    “An absolutely stunning place.”

We fell in love with Ysgol Fach. It is beautifully designed and decorated. I was a little worried about being out of Benllech but it was a very pleasant & easy 15 minute walk in & didn’t feel uphill at all on the way back. It was actually nice to drive to the beach instead of walk as we usually do & avoid cardiac hill on the way back up! We also made use of the alternative road in to the village, which was really handy for the Co-Op & meant we avoided the bedlam of the Tesco car park & junction. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, we loved it. This is our 4th trip to Anglesey & without doubt our favourite stay so far because the house is so beautiful. We both said if the owners ever wanted to sell both properties, we’d snap them up in a heartbeat & live in the little house & rent our next door’s big house! This would be a dream come true! We loved the airy & bright upstairs bedroom & both properties are so tasteful & beautifully finished. We took our dogs & it was great to have a stairgate preventing them from coming upstairs, as often we have to bring our own. The garden is very small at Ysgol Fach (the little school) but has a nice big decked seating area & just enough grass for the dogs to go to the toilet, but no room for them to play. It was ok as we exhausted them on the beach instead. I really appreciated having a proper washing line & pegs as we pack light & do laundry. Given the house is so stunning a couple of pots or bits to beautify the garden would be nice. Our kids have now reached an age they suddenly refuse to share a room, so I was very grateful for the owners very responsive & friendly communication regarding the futon bed upstairs, so we were able to bring extra bedding for that & she slept up there with us. She is little enough to sleep on it sideways otherwise it would have been very uncomfortable, as futons always are, but it saved a great deal of conflict! The house was very clean on arrival but I did soak the shower trays & shower door hinges with bleach to remove black mould - the cleaners need to scrub these & the upstairs bathroom smelt damp on arrival as people turn the fan off, but we kept it on & the bedroom windows opened to ventilate the en suite & that resolved it. The upstairs shower door opens out, not in, which is clearly a mistake everyone makes & does get caught. Unusually we cooked quite a bit whilst we were there, I think because we loved the place so much, we were happy to stay in more! But the non stick pans & especially the baking trays all desperately need replacing, they are not fit for use, but otherwise a very well stocked kitchen. Lastly I cannot thank Sarah at Sykes at the Bangor office enough for going above and beyond the extra mile to retrieve our lost property! Our son left his gaming monitor, which somehow the cleaners say they didn’t see so she drove there herself & collected it. What incredible customer service & so appreciated. We have an excuse to go back to Anglesey again now so soon to collect it! Thank you Sarah
