2 Tregof Terrace

The heating and hot water needs serious attention.

I must’ve spent four hours total over the week trying to get either heating or hot water working properly. The controller does not connect and errors so you have to redo the whole thing manually. The overall property was okay although parts of it falling apart like the bathroom tile panels Kitchen tile panel.

We had a wonderful time at 2 Tregof terrace from the moment we arrived, it was spotless, warm and cosy in a perfect location to local walks and beaches.

Our host was fantastic and responded quickly and genuinely caring to make sure our stay went well. Definitely would recommend and we'll be back to stay soon. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

This is a lovely property welcoming from the start.

Its location is ideal close to the harbor/beach and the many walks. Everything was ready to go with great instructions left by the owner. The weather made the whole week even better. Would certainly consider staying here again.

Clean, comfortable and easy walking distance to local amenities mainly well stocked local shop and pub.

Location perfect.

Cottage clean and functional. Tired in places. Yes there are a number of maintenance issues definately need addressing. Changing kitchen cupboards/doors would be beneficial in updating the kitchen area and removing existing furniture in dining area and replacing with a nice kitchen table and 6 matching chairs would be of great benefit to the cottage. Will be back next year.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location.

We were greeted with chocolates, a bottle of Prosecco, dog treats (you’ve made our two Labradors friends for life with these!) and some flowers on the table. Beds are super comfy and the whole place is super well thought out, clean and practical. 2 minute walk from a lovely beach and 5-10 minute walk from the local village! We loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

What a little gem of a place in a beautiful village.

The cottage is is a prime village location, comfortable with quality bedding and quilt for a good nights, quiet sleep. There is everything required for a self catering holiday, the cottage is nicely decorated with lots of seating areas. Lots of games and jigsaws and a TV firestick for when the nights were dark and the weather not great. The small garden area was great for letting our dog out in before the long beautiful walks around the area and Anglesey. The owner was very friendly and answered questions quickly - thank you for the wine, milk and mince pies. We will return to this gorgeous cottage and area.

I love that there are plenty supplies, towels, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, etc plus tea, coffee, milk. You can get on with holidaying without having to think about what you need for ‘home.’ A very relaxing place.

The cottage is in a great location only a couple of minutes walk to the coastal path and walking distance to the village. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Jim the owner left a welcome gift of wine and cake which was much appreciated.

Another great stay at this lovely cottage in a prime position, close to the beaches and coves of Cemeas Bay.

One of our favourite places. The sun shone for us too! The cottage has everything we need and is home from home, my grandsons loved the top bedroom! We will return soon!

The location of the cottage was lovely, really close to the beach and in a beautiful area!

The cottage was really clean and it was a really nice touch that it was so well stocked with dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc and a nice touch to have wine, came and milk left for us on arrival! Unfortunately, there a few downsides to it. The cottage needs a bit of maintenance and is quite worn in places. The landing light is broken with the switch being pulled out and the kitchen filing was coming off. The biggest issue we had was with the boiler, which started to smell really strongly. We couldn’t use the lean to at all (where the boiler was) and had to keep the door to the lean to closed all the time to try and prevent the boiler fumes getting in the house. This was added to by the fact there was no carbon monoxide alarm so we had no idea if the boiler was safe! The real issue came when we tried to get help with this as unfortunately the owner wasn’t responding to messages (it turns out he’d been in hospuatal, which fair enough if that’s the case) and neither were Sykes. Sykes were so difficult to contact, in the end I contacted them on Facebook as they didn’t respond to the online or telephone number. They couldn’t have cared less that we were at risk from a faulty boiler!! In the end I just switched the boiler off so we had no hot water. Eventually Sykes did get hold of the owner but this was on our last full day in the property abd he came out on our last evening to look at the boiler. Such a shame as this was our big family holiday abd it’s not cheap to rent these cottages and the boiler issue really marred our stay as I was not at all comfortable with it, the smell was so strong! Also, there were only five dining chairs for six people so we couldn’t all sit up and enjoy a meal together, although it wasn’t a big deal as there was plenty of seating in the lounge.

Lovely property in fabulous location very clean on arrival.

We stayed two weeks and Jim the owner even came and changed the bed sheets and cleaned , Jim was really great . Beds comfy slept really well. Everything worked washer and dishwasher great. Only few steps to cliff walks and wonderful views. Very peaceful location. Would highly recommend. Ten mins on foot to shop and two nice pubs The stag and Harbour hotel/restaurant . We will definitely be back. A real gem of a place.

Well equipped with everything we could need. Loved it!

No live TV only catch up.

Furnishings very uncomfortable and tired. Dangerous staircase as no hand rails at the top. Kitchen tiles coming away from wall. Would benefit walk inn shower instead of bath. Front door casing loose! Desperate for some money reinvesting as the property is in a good area.

Property was great.

Only problem was Cemaes not really suitable for people with mobility issues. Also issues with TV needed addressing.

Holiday property was great , had everything we needed , and more , lovely welcome gift of wine of our choice , milk and cakes where where all greatly appreciated, Property has a downstairs bathroom and my mum who is 83 chose to sleep on the settee downstairs to be nearer the bathroom and as the stairs where a bit steep she was happy downstairs, The owner did say he would of provided a pump Up bed if we had let him know but to be honest we where fine , Situated in a lovely place , plenty of parking space and walks beach and a few shops where in walking distance , loved our stay and would definitely return , Been coming to Anglesey for years and this place was beautiful one of the best ,

A lovely house, very comfortable and with everything you need for a holiday in our favourite village of Cemaes.

The location is fantastic just a short walk to the coastal path, beach and town. Jim the owner is very friendly and helpful. The welcome gifts of wine, chocolates and flowers were very much appreciated. Hope to return next year.

My son and I and our Jack Russell had a smashing stay at tregof terrace cemaes bay very very comfortable Jim the owner is a star his generosity with starter gifts were lovely.

and for a change from anywhere else plenty of huge good quality bath towels and very comfy beds and sofas we are going back next Easter taking my granddaughter as well this time.

The property was well maintained-and only a short distance from the beach The owner Jim was very friendly and helpful.

On arrival at the property we were greeted with wine and cake. Would definitely recommend this property .

This was our third visit to Tregof having visited in 2017 & 2018.

Location is fantastic, minutes from little beach and the coastal path and lovely quiet walks around the headland. We are huge fans of Cemaes Bay and have visited many times staying in different houses. I’ve only given 3 stars as the house is tired and much in need of some TLC and updating. The sofas are the same as 5 years ago bar one ‘newer’ addition - sadly all have seen better days and are very uncomfortable and offer no support. The shower is held on by one screw at the top of the bar and swings quite freely at the bottom, the plug does not fit in the bath so not able to run a bath. The sink is in a nice modern vanity unit but the plug does not hold in the water hence you can’t even run a sink of water. The grill pan and oven were both dirty, the oven especially bad as encrusted with food on the bottom of the oven. I did not expect to have to clean an oven on holiday but I had no choice. There were only 2 of us and 2 dogs but had there been more than 3 adults, we would have struggled to sit round the dining table as there were only 5 chairs, 2 of which are very slim line and delicate wooden chairs which are only suitable for a smaller child. All in all, we were disappointed with Tregof this time round and would not stay again, we will book a different cottage for next year. The cottage was clean when we arrived and we were left a lovely cake, wine and chocolates and milk which is a nice touch. Sadly, for the cost of the house, I did not feel this was reflected in the standard of the accommodation. I don’t often leave reviews but I think the 5 stars and ‘Perfect’ description is misleading for this house.

This is a very well equipped property and was clean as expected Unfortunately I am mobility impaired and the stairs are very narrow and steep with no handrails for most of the way The beds are comfortable and linen and towels good This would suit younger fully mobile people very well

Another great stay in this lovely holiday cottage.

It is home from home and perfect for my two little grandsons and a busy spaniel! . A great location with 2 lovely beaches and walks on the doorstep. We highly recommend the chippy, there are 2 good cafes and the pizza's at the beach are good. Jim considers everything, the cottage is well equipped and spacious. A pleasure to be back in one of our favourite places!

Wonderful cottage - wonderful stay in a beautiful place.

Welcome gifts were really thoughtful and the cottage was just perfect. Comfortable and really well equipped with everything you need to make a lovely stay. I fed back directly to the owner about a faulty window catch and lamp - I’m sure he will address these as promised. We would love to come back again and highly recommend! The cottage is in a perfect spot on the far side of Cemaes.

The walks to the beach are 5 minutes. Although winter the weather was generally kind to us. We have visited Cemaes a few times before so had our bearings. The high street has a newsagent, pharmacy, pub etc. The cottage has everything you need and the internet speed and connection was fine for 3 of us. The dogs settled very quickly and any issues were communicated with the owner who responded very promptly.

This property has everything needed for a self-catering holiday with two dogs and is on a very quiet road.

James the owner was very helpful, providing delicious welcoming goodies, a well equipped kitchen and plenty of linen for a comfortable stay. The sea was a five minute walk away with breathtaking cliff walks and lots of dog friendly beaches. The property has a really useful utility area with access to the garden and beyond, where we could dry off the dogs and any wet clothes. This home-from-home had just enough normal wear-and-tear for us to feel happy relaxing with the dogs, but smart enough for us to feel we had a luxurious stay - a very welcome balance. There are no pocket-friendly supermarkets locally so we took all the groceries with us but the kitchen was well enough equipped to prepare every meal, even down to bottle openers, oven gloves and seasoning. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return to this lovely home. Thank you Jim.

Excellent location with easy access to the whole of Anglesey, comfortable accommodation but could do with a bit of tlc on the cleaning and maintenance since the last time we stayed there, a very nice welcome pack was left for us a very nice welcoming touch

2Tregof Terrace was clean & comfortable.

The only problem was the bathroom. The shower screen over the bath made it hard to use the taps to regulate the water temperature..This meant it moved & over time water had overflowed & caused mould & rot at floor level. The fact that the bathroom ( at floor level) was the only one in a property which could potentially sleep 6 was inadequate. The rental was not cheap - £1500 for three nights.

A fantastic holiday home located in one of Anglesey's hidden treasures.

Absolutely fantastic property in a great location!

We appreciated the table outside as well - what a sun trap! A great place for a chill holiday with easy access to the beach and walks. When the tide is out there is a huge amount of space on the beach which is ideal for games, though watch out for high tide as it nearly all disappears. Many paddle-boarders and kayakers were seen going out on the calm sea, though we couldn't find any places that hired them out so if you want to do sea activites then you'll probably need to bring your own equipment. Also would recommend organising a supermarket deliverly to the house when you arrive because the only shop nearby is a McColls which is rather extortionate. The nearest supermarket we found was a 30 minute drive away. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic stay, the house was clean, tidy and well equipped.

The area was great for a beach holiday and lots of doggie walks. James left a nice welcome pack for us which was very nice of him. If you want a clean tidy and lovely place to stay that’s great for walks with dogs and beaches with stunning views it’s a great place to stay. Thank you James

We enjoyed our stay here, 2 minute walk to costal path and views, short walk to the beach and village would stay again, there's a village shop, good chippy, harbour Inn and the stag do food, dogs are welcome,

we had a lovely holiday here , the cottage was lovely and clean and fresh flowers and chocolates were waiting for us on our arrival as well as fresh milk in the fridge .

This is a great dog friendly place to stay with beautiful walks straight from the door and also so close to a dog friendly pub . the back garden though small is very secure . A nice warm and cosy holiday with lots of hot water at hand and everything you need . It is at a beautiful place with a harbour, promenade and beaches a lovely holiday and very quiet . thank you

Beautiful cottage - wanted for nothing, very well equipped, amazing location.

Had an amazing rest and lots of fresh sea air.

The Owner Jim is a wonderful host and brought us a very nice Welcoming pack.

The Property is in an ideal location literally minutes away from both the coastal path and the two beaches. The property itself was very comfortable and well equipped and the back yard is a Sun trap. Tregof Terrace is very quiet and we found the local residents friendly. My wife likes a bedroom to be dark and with only Venetian blinds maybe the addition of curtains?Would love to return in the not too distant future. We loved our stay and so did our dog. All in all a big “ Thumbs Up! “

Had a lovely week at this cottage, very relaxing stay.

Cottage is well equipped, clean and the small outside patio was ideal, sat outside most evenings as the weather was nice and it is sheltered, also thanks for all the treats what a lovely gesture! Recommend Red Wharf Bay, our dog loved the beach and the various other bays. Fish and chips from the village are highly recommended! We look forward to coming back soon.

We had a lovely week staying in the village and the cottage.

The cottage is perfect for families and pets. It has everything you need and lots of extras too. The kitchen has everything for a self catering holiday. Beds and furnishings were all really comfortable and the outside space is lovely too. The sun hits this area in the afternoon and evenings so its perfect for eating outside or having a drink there. The dog was well provided for too which was a nice touch. There is parking outside the house too. The village is beautiful abd has a great beach, pub, shop , chip shop and pizza place. We will be returning again soon

The cottage had everything you could possibly need whilst away and the treats provided on arrival were extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed the coastal walks straight from the property and the pizzas from the beach cafe. I would highly recommend this property.

It's a lovely cottage.

It's very clean and cosy - it's nicely styled with a seaside cottage theme but not OTT and there are cosy throws and nice bedding, it's not cheaply done - has a kind of St Ives feel. It feels homely immediately and very relaxing. It's literally a few minutes walk from the beach and less than that from the start of the geology trail walk. The wifi is good and the TV has Netflix and all kinds of accounts if you're staying in of an evening. The owner's left chocolates, fresh cake, flowers, milk, tea, coffee and wine! You really couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Could not fault it one bit

This was one of the best holidays we had, Jim left a lovely welcome of biscuits, chocolates and wine for our arrival.

The house has everything including lovely touches like toys which my granddaughter loved playing with. The house is close to the beach and local walks. Will definitely return next year!

This is the second time we have stayed in this cottage.

We stayed last year and we're so impressed with the location, facilities etc that we had to book again and will be booking again for next year too.

2 Tregoff Terrace, Camaes Bay, is an excellent holiday cottage in a lovely seaside town.

It is comfortable and very well equipped for a family of up to six. The owner provided a generous welcome package and was available if there were any problems. The sandy beach is just a few minutes walk, as are the shops and pubs. The pretty harbour is great for crabbing and for boat trips.

We had an amazing time at Tregof Terrace, the cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need.

There was a lovely welcome gift of wine, chocolates, flowers and biscuits which is a lovely touch. The beach is a two minute walk away and the village is a short walk away with a shop and pubs , had a lovely meal at the Harbour Hotel . Would definitely recommend at stay at the cottage.

Our first time booking with Sykes and we were not disappointed.

The house was clean with all the things you would expect. Nice little walked garden to sit outside which is dog proof for all but the most determined (our setter!). In a quiet part of the village near the beach and a 10 min stroll to the village shops. It was just perfect and we had a wonderful stay.

Contacted owner who was happy to let all three stay and we had immediate response. Lovely secure yard for them and dog bowls available. Lots of dog friendly places in Cemaes too. This cottage is amazing.

The photographs do not do it justice we felt really at home. Everything is available in the cottage for your stay to make it really enjoyable and a home from home. The location of the cottage is a 2 minute walk from a dog friendly beach one way and the coastal path of North Anglesey the other way. It is in a perfect location for travelling to lots of different beaches and attractions in Anglesey. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine, Welsh Cakes and chocolates. There was also milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar. The owner Jum has got this cottage just right. The decor, furniture an appliances are of good quality which are rare in a holiday cottage that is also dog friendly. It was perfect for us and we rebooked for next May while we were still there. A wonderful cottage which is very highly recommended.

The comfort facilities & location can’t be faulted.

We stayed at 2 Tregof terrace, Cemaes for one week on 25/08/2018 and we had a fabulous week in this lovely, well equipped house.

The furnishings are comfortable and cosy, facilities are excellent with washing machine, dish washer, smart tvs in children's room and downstairs in the lounge. The beds are very comfortable and my dad and I had a double bedroom each. My teenage sons loved the loft room with its smart tv, xbox and they are keen to return, as we all are! Jim was thoughtful and left us tea bags, milk and sugar for a cup of tea on arrival. He left us chocolates/ wine which was much appreciated and a wonderful extra touch which shows that he goes the extra mile for people. All the facilities were new and Jim had thought of everything, leaving dishwasher tablets, washing powder, washing up liquid which was very helpful. There were even dog bowls in the utility room, he really had thought of everything. I only have positive things to say about this lovely terraced house, it had a homely feel and was decorated to a high standard. Across the road (30 second walk) there is a short path which leads to hillside sea views and a view of the bay and harbour. Cemaes itself is quiet and unspoilt by tourists (not sure what the locals think!). We were very surprised at how quiet it was for a bank holiday, we always managed to park by the beach and it was peaceful considering it was the 6 weeks school holidays. It is perfect location for families / dog friendly people wanting to get away from it all and enjoy days on a sandy beach. Thank you Jim for your kind hospitality :)

It was nice to meet Jim, the owner on the Monday evening. The cottage and the location were just what we needed to unwind after a particularly difficult start to the year. Everything on the booking went smoothly and the directions for getting through the village were spot on. Thanks again.

I can not recommend this place enough as we have had one of the best holidays.
