whole food shop for bread and the little wholesome bakery next door for our picnic snacks. Fish and chips in Rhos are exceptional and, during these strange lockdown times, remember even ASDA does a scallop en croute, side, dessert and wine for £10. We had a lovely break!
