Lovely accommodation and fantastic hosts!

The cottage was in an ideal location, nestled in the quiet countryside surrounded by the owners lovely gardens that we could enjoy, yet it was well placed to explore the island and in easy reach of shops and beaches. The hot tub was great too. Fiona and Peter were really helpful but not intrusive. A very relaxing holiday, will definitely be returning.

We really enjoyed are stay at this wonderful cottage in this very peaceful location .

And the owners Fiona and Peter who we met were so helpful if we needed anything they were there to help .we will be booking again because we had such a great experience there.

Owners extremely helpful with any information we needed I would only mention if you are a shower person like us and we are elderly the bath to stand in was slippery without or with mat and the attachment was not very accurate for staying hot this was very disappointing and stairs are steep they are no problem for able people despite this the gardens and area are beautiful for a relaxing holiday Thankyou to owners for giving good advise

Quaint spacious cottage with everything you need and more.

It is like home from home. The host Fiona could not have been more helpful. Fantastic lawned area for our pooch to exercise. Great location for exploring. Don’t hesitate, book it.

Carreg Rhys is perfect.

We return year after year as it is very comfortable, has everything we need and is in the centre of the island to explore. Nearby is Newborough Forest, the fantastic beach and the stunning Llandwynd headland - a place we got engaged a few years ago. And then back to the wonderful hot tub!

A gem of a cottage in beautiful quiet surroundings, where nature is in abundance, along with easy access to several Bird Reserves.

We had a lovely time at Carreg Rhys, the property and its surroundings were so peaceful and relaxing.

We found a lovely gem of a beach at Aberffraw which is only about 10 minutes away that was suggested to us by Fiona, they were wonderful hosts, if there was anything we needed then they dealt with it with such efficiency and warmth it was wonderful see. Our Bailey

A real home from home gem - a quiet rural location with parking, comfy bed, lovely sitting room with views over the gardens and fields, great kitchen with every kitchen implement you could need provided, nice size bathroom with free standing bath and the icing on the cake was the hot tub which we took a dip in every day.

Only thing for us was no shower curtain around the bath. We didn’t get to meet Fiona & Peter in person but they kept in touch throughout the week. We had a really relaxing week in the cottage and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place away from a busy life. Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit.

The cottage was comfortable, cosy and so peaceful.

We cooked most days, there were plenty of pots, pans and dishes to meet our needs. The hot tub was amazing, so relaxing after a busy day. Our dog loved chasing her ball in the big garden and on the lovely beaches that we visited. A great week.

It's location is great for exploring the island in all directions! Fiona and Peter are very warm and welcoming hosts and we were encouraged to make use of the various outside areas beyond the cottage's little courtyard garden. We would heartily recommend a holiday here!

Well equipped and nicely furnished place to stay in a lovely tranquil setting.

We particularly enjoyed there being a bath - something that is becoming increasingly rare in smaller holiday lets.

The cottage was furnished to a very high level and full of welcoming touches, such as fresh flowers, wine, biscuits and a table beautifully laid for dinner.

It was also lovely to see such optimism from Fiona about her visitors' care of her home and contents - no missing ornaments finding new homes! Definitely a little gem to be remembered. Judging from the comments in thank you cards for Fiona previous guests have experienced her kindness, far beyond the norm, which speaks volumes.

Everything we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay. Owners were great and although the property is adjacent to their home, they were no way intrusive at all so we still felt we had our privacy. Lovely grounds and great to see red squirrels in the garden.

Very comfortable. Loved hot tub. Missed shower as I do struggle with baths. Hosts were brilliant. Property well placed for exploring just have to beware of speeding tractors along the narrow lanes.

Fabulous stay once again, the owners Fiona and Peter are so helpful, they left a lovely bottle of fizz and some cookie along with rose petals scattered for us as this was our honeymoon.

This was our second visit to this cottage we love it here.

The owners are so kind and nothing is too much trouble,It's just so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the log burner and the hot tub after i cooked a lovely meal in the well equipped kitchen. the nearby shops have everything you need lots of places to visit, our favourites are Beaumaris, Rhosneigr, plas newydd house. we brought our dog so many places to walk we all had a great week. Next time we will come in the summer and see what Anglesey looks like then.

The property was amazing, clean and tidy.

Had everything you needed, just had to take own towels and obviously own food. (Fridge freezer was available in property.) Great place, to have a get away from it all holiday, lovely and quiet, beautiful area. Fiona the host, was lovely, friendly and more than happy to help with anything. Would definitely recommend for a break.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful and tranquil location.

It is ideally situated for the cycle routes to Newborough beach and forest and to Cefni Reservoir. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

The owners were amazing and have thought of everything, friendly, willingly to help and interested in ensuring your stay was comfortable. Extremely dog friendly allowing use of the garden for exercise. The peace, quiet tranquil of the surroundings along with a homely cottage, hot tub and open fire meant we fully unwound and absorbed the relaxation we required.

We found the owners to be friendly and helpful.

We felt the pictures on the website do not reflect the way we found the cottage to be the Inside is very dark unless the lights are all on, no towels provided unlike what was stated on booking, owner did inform us the day before, difficult to dry damp towels especially after hot tub use, pictures show large towel rack in bathroom this was not there. Bedroom carpet was in need of a shampoo or replacement. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque, unfortunately weather didn't allow us much use of the outside space. Overall we feel it is in need of a freshen up throughout.

We had a lovely 2 night stay.

The property was immaculate, clean and very welcoming. Hosts great. We will definitely return for longer.

This is a cosy cottage with a well equipped kitchen.

The bed was very comfortable and the quilt warm with plenty of pillows and cushions. We found the shower in the roll-top bath good but it was difficult to prevent water from going onto the floor. The loo leaked at the back occasionallly when flushed. This could no doubt be rectified with an adjustment to the pipe from the tank. Overall we would definitely recommend this property.

We have just got home from a beautiful stay here.

It's a beautiful place with many places to visit nearby. The cottage was lovely we didn't want to come home. We will be booking again soon.

After a very long journey the hot tub was very welcome and I don’t usually like them ! Fiona was a very kind and welcoming host and went above and beyond with her warm hospitality. The house was in a beautiful setting and our dog loved it too.

We had an absolutely beautiful stay, we didnt want to leave.

The pictures on the website just really don't show the true beauty of this lovely cottage and gardens. In such a great location for exploring Anglesey also. The owners, Fiona and Peter were lovely and so accommodating checking if everything was ok for us. Lovely little touches such as milk in the fridge and wine on the table on our arrival. Could not fault our stay one bit and cannot wait to return one day.

A cosy and comfortable cottage that turned out to be the perfect place to stay for our Christmas holiday.

The owners were helpful, welcoming - & thoughtful. We appreciated the effort they had made in putting up Christmas decorations and providing gifts of wine and chocolates.

Lovely views, fab hot tub, a place to escape the world and relax

Lovely clean, secluded and comfortable cottage.

The stove kept us warm and cosy in the evenings. Would have preferred a shower enclosure to the telephone-bath type. (Getting out of these deep baths can be awkward for the less agile). We would certainly be happy to return again and can recommend it for a holiday.

Just prefect for what we wanted, comfort and peaceful.

The property and grounds are beautiful with stunning views towards Snowdonia. The location is ideal for exploring Anglesey. The property is really comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. The bottle of wine & chocolates on arrival were a treat. We took our spaniel with us and she loved it making friends with Fiona, she wanted to stay. We will definitely be returning next year.

Carreg Rhys is a homely comfortable cottage in a secluded area with beautiful views of mountains.

We enjoyed a relaxing holiday with plenty of places to visit within a few miles and the added bonus of a hot tub at the property. The owners are very friendly and helpful and left us a bottle of wine and chocolates on our arrival. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a quiet romantic break.

COTTAGE IS VERY WELL PRESENTED AND HAS ALL THE FACILITIES THST WE REQUIRED. GRPUNDS WERE SUPERB AND WELL WORTH A WALK AROUND. ADVICE ON PLACES TO VISIT AND BEST RRSTAURANTS TO EAT WERE VERY HELPFUL AND WITHIN NO MORE THAN 25 MINUTES FROM CARREG RHYS.

The cottage was lovely, it felt like a home rather than a holiday cottage - beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and well equipped.

Fiona was a great host and made us feel very welcome. The whole setting of the cottage is perfect, quiet & surrounded by lovely gardens with amazing views to Snowdonia. A perfect base to explore the whole island but especially the beaches around Newborough. The hot tub was a real treat too.

We had a lovely week in Anglesey, my first time but certainly won't be my last.

Weather was brilliant even though it was November. The owners were a lovely couple and keen to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We took our cat who also had a lovely time with so much space to roam about.

Four days just wasn't enough!

Absolutely going to book again, have never felt so chilled and relaxed after a short break like this. Would highly recommend but we don't want anyone else to know about it ☺️

Owners so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Tastefully decorated, warm and cosy with a lovely log burner. The grounds around are beautiful and great for dogs to have a walk. We enjoyed having the use of the hot tub. If you're looking for a totally relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle, Carreg Rhys is the place to go. Beautiful countryside, great beaches, dog friendly pubs and restaurants. Fantastic. We would give this cottage 10 out 10.

A beautiful cottage, very quite and a great place to get away from it all and relax.

A very friendly cat and helpful owners who are happy to help with anything if you need it. Lovely beaches and walks near by to explore.

In the description of the property there was no mention that there was a 'pop up' campsite on the property, and the fact that campers queued for the one toilet outside Rhys Carreg.

This rather destroyed the hot tub experience, which was less secluded than photos suggested. Due to Covid, the owner had limited what was provided, and whilst bringing towels isn't difficult, bringing a bath mat seemed extreme. Also, this was the first holiday home for many years that didn't have some holiday basics in the cupboards - salt, foil, cling film etc. There seemed a strange collection of glasses - one pint, one fruit juice, one tumbler - something of everything, but not pairs of things other than champagne flutes and wine glasses. It was lovely to have a dishwasher, but not enough crockery to use it economically ie putting it on every 2-3 days. The lack of a map was also unusual in our experience. The owner was very friendly and asked us if we needed anything but it seemed petty to ask for extra glasses so we made do. Our holiday was still very enjoyable due to the location and weather.

Carreg Rhys is set in a spectacular grounds with stunning views all around.

If you are looking for peace and quiet to unwind, that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but not far from anywhere on the island, then it is the perfect place to be. Fiona and her family made us feel very welcome and made our stay a relaxing and pleasurable experience.

We had a lovely stay at carreg rhys, clean and comfortable throughout and we couldn't ask for more.

They even accommodated for our cat which a lot of places don't. We had such a nice relaxing break. My only recommendation would be some outdoor lighting at night for the hottub. Would definitely recommend for couples wanting a nice relaxing stay with their furry friend

Great location for exploring Anglesey. Wildlife is amazing with red squirrels even visiting the garden. You want for nothing with the facilities and the host on hand for any issues you may have.

A beautiful little property.

Spotlessly clean, set in beautiful secluded grounds. It had all the facilities we needed. Very quiet, yet close to everywhere we wanted to see. Our 4 legged family member loved it! A word about the owners. We were there during the petrol shortage. Fiona and her husband went out of their way to help us find petrol on the morning of our departure. We were very grateful. Will definitely be returning at some point.

Carreg Rhys is a lovely peaceful retreat ideally located for all the beaches and coastal walks that Anglesey has to offer.

The owners Fiona and Peter are perfect hosts and are next door to help if required. This was our third visit which is testament to this lovely cottage and will soon be booking our return.

The cottage has everything you need, a home from home.

We took our dog and he loved the space around the cottage. The hosts are really friendly and very helpful. It was lovely to walk into the cottage with soft music and candles, very romantic, Fiona also provided a lovely basket of goodies for us on arrival. It only takes 30 mins to get to beaches and some less. I would recommend Church Bay, Llandwyn bay, Borth Wen for beaches. Llangefni is only a short drive for essentials. We ordered our food delivery from Iceland, which made it really easy for us on the day we arrived. The hot tub was excellent for a soak after a day out. In all a very relaxing haven and very romantic stay for those looking for somewhere quiet.

Excellent stay in good accommodation, quiet and comfortable with what we needed as a base for the holiday.

The owners were friendly and helpful at all times. I have reluctantly deducted one from facilities only because we would have preferred an enclosed shower unit because I have knee problems and the bath did the job but was less convenient. We recommend the venue and will certainly put it on our list for the future.

The cottage was really lovely.

Just what we needed a quiet relaxing break. The was very friendly on arrival and responded to text with questions. When we arrived some candles were lit and music was playing and also there was a welcome hamper with goodies in. It was a very enjoyable break and would recommend this cottage.

Very quite very calm yet 15 mins from some stunning beaches . Handy shops . The hosts were more than 10/10 . Could not fault Fiona and Pete at all they go out of their way to make sure your stay is a success. In particular we really appreciated the cottage being ready for us . Hot tub on . Candles lit . Even a bottle of wine waiting Hot tub a blessing Kitchen has everything you need Bed and bedding were excellent Only gripe if I had. To find one ? Lack of shower facilities was awkward having said that the bath and bathroom itself were both good. Fabulous stay in some testing times . Ps the gardens are stunning I’d definitely return Xx

We stayed at the cottage for our Honeymoon.

Fiona had left us a welcome basket, fresh flowers, soft music playing and a scattering of rose petals. This beautiful cottage is nestled away down a beautiful country lane. The sound of bird song from dawn to dusk and totally relaxation. The hot tub is an added bonus. We both felt so welcomed by both Fiona, Peter and family. We look forward to returning next year.

Our second visit to this cottage and as perfect as our first visit.

The cottage is ideal for a peaceful retreat conveniently located for Newborough and Aberffraw beaches and coastal walks. The cottage is very clean and well equipped including a thoughtful welcome pack on arrival. The owners couldn’t be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We give this cottage a 5 star rating and are looking forward to our next visit later this year.

Amazing cottage in a fantastic location.

The host Fiona was excellent, available at all times but not at all intrusive. Our weeks holiday couldn't have been better. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. 10 out of 10!

Fiona was an amazing host.

She greeted us on arrival and was very friendly. There was a complimentary food hamper and she left a bottle of prosecco outside for my partners birthday. She even offered to let us borrow her car when ours broke down. The cottage was very comfortable and in such a lovely location. It was very quiet and peaceful and we would definitely recommend this as a perfect getaway.

I stayed by myself with my Springer Spaniel, Oscar, for a week in November and couldn't have been happier!

I felt relaxed from the moment I stepped through the door, with the fire lit and music playing. Fiona was a fantastic host, being very helpful both pre-arrival and during the stay. The cottage had absolutely everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, the kitchen being particularly well equipped. I slept fantastically all week too, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the location so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is also in a fantastic location for getting out and exploring Anglesey (and more of North Wales), and is a great base for walking (very much appreciated by both myself and Oscar!). Even better was the return to the cottage though, with its hot tub and log burner, just what is needed after a long walk! Little touches were also very much appreciated, the gate at the bottom of the stairs was very welcome to prevent muddy paws from ruining the carpet upstairs, and the hamper of goodies was a very pleasant surprise! The WiFi was also very quick and reliable, capable of holding video calls and streaming TV shows etc. which is a bonus, and the house was always warm, even on cold November nights. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and look forward to visiting again soon!

Wonderful holiday cottage, everything you could need for an enjoyable stay.

Fiona kept in contact by text regularly to check everything was OK, she would normally greet arrivals but with the new Covid restrictions was unable to but kept everyone safe and used text messages. Asda is only a 10 min drive away as are lots of contryside walks. We did a circular walk through Newborough woods and also an enjoyable walk along Newborough beach up to the island. Would highly recommend a stay at this delightful cottage Thank you Fiona for all you do to make us feel welcome, a well packed hamper of goodies and a warm welcoming fire waiting for us on arrival.

Had such a fantastic week at Carreg Rhys for our first wedding anniversary.

After a very rough few months of you-know-what, a week in Paradwys (Paradise) was exactly what we needed.   The cottage is extremely well equipped (even has a slow cooker), homely, cosy and has stunning views of Snowdonia. From the terrace garden at the back of the farmhouse, you can see over the valley to the coast and Newborough Forest, 360 rolling countryside and the summit of Mount Snowden.   Fiona, Peter and family (and pets) were really welcoming and friendly. They gave us loads of great tips on places to eat and things to do and see in the area. We also found it to be a great spot for journeys to other parts of the island, door to door, it might have taken about 40 minutes to get to South Stack lighthouse and it’s nearby Neolithic village, for example.   We thoroughly enjoyed busy(ish) days out and about, walking on the beaches, coastal paths and through the forest, squirrel and bird spotting, then having long soaks in the hot-tub before a nice, relaxed evening with some good food in front of the log burner. Idyllic place for a break, you’ll be sorry if you don’t book it when you’ve got the chance.  

I have visited many cottages but what a little gem this one is.

Stayed here by myself with my dog and Fiona and Peter couldn't have made me feel more welcome. Always up for a chat but without being intrusive, it was lovely to know there were there should I need them.. The walks around here are amazing and to come back to the hot tub to soak those tired muscles was a blessed relief. I would definitely recommend visiting this cottage to explore the island and wouldn't hesitate to return myself. Thank you Fiona, Peter and family for a wonderful holiday..

Fiona and Peter went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

From the intial phone call to the hamper of treats on arrival, they really are top notch owners and hosts of this little slice of paradise! The cottage is in beautiful surroundings and not far from the stunning Newborough beach. One thing to note... The gorgeous stand alone bath is the only place to shower so if you're 6ft4 like my husband, you will need to adjust to a new, cosy way of showing for the week!

Lovely cottage, in a beautiful part of Anglesey.

Fiona and Peter are great hosts without being intrusive, we were allowed to use all the areas of the beautiful garden and relax in the garden furniture. The cottage itself has everything needed for a relaxing break and the hot tub was a lovely ‘welcome back’ after a day on the beach. The location is beautiful and everywhere on the island is within easy reach in the car. I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone who wants a lovely relaxing break with great hosts, thanks again Fiona and Peter!

We had a brilliant stay at the cottage, Fiona went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of her local area.

The fire was set, and hot tub freshly heated for our arrival, along with a lovely little hamper of treats. There are some wonderful beaches, walks, activities, and places to eat & drink on the Island, with the cottage being in a great location for getting around the whole island. We travelled to Anglesey a week after Covid lockdown had been lifted, so we were sceptical of what would be open, or safe to do on the Island. Fiona was really helpful telling us a couple of places that had outdoor seating and were her go to spots (Sandy Mount House did not disappoint) And we were pleasantly surprised on hoe many things were open with Covid precautions in place. Couldn't recommend Carreg Rhys enough if you are in search of a super cosy & relaxing stay

A fantastic holiday, loads of great places to see, National Trust houses are really good.

If nothing else Newborough Beach and forest park is a must, £5 to park but it is well worth it, place is kept as natural as possible so no cafe/shop but picnic areas for your own food. Watch the tides if you visit the island as you can easily get cut of, but one of the highlights of our stay. Carreg Rhys is a beautiful home from home, great to come back to a cozy house, when we arrived the owner, Fiona, had put the fire in for us and a basket of goodies. Lovely cozy bed with tv in the bedroom, TV downstairs with log burner,everything you could want in the kitchen, and of course, the hot tub mmmmmm ! Talking of the owner, she, ( and her husband ) couldn't be more friendly or helpful. It's a 5 star from me !

Arrived to a very warm welcome, the cottages photos do not do it justice it’s beautiful.

The fire was roaring and candles it was beyond perfect. We had a little welcome basket and petals on the bed. The hot tub is the icing on the cake with bath robes provided. The owners are fantastic we couldn’t work the heating and they were over in minutes nothing is to much trouble and we asked for some recommendations for food and were given a list. If you stay the oyster Catcher was delicious and not far from the cottage. If you book this cottage you will not be disappointed it’s truly a little treasure.

I couldn’t recommend this cottage enough. I loved every minute of our stay and Angelsey is a beautiful place to go and explore. The fire is amazing on dark cold nights. Fiona and Peter really took us in, and made this feel like going from home to home. The hamper & the fire lit on arival was wonderful to come in to. The bed was so comfortable & everything was prestine. We will defiantly be coming back in the future. Thank you so much for everything! Xx

The cottage was exceptionally clean and cosy.

Fiona was unobtrusive but checked in with me a few times which was especially welcome as I was staying on my own. They also left a walking guide and OS map out for me to save me buying new which was fantastic!

Lovely place to stay while exploring Anglesey, the owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

We really enjoyed staying at the cottage because it is a spacious yet cosy period cottage furnished with quality items.

Lovely stove and had chance to sit and watch some dvds with a glass of red in comfort! We had an excellent nights sleep as it was so peaceful and away from the buzz of the town and plenty of nice walks. Our hosts could not do more to help us feel at home and the welcome hamper and fuel were lovely added extras. Great spot, great beaches, dog friendly so pretty much everywhere so a lovely break for us all.

Fiona and Peter are wonderful owners who place great value on making your stay memorable. Nothing is overlooked, from the warm personal welcome to the cottage, to the high standard of interior and loads of “extra special” touches (scented candles and real fire on arrival) too sumptuous bedding and furnishings that make Carreg Rhys a French Style “Shabby Chic” experience. We were invited to use the lovely grounds with spectacular views..... It’s a wonderful place and we will definitely be returning.

Fiona and Peter made us so welcome, they are an amazing couple.We enjoyed the hot tub and the wood burner in the evenings. Barney our dog had a lovely time too, as it was so safe with a large garden .The views are lovely ,I could go on and on ,Needless to say we have booked for next year ---- 2 weeks this time.

Just got back from two weeks holiday in this lovely cottage.

Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings we did not want to come home. Well maintained cottage with everything you could wish for we enjoyed the log burner during evening and getting in to the wonderful comfy bed and cosy bedding. We enjoyed having the hot tub which helped us relax after long walkes around beautiful Anglesey. The owners Fiona and Peter are so lovely they made us feel very welcome and Fiona even baby sat the dog one evening so we could go out for a meal, nicer people you could not wish to meet. All in all it has been a wonderful holiday and we feel very relaxed (even the dog sulked when we got home ). We would highly recommend this and we are definitely going to visit again hopefully next year.

Carreg Rhys is a lovely cottage in a quiet rural location, ideally situated to access all the popular beaches and coastal walks along the south of Anglesey.

The friendly owners made us feel welcome and were keen to ensure that we had all we needed during our stay. The cottage is very comfortable, well appointed and has ample car parking space in the grounds of the house. We highly recommend this property and look forward to a return visit.

Carreg Rhys was the perfect location and accommodation for us.

We loved every minute and felt very sad to come home. The cottage with its hot tub was perfect after a long day of walking and sight seeing. Fiona and Peter were lovely and made us feel so very welcome. We miss them too! I particularly enjoyed the coal/log burner in the evenings as this made us feel very relaxed and cosy. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept well and we enjoyed our lay-ins; waking to the sound of silence! (well, perhaps a few sheep in the neighbouring field.) When we arrived, Fiona had made the cottage look perfect! We even had rose petals in the bath! There was a basket full of goodies too in the kitchen for us. In our opinion, the cottage was absolutely amazing and we look forward to returning next year. If you like peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. Where we were situated, every place that we wanted to visit was no more than 30 mins away in the car. The beaches on Anglesey are some of the most beautiful we have seen. Some times when you go on holiday, you do not expect to find somewhere that exceeds your expectations, but Carreg Rhys and Anglesey certainly did that for us and our little dog, Pippa! We even got to see the beautiful Puffins and I can certainly recommend a trip to Conwy. We caught the train from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (copied and pasted) to Conwy and enjoyed the views of the mountains and amazing scenery. All the pubs and restaurants we visited offered great food and lots of it! Fiona and Peter made our stay that bit more special as they could not do enough for us and were only a call or text away if there was anything that we needed. I hope that all visitors enjoy their stay as much as we did. The cottage and Anglesey are a little gem.

A hidden gem!

Carreg rhys cottage is a little bit of paradise in anglesey, Im not sure where to begin it's surrounded in acres of breath taking countryside but is as equally as beautiful inside, so much attention to detail and love has been put into this cottage by the owners whom are the loveliest people I've ever met. You can't get much better than lighting the candles and sitting in front of the roaring log burning stove, then relaxing in the hot tub ! It really is pure bliss, the cottage is so quaint and cozy and is only made better my its homely fetures and quirky personality. The cottage is so clean and has all the amenities you could possibly want with a comfy bed and big roll top bath, Fiona and pete are lovely down to earth people they can't literally do enough for you and you can tell its from the heart they genuinely want to make your holiday perfect, wish I could just move in to carreg rhys and live here its perfect.

We had the loveliest break here, the cottage is so welcoming and cozy.

Fiona and Peter both make so much effort with the place and us. We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper and rose petals in the bath tub and the Hot Tub ready to go. There is a few nice pubs in the area to eat in and the kitchen is really well equipped so eating at home wasn't a problem. We had some good days out as there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. We will definitely be returning!

The owners Fiona & Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing us with a lovely hamper full of Goodies to start our holiday. The Cottage is beautiful so peaceful & quite with a stunning view. The hot tub was a nice treat to relax in on an evening. Dog friendly which is a great Bonus as we couldn’t leave our pouch behind. There is So much to see and do around the island with lots of dog friendly places :) We would highly recommend this Cottage to anybody :) & cant thank the owners enough for amazing Holiday we will sure be back :) x much love Kelly, Antony & Roxy

The cottage was excellent, comfortable and clean.

Really well equipped with everything we needed and the garden/grounds were ideal for our dog. A great location for exploring the rest of Anglesey. The owners made us feel very welcome. We would recommend this cottage to anyone and would happily stay again.

Carreg Rhys is an absolute gem of a Cottage, and truly a piece of "Paradise" in the Anglesy countryside.

The attention to detail of all the interior decor and furnishings with its Parisienne "Shabby Chic" style is lovely. Many additional touches like Fluffy Bath robes when you get out of the Hotub and Fur throws to keep the chill off when dining Al Fresco at night, add the 5 star experience. Fiona & Peter the owners offer a warm and welcoming greeting on arrival to add the personal touch. Nothing is too much trouble for them to help you enjoy your stay. We feel like we've made new friends. So much so we've already booked for next year.

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable. Beautiful bedding and high quality towels. We had the best welcome from Peter and Fiona who were both so warm and friendly. A love fire and a great hamper were there to welcome us. Certainly worth a return visit.

The toilet seat was not up to standard needs replacing was disgusting , more comfy garden furniture would be a plus , also no shower in summer baths are not refreshing bath to deep and I could not get in or out if it .

No bath mat and had to ask for toilet brush all these should be provided otherwise a lovely stay

This was our 6th Sykes rental and 2nd time we’ve been to Carreg Rhys, this time returning for our honeymoon.

The owner Fiona had laid on a beautiful welcome hamper and even decorated the cottage with a tasteful hessian “Just Married” banner, a liberal scattering of red rose petals, fresh flowers and a single rose on the bed. As ever here, the welcome from Fiona and Peter was warm and friendly and they obviously put a lot of effort into both running and maintaining the cottage. The hot tub isn’t over chlorinated like some and they do check it regularly. The welcome from Lola (Tibetan terrier) was as effusive as Fiona and she’s always around and up for a fuss (Lola not Fiona) Her partner in crime (Alfie) is also very friendly and Marley the cat is fairly indifferent at first but does like a fuss. The cottage was clean, well prepared and with a stack of logs and coal ready for the log burner it was just perfect. Fiona did offer to have it lit ready which just typifies her attitude and willingness to get everything just right. Privacy is not an issue even though the cottage is attached to the main house and it’s a beautifully quiet location. There are lots of fantastic beaches around and we’d highly recommend Llanddwyn Island which is about 15 minutes away. For us, this was the perfect honeymoon and it’s a great “get away from it all” break. Whilst we are already have the next years holidays booked I can safely say we will be returning here in the future. Thank you Fiona and Peter for your hospitality xx

Fiona and Peter are brilliant hosts and are extremely welcoming and helpful. The property itself is lovely, homely and has everything you could ask for in a holiday property - AND a hot tub! - which was lovely to sink into at the end of the day. Couldn't recommend this place more highly. We will definitely be returning.

! Perfect location; tucked away but only a short drive to everything needed. Hosts were amazing and very welcoming. We stayed for a week and we could of easily of stayed longer. When we arrived, after driving nearly 5 hours, it was great to have a welcome basket full of goodies. A lovely personal touch :)

The cottage was everything we could have dreamed of, very clean and homely with the hot tub being the icing on the cake. If you have a dog then have no worries, plenty of space for them to run and the owners dogs are very friendly . The cottage is placed in an ideal location, close to the most wonderful beaches and Forrest, if you need a little bit of heaven go no further, you have found a bit of paradise .
