The accommodation is situated in a brilliant location with great views across to the sea and the distant hills.

When we arrived the place was spotless clean and very welcoming. The facilities are great , everything you need for a pleasant holiday. The owner was always there on the phone if you had any issues . The setting was very dog friendly, good fencing all around the property and a short walk to the coastal walks or beach. Overall a great place to stay.

A wonderful home that easily accommodated us all (7 adults, 2 young children and a dog) The beach is just across the roads and the views are outstanding.

Easy walk to the seafront and shops with no shortage of places to eat and drink. The house was spotlessly clean and comfy and we hope to go back one day .

! We fell in love with this beautiful home from home when we stayed in November, so we couldn’t wait to return in the summer. Even during a heatwave, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Steve + Jennie have created such a welcoming retreat in a fantastic setting, just a stone’s throw from the beach and castle. We enjoyed daily walks along Marine Beach with our mini Dachshund, scenic drives, and making the most of the stunning coastline and National Park. Thank you for another wonderful holiday and for helping us make even more memories at Tarth Y Môr. We already can’t wait to come back!

What a fabulous property!

We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and this one was probably the best. Beautifully clean and spacious, the photographs don’t do it justice really. Plenty of parking at the front and good to have a gate we could shut. Lovely suntrap garden at the back of the property. Lovely open plan downstairs living areas, well equipped kitchen and utility room. Downstairs cloakroom very handy and the children loved the games room. Serious pool played all week! Very comfortable bedrooms upstairs. Ideally located in Criccieth, you could park the car up and not use it if so required. Steve was a great help before we went, very kind and prompt over queries. We were three generations of grandparents, children and grandchildren and it was perfect! Thank you Steve and Jennie, will definitely be booking Tarth y Mor again.

We stayed here as a family with our 3 children (agreed 15, 14 and 11) and absolutely loved the house.

The owner clearly cares about the property and this is reflected in the excellent upkeep of the house. This house ticked all the boxes - spacious, very clean, comfortable sofas and beds, lovely modern shower rooms, well equipped kitchen, fun pool table, amazing location (loved being so close to the sea and perfect for exploring the best Welsh castles) ... all topped off with a helpful and friendly owner. It really felt like a home from home and I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was great again.

A beautiful property right on the sea front within walking distance to all amenities and the beach.

We managed to park 3 cars comfortably on the drive. Rooms were spacious and request of splitting the beds was confirmed prior to our arrival. A suggestion maybe to move the twin beds to one of the non en-suite rooms so that the master room remains a double with the en-suite. Kitchen had all the equipment and utensils we required with a breakfast bar and dining table to seat all 8. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. A suggestion for the upstairs shower to have a handle to support people less stable on their feet getting out of the shower. Overall a lovely property.

What's not to like about Tarth Y Mor?

It's a wonderful place & probably the best we've ever stayed in - we stay in 2 or 3 a year & have done for 30+ years. The views from the property over the sea & hills are awesome. The sofas & beds are really comfortable & everything's maintained to a high standard. One thing we've found lacking in a lot of other properties is lighting but not in Tarth Y Mor - there's plenty of overhead lights which are supplemented by lamps. As an electric car driver it was also great to be able to plug my car in and start charging without having to download an app. We had a wonderful, relaxing week there - helped by dry weather (unheard of in Wales in December?) & will certainly be booking again in the future.

Just back from a fantastic week at Tarth Y Mor, a stunning house in a stunning location.

It was definitely a home from home , jam packed with lovely artwork and gorgeous home furnishings so much more than a holiday rental . The house is literally right on the beach and the sea view and Mountain View’s are out of this world. Steve the owner is wonderful and on hand if you need anything , I would 100% recommend this property.

Our week here was brilliant.

We arrived to a lovely warm home which was immaculately clean and with all we needed for the week. We were a group of 8 and found we had lots of space and the property was an ideal base for our week. We will be back!!

Loved everything about the holiday.

The house was amazing. The owner was so helpful and friendly and efficient. The house had everything you needed and more. Including binoculars which were used on the last evening to watch 5 dolphins swimming in the sea opposite the house. The billiard table was a big hit, used every day. The coffee wagon which was set up on the green opposite the house was another big hit. Lovely people serving. Could go on. Loved it and want to go back. Sykes also played their part. Even though I was late with requesting a change to beds they got it sorted. Also very efficient with information. Thank you.

Very lovely and spacious home, we've already booked for next year.

2 keys were useful so was the welcoming pack and the binoculars. Couple of suggestions, a chair in 3 of the bedrooms would be handy. Air fresheners in bathrooms as the drains smelt sometimes. There were lots of dead flies in the conservatory upon arrival. This was the only room that wasn't cleaned. We've been visiting the Lynn Peninsula for the past 15 years and this house is by far the best we've stayed in.

Second time staying in this beautiful house and did not disappoint.

Location and views are A1 . The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. Games room was a great hit ( haven’t played pool in years ) The parking was more than adequate with a car charger . Looking forward to returning, a very relaxing enjoyable stay .

Our second visit to Tarth y Mor, definitely our first choice cottage for Criccieth.

It’s a lovely, spacious, well equipped house with fantastic views and the visiting coffee cart is a bonus. Great location for dog walks and a good base for exploring the area, we didn’t want to come home.

Great layout and spacious for 5 adults and 3 children and the dog. We all had a fantastic time exploring the local area and then playing games around the big table. Kids particularly enjoyed all the TVs and pool table. Great local fish and chips! Beautiful decor and artwork, the week flew by and we didn’t want to leave! Thank you

A great property in an excellent position, which is very nicely furnished and comfortable.

The views are superb from the front of the property overlooking the sea and mountain backdrop. It’s in an ideal position for walking dogs along the coastal path or the pebble beaches in front. The green in front of the property serves as a local hub with plenty of seating and a fabulous trailer that comes on a Friday,Saturday & Sunday with the most delicious home baked cakes and they serve a great coffee and tea etc Criccieth is a wonderful place to visit which really hasn’t changed over the years.

What an outstanding property.

Extremely nicely furnished and very comfortable. Lots of thought gone into the decor and accessories. Beautiful beach front location. If the couple with the coffee cart are there (weekends only), I recommend that too! Great and quiet location for exploring the area. We were a family of 4 (kids 13 and 11) and grandparents. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic property, the best we’ve stayed in!

Absolutely amazing property with fabulous views.

The property had everything we needed for our stay and more. Lots of personal touches, a lovelty welcome pack, that set us up for a lovely breakfast the morning after we arrived, plenty of loo roll on arrival, which is not always the case in some holiday cottages. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and kitchen were also provided. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was immaculately clean. The games room was greatly appreciated on an evening and we had lots of laughs in there. After been there a couple of days, Steve the owner, messaged to check everything was ok and to say let him know if we neede any help with anything. We would highly recommend Tarth Y Mor and will definately be returning.

The best we have ever stayed in. The home was amazingly clean and had everything we needed. The owner was brilliant and so friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location and really clean and comfortable.

The only complaint is we could not get tv in lounge to work most of the time and it was always disconnecting from the Internet, if you could sort this out it would make for a much better holiday.

Wow!

Where do I start! We have stayed in many properties in Criccieth over the years and this is by far the best we’ve stayed in. It had everything we needed for our extended family. My elderly mother was comfortable, the space for a large family was amazing and the boys enjoyed the games room. The house was exceptionally clean and everything was of such high quality. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything I needed to cook for everyone. The conservatory was fabulous and a lovely place to sit when it rained one evening. The welcome pack of local goodies was also a nice touch. The view from the front bedrooms was amazing. I wish I lived in that house! Thank you.

Excellent accommodation, all facilities first class

Tarth Y Mor was a lovely spacious house for our family holiday.

The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of crockery, glassware and cutlery. The beds were very comfortable aiding a good nights sleep. The 2 front bedrooms have amazing views looking out to sea. The pool table in a separate games room is a lovely addition to the house which the family enjoyed. There was also a good selection of board games too in the games room. I would definitely stay in this house again if away with a big group again.

The property was lovely and we enjoyed staying there.

It's gac everything we needed fir our stay and lovely views. I have only request being a short person it would have been helpful to have a step of some kind to reach the top cupboards.

Beautiful house in a great position on the seafront.

Very well equipped and a lovely welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Only thing missing was a coffee machine but a mobile coffee shop parked outside most days. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again if we come to Criccieth.

Lovely holiday rental and very tastefully modernised.

Very spacious with everything you could wish for and great being so close to the beach with the sea views. Short walk into Criccieth town centre and close to other towns and attractions. Would definitely love to stay here again. The only snag we found was there was no generously large cooking pot for family of 6 (husband made us all soup) - we bought one from Tesco's and took it home with us.

Stayed in this property with a three generation family and 3 dogs after confirming with Sykes/Menai that this was ok with owner.

Property is excellent, near to beach and ten minutes to centre ( there is a short cut through housing estate at back). Couldn't fault the property, however early the first morning we had a call from Menai to say that it had been 'reported' we had 3 dogs and owner only allowed two. After explaining we had already agreed this with Sykes we were then told there must have been a mistake on their behalf. We asked how somone had known about the dogs so quickly as they had run straight into rear garden from the car. We were told it could have been a neighbour etc even though the garden isn't particularly overlooked. We had a message from the owner apologising for the intrusion but this message wasn't picked up until few months later. On further investigation we realised there is cctv on the front and rear of the property. The only explanation we could see was that they had been spotted on the camera at the rear which must be actively used. When owner was asked, we received no reply. We understand for security reasons that cctv can be used and must be made known to guests. Although there is a mention in the guide within the house it doesn't say it is used when guests are staying. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend to others but to be honest this made us feel a little uneasy

Great location, amazing comfortable holiday home with great faculties, the pool table is a definite win, we all loved playing.

Fantastic holiday cottage in a lovely town.

The view of the sea and coastline from the house were amazing and helped to make a great holiday. We normally like to go to different places but would definitely go back again. The house was very well equipped throughout and very comfortable (beds, sofa, seating etc). Although we were a party of six, the house would easily accommodate 8 people with plenty of space, kitchen / utility facilities and seating areas. The pool table and board games were a great addition and gave us plenty of entertainment in the evenings along with the smart tv’s. Thank you for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Lovely stay at Tarth y Mor!

The house is beautiful, newly refurbished, very clean and in a perfect location with a gorgeous view of the sea from the living room. A fully enclosed garden meant the children and our little dog was safe, with a sea front walk on the doorstep that we enjoyed most days. The bedrooms were all spacious with plenty of room for the travel cot in any of the rooms! We drove to lots of different places during our stay with Pwllheli and Porthmadog nearby and Abersoch and Llanbedrog just 20 minutes away, the house is in a great location for all types activities! Great communication with the owner before and throughout our stay, with no request being too much trouble for him. We will definitely be returning soon!

We had a fantastic stay at Tarth Y Mor.

The house is in a perfect location, with lovely views of the sea - what a way to wake up each morning! The house itself was superb; really spacious and the pool table was a great addition. The back garden was fully enclosed, so it was nice and secure for our little Tibetan Terrier whilst we sat outside and made use of the BBQ. We really didn’t want to leave!

We had a family break and it was wonderful.

The house is gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need. It's in an ideal location close to the sea and was an excellent base to explore the local area. We will definitely be returning and recommending.

Amazing cottage by the sea, quiet and serene.

We enjoyed the stay. The house was nice and clean with spacious rooms. The play room with a mini pool table was absolutely fantastic. Just a suggestion - a drying machine in the utilities could be a nice addition to the already fantastic property.

We've been visiting/holidaying in the are annually since 1975 and have stayed in many cottages.

This one is definitely one of the best and is definitely a keeper!!! Loved the space indoors and close proximity to he beach. The boys especially loved the pool room, well equipped too! Weather superb which was an unexpected bonus. Looking forward to returning next year. Many thanks for the welcome pack too.
