Had a wonderful stay at Bwyhyn Carregwen.

The premises is in a beautiful location with lovely walks on your doorstep and well maintained and spotless. Enclosed front and back gardens so ideal for our small dog. An upside down house with the living accommodation being upstairs making the most of the beautiful views over the hills and a lovely setting to unwind after a day of exploring both locally and further afield. Good communication throughout with the owners and would highly recommend this property. Would very happily live in this house permanently and definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quite relaxing location with amenities close by.

It’s in a beautiful, peaceful location with a great local pub nearby. The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed. This was our first stay here, and we were very impressed. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it.

The property was only superficially clean .

The bedding was poor quality and stained .The carpets downstairs were poor ,frayed in places . Difficult to find ,a sign at the end of the lane would help .

The property was exactly as presented in the images and actually was better than we anticipated.

The parking is right outside the property and fits a fair few cars and the location was very easy to get to. The location actually has some amazing walks start right outside the property and in 5 minutes, you can walk along a cliff side hundreds of feet above where the property is situated. 10/10 will definitely be returning if we need to head back to Wales!

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday cottage and would happily return.

It is easy to find and set in a peaceful location. Taking a morning walk up the hill directly behind the property to get sea views and wild ponies running around is a great way to start the day. Conway Morfa Beach was one of the cleanest beaches we've been to in the UK. And when the tide was out it gave the dog plenty of space to run around off lead and he had so much fun chasing his ball into the sea and digging tin the sand. Back at the cottage, the kitchen was stocked with more than we needed; the beds and sofas were very comfortable, and included two powerful showers and a garden hose for getting sand out of our hair and off the dog's paws. The front garden is a real sun trap and we were very fortunate to enjoy the nice spring weather there. Overall, a brilliant cottage in a beautifully scenic area, that's ideal for anyone seeking relaxation, great walks and easy access to the coast. Thanks again.

This is a beautiful cottage, plenty of space for 5 adults and a dog.

Parking was ample, the house is very easy to find despite its remote location. We had everything we needed, the surroundings are beautiful, we bumped into a few neighbours whilst entering and leaving the house who were all lovely and friendly. The beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. We went to both the local pubs and found them friendly, the wild horses roaming the country lanes was a huge surprise to us and we loved watching them. 2 of our party went on a hike up the mountain behind the house and said it was great and the views were amazing. You do need to drive to get out and about from this cottage but we were very pleased with our stay and have already recommended it to friends who, after seeing our pictures asked about it.

This was our 2nd visit to Bwthyn Carregwen, on arrival the cottage was clean and welcoming to the same high standard as last year.

Wonderful views as the living room and kitchen are upstairs, 3 good size bedrooms downstairs Stunning location, ideal for walking and exploring the local area. Close to Llandudno, always a great day out, walking up the Great Orme and back in to town for lunch at the Cottage Loaf pub. I also recommend The Gladstone pub near by, great Sunday lunch. Thank you Michelle for the welcome pack and checking in on us, if we needed anything. We will be back again next year. Bwthyn Carregwen is truly a beautiful place.

We loved staying at this amazing house.

It was a home from home. The location was breathtaking with easy walking from the house to Sychnant Pass and down to the beach. Good too for getting to different, interesting places. Because of the location it was very quiet and peaceful. It was great having the living space upstairs so the views could be savoured. The kitchen was well equipped and practical and it was great to have the separate dining room. It was great for our dog and very safe in both front and back gardens. Good parking. The owner was extremely friendly and responsive. Would recommend and we will certainly return.

This is our 3rd time we've visited.

It's is such a beautiful cottage the views are amazing and with the living room and kitchen upstairs you get to see them. It's so bright and the lovely garden in the sun is perfect. There's a walk just at the back of the house to get to to the top of the mountain or some unbelievable views of the sea. Conwy Town is not far away in he car or you can walk there as we did along the mountains. The fairy Glen pub is a 5 minute walk away lovely food and friendly staff. Highly recommended and definitely will re visit again in the future. Also the owner was very responsive if you needed her and the little added touch of Welsh cakes milk and a bottle of wine was lovely. Thank you

The cottage was really comfortable and remote - just what wev wanted for our getaway. Ideally located to explore north Wales. Michelle was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location just a short drive from Conwy.

Very quiet location. Enclosed garden ideal for the dog. Property also very easy to find despite rural location and handy for most major towns of north Wales. Closest pub is 300yds away called the fairy Glen but to clarify they are not dog friendly and were quite rude when I went in just to check, the Gladstone pub a mile away is very dog friendly and food is really good. When we arrived at the cottage it was cold and couldn't work out how to operate the heating, rang Michelle the owner who is lovely and she was there within 15 minutes and got it sorted. If I could find any criticism with the cottage it would be the beds and pillows which were a little uncomfortable but they might be fine for others, despite this we actually slept quite well. Would we go back? Yes without doubt, we didn't want to leave, if there are any bad reviews just ignore them as the only bad thing was the rudeness of the bloke in the fairy Glen pub.... His loss! We also had 2 family members join us for our last 2 nights, and were able to leave an hour later than the 10am check out time due to me having to prepare medication, both of these Michelle was more than happy with so thanks again Michelle. If anyone is looking for a lovely property to stay in with nice owners, a great location with peace and quiet this is the one.

We arrived late at night and where informed there would be firewood supplied, there was none.

We began to make a hot drink and found two cups with dried coffee in the bottom. We decided to wash the cutlery and crockery ready for morning and found the previous guest pots still in the dishwasher, unwashed. There were no dishwasher tabs. We were informed there was internet and traveling with two young teenagers, found no internet and no information regarding why or what issues had occurred to cause internet failure. The oven was unusable until it was fully cleaned and the trays left in there scrubbed. The following morning my wife spoke with the host. Michelle, explaining everything we touched in the kitchen was grimy, greasy and needed to be washed, as we checked the rest of the property we simply found more dirt. Even the trash bin had a bag of the previous guests trash at the bottom with a bin bag placed on top of this. Michelle’s response was “, I’ve got three children and it’s Christmas, my standards have dropped and I meant to contact you yesterday, but it’s being nuts.” she went on to say a satellite dish had come off the mountain and we should put the router in a carrier bag and hang it from the window on the outside. We found this did not work in the apple 16pro max or the Samsung galaxy phones but did work on the other tech, but did not work on anything once downstairs. The only reception received was upstairs. We asked the Sykes representative if we had to bring our own fire wood and was informed it is provided by the host, we were informed , a welcome pack is left by the host, there was nothing of a welcome not even a note apologizing that we had no internet or wood for a fire. The message left with Sykes regarding the internet was responded to within thirty mins by James and the host visited with a multi point charger so we could keep the router plugged in while hanging it out of the window. Why we were not informed the previous week to our visit tgat there were internet issues and we would not receive the same internet reception we may have reconsidered booking this property.

Stunning location, the cottage lived up to the expectations and more.

Loved every minute there, the wild life there is amazing, the ponies from the mountain to seeing robins and more each day. Love the upside-down design. Great kitchen with everything you need, lovely lounge and separate dining room and 3 great bedrooms. Will definitely be back there. Thank you Michelle great owner

A lovely cottage that lived up to expectations.

Comfortable and well equipped but with a couple of extra touches it would be perfect- little things like coat hooks in the porch, a bath mat in the en-suite and an outside light to the front of the house. The lack of these did not detract from our stay and would happily book this cottage again.

Beautiful cottage, with a picturesque landscape, nice and clean.

All kitchen utensils you could think of. Nice size TV. The only complaint is that the sofas were extremely uncomfortable and will need replacing quite soon. However, will be returning and highly recommend

The house was very clean and comfortable.

Communication with the owner was great. Everything was as described. The location is stunning and the upside down nature of the house means great views from the lounge. Whole area was very dog friendly. Lots of places to visit only short drives away. The Gladstone pub in the village serves good food. Enjoyed our stay very much.

The setting was also fabulous! Surrounded by beautiful Welsh hills. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable and the living space being above the bedroom worked so well with the beautiful views. There is a small patio garden with rotary washing line. Good communication with the owners who were easy to contact. I would definitely stay here again.

It is comfortable and spacious with good facilities. It is very well located, being close to hiking routes in the nearby hills and walkable distance to the localbeach, it is also just a short drive to Conwy. If I was being very picky some of the kitchen utensils and TV remote were not in the best condition.

Beautiful home and location to areas in North Wales.

Really well equipped kitchen. The only downsides were that the sofas and beds were quite uncomfortable. Can't fault anything else - it's a 20 minute walk to the local beach which is dog friendly when the tide is out.

Amazing place with amazing scenery.

Only issue was the ensuite bathroom off the main bedroom - need to be careful not to turn it on on full blast as the pressure just flooded the entire bathroom. Not sure if the drain needs clearing as it just didn't seem to drain away. Mopped it all up and hopefully didn't cause any damage.

Carregwen is a beautiful property.

It has everything you need for your stay. It is in a lovely quiet spot with scenic views. It is also close to the beach & it is a good area for walks and there are some excellent pubs/restaurants close by. We had a great time and would highly recommend Bwthyn Carregwen.

The cottage was so homely, we loved the living space upstairs. We all loved watching the wild rabbits and birds of prey on the mountains. My grandchildren loved the facilities at Snowdonia sports and their paddle boarding experience. Thank you Michelle for your hospitality, and the bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival.

Absolutely amazing home.

This cottage by far exceeded expectations it was absolutely lovely The whole place was stunning top to bottom! Could not recommend this home enough! Was so cozy, showers were amazing just beautiful, can not wait to return!!!!

This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in.

Has a cosy vibe, beautiful views, hosts are easy to contact and are so helpful and lovely. I would 100% recommend people to stay here and would definitely come back! Only 10/15 minute drive from Conwy! And the walks around the cottage are lovely. Can get some lovely views!

We liked the house and its location, perfect for exploring the towns around North Wales.

It was in a lovely area with some fantastic views. We stayed in this house with 6 people, 4 adults and two teenagers. What did we love? We loved the area, and its close proximity to Conwy and Snowdonia. It was lovely having a walk in the village. The log burner was fab. The fridge was great, perfect for a large family staying. In the summer I could see the back garden being a perfect site to sit outside. How would we improve our stay? The lounge area for 6 needed another sofa, we had to take a chair or two from the dining room to put into the lounge. There were just enough dinner plates for 6 but many were chipped. The lounge needed a coffee table or a next of tables so that drinks were not on the floor. The main bathroom plug needs attention as it leaks (you need to give it shove with your foot to improve the seal!). The second double bedroom would ideally be a room for a bunk bed and the twin room have the second double.

Lovely property in a great spot if you want peace and quiet

External doors were difficult to lock/unlock.

kitchen equipment could do with a refresh. One saucepan had a broken handle and another had a dangerously loose handle. Although we were a party of 4 for some of the time we noticed that there were only 5 dinner plates when the property is advertised for 6. The property's big selling point is its position. Lovely views and immediate access to great walks.It just needs a little revamp to make it a 5 star property. We did enjoy our week.

The property was spotless and had everything required to enjoy it without worrying about forgetting something. And Michelle was at the end of the phone if needed. It was faultless & will definitely be back!

This is our third visit to this cottage, so that should say it all.

We always feel relaxed when coming here, and our dog settles well too. The welcome bottle of wine and fresh milk in the fridge were both very much appreciated! No doubt we will visit again at some point. Thank you Michelle and family x

A number of light bulbs were not working, bathroom x 2, en-suite x 1, kitchen area x 2 in ceiling and 2 under cupboard plus extractor fan and wine cooler not working.

Some taps had loose tops, bathroom and kitchen. Loved the property and location and rooms were generally comfy. A 4 person rather than 6 person location. Website needs updating to include dishwasher and microwave and washer/dryer was only a washer. Wine in fridge on arrival a nice touch.

Overall we had a lovely stay.

The cottage was well equipped, generally clean (few cobwebs especially in the twin) and comfortable. I was nervous about the back garden patio area and felt there should have been some form of railing between that and a steep drop. Wouldn’t like to have had toddlers and was nervous with dog. Some lightbulbs out in bathroom and en suite and more pegs needed. Cold have done without the owners to f the cottage opposite moaning about parking - so rude. We had a lovely time though thank you.

The raised patio at the back could do with a safety rail around it.

Lovely looking property with enclosed garden which was a good size for our family.

Location ideal to access lots of lovely walks and the Snowdonia region. Welcome drinks were appreciated. Would recommend owners purchasing more crockery as not many plates/bowls and some were chipped. I guess it is towards the end of the season as there were plenty of mugs and glasses. Also double bed in main bedroom would benefit from a mattress topper.

Lovely and peaceful. Views fantastic. And the fairy glen hotel just up the road is definitely worth a visit food and staff excellent. Great for lots of walking and cycling.

The property was more than we expected the view was great and the settees were comfortable the kitchen was perfect The bedroom doors were a bit squeaky but we got used to that .

What a lovely house great location 15 minutes from llandudno, 5 minutes from the motorway and beach.

Great for relaxing or adventuring. Spoke with and met michelle the landlady and all communications were great. All the facilities you need to be comfortable bedding towels etc. All communications from sykes were good. If and when in area would definitely stay again.

Outstanding week in a great property. The owner was very helpful throughout. The cottage had everything needed for a great week. The location was outstanding great walks for the dog and us. Easy access to all the site in N Wales.

The property is easily accessible from the main roads yet after a few minutes drive, the cottage is tucked up within beautiful mountain countryside, with many lovely walks on your doorstep.

It is ideally positioned to tour the local area. Having been to Wales several times, we were very impressed with how good the roads are in this area. The countryside is stunning with endless miles of unspoilt coast, mountains, lakes, castles, valleys and woodland. We love to walk with our dog and there is so much to explore. The cottage is lovely with plenty of space for adults sharing. The upside down living provides beautiful views. We were comfortable and made good use of the kitchen. The garden areas are reasonably secure and our dog appreciated having a space to to explore. The sheep regularly walk around the area outside the garden so visitors must watch their dogs carefully. Michelle the owner kept in contact with us to check if things were okay. We were very lucky with amazing weather and we had a great time. I would recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area for the first time due to its ease of access.

This is a beautifully kept cottage with spectacular views.

We sat in the front garden with a mug of tea every morning. The furnishings and kitchen are exactly as shown in the pictures. The owner is lovely and is on hand to help with queries. We had a very hot weather week but with beaches and the mountains we reckon it was the best place to be! The only thing I’d change (and this is just down to my family logistics not a criticism), I’d get single beds that can be zipped together to make double beds. This would make the twin room and small double more flexible.

Lovely house that was home from home.

Beautiful scenery and brilliant base for sightseeing in Snowdonia, Anglesey and Llandudno and surrounding areas. So much to see and do. Very dog friendly beach close by in easy walking distance. The house is comfortable and very warm on sunny says which we were blessed with. Nice touch that there are plastic reusable plates and cups to use for picnics. Big fridge/freezer and plenty of cupboard space. Nice tiled porch area for walking boots. Owner contactable for queries .

Really loved the property and location.

The only thing that needed looking at is the hot tap in the bathroom comes away in your hand. You can push it back so it can be used but should be fixed, many thanks.

We’re just on our way home from staying for a week at Bwythn Carregwen and what an amazing week it’s been!

This property is so lovely and home like, we didn’t want to leave! The beds are so comfy, shower is AMAZING and we just loved everything. It was perfect for my two daughters (4 & 1years) and our dog! The surrounding mountains and views from upstairs are beautiful. The village is friendly and the pub (fairy glen) down the road is fab! So many nice walks from the house. We walked to the beach a few times and there’s a little play park not to far either! The owner Michelle is so lovely and only a message away if you need to ask anything which was great! - thank you so much again Michelle . We can’t wait to stay again!

This cottage is set in a beautiful , quiet location with stunning views of the mountains and valley.

It was a perfect base for us to explore the multitude of walks both up in the hills as well as along the coast. The cottage itself is lovely, well appointed and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our holiday. The amazing views were the the icing on the cake. We can't recommend it enough. For a walking holiday with our dog, it was perfect

It’s not often you get accommodation that is as good as the photos, but on this occasion we got exactly that.

The location was stunning as far as we were concerned and the cottage was beautiful. If wouldn’t suit everyone, I.e. if you didn’t have transport, but excellent if you have transport, saying that, the pub was only 1 mile down the hill, and walkers would love the location of the house. Great for any any combination of families or friends. Amenities in the cottage, it had everything we needed, even to cook a full Sunday roast. Could perhaps do with a clothes airier indoors, in case your not able to put washing outside. Host Michelle was easy to contact and help if you have any questions. Would highly recommend and would definitely go there again.

We had a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage despite the wind and rain .

The cottage had everything we needed and the welcome basket was well appreciated. It is in a great area for some fantastic walks and lucie our dog enjoyed it. It was lovely to come back to an open fire at night. Would definitely recommend if you want a restful break with beautiful views and hope to return in the future.

Enjoyed a great week at this well-appointed property with modern styling that nods to the past.

The reverse layout makes the most of the fabulous view from large raked window in the living area and there's plenty of room to chill out. Great location with easy access to the coast, and the walking trails that crisscross the Sychnant Pass are on the doorstep. A tip for other guests - the central heating is quite effective but remember, the heat rises and the reverse layout means it can get quite warm upstairs in the living area - adjust the radiator thermostats accordingly. Another tip is, if the oven (it's a lovely range) has been powered off, you'll not be able to do much until you've set the clock! This took me a while to figure out and it was only some time later that I found a manual for the range in a kitchen drawer (page 9 revealed the answer). I'd suggest this information is included in the welcome file along with a more detailed description of how to actually turn the central heating on, rather than the brief mention in the file that it's either on, manual or auto. We had the restful week in the peace and quiet of the country that we were looking for and we'd definitely return.

Excellent quiet location with mountain views and walks from the door. Easy access to Anglesey and Snowdonia. Cottage very comfortable. Small point could do with more baking trays as only one. Would recommend and will revisit soon.

Lots of walks just outside the back door. Beds we're so comfy I wanted to take it home with me. Towels and bed linen were provided, beautiful views outside the living room window. Highly recommended and visit again

The cottage is in a wonderful location and you can walk into the hills from your door where the views out to Anglesey & over Conwy are superb.

There are several great sandy beaches close by but be prepared for a bit of a hike at low tide. The cottage is very comfortable & a perfect base for a family holiday. All the people we met locally were very friendly & helpful - this is such a beautiful area to visit & I'm sure we'll be back.

Lovely, comfortable stay in this unique upside down house.

The setting and scenery is fantastic and so relaxing, beautiful views. A short walk to the pub and drive to a convenience store. We kept ourselves busy exploring the area and it was lovely to come back to at the end of a tiring day. The host, Michelle, kept us informed of when the property was ready for us to check in and communication was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We enjoyed the romote location at the edge of the village and the views from the hill top we exceptional.

The location was ideal to explore North Wales. We would love to return one day.

Bwthyn Carregwen is a beautiful house with fab views to wake up to and watch any time, even in iffy weather watching the mist on the hills !

Beautiful house and location and spotlessly clean, WiFi a bit hit & miss but as it surrounded by hills that wasn’t a big issue.

Kitchen large and plenty of work surface but could do with a few more kitchen utensils ie Sharper knives separate chopping boards and better & larger pans. Had a lovely week and would recommend a stay here, plenty of places to visit and Very scenic, would love to stay again.

This was our second time at this lovely cottage.

We instantly feel relaxed when we walk through the doors. The cottage was clean, and the owner had provided gloves, antibacterial gel and wipes to help protect against Covid-19. Of course the complimentary bottle of wine helped too lol. Thanks for a lovely stay, we hope to be back again sometime.

This property was absolutely amazing, lovely location nice and quiet absolutely beautiful inside , can see the owners have made this a fabulous holiday home, would recommend this without a doubt and wouldn't hesitate to return, have stayed in many holiday homes but this has to be the best yet without a doubt

The internet access is woefully slow and needs to have the speed increased, probably needs a more upto date router.

We were unable to connect to our contacts via the internet and bearing in mind there is no phone signal in the house this proved tobe a problem.

Amazing property, nestled in the Welsh hills.

Everything we needed as a family of 5. Very clean. Our grown up children loved it and our dog, we all did. Friendly owners responded quickly to any questions we had. If you like walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside, this is for you.

The cottage was located in a beautiful location with easy access to local amenities, perfect for dog owners/walkers.

Overall we found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The only comment we would make is that a couple of Flat Oven Trays would have come in very useful, as we stayed during Covid 19 restrictions; Pubs, Restaurants etc, were closed therefore we needed to use the Cooker/ovens more often than had planned. We would definitely stay again, what a beautiful place!!

Cottage in lovely surroundings.

Good size kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals but lots of places to eat within a short drive away. Could do with a second tv in one of bedrooms as this property is for 6 people if weather is very bad in winter evenings it means children can watch their own programms. Could also do with a few board games we went into conwy & bought dominoes cards & other games to play in the very stormy evenings. The short piece of roadway leading to cottage is in a very bad state of repair , huge holes could damage car & risk of people falling on very uneven ground . Having said that we had a lovely weeks stay . the people are very friendly ,lots of places to visit, first visit to Wales & loved every minute.

Thank you. Really enjoyed the location with the views and loads of lovely walks. The time flew by. The cottage was lovely. Bed comfortable and lovely and warm. No problems at all.

Only one thing having 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 we found it very unusual not to have a lock on the bathroom door infact unless you pile towels against the door it opens itself a very minor problem the house is amazing views amazing the owners are extremely helpful and friendly and will definitely stay there again lovely comfortable beds too always a winner

A beautiful house in a very tranquil setting.

I would happily recommend this property / area to anyone. My only disappointment is, I only booked for a weekend break.

Fantastic cottage, fabulous location.

The views from this cottage are absolutely incredible.

We had the best time ever here and will definitely return. The owners left a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch and there is so much to do and see nearby! Plenty of pubs and shops within walking distance too. If you have dogs then bring them as they will love the walks and trails - especially watching the sheep!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely location, breathtakingly views, had some lovely walks, nice little playground up the road aswell.

Would def recommend, lovely house. Dino's in paenmenmaur does the best donor kebab ever....They will also diver

The house was great it was a place where we didn’t want to leave.

The views from this upside down home was fantastic and great walks on your doorstep. It’s very hard to find any negatives the road/track although it was short had become bumpy due to the rain the previous week washing it away and our dog doesn’t like laminate/wooden floors so we had to lay towels in the passage for him which was quite funny. First class accommodation in a first class area for exploring North Wales great beaches also. Neighbours are also very pleasant.

What a wonderful cottage nestled in the valley, close to the beach and perfect for exploring North Wales.

We had a super stay here; it was quiet, relaxing and very comfortable. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful area/views. Cottage exceeded our expectations. Well equipped and a good standard of cleanliness (although could do with a bit of vacuum behind the side tables/drawer units as hand came back covered in cobwebs when retrieving something which rolled behind them) but all in all very happy with our stay. Complimentary bottle of wine from the owner was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others. Booking with Sykes was very easy. Information in booking and confirmation emails provided very good and the recommendation score would have been higher if hadn't been for the bombardment of daily advertising emails trying to get me to book more holidays before I'd even been on this one!!

The house is very good the only minor downside is the position of the dining area and when in the dining room it is difficult to get around especially if you have children like we did.

A great property set in a lovely little village with amazing views.

With a shop and a pub close by and easy access to the towns of Conwy and Llandudno we couldn't have picked a better spot. The cottage was spotless and comfortable...lots of really nice finishing touches. A real home from home. We had a great time.

The location was breathtaking and a really high spec cottage that was well designed.

Perfecvt location for exploring nearby Conwy and the mountains/beaches. Highly recommended.
