Llwyn Onn

I always bring my own sheets and pillows, it’s a personal preference, I was shocked when I removed their sheets to uncover a very dirty stained mattress protector and the quilt was also stained, we had to go out and buy our own mattress protector and a blanket.

the towels were also grubby, well all the soft furnishings were smelly, and the property hadn’t been cleaned. I actually washed their bedding for the next guests as it wasn’t pleasant, I also washed the floors. The bath upstairs had a thick tide mark, so once again I had to clean that. Also mid week we had no broadband, I tried contacting the owner on the email address provided, but it was returned as not known, therefore we had the expense of using our own data. The property itself would have been perfect if it was only given a good clean, such a shame

This is a fabulous property and in a lovely location.

It's a complete home from home and has everything that you could need. We love the house and area so much we keep coming back! The local pub is superb!

Excellent accommodation and location would highly recommend.

We enjoyed out stay and visiting the area there so much to see and do and all close by.

It looks small from the outside, but it is comfortable inside and contains all the facilities you'd expect of a modern holiday cottage.

We found the staff at the local shop very helpful and the food was great at the local pub. Dolwyddelan is a small village surrounded by good walks in all directions, and is a short drive to most parts of the National Park - both Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and Portmeirion are within 30 minutes' drive.)

Lovely comfortable, cosy, clean cottage, well stocked with everything you need.

The host was very responsive and helpful to our last minute request. Plenty of parking right outside. The cottage is ideally placed for walks from the village. It sits between Betws-y-Coed (visit the well stocked Deli) and Blaenau Ffestiniog (visit the Model Bakery for delicious pasties etc) There is a Coop and Morrisons Daily here too.

Great location in a quiet village with shop and pubs.

The cottage was well decorated, good bathroom and bedrooms, nice to have a small courtyard to relax with a coffee. Shame the sofas in the living room were quite saggy and uncomfortable to sit and relax after a day out walking. Would love to come back if sofas were repaired.

We had a loverly week in this amazing cottage.

First the location is great in the middle of the Snowdon National Park and everything you would want to see is within 1 hr driving distance. Then the cottage itself is very comfortable, warm, cozy and has everything you need. The log burner is such a nice added touch. We really loved that. The beds are very comfy and so is the shower (great water pressure). It's spacious and we really were very happy coming back here in the evenings after a day's adventure. It's also very silent. We slept like a log. The week flew by and we were sad to leave so we will hopefully return. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

The kitchen is well furnished and there was everything we needed for cooking. The owners communicated well. Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

This is a small, comfortable, homely and extremely well equipped cottage.

The shed for storing mountain bikes with the dry machine was also very handy. We are a family of 4 and had two very busy weeks in Dollwylladen with most evening spent in the cottage. The local hotels/pubs are handy and food is good. Betws y coed is a short drive away with plenty of places to eat and drink. We had several lovely hikes, went mountain biking, had 3 amazing days at the beach and explored the castles in the area. There was something for everyone (including our 15 year old son and our 11 year old daughter) and a cosy place to come back in the evening. We would definitely like to come back. A big thank you to Jan and John that provided advices before our arrival and got in touch during our 2 weeks stay for change of bedlines and towels.

A well-equipped comfortable cottage apart from the lighting in the lounge which, in spite of many individual lights, was poor.

I suggest brighter lighting over the table and in the sitting area near the fire. The location was very good for walking, meals and provisions from a well-stocked local store. The maps and local information leaflets were very useful.

A beautiful cottage with everything you can think of ,there's nothing that they haven't thought of ,such lovely decor and furnishings.

So clean and homely . A lovely place to stay for all the adventures of North Wales ,lovely area to be able to travel around from to explore this beautiful part of the world ,and such amazing scenery . We've just had a really enjoyable weeks stay and managed to travel around and the weather has been so kind to us , considering it was still only March . Very well maintained, cosy and comfortable cottage.

Great location in the heart of Snowdonia. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We would definitely come here again!

Cottage was well maintained apart from the double bed which collapsed on our first night.

We were forced to sleep in the second twin room for one night as the owner could not come the same day. We might have expected some small compensation, but nothing was offered. We have stayed in many cottages and there is almost always some kind of welcome basket which was not the case here.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in Llwyn Onn.

It was very comfortable, with everything that you needed. To be honest it had alot more than we expected and it made our stay amazing. We both commented that it was nicely decorated and we really liked the art throughout the house. We have been converted to self catering as it is so much more relaxing to do things at your own pace and to cook for yourself. The only thing I would say, is that the kitchen could have done with more tea towels for a weeks stay. If there was more than 1, then we could not find them. Other than this we could not fault anything else. Thank you

The property is lovely!

Very comfortable and nestled in a peace village within easy reach of Betws-y-Coed. The house is very well equipped for a stay. The garden is small but tidy with a good sized bike storage shed. The shop is next door and very handy! Parking is plentiful on the street. There were a few bits which needed a bit more of a clean (bedroom 2 window, under the sofas and behind the bath where the bath mat was stored) and the TV doesn't allow access to the smart functionality, but other than that the property is spot on. There is everything you would need!!! There is loads to do in the area. The owners were in touch ahead of the stay and were very friendly. Overall, a lovely stay in a lovely property. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

The cottage was fantastic and provided us with a wonderful base for our holiday.

The cottage itself had everything we needed, was cosy but with enough space for the children to play. Loved the decoration, art work and personal touches, a real home from home!

We really enjoyed our week in North Wales, the cottage is in a great location, for exploring the area and is very comfortable and cosy.

It is beautifully decorated with quality fixtures, art work reflecting the area and has a homely feel. We didn’t sit out in the back garden but it was pleasant and sunny. Parking was never a problem, we parked outside the front door all week, the shop is really handy next door and we also had a meal at the hotel in the village. The pub is closed at the moment as is being refurbished but villagers told us it is due to open soon. There are some lovely walks from the cottage and the train station is within walking distance. Overall had a great stay and would have liked to have stayed a few days longer, we would recommend this cottage. The only two small issues to mention is the kitchen tap is quite stiff and low for cleaning bigger pots etc and could do with a new large frying pan.

The Cottage is in a great location in the area of North Wales.

It is also very close to the local Spar and a hotel is only a short walk away. There was another pub closer but that was temporarily closed whilst we were there. The property was well stocked by way of crockery and utensils, plenty to do on rainy days inside by way of games available - TV channels can be intermittent - plus lots of leaflets available with local attractions and walks etc. Beds were comfortable too. We were disappointed with the standard of cleanliness at the property which has been highlighted to the owners.

Loved it and my 8 year old Son wished it was his actual house.

Loved the decor, the garden, the location, it was great all round. Very clean too.

The cottage is very well equipped and is very comfortable. From Llwyn Onn, we were able to travel to different places in N. Wales. It was the perfect place to holiday. Dolwyddelan, where the cottage is situated is a pretty place. Llwyn Onn has a Spar convenience store very close by. There's on street parking outside the cottage. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our thanks to all who make this Cottage available for holiday makers.

A lovely homely cottage that is beautifully decorated and furnished with some very nice finishing touches.

The kitchen is very well equipped. Love all the local artwork and a very good range of local walk books, maps etc. Lovely soft towels, comfy bed and good to have bath and shower in bathroom. Enjoyed it so much we've already booked to go back!!

The house was well up to the mark, nicely decorated, well furnished and equipped.

There is an issue with the garden which falls well below the standards of the house. Clearly the garden was designed as easy maintenance but through lack of minimal care is approaching a degree of dilapidation which makes it unwelcoming to sit in. For those who enjoy a glass of wine in a pleasant, sunny corner of a garden, this garden is currently a non starter.

Like a home away from home.

We have had a lovely week stay here, everything you could possibly need is there, we took our granddaughters with us and they settled straight in.

The shop next door, staff friendly and welcoming same as the pub and the hotel just down the road, will definitely recommend to family and friends, and return if that way again.

Llwyn Onn is a wonderfully comfortable base from which to explore the area.

It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and the welcome pack was a lovely treat. The artworks throughout the house are beautiful and there were plenty of books, local guides and games to keep us occupied. There lots of walks from the door and the main attractions of Snowdonia are just a short drive away. Although there isn’t a designated parking spot, this was never an issue and we always got parked next to the house. It was also very handy to have the local shop so near. We would definitely book this house again for our next Welsh holiday.

A well appointed cottage an excellent home from home.

We would recommend that you have/put a note on your website details to say that key safe/ box is behind the side gate - when we arrived at the cottage it was pouring down with rain and dark, this was the only small negative to our stay.

Lovely cottage.

Warm and well equipped. Beds comfy, really nicely decorated and makes a very comfortable base. Good location for touring the area and good walks from the door including Moel Siabod, great climb and easy scramble at the top.

Extremely well equipped cottage, in a lovely friendly village.

Train station was an added bonus for travelling to nearby towns. Lovely walks from the village and Betws y Coed.

.... but all I can say if your considering booking .... do it !!! The cottage is exceptionally clean ,well maintained and excellently presented .... in a convenient spot to explore North Wales....... with nice walks nearby should you want to stay local to the cottage ..... If we wernt moving to Blaenau Ffestiniog in 3 weeks this place would definitely be booked again !!! Tho it will be recommended to family n friends who wish to come bug us for more than a weekend !!!

A lovely, well equipped, comfortable cottage in a quiet picturesque area with shop & pub nearby.

Locals were very friendly & welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We noticed in the visitors book that many people had returned time & again and we were not at all surprised. We may be back ourselves one day!

It was very difficult to reach the windows in the bathroom and Bedroom2.

The house was very clean and well equipped and is ideally situated in the village with easy parking. We found the wardrobe doors in Bedroom 2 very tricky. A shelf would have been handy in the bathroom. It is a wonderful area for a holiday..

Beautiful well equipped cottage, sofas very comfy and roll top bath was a welcome treat.

Llwyn Onn is the best cottage we have stayed in, the interior and garden is to a high standard, it is beautiful.

The village is in a great location with many areas to explore i.e. Betws-y-coed, Swallow falls, Portmeirion, Barmouth, Conwy castle, Bangor Pier, and a small village called Beddgelert are all within a 30 mile radius. I would surely stay here again.

We were very impressed with the beautiful decor and the facilities provided - it felt like the cottage was a home from home as everything you might need or wish for was provided.

The area of Snowdonia the cottage is set in is very beautiful and ideal for visiting so many places of interest. One thought we had is that given the limited number of TV channels available at the cottage the owners might consider adding an internet streamer box to feed the TV. This would allow visitors to watch any internet channel they subscribe to plus BBC and ITV catch-up. Thank you for allowing us to stay, we would certainly like to visit Llwyn Onn again.

Loved every single bit of this cottage!

Old and new mixed together perfectly to give you a special Walsh sensation but it’s also cozy and relaxing.You have more than you need inside (equipped beyond the expectations)and the surroundings are breathtaking.The village is small and quiet but if you are there for nature then you are in haven! Thank you !It was unforgettable!

Had a great holiday at this lovely cottage in a beautiful area.

Our only problem was with the settees which are both very low and my husband had great difficulty getting up from them ( had to roll onto the floor and onto his knees to get up!). An armchair would be be much easier as you could use the arms to help getting up!

We had a brilliant holiday at Llwyn Onn cottage with everything and more provided for.

Comfy and quality beds a big bonus to us after an active day and the location was fantastic for touring Snowdon and North Wales.

We thought it needed a little more deep cleaning rather than just surfacing cleaning , especially with covid 19 restrictions still in place , don't be put off by our comment ,.

as this is something that can be sorted within no time just with an extra bit of TLC . Lovely cottage , great location for walks on the doorstep and for travelling around this lovely North Wales area . Could certainly recommend the cottage and the area .

A real home from home. The village is amazing, the views are spectacular and we found lots of walks. Very happy we chose this property and would come again.

The property was delightful, we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door and it was spotless It was so well equipped there is no need to take anything with you that is sometimes lacking in holiday lets.

The situation is great for exploring and the village has two eating places and a shop. We would definitely book this cottage again when we return to North Wales.

Llwyn Onn exceeded our expectations by far and especially on cleanliness.

Its a lovely cottage, equipped with everything you need. We had a lovely time here. Although I put major accent on cleanliness when I book a place or decide whether to ever go back there, I was suprised to see that it was completely spotless. Welcome packs were great and apreciated. Instructions on how to use appliances in the house were very useful. Everything was straight forward. Beds are very comfortable. We loved the style, they made it with a very good taste. We were very happy with the place. I definitely recommend to everyone.

The cottage was just lovely, really comfortable and amazingly well equipped.

It was also a fantastic location for walking - we did 3 different walks straight from the door. There are walks suitable for all levels from gentle walks alongside the river to scrambles up the ridge on Moel Siabod.

I was particularly impressed with the level of detail and high standards of everything in the cottage. The owners have clearly thought about what people need and more. It was a delightful place to spend a few days with my family and we all really enjoyed ourselves. This property was very well stocked as to kitchen utensils etc.

Very comfortable and cosy beds. Endless heat and hot water. A great base for innumerable beautiful walks in Snowdonia, some challenging and some gentle strolls. Would definitely return to this property if I was coming back to Wales...

Llywyn Onn is a lovely cottage the owners have given a great deal of thought into making it a real home from home it is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, it's location is central for places to visit, would highly recommend staying here, the welcome pack was a lovely thought as well.

We are a German family and spent 2 weeks in this lovely cottage.

It is really well equipped and the little garden is nicer than we expected. The contact with the owner was perfect and we missed nothing.The small supermarket next by the house is very helpful. The location is great to discover Snowdownia and the seaside. We are very happy and had a great time in llwyn onn.

As I have booked this cottage, and used Sykes several times before, to say this met my expectations underplays its true worth - it is an excellent cottage in a good position for walking in Snowdonia and the booking process was as seamless as ever.

I appreciated the phone call beforehand warning me that the building works next door were lasting longer than originally expected, but in fact I did not experience any problems.

...walks and cycle rides on your doorstep. Really lovely and it has everything you need. One point is to remember your slippers! The floor in the kitchen in particular is cold but this is February and did not deter from the time we spent there. We'll hopefully be back!

Had a brilliant holiday the cottage was fab and after being out all day was always a pleasure to go back to the warm and cosy cottage.

The cottage had been very well and tastefully improved - full credit to the owners.

It had one of the best equipped kitchens of a holiday cottage I have ever experienced - I have got into the habit of taking things like sharp knives with me which were not needed this time. Everything worked and the instructions were clear and comprehensive. It was well sited for walking in various parts of Snowdonia, and I would happily book it again. OK the weather was mixed, but there is nothing that the owners or Sykes could do about that. The only minor correction would be that the nearest pub has been closed and sold off. However there is a hotel with a bar about 200 yards down the road for those who need a drink!

Cannot find any faults.
