“The apartments were ok.”
The chairs were uncomfortable, the bedrooms extremely cold and the kitchen very small, so really only one of you could be in there and it was difficult to de-stack the dishwasher. The TV was ok, but a smart TV would be better, as programs available were very limited. But the worst thing by far was the noise levels. You could hear everything from the people upstairs, It sounded like a herd of wildebeest was up there, people stomping about, a child running around, the dog barking, water running, conversations. This was at all hours, 6.45 am on the first morning, 1 am on other days. People would stand outside your bedroom window having conversations, Then the next door neighbour started to clear their garden, so power tools all the rest of the time. Finally, through lack of sleep, we gave up and came home early. Such a shame, the apartments are in a convenient position and the area is very nice. We'd return but to different accommodation, probably a cottage with very thick walls.
Thank you for your feedback. Most of your feedback ,we have no control over, however, you state the bedrooms were cold, we have central heating throughout the apartment and an electric fire in the lounge. The kitchen is small but it is stated as such in the Sykes information.
Regarding the noise, we have no control ,if the next door neighbour wishes to do gardening work, while you are staying and surely ,in the day, you go out to see the local sites, mountains, beaches etc.
If the noise from the above accommodation was loud, did you knock on their door and explain and ask them to be quiet after a certain time.
The accommodation is advertised as an apartment. if you want the quietness of a detached cottage, then book that , not an apartment which is much cheaper.
