The Keep

A great house for a big group with spacious bedrooms.

Good location with easy walk into the town and lots of restaurants nearby. We had an issue with fruit flies which maintenance attended to quickly. Plenty of lounge seating however some of the sofas have lost their shape and not comfortable.

A beautiful house with everything you would need very well positioned with amenities close by great free parking we had 15 family members celebrating anniversary’s and a 21st birthday so plenty of room for us all.

as for sleeping everyone said they had slept so well on the very comfortable beds which was a big plus thank you

This was a last minute booking and did not disappoint.

The only issues was a couple of us found the beds uncomfortable ( each to their own though) and there was lots of fruit flies in the kitchen and bo matter what we did we could not get rud of them, spoke to the handy man about it and he said its normal for that time of the year close to the sea but other than that the property is very well equipt ...Very spacious and right next to the sea

This is a beautiful house with every facility in great order.

On booking, you access the property app which shows you around the property and the surrounding area. There is great emphasis on the inventory and the guests' responsibility to maintain it with a wall chart for breakages. The kitchen shelves are labelled with '20 wine glasses', 20 beer glasses', etc. Any breakages 'may affect your holiday bond of £1000.' Unfortunately the totals do not match the actual numbers on the shelves. There is no wallchart and no way to contact the owners to report it. There are 'DO NOT' signs on almost every wall for every aspect of life in the house which we found rather intimidating

Good location.

Ample on street parking. Close to pubs, shops and restaurants. Quiet at night. Only EE phones work in the property, or nearby, clearly not the owners fault, an issue currently with the MP. The top floor room I was in had a winter duvet, needs a lighter one. Front room curtains do not close, struggled to see the tv as a result. Would I go back? Definitely, all round it was a good venue for a large family party. The items mentioned are just niggles which are eeasily resolved.

Overall this was a great place to stay, accommodation was perfect for our group as we had 3 families on holiday together, every bedroom had a en-suite all beautifully set out and very clean, loved that each room was named.

The kitchen was well equipped and the dining table was a great place for eating together and enjoying time playing board games. The pier was a nice walk away and there was plenty to do round about for a short break. The only problem was the outside bin had a lot of flies and there were loads of fruit flys in the kitchen which was tricky for preparing food. Most likely due to the hot weather we had during our stay. Contacted the owner and they brought fly spray and tried to arrange an earlier bin collection, it didn’t spoil our stay though, a lovely place to stay. Our kids were asking if we could go back next week on the journey home

We were a booking of 13 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs.

We were celebrating my father's 80th birthday. The house was immaculate. Large, clean and beautifully decorated throughout. I did not see one cobweb which is not always the case when renting houses. Everything was in walking distance to all the activities Llandudno had to offer. This house is a credit to it's owners.

Well equipped beautiful house for family gathering 11 Adults 9 Children.

We have all had a wonderful time all the more due to fabulous weather.

Family gathering celebrating an 80th birthday.

3 generations stayed aged from 24 to aged 80. Lovely large house, light and airy. Spotlessy clean, Nicely decorated with personal touches in each bedroom. Handyman and housekeeper very nice and friendly, helped with bins on emptying days. Nice walk along the promenade into Llandudno town. Some nice independent shops/cafes a short walk away. Nice small enclosed outside area and hot tub. Plenty of cooking utensils etc for preparing meals. Good cooker, great fridge/ freezer space for large groups. We will definitely be visiting Llandudno again.

We were a group of 20, whilst the property is furnished nicely - the sofas are extremely uncomfortable, mattresses too.

Most of the rooms have ‘en-suites’ it’s not practical showers & small, hardly any water comes out. The main family bathroom is absolutely fine so most of us had to use that. The bins have no lids & there’s was so so many little flies/ fruit flies - we had to leave the bins outside the kitchen door due to how bad it was. The kitchen oven & trays etc were not very clean, kitchen had 2 big fridges which is great. The hot tub was not clean there was grey dirt with the foam & dirt inside the bottom - had this been cleaned better would have been lovely to use. The location of the property is absolutely brilliant - right next to the pier and beach. We did leave notes in the book provided in the kitchen to give feedback. This property with some more cleanliness to the kitchen/bins/hot tub & investing in good sofas that don’t sink in as you sit & good firm mattresses & a solution for the water in top floor showers would benefit better experience.

We were very pleased with the house and the location.

However there are some things that need to be brought to your attention. 1. The showers on the second and third floor lacked pressure particularly when in use in the morning by multiple people, 2. On the Friday (morning) we had no hot water for washing up or the showers. We did use the boost button but to no effect. Radiators were working. This was frustrating as we have small children in the party. 3. There was no mobile signal in the property which made contact to report the problem quite difficult. It would be worth letting potential clients know this. 4. As mentioned we had small children in the party so working stair gates would be beneficial. 5. There was no Airfryer available that we could find although advertised. We did document the above in the maintenance book which was left in the property. Regards Robin

Our stay at The Keep was wonderful the house was beautiful.

There was 17 of us and plenty of room for us all. Bonus having our own bathrooms, we did have an issue with the Hot tub on the first two days we were there. We couldn't use it the first day. Sent a message and Gaz came round to fix it within 15mins. We had to call Gaz out again the following day as the jets kept tripping the power off. Gaz came back but we found if we turned the jets down it didn't trip out. Hot tub is controlled by the owners on there app. We needed to get in touch to turn the heat up. We had no hot water first day but Gaz came round and sorted that for us. Big shout out to Gaz who was really help full. Bus stop out side the No:12 every 20 mins. Pull out bed in games room had no idea how that works. We had two kids that wanted to stay in games room but couldn't work the bed out. We would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful family weekend at The Keep .

It’s a beautiful property, very clean and well equipped, and it is well situated for the North Shore beach and attractions. We will be back!

Brilliant weekend away with friends and there family for there sons 16 th highly recommended Could do with leaving a pot or two of chlorine to add to hot tub as it got grubby took awhile to filter away Nice touch would be robes to put on after bn in tub as sun goes early round the back (I work for holiday lets ) and the lid was hard to get back Other thank that cleanliness was amazing

The property was warm and comfortable and as described but it was disconcerting to have notices in every room that said please Be Quiet .

How quiet ? We did not use the hot tub or sit outside twenty people will make some noise. Most people are well mannered and thoughtful and find your notices off putting.

Fabulous house for a family or friends get together.

Very warm and comfortable and caters for all ages. The games room was very well equipped and the hot tub a bonus. Kitchen well supplied with everything we would need. Lots of room in the dining area and lounge too. Near to the famous promenade, pier and town. Plenty to do and see in Llandudno. Owners were easily contactable and welcomed us. Would highly recommend The Keep. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Perfect for the 21 of us.

Shame the weather was rubbish but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. The house was amazing, all christmasy and we didn’t get under each other’s feet once. The beds were soo comfortable we all had a great nights sleep. Games room was fabulous for the older kids gaming. Would most definitely stay again. Next time better weather

When we arrived I have to say our party was impressed a lovey clean and tidy home.

However our stay turned sour when a poorly hung large print fell from a height and hit me on the head, the result of this was a 12 hour stint in A&E a CT scan and concussion, the most disappointing part of this and the reason for the review the property owners, did not ask once if I was ok, did not apologise just thanked me for my feedback and said it had been fixed. We had a range of ages from 77 to 12 it could have been a lot more serious if it had hit one of my aunties or my niece. I am disgusted and shocked by the lack of response from the owners, we have used Sykes on a number of occasions and have never had any problem's with other properties we have stayed in. This review would have been very different if some concern had been shown.

The property was an excellent base and size for our 3 day stay in Llandudno.

Spacious and comfy with everything you need. Couple of little niggles with the boiler losing pressure and needing refilling a few times (a heads up was given on this in the briefing from the owners prior to arrival) and the shower in the main bathroom awkward to turn off properly, but they were minor and just need noting and seeing what can be done to sort them by the owner. Overall a fantastic experience for 14 of us with everything you need for your holiday -free parking is also a big bonus in Llandudno! A lot of thought has gone into the property and you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again, we’ve enjoyed a lot.

Celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary with family of 16.

We had a wonderful weekend with lovely weather. The Keep is well stocked with everything you need and is a beautiful well kept house. It is in a good position, especially for the beach which is just a couple of minutes away. The beds are also very comfy, and we loved the big table and lounge which accomodated all the family. There are plenty of things to do in Llandudno...the children loved the train ride up the Great Orme and also the toboggan ride. There is a good choice of restaurants and a good shopping centre nearby, together with local shops and a Co-op. We would certainly return and would recommend staying there.

A large family gathering stayed at The Keep for a 3 night stay the week before Christmas.

Prior to arrival we received a detailed manual regarding the property with videos on each room so we could decide where best to place everybody. The property was perfect, gorgeous bedrooms, furnishing lovely, Christmas decorations around the whole house - felt immediately like home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Great location! Would definitely recommend to friends/family.

Our party of 14 were very impressed with the furnishing standard of the house" The Keep", but at the same time dissatisfied with the lack of Hot water in all of the bathrooms for the first day, no showering was possible (except in cold water) which for several of the guests who arrived late evening straight from work was very disappointing, some of the bathrooms had no toilet paper and none of the bathrooms had soap to wash your hands (even in cold water) In some of the bathrooms including the one I had had no running water in the wash basin either so when you had used the toilet?

???? The conclusion of all the guests was the furnishing fixtures and fittings were excellent but stingy on items of kitchen products, 1 bin bag, horrible red bitty tea towel, 1dish cloth which was similar to tissue paper. Never the less we enjoyed Llandudno and was blessed with good weather, and we all arrived home safe.

The Keep is a fantastic place for big groups and caters for everything you can think of.

High level of cleanliness, very comfortable for sleeping and lounging in the evenings. Kids loved the games room and hot tub. Great location close to the main promenade. The hosts were very responsive and flexible and a pleasure to deal with. We have very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
