Boathouse

The boat house was just what we hoped for as was spacious, clean, open plan in living area with a great balcony seating area.

Great selection of cooking equipment and serving dishes for self service meals. Owners responded straight away and was more than helpful!. Would definitely come back and may in the future just currently exploring wales otherwise would be booking for next year. It is a quirky house but we loved it. Thanks again

The accommodation was OK.

A couple of points of note: - The stairs were pretty steep, meaning you needed to use the baluster and the baluster felt terribly sticky and dirty. When you're climbing the stairs or descending the stairs three or four times a day, it feels bad often. - The paint was peeling and I'm not sure what was going on but it desperately needs to be stripped and repainted. It just feels dirty even though it may not have been dirty. - We were happy at the property and it catered for our needs. That said for a house that in theory sleeps six, the kitchen felt not particularly well equipped. We spent a lot of time eating in and we lacked some of the things that we would normally use to prepare meals for a family of five. Appreciate a fairly small kitchen, which might be the limitation here. - The wi-fi was very temperamental and it had a ludicrously long password. Passwords can easily be changed to something much more memorable. We spent quite a bit of time trying to connect and then there are different wi-fi zones upstairs and downstairs. Trying to enter the ludicrously long password every time just became quite painful.

The Boat House was Amazing great location, 2 car parking spaces, great living space especially with the outdoor seating.

Beautiful property home from home but a couple of minor issues the main TV in the living room has a blue screen and difficult to watch, the old chairs a little bit dusty on arrival and tiny marks on the duvet cover the toilet downstairs was quite loud hissing noise during the night and a strange smell on arrival

The downstairs bedrooms needed airing on arrival, other than that the place was perfect for our purpose of having a rest for a few days.

It was clean and a great base for a family holiday - great location!

. Bright and light and as described. The wifi didn't work in two of the bedrooms - which was only an issue for teenagers! The mattresses were a little lumpy, but this is probably personal preference. Extractor fan didn't work, which will need to be fixed. Would definitely recommend.

Property was as described and very clean.

Just let down a little by the obvious lack of maintenance on fixtures and fittings.which was disappointing.

It is comfortable and roomy. Handles 6 people very well. Would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing holiday at the boathouse, the house was perfect for us, it was clean and we had everything we needed.

It has really unique features and the outdoor space was lovely, the kids loved it. The only negative was the washing machine wasn't working, we messaged both of the owners about the issue but had no reply from either which was disappointing.

It was a lovely house, with a beautiful Christmas tree set up for our stay over Christmas.

Our second visit to the Boat house.

A beautiful, comfy and well equipped home, well situated for getting out and about. Thanks to Elaine for the Christmas tree and decorations, made it extra special as the weather was bad and we spent more time relaxing than usual.

We all really enjoyed our stay at The Boathouse recently, and considering the awful weather that we had all endured everywhere.

Conveniently located for easy travel around the beauty that is North Wales and close to amenities. A comfortable cottage for families and 4 legged friends.

We stayed there with our 2 dogs and grandchildren the only thing that I was disappointed with was the garden it was open so when the kids and dogs were playing was worried they would go into the road it looks closed off in the photos so unfortunately I wouldn't stay there again for that reason

The owner should better come a few times a year to look if there is maintenance needed there.

And there is! Now a cleaning team is comming they do there yob and leave then the building.

WiFi connection a little on and off. Other than that. Was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend to others and would love to go back one day.

Lovely property with everything you would need.

Had a lovely stay. Only slight fault was the statement it had a sea view over Anglesey. It did, but through a tiny porthole window. Wouldn’t stop me coming back. Thankyou.

Booked after staying at owners other property the beach house. Not disappointed. Both properties lie between conwy and llandudno. Near to local takeaways, pubs and supermarkets. The property was well equipped, clean and had nice comfy beds. Will be booking again.

Very quiet with lovely views. Found the stairs to the first floor tricky.The gardens needed some attention.Inside the property there was everything you need.The patio furniture would benefit from some cushions.

The Boathouse is really cosy and comfortable and excellently located close to the West Shore and Deganwy.

We were very comfortable during the coldest and snowiest week of the year. There is a little very sun terrace for those luckier with the weather. We will definitely return. The Wi-Fi is a bit anaemic.

Property is in an ideal position with easy access to both Conwy and Llandudno.

We have stayed here before, with our previous dog and now our new puppy. Having so many walks on the doorstep is a bonus. The property which has been updated over the years, ie new shower, is well maintained and comfortable.

Quirky, comfortable cottage located in a quiet estate and with easy walk to the sea-front.

Good place to bring a dog. Beds very comfortable and the house was plenty warm enough in very cold weather. Main negatives were: fridge very small, although larger fridge is available in the garage, and could with extra crockery, especially mugs

Quirky property but felt it was dated and was in need of a little further attention and cleaning to make me want to return.

For example when we arrived there was strong odour and the rug in the lounge was very worn, dirty and smelly and I believe it's where I got an insect bite from sitting there whilst playing games. The utensils like the can opener were poor and the small fridge with no shelves was not ideal especially if u were staying for longer than a few days. Big freezer but no ice trays. Also mould on the bathroom ceiling and bedroom tvs without hdmi Other than that it was ok for a few days, 10 mins walk to Deganwy beach but no pub or shops in walking distance Bus stop nearby and short drive into conwy or Llandudno was good Good parking and nice quiet area

Lovely pet friendly upstairs downstairs property. With parking, roof terrace and a small patio downstairs which is a lovely sun trap. All facilities such as washing machine, dish washer, television etc. Ideally situated between Conwy and Llandudno. Bus stop to either is no more than a 2 minute walk away. Alternatively it is a lovely walk into Conwy (takes about an hour).

We had a very enjoyable holiday,beautiful surroundings,lots of lovely walks close to beach and ten minute drive to Llandudno.

Unfortunately the garden was not enclosed which was difficult with our dog. The amenities were excellent,the house was warm and comfortable.

Brilliant upgrade of bathroom with walk in shower.

Also central heating far more controllable as we have found the property far too hot for our liking in the past. Only criticism is with the fridge which has the bottom shelf missing in the door and the freezer which is missing one of the drawers. Hopefully we will return to vacating the property by 10am not 9am with access being before 4pm as pre covid precautions.

Lovely House, very clean and tidy.

The gang fell in love with this place at first sight, Interesting décor/layout, huge comfortable beds and a nice big telly (for those rainy nights in) Location was ideal, equidistant from both Conwy and Llandudno - Five minutes drive or a very nice walk with the dog. Honestly cant think of anything we didnt like about this property and very much hope to be back someday :o) Five wagging tails out of five.

Lovely house very quirky, spotless it had everything we required, in a great location was a great holiday, hopefully we will return again.

The bin collection days should be made clear as there was a lot of bin bags piled on top of a full bin on arrival.

You did absolutely nothing towards the holiday apart from automated emails.

The hosting company for the house were very responsive. The house was expensive and yet it was very cheaply filled, The beds were awful, really cheap mattresses that you could feel the springs through. It was damp in all the bedrooms and there were damp patches on the ceilings, Each night going to bed the bedding felt damp and cold. Sykes need to inspect their properties because if you are going to charge double the going rate for the same property you need to provide a service.

Nice and comfortable house.

Only drawback was living space is upstairs and the dog we have struggles with stairs. Limited views so realy only suitable as a base. If you like walking there are a lot of scenic walks available. Overall a pleasant house and would recommed.

Beautiful house great roof terrace with a 5min walk to the beach!

Our little Yorkshire Terrier Yoda loved it great walks and not far from Llandudno and Conwy. Pub about 20min walk not many takeaways. Check in / out times could be clearer Skykes said 3pm notes said 4pm then email said 5pm - check out on Sykes 10am (way to early) check out notes onsite said 9AM!!

We found the Boathouse very comfortable, lovely towels and comfy beds, 10 mins drive to Conwy and Llandudno, 10 mins walk to the beach and ice cream hut, well worth a visit.

Owner stayed in contact the whole time. Lovely quiet estate, decking furniture is so comfortable, and in the sun all day. We had most meals outside. Would recommend, if you want a relaxing quiet holiday, and a lot Close by, we didn’t have to travel far at all. I would definitely return.

Fantastic place and a great location. Our only complaint is that the WiFi was slow and only available upstairs. There was little to no coverage downstairs.

The Boathouse,Deganwy is ideally situated to access all North Wales tourist attractions and has close connections to both rail and bus transport facilities.

We loved our holiday cottage, in fact it made our holiday, exploring the quirky boathouse when we got there was so exciting, but throughout the holiday going back there after a day out was like going home, relaxing in the cottage was one of the highlights, we work such long hours sometimes chilling and doing nothing on holiday is just so underrated and the cottage was just so good for this, so well equipped like a home from home.

The little touches like the quality bed linen and the roof terrace with comfy furniture and BBQ were appreciated. The £20 pound hold deposit scheme is a god send, I’m already looking for next years holiday through Sykes ! ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

This delightful quirky holiday home is perfect in every way.

Ideal location for exploring North Wales, with easy access to a railway station too. Wherever you look in the upstairs part of the house especially, you will find something new and interesting. A real pl3asure.

Exceptional holiday property that I would recommend to anyone thinking of booking a holiday in this beautiful area of North Wales.

The property is lovely, well equipped, clean, has a lovely roof terrace and extremely comfortable beds. We came home and immediately booked another holiday here.

Great location 5 minutes from beach.

Quiet neighbourhood. Decorated lovely for Christmas. Very quirky

It's a nice house, but there were a few issues with our stay.

The double bed we slept in was comfortable, but I noticed a very small stain on the throw. The wi-fi signal downstairs is so poor that you have to take your mobile, etc., upstairs to use the Internet. It's also worth noting that there isn't a bath, just a shower. Furthermore, the electric hob in the kitchen was not in a good state and there weren't any oven gloves. The big disappointment was, though, the lack of live TV and I couldn't stream any TV downstairs due to the poor wi-fi signal, when I used my computer. It wouldn't have been so much of a problem in the Summer due to the long daylight-hours; but in the Winter, when the attractions close at 4pm and the shops in Conwy at 5pm, this is a real problem. To avoid getting bored in the evening and dining in a silent house, we made sure we visited some pubs in and around Snowdonia. We would have also to have like to be met by the owners. The fact that we had to call the owner's mobile to know how to collect the keys (from a key-safe, it turned out) and that there was no meet and greet, gave us the impression that they didn't care about us at all.

this is our 3rd visit to the "boathouse" and we shall hopefully be back again next year.

we just love the place, cosy but roomy with fabulous bedrooms and the new bathroom with the large shower is fantastic! I tell the owners every time i speak to them that if i win the lottery i will buy the "boathouse off them, but no such luck so far !!

Property a bit 'tired' needs an update.

we really liked this quirky house and it worked very well, there are some minor faults that would need attention locks on doors, showers leaked onto the bathroom floor, but all in all would not stop us from returning .

Quirky house living upstairs and sleeping downstairs took a bit of getting used to.lighting in house confusing in some areas - bulbs may have been out?Washing machine drum had jagged edges and ruined a significant amount of new clothes unfortunately.Left owner a note, so hope this does not happen to anyone else

Very happy with our stay at the Boathouse, it was as described and very warm and comfortable, the beds were especially very comfortable and access to the beach was easy for morning walks with the dogs.

Lots of places to visit were close by and parking for 2 cars was easy overall a very nice property

Half-screens at the shower are useless.

Everything in the Boat house was as expected, only downside was the King size bed was a tad hard for us!

On entering The Boathouse we where immediately impressed.

There is anything and everything you could possibly need. The beds where extremely comfortable as was the settees. There is nothing negative to say about the property. The views from all angles of The Boathouse where beautiful and if you want an active walking holiday then this is definitely the place you should stay.

The location midway between Conway and Llandudno was great, you could walk along the coast to either.

The choice of restaurants in Deganwy itself was great, especially the French one, Paysanne. The property itself was lovely, very quirky and comfortable, we loved the galley porthole and watching the amazing sunsets through it. The outside deck was really nice too as we had some lovely weather whilst there, even though it was late October. We had family coming from three different locations so had three cars but parking was not a problem. We would happily recommend this property, especially to dog owners as the beach and coastal path is a dogs paradise.
