    We’ve had the most wonderful family holiday at Beudy Pwll Pridd and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Nestled in the stunning Berwyn Mountains, the cottage enjoys breathtaking views across rolling fields and hills that are truly unforgettable.     We’ve had the most wonderful family holiday at Beudy Pwll Pridd and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Nestled in the stunning Berwyn Mountains, the cottage enjoys breathtaking views across rolling fields and hills that are truly unforgettable. Waking up each morning to such beautiful scenery was a real highlight of our trip. Set on a family-run working farm, the cottage offers a peaceful and authentic countryside experience. We loved being surrounded by grazing sheep and cows, and the tranquillity of the farm made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hot tub was a particular favourite, allowing us to soak in the spectacular surroundings after a day of exploring. Inside, the cottage is beautifully presented, immaculately maintained, and thoughtfully equipped for families. It feels both luxurious and homely, with every detail carefully considered. Sian and Matthew have clearly put a great deal of care into creating such a welcoming space, providing everything from cooking essentials like olive oil to complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Communication with Sian was excellent throughout our stay—friendly, prompt, and always helpful. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. A particularly lovely surprise was the generous welcome basket waiting for us on arrival, filled with delicious treats that made us feel at home straight away. We would wholeheartedly recommend Beudy Pwll Pridd to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape and would love to return in the future.

LLANGOLLEN

Ruthin 15 miles; Chester 25 miles.

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’. Offa’s Dyke Path passes nearby and boasts pleasant walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills, plus the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, is 5 miles away, and Snowdonia is less than an hour’s drive.
