Millgate House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millgate House with the parking spot being very convenient.

The house has spacious bedrooms though the living area is compact. Though perhaps a better description is Cosy. There are plenty of places to visit, with Llandudno just down the road and Angelsey surprisingly close on the A55. We particularly enjoyed the National Trust's Plas Newydd, even though we didn't see one of the Red Squirrels. Just one VERY minor gripe, the cereal bowls were tiny.

The accommodation was nice but my concern was there was know back door nor back garden .

The settee was quite low and uncomfortable it would have been nice if there had been a little garden to sit in in the afternoon ‘ there was no where to put your rubbish only in a black bag so the owners have to dispose of it .

Lovely cottage to discover Conwy and Anglesey.

It was clean and comfortable, the hosts were available for questions and very accommodating. The place is right next to the castle so you do get the occasional tourist group outside but at night the noise level was good. Also from the bathroom you can almost touch the ancient castle wall which is kinda cool. ;)

We had a really lovely stay in Millgate House it was the cleanest holiday house we have stayed at everything was perfect.

The top floor bedroom is excellent and the bed is really comfortable also the en-suite bathroom is so spacious. The area in and around Conwy is perfect everything on hand on your doorstep to see and do, very good pubs, restaurants, and chip shops a stone's throw away. We will definitely book to stay here again. Very good communication from Rachel and Lorna.

walks close by and right in the centre of town, handy for collecting a breakfast from edwards the butcher. erskine arms just across the road great food. we enjoyed our break and would use mill house again.

Cosy, relaxing and enjoyable.

Amenities were excellent as were the hosts. Close to LLandudno, Great Orme and Rhos on Sea. This property had 2 parking spaces and was right next to Conwy Castle.

Loved our stay.

The accommodation is clean and tidy. Very comfortable in an ideal location. The property would benefit from a few extras for cooking and reheating food for the microwave like casserole dishes but it wasn't a real problem. We would diffenatly recommend it to others. Although it is near the railway station you cannot hear any trains because of the castle walls

We had a lovely stay in Millgate House.

It is ideally situated for exploring Conwy and Roth Wales. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed, a home from home.

The towel radiator in the top floor bathroom didn’t work.

The house is very much as described and the owners are friendly and accomodating.

If you take a pet be aware that there is no outside space in the property but there is an open space immeditaly next door. The front door is quite difficult to lock and un-lock and could do with some attention. The only other small point and this sounds petty but its very difficult to carry two full cups up the two flights of stairs as they are waited to the front and tip froward in your grip and risk spilling, therefore you have to make two trips.

A lot of thought has gone into this property both furnishings and contents were of a high quality.

Every inch so well used .It had super comfortable beds and great for coming back and watching a film of an evening.(Perhaps a poufe to put your feet up,would be a welcome addition). The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The listing's didnt mention there was washing up liquid,teatowels etc and a hairdryer which were all an added bonus. The recommendations for the local shops and takeaways were helpful too & the cupboard with games and books was a nice touch. Owners keep on doing what you're doing. We loved this place,would highly recommend it and we'll be back again soon.

Loved millgate house, everything you needed for a lovely stay.

Right next to castle walls and castle, beds were very comfy and welcome pack was a nice touch, close to shops, pubs and cafe's and good base to travel around area Would have love couple of chairs to sit in castle gardens which is on your doorstep for a picnic. Loved the harbour and histrionic feel of conwy. Traveled to surrounding area like Snowdon mountain railway and Llandudno . Happy to recommend .

Had a brilliant stay lovely cottage and spotlessly clean ideal for going exploring the area(Llandudno,Welsh mountain zoo, bodnant gardens and of cause Conwy castle next door) and knowing on your return the big bonus of parking right by your door thanks for a great time

We found the property had a really strong dog smell even though we had a dog it was really prominent on the sofa.

The living room was very cramped, more so than the pictures appeared. Appreciate it was town centre but we felt it was really noisy which would put us off coming again. In hindsight this wasn’t the property for us due to the lack of outside space and any real natural light. We left a day early as the smell was just too much. If we could have even opened the door we would have felt some air in the room but this wasn’t possible. Location was good for restaurants and nice food.

Had a fantastic week at millgate house.

Spotlessly clean,ideal location to explore conwy. Although it had no back garden,step out the front door and 20 yards away depending on the time,you had your own field to enjoy with views of the castle and wall. The allocated parking bay an absolute bonus. One possible improvement if any really, would be a full size fridge freezer situated in the boot room. We will definitely be looking to rebook next year. The property was lovely and exactly as described.

Parking space was a real bonus. Beds were comfortable and shower and heating all worked well. Minor point, I would change the air freshener perfume, it's a little off putting.

A fantastic cottage set in a brilliant location in the centre of Conwy, within walking distance to all the local shops restaurants and pubs.

The allocated private parking space was a added bonus. Immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard throughout with lovely attention to detail in all the home furnishings. Would highly recommend and we would definitely book a return visit.

Excellent communication from the owners.

Cottage was very clean and extremely well looked after. Lovely welcome pack and the bottle of milk left in the fridge was much appreciated. However, I wish I had read the cottage’s description more thoroughly as the lack of any outside space makes life difficult when you have a dog. Also, although there is parking nearby other people park directly in front of the cottage’s front door and with the pavement being narrow it made it difficult to get in and out of the only entrance to the property.

Lovely cottage in great position, lovely and warm, beds so comfortable, bathrooms really nice with underfloor heating and heated towel rails loved the downstairs room with the washer, hanging room and downstairs toilet Kitchen modern and well equipped The only downside for us in the sitting room the sofas were dated and uncomfotable two 2seaters would be better The other thing is the parking space really good right next to the cottage and space for two would like the thank owners as everything was lovely and clean with the bedding and towels also the barbrith was best we have ever had

Gorgeous little cottage perfectly placed for the town centre and surrounding areas.

Loved the quirkiness of it and the two parking spaces were a real bonus. Conwy is a beautiful town with lots of lovely shops and cafes/restaurants/bars. Would definitely stay again

The cottage isn't suitable for the aged or infirm because of the stairs, the dog had to be let out of the front door onto a busy street, the photos of the lounge made it look like it was bigger.

An excellent property well located.

The only difficulty is having to pass through one bedroom to access the other which may limit the property letting.

Our stay at Millgate House in one word was perfect.

There was not one complaint about the house. The comfort and cleanliness was faultless. There was everything we needed in the house. We have stayed in Conwy many times but this house was the best to stay in. The only thing we were disappointed in was having to leave and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much, the perfect week is the only way I can describe it.

We found Millgate House super clean warm and comfortable.

The toilets on every floor were very useful. It was in a good location. The down side was that the bedrooms were accessed through each other. Also I feel the second floor stairs would have benefited from a second hand rail as the first floor had. The owner/managers were helpful on the one occasion we contacted them.

A beautiful, well presented and very clean property in the heart of Conwy town (with parking!

). It is a real home from home, and has everything that you could possibly need whilst away. The welcome pack including fresh milk, was really appreciated, and Rachel and Lorna were both extremely helpful hosts. We will definitely return.

Fantastic cottage fab little town can't beat it

This property is in a great location and we found it to be extremely comfortable, clean and very well appointed.

All the equipment worked perfectly, including a very good sized television. The water was always hot, the bathrooms very modern and the beds extremely comfortable. It was all positive with no negative issues at all - and the welcome tray with the delicious Bara Brith loaf was a nice touch. We were two old friends so having one bedroom through the other was not a problem for us and it would be fine for a young family. That might be a bit less successful for two couples staying together. We really enjoyed our stay in the Cottage and recommend it highly..

Beds comfortable, kitchen easily worked. Heating good, tv, too. Very handy location and parking. One sofa low and in need to replacement. Welcome pack with coffee, milk and cake. Would return.

A lovely clean and comfortable town house, with parking just a stone's throw away an absolute bonus in Conwy.

Great location for self catering get away, being in the town lots of pubs and cafes just a stones throw away, plus Spar shop open 7 days a week early until late at night also local off licences, chip shops, bakeries etc so you can decide meal by meal what to have and where with no need to plan ahead just see what you feel like - go out or get something to eat in back to the cottage.

Cottage itself is over 3 floors very clean modern & nicely done boutique style I'd say, with a toilet on every level it's well thought out and with private parking highly recommended

blind broke pully at the side down stairs ,water soaking in to the work top near sink and sofa a bit tired but saying this it a good place to stay and decorated very well we enjoyed our week.

Bonus parking for two cars would go again

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Millgate House.

The property is in a perfect location right in the centre of Conwy with the added bonus of parking. The decor is beautiful throughout and to a high standard. Communication was really good and there was a lovely welcome pack on arrival. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay in the area and there are plenty of nice places to eat in the town. The Erskine Arms opposite is superb and lovely inside. Despite being in the town there was no noise and we felt totally relaxed. We loved the property so much we will definitely come back. Lovely walks nearby on the Conwy mountains and along the river at Betsw y coed. A beautiful dog friendly beach too at Morfa beach. You can also visit the smallest house in Britain which is in the town. The only thing we would change is the seating in the lounge. For 2 people we managed ok but it wasn’t that comfortable. If the sofa was replaced with a bigger L shaped one which seats 4 adults, rather than having the rocking chair and table that would make this property perfect. Thanks for a great stay in your lovely home and we look forward to coming back again.

After reading the reviews of Millgate House we thought the property would be adequate for two, but sadly not.

The seating would not accommodate four people and was extremely uncomfortable badly in need of replacement. There were no wardrobes just a rail, which was too close to the bed. We always rent properties for four people to ensure comfort. By Tuesday we had had enough and decided to come home. I might add we are average sized people, not overweight.

This property not only met, but exceeded our expectations.

A fantastic well-presented town house oozing history, right in the centre of town, and a brilliant base from which to explore the surrounding area. Great local pubs too, to while away a few hours after a day's walking.

A charming cottage, feels like part of the castle wall.

Excellent location for Conwy and surrounding areas. Close to good cafés and restaurants. Bus and train links within short walking distance. Beautifully presented and spotless.

What a fantastic place to stay; could not fault a thing about Millgate House.

Lorna and Rachel have really put lots of thought and effort into the house from the decor, to the layout and all the lovely finishing touches…just perfect. We are already thinking of a second stay later in the year.

Everything was very good.

The cottage has an excellent washing machine with a selectable one-hour wash/dry cycle. 0nly disadvantage is the fact that the front door frontage is used as a car park and pedestrian walkway. Difficult to unload luggage and enter the house. Also, people (tourists) walking past the lounge widow most of the day. Apart from that everything is 5 stars.

Lovely accommodation, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully warm for a late-winter week.

Single beds extremely comfortable, bedroom spacious enough, ensuite well-appointed and spotless. The boot room is a very useful space. The kitchen is well-planned for function, and all appliances and usual equipment available, other than dishwasher (who was too busy editing his photos of the stunning locations). The living space is small but cleverly planned for comfortable TV-watching. The wi-fi was perfect. The location of Millgate House is central to Conwy, and the parking a few paces away. North Wales itself is a wonderful mix of stunning countryside, with Snowdonia close by, and easily accessible coastal towns.

Millgate House is a lovely property & right in the centre of Conwy.

The cottage is very tastefully decorated & very cosy for 2 people & 1 small dog. I think it would be a little small for more than 2 people as the downstairs is very small. Great to have a private parking space right next to the cottage. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for exploring Conwy and the local area and the car parking spaces were invaluable. I mentioned to our hosts that we may be a late arrival. When we got to the cottage the lights were on and it was lovely and warm. Little touches like that made all the difference. Thank you.

One of the newest decorated property that we ve stayed in.

Great taste, design, quality items throughout. Ground floor living kitchen( also a small room with toilet and basin) then up the stairs to first floor bedroom (2single beds with shower and toilet-beds sizes were OK for 2 adults) To go to the second bedroom you do have to go through first bedroom but we didn't see any issues with that. The second bedroom has got a double bed and a big bathroom with bath and toilet. The communication with the host was excellent We had space to park 2 cars which is a bonus. Thank you very much for the experience

House has loads of character and was immaculately clean with everything you could want for your stay.

What a wonderful place, Conwy is a beautiful town and this place is right in the middle of everything.

The rear wall is actually part of Conwy Castle!!! Perfect parking right next to the building for two cars and a visitor's place is the next building along. Ever so tidy, basically newly refurbished and the beds are oh so comfy. A great place.

Overall, we loved the house, its location and, most especially, the provision of two parking spaces.

Cleanliness was exemplary. The ground floor seating area was slightly small for four adults, but good enough for a holiday period. The absence of a dishwasher is understood on space grounds, but we missed one! The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine, and, for us, access to the second bedroom through the first did not present a problem.

A nice property but not somewhere I would choose to stay again.

Good central location but it was quite a cramped 1 bedroom cottage with the middle floor converted to a walkthrough second bedroom. We were a couple staying away but if we had been with friends or children this would have been a disaster when trying to go to bed / get up in a morning. We picked it for the convenience of being in the centre of Conwy but no garden was not as easy as I thought with a dog, and not ideal in summer even if we hadn’t had a dog. Also was a late decision so options were more limited. Very clean. Comfortable memory foam beds. Good parking given it’s location. Poor water pressure and water heat which wouldn’t bode well for winter stays. Nice equipped kitchen but quite cramped (see small cottage) and a very small under counter fridge / freezer).

Having to take your rubbish to local bin collection point a bit annoying but can't be helped. I should have liked to have a spare key as holidaying with adult son and we had different timings. But a great holiday liovely place.

Did not realise that to get to the main bedroom you had to go through the second bedroom and the living area good for two adults but a bit cramped for four, better for two adults and two kids!! We were two adults and thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.

Lovely house right in the centre of Conwy.

Parking at the property, which was a real bonus. Kitchen really well equipped. Very comfy bed. Fresh and clean throughout. All in all, would highly recommend.

A wonderful location.

So convenient for all Conwy has to offer. The house is spotlessly clean and has been modernised to a very high standard. Our only negative comment is that we weren't aware from the description of the property that to get to the bedroom on the second floor we had to walk through the bedroom on the first floor.

Excellent property in prime location to vist town with easy local private parking.

Cottage was booked fairly last minute for a long weekend break.

House is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Main Street, is easy to find and with the added bonus of designated parking. Received email instructions for entry. The cottage was extremely clean and the beds comfortable. One think not mentioned on the details is the third bedroom is accessed through the twin room. Not a problem for us but maybe for some families. Minor irritation was the TV. There is no Ariel reception and all TV has to be watched through the apps. To rectify this simply would be to add a sky TV box. On contacting the owners they were very helpful and offered to come and show me how to watch live TV, you can but it’s through an app, so no channel hopping. Some people may struggle with this. You can sign in to Netflix or Prime but of course you need a subscription. Overall the positives outweigh the negatives and I would recommend the cottage. We had an enjoyable few nights.

Really nice place, well kept and recently been completely decorated.

The owners were very quick to respond and I can highly recommend this property. It is in ideal spot in the town with a really nice pub almost opposite.
