“Overall, we enjoyed our stay.”
The cottage was large enough for the three of us (myself, my wife and our 5 year old son), it’s very well located, and it was handy to have parking.
However there were some issues that would prevent us from fully recommending to others. When we arrived we found that plates and cutlery had been put back in the cupboards still dirty and soaking wet, which meant we had to spend some time washing everything up, which wasn’t a great start to our stay. Also, I think there’s maybe an issue with the drains as there was a smell in the bathroom which spread to the rest of the downstairs. There’s also a slight smell of dog because the cottage is dog friendly, which might put some people off. Finally, the parking (while welcome) was very tricky even in our medium sized car, so might not be possible for those in a larger vehicle.

We are sorry you experienced this with the crockery, it is the guests responsibility to ensure that they have washed up to a standard that they would expect to find for themselves, however, we have asked our cleaners to try to make time to check these things. We will certainly check out any drain smell. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
