    “Hi, we have used this property previously many years ago (2010) when under different ownership & were really glad to return.”

    The location is stunning and it is a lovely cottage which has everything which we required for a wonderful stay. It is well appointed & a nice touch having some nibbles on arrival. Thanks. A few points for improvement: the instructions regarding the hot water could be clearer. We had no hot water for 3 days. I managed to track down the Worcester Bosch instruction manual and then through trial and error managed to secure hot water on our final day. Hot water as a default on arrival should be a ...

The upstairs loo is a hit and a miss regarding flushing, needs attending too. To Sykes Cottages: I received an email the day before my departure asking if I had enjoyed my stay intimating that I would be leaving on Tuesday 2.6.26!! My departure date as per my contract was Wed 3.6.26. This was a bit unnerving. Also on departure when I went to the key lock box, the code was fixed on the unlock code. When we arrived I opened using the code, and then scrambled it. Just wondering how this happened, had one of your agents been to the property assuming we were leaving on 2.6.26?

    Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to let us know about these issues. Firstly, please accept my apologies regarding the hot water. I can only assume that a previous guest inadvertently turned off the hot water function at the boiler. I will be adding clear labels and instructions to the boiler so that, should this happen again, guests can quickly restore the hot water without any inconvenience. Thank you also for bringing the upstairs toilet to my attention. I will inspect the flushing mechanism and arrange any necessary repairs. I always include my mobile number in the welcome information so that guests can contact me directly if they experience any problems during their stay. Had I known about the hot water issue, I would have been happy to help resolve it straight away. Regarding the key safe, I am not sure what happened there, but I can assure you that neither I nor anyone acting on my behalf accessed or altered the key safe during your stay. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. I am delighted that, despite these issues, you enjoyed your stay at Ty Capel and its beautiful surroundings, and I hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner

The tiny hamlet of Nant Gwynant is situated in the Nant Gwynant Valley, surrounded by some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the whole of the Snowdonia National Park.
