“Capel Cottage is a beautiful Welsh cottage which was presented spotlessly clean and with a delightful welcome pack.”

Views all around the cottage are stunning and amazing walks can be started from the cottage (one hour walk to Conwy over the hill) with spectacular views. We loved the outdoor spaces front and back which were peaceful with seating areas to relax after a busy day. The cottage had everything you need and nothing you didn't, we took advantage of the spice rack, coffee maker and ice cubes which was great. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in and the sun room attached to the bedroom was a fabulous little space to play card games or read. Parking was never an issue and the pub next door was busy but never obtrusive. Only feedback to mention was no welcome information which told us of general house info. In addition the shower curtain situation was cheap and is not up to the standard of the rest of the property and needs reviewing. But I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. We were sad to leave and are definitely planning on returning!

About the location

CAPELULO

Penmaenmawr 1.5 miles; Conwy 2.5 miles; Llandudno 10 miles.

Capelulo is a small village on the North Wales coast between Penmaenmawr and Conwy. The village is in an elevated position with both mountain and sea views and is home to a pub and an Austrian restaurant. Set on the side of the Tal-Y-Fan mountain, Capelulo enjoys stunning views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Anglesey and the Irish Sea, and if you are lucky, dolphins can sometimes been see playing in the bay. Capelulo is just a couple of miles from Penmaenmawr, an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches. A recently opened cycle path leads along the coastal path to Conwy Marina to the East, and Llanfairfechan to the west. Or, head up the Conwy valley through the Sychnant Pass on to the mountain trails that abound there. The sailing club in Penmaenmawr is well established and welcomes day guests, as does the 9 hole golf course, set amongst stunning coastal scenery on the lower slopes of the village. On the promenade you will find numerous activities such as a skate park, bowling green and all weather tennis courts as well as a beach café in the summer.
