Before exploring this unique abode, be sure to make use of the fantastic utility room, the perfect place to kick off your walking boots after a day exploring the surrounding countryside, with access to a handy double walk-in shower room.

As you walk along the hallway, retaining a wealth of its original features, arrive at an attractive lounge; a stunning space that opens up to the first floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive, vaulted ceiling.

Spend your evenings snuggled up in front of the woodburning stove accompanied by your loved ones, or escape reality and enjoy a family film night on the Smart TV.

The ground floor is also home to four spacious bedrooms where you can take your pick from two king-size rooms, one of which boasts an attractive en-suite shower room and dressing area, and one super-king size room, or a twin room housing two double beds; all of which provide the ideal space to relax and unwind in preparation for another day's adventure.

After a day hiking in the mountains or cycling through enchanting forests, choose to indulge with a long soak in the bath or invigorating rinse in the walk-in shower in the family bathroom, which services all four bedrooms.

As you walk upstairs, you’ll have a chance to admire the incredible vaulted ceiling and bright, airy atmosphere that the open-plan living space creates, not forgetting the character-filled balcony overlooking the ground-floor lounge.

Find a cloakroom up here for your convenience, tucked behind the bookshelves of the games room, boasting stained glass windows adding even more character to this one-of-a-kind property.

Back downstairs, find a charming, enclosed terrace garden, accessed through the patio doors leading from the lounge, perfect for enjoying in the summer months accompanied by an evening glass of wine or perhaps a spot of alfresco dining together with your loved ones.

First impressions the chapel looked lovely from the outside, but once entering the property we were disappointed by the standard of cleanliness.

Considering we messaged the owner before our stay regarding the latest review of bad smells and cleaning issues, to which we were advised there was nothing to be concerned about, we were very disappointed to what we found. Left over food under the dining table, dirty sauce stains on top of the table where it hadn't been wiped, dirty plates and utensils left in cupboards, bedside tables have clearly not seen a duster in quite some time, rubbish from previous guests left under beds and under benches etc, toilet brushes were extremely dirty and could do with an upgrade, only 1 bed had a mattress protector which for a holiday home/rental is not very hygienic for the amount of guests staying there, the main front bedrooms matress is not a matress and is just foam, lots of dust and cobwebs found on low usable areas, the floors left your socks/feet dirty where they clearly haven't been washed in quite some time, mould on the ceiling and walls in the ensuite shower room as there is no extractor fan and the smell that you get from that toilet after a few days is not pleasant. Considering this property has a 4.3 star rating we were left extremely disappointed as the standards we encountered were not up to this level. We have stayed in many holiday homes/rentals, some rated lower than this, and have never encountered issues like these. We understand its a chapel and there will be some dust/cobwebs on high levels but there is no excuse for the issues we encountered.

First impressions of the property when we first arrived was overwhelming beautiful but that impression didn’t last long.

Once the door was opened major concerns were flagged up. The cleanliness of the property was nonexistent. Dead insects on the instead of blinds, dust everywhere, dead insects on windowsills which had been there for some time the carpet on the upstairs living area should be removed it was filthy and heavily stained , dirty tissues and a half eaten packet of sweets found down the side of the sofa. The fixtures in the property also need attention. Light fittings need fixing as some don’t work and some are missing. Door to the ensuite bathroom didn’t close properly which caused a issue sleeping there as the smell that was coming from there was just awful as well as the boot room where the washer is the smell was the same awful. I think they is a problem with the sewage. It is such a shame to see such a gorgeous property with a lot of history with in it just to be left in that state.

Stunning conversion of a fine building.

perfect for our needs and generously equipped. 2 major comments. Main downstairs shower thermostatic control is broken and runs only at cool-lukewarm so 3 of us had to use the utility shower, which is fine but this bathroom has no mirror or lock on the door. A bigger issue is the very unpleasant staining on the front left bedroom mattress. It's not nice at all to strip the bed and see something that shocking that you have been sleeping on for a week!
