“An amazing week's holiday at this cottage.”

First impression, it a fabulous size for 5 people, well equipped, good kitchen, great beds and bedding, fascinating views of pure countryside. Good place to be located for visiting Conwy and the surrounding area. We saw the wild ponies out on the hills, watched a host of beautiful birds in the garden and had some wild weather, but it didn't stop us getting out and about. From tasty ice creams at Rhos on Sea to the Gwydir Forrest, a train ride to Blaenau Ffestiniog and so much more, such an ...

Lasting impression, it's that good, we've booked again.

The property

Conwy 2 miles.

A delightful, detached cottage, located in rural Welsh countryside on the Sychnant Pass, between Capelulo and Conwy.

Set in picturesque countryside, this peaceful cottage is set away from the crowds in some of the best scenery in North Wales, and ideal haven for families and friends.

Entering into a welcoming kitchen/diner, you’ll want to put the kettle on and sit and relax straight away.

The sitting room is bright and airy and invites you to settle down, perhaps with a good book or choose a DVD from the selection on offer.

The bedrooms in this lovely cottage all have delightful countryside views, allowing you to see up the valley and perhaps plan your day based on the weather you see.

Children will love the space around the cottage with lawns to front and rear to explore.

The North Wales Path passes nearby and is well worth joining to head inland, perhaps seeing the famous Aber Falls on the way.

It is possible to walk east into Conwy town and past the marina, before maybe taking a tour of the castle and ramparts.

You can visit Pensychnant Conservation Centre and Nature Reserve, where you will find wildlife and birds in abundance.

There is so much to see and do in the area you will be sure to want to book again and again in this fantastic cottage.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

CAPELULO

Penmaenmawr 1.5 miles; Conwy 2.5 miles; Llandudno 10 miles.

Capelulo is a small village on the North Wales coast between Penmaenmawr and Conwy. The village is in an elevated position with both mountain and sea views and is home to a pub and an Austrian restaurant. Set on the side of the Tal-Y-Fan mountain, Capelulo enjoys stunning views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Anglesey and the Irish Sea, and if you are lucky, dolphins can sometimes been see playing in the bay. Capelulo is just a couple of miles from Penmaenmawr, an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline, yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture, with many local pubs, restaurants and shops, a superb golf course and golden, sandy beaches. A recently opened cycle path leads along the coastal path to Conwy Marina to the East, and Llanfairfechan to the west. Or, head up the Conwy valley through the Sychnant Pass on to the mountain trails that abound there. The sailing club in Penmaenmawr is well established and welcomes day guests, as does the 9 hole golf course, set amongst stunning coastal scenery on the lower slopes of the village. On the promenade you will find numerous activities such as a skate park, bowling green and all weather tennis courts as well as a beach café in the summer.
