Lovely apartment close to all amenities.

The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning. The photos don't do the view justice. There were two tower fans provided which were very much needed as it was a very hot week. There was a welcome pack provided which included milk, tea,coffee sugar and loveley Welshcakes. The chip shop below does a good fish n chips. The owners son runs the chip shop and he was a pleasure to meet. The shop didn't affect us in anyway eg smell, noise. When you enter the apartment from the front there are two flights of stairs which take to the first floor. Then there are another set of stairs to take you to the 2nd floor. This could prove difficult if you have mobility issues. We mananage with them and we are 66 and 70 years of age. I considered it to be part of my daily workout routine. The owner provides free parking for the long stay car park which is just situated just behind the apartment. On arrival we were lucky enough to get a parking space at the front of the property for unloading but limited parking time. Overall a lovely place to stay and would thoroughly recommend .

The property was easy to get to from the nearby car park.

The flat is lovely, clean tidy and comfortable. The pillows and quilt were so comfortable. Great facilities. The views are incredible, an amazing base for a holiday. There was no food smell from the takeaway below Just be prepared for the stairs to get to the door

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Castle View.

The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed and we were mesmerised by the view of Criccieth Castle! Although the disappointing weather meant that we didn’t really have an opportunity to enjoy the expansive verandah - we still appreciated the space. We would love to return and will be recommending a stay at Castle View to our friends and family without hesitation!

This is a superb apartment, clearly newly refurbished.

The balcony was excellent although we didn't have the weather to use it more then twice, but the views were stunning. The bed was comfortable and the wool duvet is a game changer! Outstanding shower in the bathroom and a good addition of the second toilet upstairs. Both TVs worked well. Highly recommend this apartment. Small touches of the milk,tea, coffee and sugar and the amazing shortbread were above and beyond. Constructive feedback from those working in self catering accommodation would be having a washing up sponge/cloth as washing up liquid was provided but no means to clean. Consider having access for extra towels/ toilet roll if there for a week. Although waste and recycling instructions were clear to follow. We had to buy bin bags to contain and separate the recycling ourselves. Either provide bags or boxes or maybe a 3 way recycling bin to make things easier. I would also consider providing a pod coffee machine or a french press. I love filling in a visitors book when staying anywhere and I couldn't locate one. Also your apartment welcome pack may need updating as you are missing some local treasures like Y Maes. Overall this apartment is well placed in Criccieth and in North Wales in general. It's clean, tidy and comfortable. The stairs although clearly mentioned in the description, were slightly more steeper than expected but manageable for mobile adults. The parking pass was extremely useful and the carpark was just behind the apartment. We would definitely stay again.

Really lovely apartment with great views

My wife and I stayed in the top floor appartment, we were very pleased with it.

Everthing was well-appointed, spotlessly clean, modern, and in excellent order. This appartment has glorious views from the outside balcony toward the castle and sea. The accommodation is accessed from ground level via two flights of stairs and once inside there is a further staircase from the bedroom level to the kitchen diner. We are both in our 70's and we were able to cope with the steps without a problem. The electric heating was a real boon now that cooler, autumn evenings are here. We had a lovely week in North Wales finding Criccieth an excellent, central, base for exploring Gwynedd and Eryri National Park. Cymru an Byth!

Comfortable, well thought out and equipped accommodation with stunning views.

Would happily book again. Parking permit a bonus as used elsewhere. In general, clean but dust on skirting boards, sockets, ledges etc., smell in bathroom??-left window open and a throw had some stains.

Such a beautiful apartment with fabulous views.

Ideally situated on the Lyn Peninsula in between Pwhelli and Porthmadog. Will definitely be returning and we were very reluctant to have to leave when it was time to go home.

This was our 2nd visit in two consecutive years.

Again, We really enjoyed our stay, getting use of the balcony was great. Everything was exactly the same as before. The downstairs living room is good for the evening. The view of the castle, out of the fully open tri-fold doors was spectacular. Especially in the evening when the setting sun lit up the castle. The proximity of the train station opened up an easy way to visit other places. The car park pass was a great addition too. We are definitely considering booking again for next summer. Gorgeous property!

We were blown away by the views from the property and it was beautifully decorated and homely. The only feedback I have are: - toilet seat downstairs came loose - it wasn’t as well equipped with bags for rubbish, compost bags were torn, no dishcloth - the amenities ie iron, hairdryer weren’t listed on the site Otherwise, it is a fabulous location and base and a gorgeous apartment, thank you.

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, balcony fantastic and caught the sun most of the day.

We missed somewhere to hang our wet swimming kit on, as we swam in the sea every day.

A lovely property with a fabulous view from the balcony, kitchen/diner.

We knew there were a lot of stairs so we were prepared for that! 2 flights to front door & another flight to kitchen/diner. Everything was clean & comfortable & the kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of room for 2 of us. It would be ideal for a family with older children with 2 sitting room areas & twin room with bunk beds. The car park pass was very useful at Criccieth & other locations (list at property) We really enjoyed our stay & would love another holiday there. Thank you.

A lovely apartment with everything you need.

The most stunning views from the balcony - castle in front and water to both sides. The parking pass was a nice bonus, especially being able to use it elsewhere too. The fantastic weather put a shine on everything but the place is definitely one I would visit again.

It's a gorgeous flat with an amazing view over Criccieth, to the ocean and the castle. The terrace is just beautiful to spend a nice breakfast or evening overlooking the bay. The flat is spacious and very well equipped with all the Amenenties you can think of. I was traveling by train and Criccieth and further places along the coast are very easy to reach by public transport.

Second time visiting .

The high standard was just as good as the first time. The views from the balcony are outstanding . We would definitely return for a third visit . The lounge downstairs was perfect for when the weather was less than perfect

facilities were fab - had everything we needed. bed comfy, wifi perfect. lovely quiet location and criccieth itself was lovely and good base to explore - like another reviewer said - no smell from chip shop - do try it was delicious and v reasonable! would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Golygfa’r Gastell.

Everything was as described. The only thing that nearly caught us out was that only part of the car park the pass is provided for is long stay. Thankfully, I read the information provided in the flat not long after we’d arrived so was able to move the car to the long stay section with no consequences. We really enjoyed the stunning view from the balcony and the wool duvet was super comfy. I would definitely stay again!

The accommodation was spotless on arrival, well designed, comfortably furnished and provided an excellent base for visiting Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula. Highly recommended.

The property is really lovely, bright and clean, and the kitchen had just about everything we needed.

The view from the balcony was fab. Lovely bedding and towels. Comfy bed. The stairs are pretty steep so we had to be very careful. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely flat, very spacious clean and airy and with spectacular views over to the sea, the mountains and the castle which you can enjoy from the balcony - or curl up in the cosy downstairs lounge if the weather turns.

We were a bit surprised to find the property was above a Fish & Chip shop however cooking smells don't enter the flat, the noise was minimal and the Fish and Chips were delicious!. It's in a perfect spot to explore the beautiful town and an easy stroll to the beach, and close to the rail station - highly recommend the very scenic Cambrian rail route to Harlech, Barmouth and beyond. It was easy to find a space in the car park (although worth noting you need to park in the Long Stay section which I think should be included in the check-in instruction before arrival as we needed to move!). A perfect place to enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

Lovely view from the balcony. Excellent location with easy access to beach and shops. The flat is on the second floor and is reached via a steep flight of stairs, so would not be suitable for persons with mobility issues.

Absolutely wonderful. Can not fault it one bit. The kitchen was well equipped, the snug/tv room was a lovely additional room and the balcony was the best feature of the apartment. We would’ve spent every evening out there in better weather, the view of the castle and coast was beautiful. The apartment is clean, well decorated, maintained, very clean and very well equipped. The one problem we did have was rectified very quickly. John and Rhonwen are great hosts, very friendly, do everything they can to make your stay a lovely and hassle free experience. And the family run fish and chip shop downstairs is not only convenient but their food is the best in the area. We enjoyed our 7 day stay so much we have already rebooked it for next year. Thanks for a great week.

The view from the flat is beautiful and the balcony really made our evenings special. Flat had everything we needed, good space, clean, modern. WiFi isn’t great around the flat was off and on a few times.

Amazing place, loved the views .

We bought blankets and hats with us and stayed on the balcony until late . Quality of bedding and duvets was lovely and we have looked into the company to purchase some for ourselves. We enjoyed the apartment so much that we’ve already booked a return visit .

Modern, and very well equipped twin level apartment with stunning views from the large top veranda.

A lot of stairs to access but it’s well worth the effort. Perfect for a couple but also a family as there are 2 bunk beds.

Lovely clean and well maintained property.

We couldn’t get enough of sitting in the kitchen lounge area watching the changing views of the castle and bay. Welsh cakes to greet us were very much appreciated, as was the pass for free parking in the municipal car park near the rear of the property. Just a warning that there may not be anywhere to park near the front entrance when you arrive, so you may end up toting your luggage from the car park. Criccieth is a lovely little town and I highly recommend the property as a quiet and relaxing place for exploring North Wales.

We had a brilliant holiday and it was so lovely at the end of a busy day to come back to beautiful Golygfa'r Castell.

The apartment is finished to a high standard and is well equipped. It was perfect for our family of four and the view of the castle was the icing on the cake. We were lucky enough with the weather to enjoy some drinks on the balcony too which was an unexpected bonus. A great apartment in a charming seaside town in a stunning part of the world, we'll be back.

This is a beautiful apartment with stunning views from the balcony of Criccieth castle and across to Snowdonia.

Everything in the property is spotlessly clean and of a high spec. It's very spacious and all the furniture is comfortable. The parking permit for the car park round the back was a bonus and it was easy to pull up outside the property to unload the car. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, who has obviously put a lot of thought and effort into refurbishing the property. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back!

Really liked this property, everything we could have wanted and more!

Would definitely go there again. Methinks nearer the summer next time but not when the kids are on holiday as we like the peace and quiet. Spice Bank opposite was brilliant and we had to visit it twice! All in all a lovely place to holiday in and would recommend it highly.

This is a great house with everything you need and a view that's so beautiful.

As a family the house worked as its so much fun, it made us hang out in the roof top kitchen and snuggle in the living toom. Everything is high end and eco friendly, and well thought about. We loved it.

The property is warm, modern, conveniently located, spotlessly clean and brilliantly appointed . The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds and bedding were top quality. The owners - a local couple- were helpful and responsive. If I come back to the area I will definitely let this property again. Quality offering - well done!

I have stayed at many places and by far your holiday apartment was by far the nicest not only was it clean and comfortable you had thought of everything to make people’s stay even more comfortable The views are amazing We have taken the make of your pillows and duvet as was extremely comfortable I have already sent out a video of your home and views to many of my friends and family If we ever decide to come back to north wales we will be checking your availability first The flowers and tea facilities was a lovely gesture too Kind regards Tracey

nice welcoming touches like tea/coffee and fresh flowers. good layout ,VERY comfortable bed, the weather was very hot during our stay and owner arrived with a couple of fans which was much appreciated. a toilet on each floor was also much appreciated. criccieth itself is beautiful and welcoming, plenty of places to visit nearby but if you just want a place to relax you can't go wrong. i would highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

Beautiful views of Criccieth Castle and the surrounding coastline from this wonderfully presented 2nd & 3rd floor apartment.

We had a lovely relaxing week, and our 5 year old son discovered a love for Welsh castles (and dragons!) even visiting Harlech Castle twice. We also spent time on beaches at Borth-y-Gest and Harlech as well as sampling the delicious fish & chips in Criccieth. Castle View is a fantastic base for exploring the local area and a wonderful place to come home to every night. We would certainly love to stay again in 2024.

This property is by far the best property I've ever stayed in,and I have stayed in some of the best, everything about the stay was brilliant.

Everything you needed and on your doorstep, snowdonia, zip world, gorge walking...all adventures you want to try. Booked property again for next year on the 2nd day of this vacation.

On arrival to the apartment we were blown away by the view, the photos just don't do it justice!

The apartment is beautifully clean and furnished with good quality and well considered items. We had such a brilliant week and really made the most of the balcony on good weather days, even enjoying rainier days just watching the rough sea in the rain! I plan to come again with my husband, we loved it! The apartment is central and so handy for walking to the beach and the castle - but also to the train station and there are good bus links too. Would highly recommend!
