Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf

We loved our stay, the owner was lovely and very helpful.

Beautiful location, great base point to explore North Wales.

A lovely house.

Beautiful views. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The hot tub was a super bonus.

An absolute fantastic stay!

On arrival there were fresh farm eggs and a lovely cake, which the kids absolutely loved. The host was wonderful and was so helpful during our stay. It was a little tricky finding the property in the dark, but the host was extremely helpful. A handy tip would to be use what three words to find the location - what3words address to help you find this specific location. Tap to see exactly where it is: ///mango.montage.coasted https://w3w.co/mango.montage.coasted The location is fantastic surrounded by rolling hills, sheep and cows! It was around a 10 minute drive to the local supermarkets, 50 mins to Conwy castle and 50 mins to zipworld which is a must - especially if you have kids. The property was immaculate, and the facilities wonderful. The hot tub was a fantastic extra, which we all loved. I would highly recommend this property, especially when exploring North Wales.

Great property and host.

Nice touch welcolme pack and the eggs from the farm,( loved the double Yolks). Last stay was six years ago, good quality bed, towels and linen. Thank you

Great location with views.

Sofas need updating. Owners were brilliant, resolved two small problems we had. The cottage is well laid out and has everything needed for self catering. Everywhere clean and spacious. Great to sit out in the hot tub enjoying the peace and quiet. The pub with excellent food only five minutes away. Would definitely go again.

We had a lovely stay here.

The owners were welcoming and friendly. Stunning scenery. Very quiet and rural but easy to get to local village and nearby Ruthin. Lovely local walks.

We had a lovely stay at Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf , the property was clean and had everything you need for a stay.

The property was warm and cosy after returning from a day out, the hot tub was a real bonus. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.

Probably the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in.

The owner was lovely and the gifts of cake, fudge and especially the eggs on arrival were most welcome. We were even gifted more of those delicious eggs when we left. The cottage is superbly appointed and we had everything we needed for our stay. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were nice and spacious. Where this cottage truly excels though is the views over idyllic rolling countryside. We were blessed with generally good weather so it was nice to sit outside (or in the hot tub) soaking in the view and enjoying the peace and quiet. The nearest pub and shop are only five minutes drive and Ruthin only ten minutes away. We loved our stay and would return at the drop of a hat.

Excellent property and facilities

Loved it.

Great location and facilities. Great hosts - so friendly - we would love to return one day.

A really nice cottage which was fitted out with everything that we could wish for.

Lovely location with great views of the surrounding countryside. Was a little difficult to find as sat nav took us to the bottom of the hill. Maybe directions could say turn right at the big White House. Some of the sofas and seats will need updating soon as the springs can be felt through them. Owners were really friendly and the eggs, cake and wine was a lovely touch.

We had a fab time at this cottage ,everything was perfect, amazing views, perfect for us girls for a nice chilled weekend, hot tub was amazing sitting looking over the fields, even the sheep came to say hello, the wine ,fudge ,eggs and cake was a lovely surprise, nothing was to much trouble, we got lost and the owner came to find us and booked us into the local pub for Sunday lunch ,we will definitely be back

Had a fantastic week here with tye family Cottage is amazing Well stocked kitchen comfy beds Everthing you need Lovely gifts left by owners who are very welcoming

My family and I have just returned from a week long stay at Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf and we all loved it.

The cottage is in a stunning location and the views from the hot tub were breathtaking, on a clear night it is also great for relaxing and stargazing. All the amenities we needed were included and the added welcome gift of eggs, wine, fudge and cake were very kind, my 3 boys enjoyed eggs for breakfast every morning! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who greeted us on arrival and were happy to answer any questions we had. Although the location is very rural, it was well situated for several days out and we didn't need to travel far for a supermarket to stock up on essentials. We felt it was the perfect balance for being able to relax in a peaceful location but having plenty for the boys to do within an hours drive. We would absolutely love to return and there were so many parts of North Wales we didn't get a chance to visit and I will definitely book this cottage again when we do come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we made so many amazing family memories.

We had a very enjoyable week at this beautiful holiday home.

It was very well equipped and set amidst beautiful scenery, the owners had done everything to make our stay memorable and we very much hope to return.

Absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean, welcoming, decorated to a very high standard and the photos do not do it justice.

The views are breathtaking and the host was friendly and informative (leaving us a much appreciated welcome pack too). Will definitely be back

Property was amazing and Mr and Mrs Jones were Lovely hosts.

The pictures don’t do the house or the views justice. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had a lovely week away at this cottage for our anniversary.

It’s beautiful and some how better than the pictures. Theres no phone signal which we loved but great wifi. Cottage is finished to a high standard and was peaceful warm and comfortable with great views and felt very private. I loved the floor in the shower in the downstairs bedroom. There was a lovely welcome pack and we went to buy more of the fudge from the local market and I particularly liked the fact we were given large towels/ bath sheets . Loved the log burner and also the uncovered hot tub as saw loads of shooting stars. The hosts went above and beyond and helped us out with some directions. The cottage feels remote but was less than 10 minutes from the local town and shops. Was a great base to explore from and would 100 percent return.

We can not fault our stay at the cottage.

It was a lovely surprise to find the extra special treats there The eggs were as fresh as you could get them and were a lovely gesture. Caitrin came to see us a few times checking everything was ok. We had no complaints at all. We will return again

Lovely comfortable property in a great location.

The whole family without exception thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would definitely like to stay again.Katrin was a great host and very helpful.Ruthin and Bala are within easy reach and well worth a visit and for the more adventurous there are walking and bike trails nearby.A soak in the hot tub was a perfect way to end the day.

A fantastic house, spacious rooms (all with en suite) amd fantastic views.

Catrin was there to greet us and was even kind enough to put our shopping away for us! The hot tub was brilliant especially at night looking at the stars. A wonderful idyllic location.

Excellent stay at this beautiful cottage, Catrin couldn’t do enough for us.

Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Wales.

Ideal location to explore or relax. Owner was fantastic providing us with everything on arrival. Lovely surprise of treats. Will definitely return soon. 100% recommend.

A perfect stay, what lovely hosts - gave us wine and fudge, cake and fresh eggs!

Julie was lovely loads of excellent tips about where to explore and nothing was too much trouble. The views were incredible and the property has plenty of space, the pictures really don't do it justice. Tesco is 10 mins up the road and plenty of local shops in Ruthin to explore. Excellent base to explore North Wales. Kids loved it with a nearby playground and the sheep!

We loved our week in this cottage.

The views are amazing and just so lovely sitting in the hot tub looking at them. The cottage is clean and comfortable. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is a great feature, giving each guest privacy. There were lots of treats waiting for us which is so nice, with more tasty eggs than we could get through!

What a lovely place to stay.

Nice clean house with a beautiful view. The private hot top was super. Lovely and friendly hosts. Thank you for the treats and fresh eggs. We will definitly rebook.

Fantastic stay - everything was really nice - thanks for a fantastic stay.

We had the best trip, the hosts are lovely and even let the kids watch the calves being fed.

The milk/eggs and cake were a lovely touch too. The house has everything you need. We will defo visit again. Thankyou.

Everything is good.

This includes the road up to the cottage. It is a very welcoming home. The fresh eggs and cake are nice extra. We Will not have any problems to stay again when we are in the area again.

Absolutely stunning property and surroundings - nothing at all to fault.

Spotlessly clean, great facilities and the hot tub was fantastic - we will definitely be back! Host was very friendly and accommodating and had left milk, eggs, cake and wine on our arrival which was a lovely touch too.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage.

Everything was spotlessly clean. Very spacious and my teens loved having their own en suite. The kitchen is better equipped than my own kitchen! The views around the cottage were superb and we loved seeing the sheep and cows in the fields. The hot tub was the reason we chose this property and it was fabulous. Great views from the hot tub but also felt secluded and private. This is first holiday cottage that has exceeded my expectations and I would love to stay again (another first!) also the hosts were so lovely and wanted everything to be perfect for you. Thank you!

Wow!

What an amazing place! We had the perfect chilled out week end with our three kids. We already can’t wait to return! Our welcome pack was amazing too! Wine for mum & dad and cake and fudge for the kids as well as lovely fresh eggs!

This is an excellently-equipped, beautifully situated property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The views are beautiful and it was lovely to see the little lambs in the field right outside the door. Everything was very clean, the house was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Lovely welcoming touches from the owners and Catrin was very friendly and on-hand if we needed anything. Would love to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the outside area a little more! Definitely hope to return.

We had a lovelly short weekend break .

The cottage is very nice and has stunning views across the countryside. The owner really looked after us and was very hospitable. Would highly recommend others going.. Thank you very much .

Fabulous weekend away for my birthday, cottage was as described and location was great for our base.

The hot tub in the evenings was just what was needed along with the log fire.... perfect

We absolutely loved our stay at Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf, the pictures really don't do it enough justice.

Not only is the house beautiful, with high end fixings but the views that surround the house are just breathtaking. The owners were welcoming and checked during the week to see if everything was okay, which was a lovely touch. We also had some delicious cake and fudge waiting for us on arrival which the kids devoured (also milk, tea and coffee). The hot tub and its views was the families icing on the cake, being able to watch the sun go down whilst bubbling away was a dream. If you want a place to stay where you can sit back and relax whilst just staring out the window then this is the place to be. It is also near other tourist destinations and so we had plenty of days out. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing stay here once again in October 21.

Catryn is a lovely host and hope to be back again in 2022! Our 5yr old considers this her holiday home!!

Just back from 3 wonderful days at this beautiful cottage with friends.

The hostess couldn’t do enough for us from getting the fire started to the extras left for us (wine, eggs, milk, chocolate cake & fudge). The cottage was clean and comfortable and well maintained. The hot tub was the highlight and even in the middle of a storm was very warm and inviting. Will Definately be visiting again!

Cottage was beautiful and very clean.

Host very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful location. Had a lovely, relaxing girly weekend away

This cottage is in a beautiful rural location with breathtaking views.

The cottage itself is of a very high standard with everything needed to make for a great break Beautiful bifolding doors look out over the countryside A huge hot tub which was well used Lovely owner who could not have been any more welcoming and helpful and left some delicious eggs from her farm as well as some lovely wine and other treats for our visit I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and location I myself will return in the near future Definitely a five star holiday destination

Well equipped and in a great location just outside of Ruthin. Very much enjoyed hot tub evenings listening the sheep. Thanks to the owners for such a warm welcome, the fresh eggs were some of the best we’ve ever had. A great time had by all! Will certainly be returning in the future.

Beautiful cottage and location. Owners were friendly and helpful.

Owners Catrin & Bruce are lovely, nothing was too much trouble.

They provided lots of extras - wine, cake, tray of eggs & more on arrival. Ideal location with fantastic scenery. Superb accommodation. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing family holiday here.

We arrived to fresh eggs, cakes and wine and a warm welcome. The house itself was spotless and well equipped. We will definitely be back!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage itself is perfect & the location is beautiful. The property owners were excellent, looked after all of our needs & provided little extras that were much appreciated. It was so peaceful & relaxing, we are already planning to return in the future.

We had a fantastic holiday in this cottage.

The owners was lovely people and the gifts they left for us was amazing wine cake fudge and fresh eggs which was delicious. Can’t wait to go back the views was amazing and the hot tub made our holiday.

The cottage was fitted to a high standard, large airy rooms, gorgeous kitchen, en-suite to every bedroom, plenty of parking space and clean & tidy.

The hot tub was a fantastic addition and the views from it are beautiful! There are lots of places to visit in the area, it’s a great base for a holiday. The owner was very friendly and helpful & she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Lovely host, clean, comfortable and beautiful views.

Our group went to make music, and we had all the space in the world to be loud and productive, hopefully without disturbing anybody. We enjoyed every second, had an amazing week and will remember it for a long time.

Sanaans lodge is in a great location with plenty of parking, outdoor space and amazing views from the lounge which are different everyday !

The lodge is clean and modern with enough space for everyone. There is easy access to all of the roads needed to visit the great places around north wales and Snowdonia. We would definitely recommend Sanaans lodge.

We had a wonderful time at Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf.

Cathrin and Bruce were absolutely wonderful hosts and the children loved been involved with feeding the calves. The property was very comfortable, we cannot wait for a return holiday, thank you so much! Christine Patterson

A beautiful property in a peaceful location.

Catrin is a lovely hostess. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again.

Thank you to both Catrin and Bruce for being such welcoming hosts.

We had a wonderful time at Tyn Y Celyn Uchaf. The hot tub was our most favourite aspect, along with the very private and spectacular views over the valley. We hope to be back again in 2020 with the rest of the family!

The perfect holiday retreat for total relaxation.

The cottage is finished to an outstanding specification and the welcome treats (fresh eggs wine, milk, cake and fudge) were an added bonus. The hosts are most friendly and welcoming. We loved admiring the beautiful scenery from the comfort of the hot tub. Would definitely recommend and return!

Had a lovely stay here with some friends to celebrate my 30th Birthday.

Catrin was wonderful & helped my friends out to arrange a few surprises for me & even gave me a card & a bottle of bubbly :). Accommodation was fantastic, amazing standard & even better views, the small perks left from the family such as fresh eggs, milk, choccys & wine also add that extra touch. Facilities were perfect, we were able to spend the weekend in the hot tub and made good use of the BBQ. Sadly I had to leave earlier than planned, but this gives me an excuse to stay here again for longer ! Thank you for a lovely stay.

A fantastic holiday in an amazing property.

A kitchen equipped with everything you needed (the owners even provided eggs from their own chickens, a bottle of wine, fudge, cake and milk!) Spotlessly clean throughout and the most spectacular views. The hot tub was fantastic and time spent in it was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. Could not have wished for a more idyllic location, so peaceful. Thank you Catrin and Bruce!

A wonderful cottage, which looked brand new, and had everything we needed for exploring North Wales.

The hosts were very thoughtful leaving gifts of food and drink on arrival and checked several times during our stay that we were happy with everything. The location is quiet and private with stunning views and a fabulous hot tub.

Fantastic cottage with amazing hosts who were very welcoming and helpful.

The cottage is in a beautiful location and we would love to return in the future.

Absolutely loved our stay here.

The cottage is beautiful inside and out and surrounded by incredible views of the countryside, especially from the hot tub! Hosts were amazing and couldn’t have done more for us. Would 100% recommend staying here

Absolutely superb in every way.

The hosts were amazing, the cottage is far nicer even than it looks in the photos. Faultless and can not recommend highly enough. If anyone is thinking about booking this cottage, think no more and just do it! You will not regret it

Beautiful cottage, really clean and well kept.

The view was amazing as was the hot tub. The host was exemplary, can’t speak highly enough of the customer care. Highly recommended.

A delightful, spacious new barn furnished & equipped to a very high standard.

Fantastic views from every room, enjoyed setting & sitting by the log burner and sitting in the hot tub was a glorious first. The king sized comfy beds and welcome gifts were very much appreciated. Thank you to our attentive and congenial hosts, Catlin & Bruce - nothing was too much trouble. The Folk & Acoustic club at The Three Feathers was a really good find. We enjoyed trips to Conwy, Llandudno, Chester and Anglesey particularly Beaumaris (lunch upstairs at the Red Boat) and Newborough Beach. Hilary & Kelly Arkell

We had no problems at all, from booking to leaving on Monday.

Mr & Mrs Jones were very helpful and kind( given us wine / chocolates & eggs). Yes I would go again, 5 stars to these brilliant people ☆☆☆☆☆

It's not often that I'm lost for words, but I genuinely don’t know where to start with this review.

The holiday cottage was billed as 5* accommodation, so my expectations were high but the cottage exceeded them! The loacation of this cottage is great, set apart from the other cottages on site and at the top of a little hill with incredible views. Outside has been planted with flowers, some set in an enormous stone water trough and it looked very pretty. Inside, the cottage was lovely, three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite and a large combined kitchen/dining/living room. The standard of the decor was very high and everything clean and well presented. After a long journey the welcoming pack of milk, wine and chocolates was very welcome indeed, as was the large tray of eggs! At the end of the living room were bi-fold doors, meaning that you could open them up to enjoy unspoiled views across the valley and enjoy the fresh air indoors. The hot tub was beautiful; extremely clean and placed in a way that allowed privacy combined with uninterrupted views of the countryside. The owners were delightful too, checking in a couple of times to make sure that all was well and offering advice on local attractions - in a friendly and unobtrusive manner. Did this cottage deserve 5*? Absolutely and a couple more!

Cottage location was beautiful, views were lovely.

All rooms were decorated to a very high standard, will definitely be returning to it next year.

A really lovely, clean, well-stocked house in beautiful surroundings.

Catrin was really friendly and welcoming and all the extras were really appreciated - especially the eggs! The hot-tub was fab and overall we had a great stay - would highly recommend and we're planning to come back again in the future! Thanks Catrin!

the house was amazing!

under floor heating and the hot tub was awesome and the welcome gifts were just delightful! Area was so beautiful as well!

I don’t know where to begin.

.... from the cottage with all the luxury’s and excellent finishing touches it has .... wine fridge log fire under floor heating hot tub I can go on and on...., not to mention the welcome pack including wine chocolates cake eggs and milk.... to Bruce and Catrin the hosts you both go above and beyond thank you for making our stay even better.... it is our second visit and have booked our third.... and already thinking about our fourth.... by far the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed at. Would highly recommend

Everything was perfect with this cottage and the owners Mr and Mrs Jones couldn't do enough for us.

We will definitely return.

Loved everything about this cottage.

Booked a weekend away with friends to celebrate my birthday and this place made it extra special. We arrived in the dark so had a little difficulty finding the cottage but once we arrived we got the log burner going and poured ourselves a glass of wine which had been kindly left by the owner. We had a Tesco delivery arrive and was settled in and shown how to work the hot tub by the lovely owner. We couldn't of asked for more! We took a walk into Ruthin on Saturday and enjoyed the evening in the hot tub. The cottage was well equipped and beautifuly clean. I received all good comments from our friends who shared the weekend with us and we are already planning our next trip to the cottage. Would extremely recommend you take visit

Wow!

! What a stunning cottage, ensuite in everyroom, hot rub, views too many to list....the quality and attention to detail was just outstanding. The owners went above and beyond. We had chocolates, wine, milk, eggs and cake in the cottage when we we arrived. Lift to and from town in the evening and they even bought us a bottle of wine at the resturant in town!! Amazing. We will be back soon. We really didn't want to leave. Thank you very much Catrine and Bruce x

The cottage was in a good location, spotlessly clean and finished to the highest standard.

Everything we needed was provided. The owners were on hand if needed but weren't intrusive. I would highly recommend this lovely holiday cottage.

It was a fabulous cottage and we had a super time.

The owners Catrina and Bruce were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely accommodation, with friendly and helpful owners.

Wonderful cottage, with wonderful facilities in a fantastic location!

Beautiful clean cottage, lovely quite location.

Owners are very nice and helpful.

The cottage was beautiful, the photos on the site didn't do it justice.

Very comfortable & spacious rooms. Immaculatly clean. Stunning location with plenty to explore for all the family near by. One very relaxed & happy family. Would definitely return

This is a fantastic cottage set in rural surrounding in beautiful countryside.

Everything you could possibly need is provided to make for a relaxing weeks holiday is in this cottage truly 5* accommodation. The owners were there to welcome us, and were there if we had a problem, but left us to get on with our holiday. The hot tub was definitely a hit with all the family, we used it every night, even if it was a little cooler outside, it was fantastic. To sum it up, this is a spotlessly clean and well thought out property, and the downstairs en-suite bedroom would be great for elderly parents if needed.

This is the first holiday home we have stayed in that we didn't just have to put up with.

Everything about this property was first class (including the hosts). I would recommend it to anyone (as long as it's there thing).

Absolutely amazing as it had everything we wanted and more.

Plenty of towels; kitchen well equipped. Spacious rooms with en suite. Lovely hostess. Even got to see the chickens. Very very impressed

We were so impressed with Tyn y Celyn Uchaf.

The house was furnished to an extremely high standard and we loved the en suites in every bedroom, the large utility room, the fully equipped kitchen and the hot tub. Everything had been thought of and we could find no fault with anything at all about the house. The owners even provided a welcome pack of tea ,coffee, sugar, eggs, wine, cake and chocolates! And what lovely people Katrin and Bruce are, so humble about the work they do yet clearly they have put in so much effort. We thank them so much for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful surroundings, luxury accommodation, peace and quiet, what more can you ask for?!
