Ysgol Fawr (Big School)

Excellent accommodation.

All the rooms were clean, and we had all the games out and was wonderful. Really excellent. Grandad, Grandma, Christopher, Lianne, Sarah, Will, Hugh, Guy, Clara, Tilly and Arthur. We drove around all Anglesey and was stunning.

This is fantastic accommodation for a big group as ours.

Downstairs there is a massive open social space which all of us enjoyed. Big TV great for watching the match. Upstairs all bedrooms are a good size and real bonus having en-suite bathrooms. House was clean and had everything we needed. We hope to come back.

Had a fabulous family weekend at the Big School house suited all our families needs so well thankyou !

Wonderful property.

Quiet location just 15-20mins walk into Benllech. Property was extremely clean, had everything we needed, spacious and airy... Nothing negative to say. Lovely well kept garden that's well enclosed for dogs. Would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Big School.

Lovely kitchen dinner which was perfect for the nine of us family & our friends. And evenings there was plenty of room to chill out in the lounge. We all slept well as the beds were very comfortable. Only one small disappointment no egg cups for boiled eggs. Otherwise a perfect stay and location. Thank you.

Our second time returning.

We loved our stay at Ysgol Fawr. The house is gorgeous inside - really spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfect for spending time together as a group. The location couldn’t be better. It’s peaceful but still close to everything, and we loved how easy it was to get to Benllech Beach and all the beautiful nearby walks. Overall, it felt like a real home‑from‑home, and we are looking to rebook.

Wonderful accommodation with everything we needed and much more.

Kept 4 generations of family happy and perfect amount of room to relax outside when weather was good but also inside on rainy days. Perfect location with easy access to lovely local beach and other sight seeing we did. Loved the enclosed garden for the dog to be able to roam free and grandson enjoyed the toys provided (Lego, connect 4, wooden bricks etc). Thanks for an amazing stay and we will be back again!

Fabulous property with everything you could possibly want.

The property is amazing!

The rooms immaculate and decorated to a lovely standard. There’s so much space - lots of places to relax inside and outside. It had everything we needed, although there wasn’t much room in the freezer for the frozen food we’d brought. Location is great for seeing Anglesey and there was plenty of parking. We had a great stay overall!

This is a very special property, it is absolutely beautiful and felt more like a home.

I celebrated my 40th birthday with my family and it hosted us all very comfortably, despite a wet weekend we were able to use the BBQ and have a game of cricket on the lawn. The hosts were so kind, although we didnt need their assistance during our stay, I did leave my daughters teddy, which they were able to find for me Ysgol fawr has given us lots of happy memories and we are all trying to plan again for next year!

A fantastic holiday home and we need to thank the owners for the thought they have put in to providing everything you could possibly need.

Toys and books for the children, 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers, comfy beds, a fantastic quality TV in the lounge - etc etc. The ornaments gave it a homely feel although we moved some out of the children’s way! We loved the melamine plates and bowls, safer and lighter to carry for our party of 10 including The bonus that was not listed was a washing machine and drier in the utility, helpful after a day on the beach.

This property had everything we could possibly need to facilitate a large group of people for a birthday.

The house was so well equipped, everything you can think of they have got it. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Although our experience was ruined by the electric going off all weekend. It was flickering a lot on the Friday but on the Saturday we were more or less off all evening.

We stayed for a New Year break and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our group size (9 people), especially the downstairs open plan kitchen, living and dinning space. The property is funished to a very high quality. We would definitely visit again.

Everything you needed to make it home from home. We stayed at this property for christmas and they had gone to a lot of trouble making sure our stay was perfect from the Christmas decorations to everything you could possibly need to prepare the Christmas day lunch. A perfect property to entertain. Excellent location in the heart of the village.

We had the most amazing stay.

The place is beautiful and we really enjoyed being there. If we could have stayed for longer we would have. There was so much for children to do as there was toys and films provided.

Benllech great location for a family holiday and Ysgol Fawr was a terrific base to enjoy the area.

The old building has had a high quality makeover and lived up to expectations … definitely a five star location.

The property was clean, extremely well equipped, and had loads of space and character. We loved the interior design and attention to detail. Can't recommend it enough!

The house was perfect, so clean, easy to get to, get in and use all facilities.

The property was amazing and beautifully furnished it had everything we needed.

11 of us stayed and there was plenty of room for us all. The garden patio had beautifull furniture and again plenty for us all. The only problem was that there was a leak from one of the bathrooms which came pouring through the kitchen light all over our things on the island worktop. The ceiling had a water stain which looks like it may have happened before. We did report this and a workman was sent out but was unable to do a repair immediately. We were asked not to use the shower in the bedroom above and as the main bathroom was next to that bedroom we didn't use that either in case it was part of the problem as they were so close together. The downstairs shower was freezing. This left only 2 showers between 11 of us to use. We also were asked not to use the main light in the kitchen due to the water having come through it.

Lovely property with ample space.

Fully enclosed garden for pets with lovely seating areas. The property has two dishwashers which was a god send for our large party and the kitchen is well stocked with dinner and cookware. Will definitely look at returning

We had the most amazing time celebrating my husbands birthday in this beautiful house!

! It’s absolutely stunning with enough space for our whole family. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the house was immaculately clean and tidy and we will definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous house.

It was warm, comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated with high quality fittings and soft furnishings. Plenty of seating and crockery for our large group of 9 ladies on a walking weekend. Made use of the huge hall/boot room plus outside tap for our muddy boots (and dog). Beds super comfy and ample bathrooms also immaculate. Perfect house for a large social group, and the location is very convenient with pubs, supermarket and coastal path less than 1 mile away. There is nothing to fault, can’t wait to return x

Wow!

What an amazing stay, it was so luxurious, clean, safe for my autistic children, comfy, warm and stylish. We can’t wait to stay again. Just a short walk to the beach, beautiful restaurants and great fish & chips & ice cream! Everything was so lovely, we can’t wait to be back. Thank you so much Alice x

We had a wonderful stay at The Old School House celebrating my birthday.

Everything was perfect, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Attention to detail made it feel very homely. Plenty of room for all the family, very spacious and clean.
