Yes, we did everything we were told to do, and contacted the owner of the holiday home who told us to wait whilst someone came to turn the hot tub on (yes, on arrival the hot tub was stone cold and dirty), which he duly did, however that was not our only complaint.
The whole house was jaded and unclean. Scrawl marks all over walls (particularly in the bunk rooms), dirty sticky tables, an entrance hall which reeked of urine, no (promised) logs in a basket, and marks all over bedroom drawers ...

Inside was generally unclean with peeling wallpaper and heavily stained matted carpets.
Outside wasn't much better, cigarette butts strewn everywhere, along with buckets/balls throughout the garden. A cold dirty hot tub, a table which was sticky, dirty and marked and finally a filthy unusable BBQ.
The Monday we were supposed to be relaxing in a hot tub and enjoying ourselves, was spent travelling home!
