Holly Cottage

once again we had a lovely stay at holly cottage.

Everything was in place ready for us when we arrived and we could immediately just get on with our holiday

Property was small but well equipped.

Due to size of bedroom we found the double bed to small and in future would choose to stay in properties with king or super king size bed.

Lovely cottage,well maintained, clean and tidy.

Ideal location for visiting several local attractions. We enjoyed our recent stay,and may well look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely cottage and ideal to walk to the beach.

Lovely decor. Well equipped with everything you need. Nice touch of a bottle of bubbly when you arrive. Few cobwebs in corners. Does need a new shower mat. Parking okay but when all properties have someone staying, it can be difficult to manoeuvre your car. Little bit difficult to find as it says gated property so we were actually looking for the gate. It’s opposite Helen’s attic which is easier to find. It can be difficult to get out as the road is very busy at times.

Very well placed cottage for touring and convenient for local shops and the promenade.

We found everything we needed in the cottage it was quiet with very little out side noise. Really enjoyed our stay thank you

Lovely position in Criccieth and off street parking is a must.

A comfortable, clean, perfectly situated property containing everything you need for your stay (apart from a coffee machine, but I always take one with me).

Welcome bottle of fizz a nice touch too. Parking is tight and a bit of a pain, depending on the vehicles involved, but, after looking around Criccieth and imagining it in full season, a parking space is gold dust! Criccieth is a lovely holiday base and we used as many of the fabulous local shops and eateries as possible.

Bed was so comfortable, loved the fizz and off road parking was a bonus. Just the relaxing break we needed. Explored the local area and found some little gems. Its the unexpected places and people you meet which makes it all so fascinating.

Holly Cottage is a very comfortable and homely accommodation.

It is well equipped, has a beautiful bathroom and bedroom with a cosy living room and a nice sized kitchen. It is private and yet near to the main road, shops, public transport, beach and all other amenities. It is also a good base to be able to explore the wider area with brilliant accessibility to attractions further afield.

Small but has everything you need, handy for the sea,shops, restaurants and very near places to visit.

Lovely host and hostess made us very welcome. Recommend the tapas restaurant especially the sharing platter, steak, chicken, sausage, chunky chips, salad.£25 excellent value, very friendly staff, chief came out to make sure all good. Fish and chip shop on high street again good value. Definitely going back.

Nice little cottage in a good location.

Comfortable bed and all we needed in the kitchen. Fairly comfortable sofa. The overall cleanliness of the cottage could of been better. It also needed a shelf in the shower as everything had to go on the floor.

Had a very lovely and comfortable stay in this very clean and well equipped cottage.

Ideally situated for everything we wanted to do, very close to the sea and village, would definitely stay again!

I have stayed at this site previously and it is just right for my needs.

Knowing the area well, it is ideally situated for the places I visit. I stayed in early spring when the weather is still changeable and knowing I would be going back to a warm and comfortable premises after a day out in the rain and cold was comforting. The welcome gift of a bottle of wine was also much appreciated. Will definitely be looking to stay again in the summer when I venture North again.

This is our second stay in this cottage, good safe on site parking, good location for food, or eating out, and very comfortable, and we will have no hesitating in stating there again

A lovely cottage in a great location, close to the beach and the town but very quiet.

The cottage was very comfortable with everything you might need for a stay. The gift on arrival was a lovely thought.

Fantastic location and beautifully decorated.

Really appreciated the Prosecco it was a lovely gesture. It would have been useful if there was a small vacuum cleaner and mop, also a full length mirror and access to the plug sockets in the bedroom. Would recommend to others.

We happy with the accommodation, but couldn’t use the huge garden at the back as there was a sign on the gate saying Private.

It was such a glorious week weather wise we would have loved to have had tea out there. It’s not the same sitting on a driveway.

Well sited near the town centre.

Nicely presented with pleasant bathroom and suitable for a couple. Off street parking offered but sometimes difficult to manoeuvre into if all visitors cars present. Major weakness was outdated washing machine with no drier, albeit a rack for drying wet clothes. At the price charged something better would be expected

Holly Cottage is a delightful holiday venue with everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

All furniture and fittings are of a high standard and the relaxing ambience is enhanced by the colour coordinated soft furnishings and tasteful decorations/accessories throughout the cottage. The owners, Jamie and Eirien, are welcoming, friendly and always willing to advise and help with any queries on the local area.

Recommended for everyone who looks for beautiful scenery with everything a couple could need and a super comfy bed

This cottage is very warm and cozy and has everything you need for a holiday stay.

WiFi has strong signal, the bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The cottage is very close to the sea and to the town centre. Really enjoyed our stay and will return.

The accommodation was absolutely fine.

The location was great and the cottage was warm, cosy and comfortable. We thought that, perhaps instead of the bottle of wine, enough toilet paper, soap and washing up liquid could have been provided.

We stayed here for a week in October and have to say that the property was of a very high standard, perfect location and incredibly clean.

We would most definitely recommend.

The cottage it was immaculate. Everything needed was at hand. Everything was on the doorstep. We had a marvellous time. And have told people about our Stay and it was definitely a 10 out of 10.

Within easy walking distance to beach, castle and shops, yet Holly cottage is set back from the main road, so lovely and quiet.

It is well equipped, comfortable, tastefully decorated and spacious - everything you could need! We will certainly return.

Better facilities than listed eg TV included DVD player, hair drier in bathroom.

Cleanliness and location were superb.

Friendly owners, nothing to much trouble and a feel safe factor. Parking spot on and very close to all amenities. Anyone thinking of booking this rental have no fear. Criccieth ticked all the boxes for us. Marion and John Stevenson.

Maybe a full length mirror for the bedroom would be useful, but a great cottage and facilities, in a great location.

We received a very warm welcome from the owner of this delightful cottage which is tastefully decorated, immaculately furnished, along with excellent facilities.

Conveniently situated minutes walk from the beach, shops and restaurants it is just perfect for 2 and has all the comforts of home! We will definitely be returning!

Ideally placed for touring North Wales and Snowdonia, Llyn Peninsula and coastal path.

A view of the sea and Criccieth Castle an added bonus. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. A very comfortable cottage with everything required for a pleasant stay. It was good to have a parking space close by too.

We were very impressed with the lovely modern furnishings and decoration. In a great position with a five minute stroll to the beautiful beach and very close to shops and amenities. There is so much to see within a short drive in this beautiful area. We were very lucky with amazing weather and maximised it to the full but there are still places to come back and see. Great holiday.

We arrived to a pleasant welcome from the owners.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Good location. Across the road is the beach. Also good to explore other towns. We went to Abersoch. Aberdaron and Portmeirion. Early booking essential for Dylan’s. The Poachers restaurant is now a takeaway. Very good value for money. We had a very good week. One day of rain.

The driveway was awful for the parking due to a 7ft wall, narrow entrance,could not see to get out safely onto the main road, also could not see it there were any pedestrians approaching.

Excellent location.

Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and Criccieth town centre. Would be happy to revisit in the future.

A nice well presented cottage in a lovely location for the Llyn peninsular and Snowdonia.

Very close to the beach with private parking and easy access to Criccieth makes this a superb location.

The cottage is beautiful,and very clean and fresh ,the people that own the cottage are friendly and helpful, it's just a short distance to the beach and shops ,the beach is clean and family friendly.

Criccieth is an ideal place to visit the beautiful surrounding area,I would recommend Holly cottage it's a great little place for a holiday for two.

Although we had concerns about the recent reviews and had emailed sykes about these and they didn't reply to us we were happy with the accommodation.

It was as it said on the box. A nice cosy cottage and clean and we had no complaints. We would certainly stay there again.

The cottage is lovely at first sight BUT as we settled in there were one or two things that we noticed.

1. The small settee is so uncomfortable and creaky. It may be OK for very small people but not large enough for two tall ones. 2. At first sight all looked really clean but the mould in the bedroom and bathroom plus the lower down dust on skirting boards, bed frame and chairs worried me. I appreciate it is the end of the season and cleaners only have a certain amount of time to tackle main cleaning jobs but mould is not good. 3. The internet was useless. I take it this is a problem for everyone, but BT should be doing a better job.

Starting with the positives, 10 out of 10 for location, ideal for visiting lots of places and lively walks around criccieth.

The negatives the cottage isn't really a cottage it's a box. Yes we expected cosy which is fine but we wanted warm, homely and comfortable. This wasn't. The long list of do not do things didn't bode well. Damp and cold, we woke up to damp clothes even tho we had excellent weather we did put the heating on although the weather didn't warrant this. The bathroom is damp and in need of a revamp. No shelf in the shower to put anything with the sloping floor everything ended up in the shower tray! The kitchen is adequate but couldn't really cook a meal from scratch. Sorry Sykes this isn't really up to your usual standards but we did have a lovely time visiting this area despite the moans.

Lovely clean cottage in a fantastic location for beach, castle, walks, eating and drinking establishments.

Only criticism was lack of towels - 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel each for a week. There was nowhere inside the cottage to dry towels - fortunately the weather was good and we could dry them on the washing line outside.

Excellent break away.
