Brook Cottage

The location is great and it’s a nice cottage but we felt it would benefit from some finishing touches and a bit more cosiness.

Some of it needs a touch up and the tv wasn’t acceptable for a quality cottage. Some nice and comfortable outdoor furniture would be nice as the garden could be a real positive. The linens are tired and don’t match the decor and need replacing

Brooke Cottage is a gorgeous deceptively spacious comfortable and well equipped cottage with amazing views of both the sea and the castle in a lovely quiet location just a few minutes walk from the High Street and Seafront.

The cottage is ideally located for visiting places like Portmeirion, the Glaslyn Osprey Centre, Betws Y Coed, the Sygun Copper Mine & Beddgelert which were all brilliant and it also has gorgeous coast path walks to Black Rock Sands & Porthmadog on the door step. A visit to Criccieth Castle is a must as the views from the Castle Mound are amazing. We were also lucky enough to see dolphins swimming in the bay from the Castle. We loved staying here and really look forward to coming back one day

A group of 6 adults stayed for a local wedding.

The location was perfect and the house was absolutely huge! The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable too. We would definitely return!

A beautiful well presented cottage that is very well equipped.

Had an amazing 2 weeks here even though the weather was a bit rainy. Criccieth is such a beautiful place and having such a lovely place to stay made it a great relaxing holiday. Will definitely book again in the future.

This is a beautiful cottage, big enough for us as a family of 5 and also when two friends joined us.

Great view, great location, very high spec. Super friendly and helpful owner! We have stayed there more than once and will definitely again.

The cottage was lovely and was right in the centre of Criccieth.

We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

What a gem of a cottage, every room a delight.

Modern furniture but everything has sympathetically been chosen to enhance your stay. Everything you could need is available and the place is spotlessly clean. Criccieth is a beautiful place with stunning views from the cottage. Train and bus transport within walking distance if you prefer not to drive. A good choice of places to eat. Our host was readily available and answered any queries. We have already booked a return visit in the summer.

An absolutely beautiful cottage in the perfect location.

The cottage was well equipped with everything that you needed. Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to be back soon.

here was a misunderstanding over the layout of the cottage.

I felt the details led us to believe that there was a shower room and toilet and a double bedroom on the ground floor. One of our group is severely disabled and I would have not booked had I know all bedrooms were on first floor. However, we did manage but with difficulty and I would like it to be made clearer for future bookings there. I would like to compliment the lady in Customer Services who tried so hard to help us and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I think, from memory, her name was Norma or Nora. We did have a super holiday even with the bedroom difficulty.

We had a fabulous week in Brook Cottage.

Very comfortable and there was nothing that we needed that was not already catered for. Lovely view from the bench at the front of the property. We will definitely be recommending the cottage to friends and family. We will have no hesitation in returning to stay at Brook Cottage again. Excellent accommodation.

Very well equipped, deceptively spacious.

This is a lovely cottage, very spacious and extremely well-equipped.

Location is great - only a couple of minutes into town and only a short distance to the major attractions in the area. Dylan's and Poachers serve excellent food and Allports do very good fish and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Lovely spacious cottage, well equipped and immaculately clean located very close to all amenities in Criccieth.

On a personal note it would have been nice to have been left a few dishwasher tablets,Kitchen paper roll, kitchen foil. This would have been most welcome and perhaps a small welcome pack...milk etc.. This did not spoil our enjoyment and would have no hesitation staying again in this wonderful cottage.

A lovely cottage in a super location very well equipped we will defiantly be booking this cottage again.

Beautiful cottage!

Couldn’t ask for better! It was like home from home! So comfortable! It had absolutely everything you could need! Perfect stay in wales! Would definitely Stay again! Thankyou!

A lovely property with plenty of space.

The kitchen was very well equipped, with a high chair, stair gate and baby bath. The property is in an excellent location, 5 min walk to the high street, and 10min walk to the beach. We will be looking to stay again in the summer.

Brook Cottage exceeded our expectations.

It instantly felt like home. We were so comfortable and the cottage is deceptively spacious. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect. We would definitely like to stay again in the future. Thank you to the owners. A big thumbs up from us!

Beautiful cottage in a great location.

The cottage is stocked with things you didn’t even know you needed. We used it as a base to visit various places around wales, however Cricieth is beautiful if you wanted to stay put. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Brook Cottage a full week end of June.

It is spacious ( goid for 6 but our children could not join us unfortunately) and comfortable. The location is excellent as we are close to shops and the sea front is only 5 minutes walk. Recommended. JP

A lovely cottage in a perfect location.

It is ideal - every comfort here and everything else on your doorstep. Just a pity we couldn't stay for longer, next time perhaps. Thank you - Pam & Doug

We had a lovely stay.

The cottage is lovely, well equipped and near to amenities. We had a great day at Gypsy Wood and a visit to Anglesey. We re-named the snug as the 'Reading Room' - a lovely quiet space to sit and read! The Griffiths Family.

A lovely stay, in a lovely cottage, with lovely weather too!

A super place to enjoy our Criccieth fix. Thank you - The Warriner Family

What a wonderful cottage!

We had a lovely family holiday. The cottage had everything we needed and in such a great location! Thanks The Matthews Family

The Pearson Family - we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.

Love Criccieth and would love to come again

Had a lovely time in Criccieth this week in this cute little cottage on the hill.

We especially enjoyed our daily fish & chips at the castle Fish & Chip shop :) one of the best we've ever had! We have to recommend The Poachers Restaurant, great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay :) Will definitely be back Alice aged 20

Beautifully decorated and very well equipped cottage.

Spotlessly clean. We love Criccieth and all the surroundings, but Black Rock Sands on our only warm day was our highlight - a lovely walk. Many thanks - Sue, Jenny and Anthony

Great location, a lovely well equipped cottage, providing an excellent base to tour the area.

Safe car parking outside of the cottage. The Prince of Wales pub offers great food with excellent friendly service. We would recommend this cottage for any breaks

Had a wonderful week in Brook Cottage.

We were very lucky with the weather so enjoyed plenty of beach time. The cottage is lovely and so well positioned for visiting the area. Loved the view of the sea from the cottage and the castle lit up at night. Thanks again for a lovely stay! Jamie, Rebecca and Sophie

Lovely cottage, everything we needed.

Had lots of good days out in the sun - only one day of rain. Had a great meal at Dylans and did painting at Piggy Pottery. Enjoyed the beach at Abersoch. Thank you - Nicola Yates, Beth, Megan and Granny

Our second stay again, very clean and comfortable, and well equipped.

Weather ranged from glorious sunshine to gales and hail, thunder and lightning! Poachers is a fabulous place to eat, but you need to book. Likewise the Goat. Once again, thank you.

Firstly I want to say this is a super cottage with a great view and it’s spacious enough to cater for 6 but 4 I’d say is plenty.

It’s got everything you need to self cater. People have mentioned pillows before but we were happy with them; if you like a thick pillow bring your own. Seasonally this should have been a warm time but it wasn’t so we had to put heating and fire on when sat in the evening. Everything was clean and tidy but unfortunately the microwave got forgotten and was pretty awful (cleaners take note). It’s an ideal place to base yourself and we took on board some comments previously of what to do. Do visit Plasa Brondanw gardens; it’s small but lovely to while away some hours. Perfect happy to stay here again

This cottage is not cheap so we were expecting the highest standard - hence the honest criticism.

A ‘welcome pack’ - some milk, couple of tea bags would be a nice gesture. Downstairs rooms are spacious with comfortable furniture. Kitchen is well stocked. Good location with lovely views. We were expecting a dedicated parking space but the next door occupants parked outside our cottage the entire week! Good internet service. However we all found the TV very challenging to operate and it would also be useful to have another tv in the ‘snug’? Lovely bathrooms, good showers and towels. Main bedroom light & spacious with plenty of storage. Quality of bedding was average, pillows in particular need replacing. The fitted sheet was too small for the mattress. Although we had asked in advance for the sofa bed to be made up, it wasn’t.

The cottage is in a lovely location in the middle of Cricceth.

We loved it. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is extremely well equipped. The only point I would make is that the master bedroom has lots of windows, not all of which have coverings, so very light in the early morning. The other 2 bedrooms are fine.

Lovely cottage with a great village location.

Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring north Wales.

Enjoyed sitting out on the bench when the sun was shining!

We had a lovely holiday at Brook Cottage with family including our 2 grandchildren.

The setting of the cottage was perfect overlooking the sea. The green outside was really great to have as a playground for the little ones. Thank you Brook Cottage and Criccieth.

Excellent location.

Very spacious cottage which was well- equipped. Disappointed with the heating level...in particular we felt it necessary to pack bin liners into gaps in windows, which seemed to have been poorly fitted. Full marks and thanks to housekeeper who went above and beyond in forwarding a camera.

Lovely comfortable cottage, plenty of room and well stocked with everything you need.

Great location in Criccieth, quiet, and not far to walk to the beach and easy access down the coastline, or into Snowdonia. Nice relaxing decor, and beautifully clean and bright, home from home.

Superb cottage with fantastic views

We had a fantastic week in Brook Cottage.

It had everything we needed, was spacious and comfortable. The view of the sea and the castle from the front of the house was delightful. It was the ideal base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula as well as Snowdonia. We loved Criccieth!

We had a great stay at Brook Cottage.

A lovely place, with both quaint charm and modern furnishings and it was well equipped. We loved sitting on the bench at the front in the evenings watching the beautiful view. Parking is right outside the cottage. It is in a very quiet setting with only a short walk into Criccieth and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend. The only slight negative was the relatively late arrival and early departure times compared to many other self catering places we’ve stayed in.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location short walk to town and the beach Fabulous week.

We have had a wonderful week at Brook Cottage thank you so much.

The cottage is cozy the kitchen is very well equipped and the views are spectacular!

Very clean and very comfortable thank you.

Well equipped kitchen and lovely position, great sun trap at the rear of the cottage, we will love to return, thank you

Our stay at Brook Cottage was beautiful.

Criccieth is lovely, we also love Barmouth and Beddergelert.

Very spacious living area and main bedroom.

Plenty of space for 6 adults in comfort. Lovely views.

The property was as described.

Brook Cottage is a delightful holiday home.

Its situation in Criccieth is perfect - a short walk to the high street shops and the beaches. Overlooking the greens and with views of the sea and castle, it couldn't be better. The cottage itself is like a tardis - spacious and light inside. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the fittings and furniture are all very tasteful. We loved staying there - thank you to the most helpful and friendly owner - and we hope to return.

The location was great for the beach and the kids really enjoyed it :)

Ideally located with fantastic views, sun terrace was great for afternoon chilling.

Only 20 minute drive to portmeirion.

The cottage was so lovely, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and so well and thoughtfully equipped.

Great view of the sea and castle at the front. Nice terrace/patio at the back. The beds were comfortable, plenty of storage for clothes, cases etc. It was a short walk to the sea and castle, coffee shops and restaurants. The only things we would suggest to the owner are, in the welcome book, clear instructions for using the heating and the tv would be helpful, and where nearest supermarket is.

Lovely cottage, great location with views of castle.

Fabulous week at Brook Cottage, so comfortable with everything needed for a perfect holiday, and spotlessly clean.

Amazing views from the from the front we couldn’t have asked for more!

We had a wonderful week at Brook Cottage, very clean and comfortable, so well equipped.

We loved sitting on the bench in the evenings and enjoying the view.

Thank you so much for the lovely stay at Brook Cottage, if was perfect for our party size.

The view to the sea was brilliant. he property was well presented with lots of comfortable space, and a lovely seating area in the garden/patio. We would highly recommend Brook cottage!

We had a very good week staying at Brook Cottage recently.

The cottage is beautiful- well equipped, comfortable and with tasteful interior décor. The beds are super comfy. There was plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and the kitchen is very well equipped. There is everything you could need. We loved sitting at the front in the evening sunshine where there is a lovely view down to the sea. This area is beautiful- with huge beaches and pretty sandy coves. We loved the coast path and also a hike up Snowdon on a fabulous day where we had incredible views in all directions. We can highly recommend Brook Cottage and hope to come back to explore more of this beautiful area.

What a lovely week.

.. The sun shone and we were able to make great use of the very private back garden. Sunbathing and meals al fresco were the order of the day. We had everything we could need in this lovely cottage

Well what an absolutely wonderful cottage!

Lovely walk along the beach and through fields, ending with a drink at Dylan's. Snowdon is a 30min drive away - and well worth the climb to the top. Also visited the pretty seaside town Llandudno - felt like wed gone back in time.. in the best way possible. Weather has been a mixture of sunshine and rain, meaning we've been able to explore and relax in the cottage. The perfect place to enjoy. North Wales

Thankyou for letting us stay at your cottage.

We've been to Barmouth fair also had ice cream. Also we've been to Abersoch beach and the weather was really nice. The cottage was really nice and comfy

Our second stay - again, very clean and comfortable, and well equipped.

Weather ranged from glorious sunshine to gales, hail, thunder + lightening! Poachers is a fabulous place to eat, but you need to book. Likewise the Goat. Once again, thank you

Fantastic week at Brook Cottage.

Couldn't have wished for more! Superb decor and cleanliness with wonderful adventures. But the best thing by far is the outstanding view from the front of the house across the whole of Criccieth. We had sunshine for most of the week and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. Well worth a trip up the castle, and a reset to Dylan's, but you must book ahead. Also worth visiting Portmeirion. Favorite beaches were Harlech, Morfa Nefyn, Porth Iago and Criccieth for rock pooling. Didn't have time to go on the steam train, so we will definitely be back. Thoroughly recommend Brook Cottage

We were 4 adults who had never been to North Wales before.

Undoubtedly the high spot of the week was a day spent at Portmeirion Village. We had lunch there - and just a little tip. If you book ahead for lunch you get free entry to the village - it saved us £68!! The Blaenau Ffetiniog railways was another day's experience and we fitted in visits to Lloyd George's house, Harlech castle, Caernarfon , a fabulous visit to the slate mines which meant a wonderful picturesque trip round Snowdon. We had several meals locally at Dylans, Spice Bank (takeaway) and Poachers (highly recommend) sunday lunch at Portmeirion. As for the cottage - it looks lovely. And Fiona has thought of everything - a marvellous place to stay - thank you

Lovely cottage - everything we needed.

Had lots of good days out in the sun, only one day of rain. Had a great meal at Dylans and did painting at piggy pottery. Enjoyed the beach at Abersoch, Thank you.

We had a wonderful week at Brook cottage, wonderful location for exploring North Wales.

Nice decor, clean, well equipped, love sitting out on the bench. Would recommend Portmeirion, Beddgelert, Harlech. Steam train from Porthmadog and the long train to Caernarfon is great. Many thanks

Booked last minute for a quick break in Criccieth.

Very pleased with the cottage. Could not have found a better place - we have had a brilliant week and will definitely be returning to Brook Cottage. Sitting on the bench enjoying the views with a nice cuppa. Perfect.

What a gem of a cottage, every room a delight.

Modern furnishings but sympathetic to the age of the cottage. Everything you could need is available and clean throughout. Criccieth is beautiful, stunning views and accessible public transport. We have already booked for this Summer.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage in a great location.

We hope to return. Thank you!

A beautiful well presented cottage that is very well equipped.

Had an amazing 2 weeks here. Even though the weather was a bit rainy. Criccieth is such a beautiful place and having such a lovely place to stay made it a great relaxing holiday, will definitely book again the future. Thank you :)

A lovely spacious cottage with gorgeous views of the sea and the castle ideally located for days out to Port Meirion, Betws Y Coed and Beddgelert and gorgeous long coast path walks.

The view from the castle around is stunning and we saw dolphins swimming in the bay. The gorgeous weather made it even better. Loved Criccieth and loved the cottage. Hope to come back one day!
