    “Stunning views and location.”

We drove 528 miles for our stay and certainly did not expect perfect but what we did expect was clean. How shocked we were. Filthy windows inside, Masses of cobwebs everywhere, heavily stained sofas, sticky and dirty kitchen units, missing cupboard doors, dirty bathrooms with black mould on the shower screen. A mass of cobwebs, rubbish and spiders behind all of the bedroom units. A hole in our ensuite bathroom wall, damp throughout the property with peeling paint littering the floors. Our ...

Our bathroom door had to be forced open as it had swelled.so much The utility room is not fit for purpose as its clearly just a dirty storage unit. The front door leaks water as the panels have rotted. The property has no wifi at all which was hugely frustrating as the phone signal is quite poor in that area. It's so sad as this property could be wonderful. It requires a thorough deep clean throughout and some basic maintenance to bring it up to what could be a very good standard. The owner was quite polite prior to our visit and extremely helpful during our last night power cut, not his fault. I just wonder if he is aware of how poor this property actually is.

Ymwlch Bach Cottages

Criccieth 3 miles. These fantastic holiday homes are in a lovely rural location on a 96 acre working farm, three miles from Criccieth. There are two delightful, late 19th century stone barn conversions, both successfully converted to combine original character with modern décor and furnishings, including woodburning stoves. The traditional Victorian farmhouse has been cleverly split in two, and one half has been carefully converted to create self-contained, well-equipped accommodation; a welcoming mix of antique furnishings and modern fixtures and fittings. All the properties offer panoramic views of Snowdonia National Park and are in a central position for walking, cycling (the National Cycle Route is within 60 yards of the cottages), watersports or fishing. There is also easy access to wonderful beaches at nearby Criccieth, Morfa Bychan and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula. Enjoy medieval castles, the mountain railway, National Trust properties, lakes and waterfalls. Pwllheli, just 12 miles away, is home to the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Events Centre, hosting events and exhibitions throughout the year. Three lovely properties set amidst stunning mountainous scenery!

About the location

CRICCIETH

Porthmadog 5 miles; Portmeirion 8 miles; Abersoch 15 miles.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
