Stunning house with great facilities - loved the hot tub and open plan kitchen.

Very clean and lovely views. Had everything you would need for a fabulous holiday in Anglesey. Well situated to access beautiful beaches and great restaurants in Menai.

A very comfortable, well equipped modern house

We had a wonderful week , the place was great , everything you wanted , it was very clean with very comfy beds , we all enjoyed it ,would book again.

The accommodation was lovely, however I feel it lacked that extra personal touch, little things I feel was not maintained.

Iron was stained whicj was frustrating as I couldn’t use as didn’t want to damage my clothes. The electric hood was hard to use as this didn’t show heat ring felt very dangerous. There was an issue with one of the showers however this was quickly sorted. I just feel more checks should be made, this all could be closely monitored. Also hot tub wasn’t able to be used until 9 pm on first night. I believe this should be ready straight away. It was very clean and lots of plates cups and towels, was lovely touch with egg and milk and bread thank you .

We spent a week in this lovely place, the owners were lovely, friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The property was beautiful and spacious and private with a good enclosed garden for our dog. It was brilliantly located to get to the whole of Anglesey. Watching the sunset from the hot tub was beautiful. The house was very comfortable and clean. And waking up to the view was lovely. It helped the weather was brilliant too. We'd stay here again. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing long weekend at Pen-Yr-Bryn.

Everything is well considered at the property with nothing lacking. We had a slight issue the first night but the owner came round to solve it and even threw in a bottle of prosecco for any inconvenience caused. 10/10 would stay again. Great location for exploring Angelsey :)

This property is spacious and very well equipped.

Close enough to walk to the shops but it felt comfortably ‘isolated’ too. The owners were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Pen Y Bryn is a beautiful property, very clean and comfortable.

Well equipped for all weathers! Would be ideal for many different groups - families, couples. Great base for Anglesey and North Wales.

Cottage was perfect for our stay.

Well equipped,spotless and so comfortable. A couple of minor problems were resolved speedily by the owner and her family. Great location for touring Anglesey and despite the problem with the Suspension Bridge we had a fantastic stay.

Fabulous accommodation!

Beautifully clean and equipped with everything we needed. Dog friendly, secure garden. We had a fantastic week staying at Pen y Bryn.

Great property.

Stayed for 2 weeks in August 2025. The house is beautiful and really well located close to the A55 and Britannia Bridge, but far enough from the village that you do feel like you are in a secluded location. Owners live nearby and are in hand to help if there are any problems. On arrival it was spotlessly clean and with a small welcome pack which was a nice touch. Some previous reviews have mentioned hearing road noise. Yes you can hear the main road but personally this did not worry me and is a trade off for having quick access to major routes. Finally in warm and sunny weather the house can get very hot due to all the glass. The owners have tried to mitigate this with lots of fans which works well. Personally I think the installation of air conditioning would spoil the character of the property so I feel despite it being warm at times it is perfect as it is. Highly recommended.

It is a beautiful house (as the photos show) with everything you need! A great enclosed garden for our little dog. Amazing views of the countryside. Watching the sunset from the super hot tub is a treat! Everything is immaculate. The location is great for exploring Anglesey. The owners are great and very accommodating. We would love to stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fabulous home.

A perfect getaway!

We had the most wonderful stay at this fantastic holiday home in Anglesey. From the moment we arrived everything was just perfect. The house itself is beautifully maintained and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need - it truly felt like a home away from home. The weather during our stay was absolutely brilliant which made the experience even better. The parasol was much needed during the mini heatwave and the extra fans were a bonus to cool the house. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a day of exploring - such a treat! The garden was another great feature - fully enclosed and secure, which was ideal for our dog to run around and enjoy safely. It gave us real peace of mind and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the stay. All in all, this was a fantastic break and would highly recommend this holiday home.

Beautiful property, stunning views!

Everything was immaculate. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in, everything was provided. Unfortunately we had 2 power cuts and the owners were so apologetic and attentive. The area is full of great places to visit. We will definitely try to come back.

The open plan downstairs was perfect for keeping an eye on our 1 year old. Thoughtful Welsh baked goods left by the owners. Would highly recommend staying here.

Gorgeous place to stay!

Very clean. Was a great little getaway with the family! Plenty of space.

We had a lovely week at Pen -Y-Bryn, the hot tub was great.

Somewhere to hang your towels or robes near it would help. The bedrooms get very hot when the sun is shining on them but if you close the roller blinds you lose any view..I think vertical blinds would be a better option. The mattress in the back double bedroom was lumpy and the underfloor heating was very complicated but there are no instructions for ANYTHING in the house, also a guest book is always nice to read people's comments and recommendations. The house is stunning and the views are lovely, it's in a great location but you do get constant road noise even when the doors and windows are shut. With a few tweaks this could be an outstanding holiday home.

Loved our holiday here, our dog loved it too she could just lie around on the grass in the sun, everything was very secure so we didn’t have to worry about her getting out, the property was beautiful everything you needed was there, it was very clean lots of space, no body to bother you, it was lovely such a relaxing holiday.

We had the most amazing holiday at Pen Y Bryn.

It was spotlessly clean, very comfy and incredibly luxurious with all mod cons. We have already recommended it to several friends as the location is ideal for exploring not only Anglesey but much of north Wales. We came away with our adult daughter and her partner (no dogs as they had a holiday with other granny instead) and they, as we are, very outdoorsy people coming home after a day on a mountain, in a valley or country park to such a beautiful home was a dream. Every day finished off in the hot tub followed by a game (all supplied at the property) before a restful nights sleep. Well done, thank you and we will be back.

As a family of five adults and two small well behaved dogs, we really enjoyed our stay.

We would stay again. The hot tub was great, everything was well maintained and very clean, beds were very comfortable. Lovely touch by the owners leaving Welsh cakes and coffee pods amongst others in the welcome pack.

The location made it easy to explore the island, and the property's thoughtful design made for a comfortable and stylish break. The owners were exceptionally welcoming, adding to the overall fantastic experience. We loved it so much that we've already booked again for 2025!

Stunning property that caters for all, the hosts have thought of everything to make the stay is comfortable for guests.

There were books available along with board games and crime solving puzzles! We stayed during Storm Darragh so we really appreciated the extra indoor activities. Dafydd called to see us to reassure us that he was close if we needed him in the storm and even provided torches in case the electricity went off. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely look to book again. Thank you very much for making my husband’s birthday get away so special.

The house was absolutely perfect for our group – spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We loved how cozy and inviting the atmosphere was, and the location was ideal for our get-togethers. From the fully equipped kitchen to the beautiful outdoor space, every detail was thoughtfully arranged. We had an unforgettable time and really appreciated how easy and stress-free everything was. Had the most wonderful stay at Pen-Y-Bryn on a girls weekend away and a dog.

The barn is outstanding. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen had everything you could need. The hot tub was a big hit with us! Books and board games at the property was a great additional treat. Lovely welcome treats also. Alexa was a great addition (that I’ve not come across in other properties) so we could play music while playing our games on the dining table. Would 100% recommend this property, and as a group of friends we all have family now looking to book based on our glowing reviews.

Amazing Accommodation- comfortable, clean and well maintained.

The location was very convenient, putting us close to local attractions. It had everything we needed and more; the kitchen was fully equipped, and every detail was carefully thought out to ensure a relaxing stay. We genuinely wished we could have stayed longer and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a holiday break!

Really lovely property, very well equipped, made our week very enjoyable, would definitely stay again.

No mention of the proximity of the expressway which is very noisy at night with heavy lorries to/from the port.

The open plan living area is a huge echo chamber which we found makes discerning the TV sound very difficult. Conversation difficult. Some more soft furnishing would help (we are in our 70's!) The cottage owner was very helpful.

House is amazing, very clean and had all we needed. Hot tub an added bonus.The only little niggle we had was the road noise, although not something you can do anything about, but would be nice to know before booking.

Lovely stay in Anglesey, the facilities were very good, everything you would need for a stay.

The cottage has clearly be renovated to a high standard and the appliances are of a good .Plenty of cups, glasses, cutlery etc. very well presented and maintained.Great views from the hot tub .Very welcoming and appreciated the cake. Couldn’t fault would stay again.

Fabulous property, clean, modern, comfy, loved it!

Floor to ceiling windows and bi fold doors. Hot tub a great addition. Lots of places to visit close nearby, Beaurmaris, the train up Snowdonia and New borough beach within 30 mins drive.

On arrival the house is spectacular and private The kitchen was fabulous and the appliances were easy to use and of a high standard Great size dining table for the family to get together The house was lovely and clean Light and fresh everywhere The beds were very comfortable and lovely bedding en suites were a bonus Lounge area had very nice quality seating which was very comfortable The garden was ideal for the family dashchund and gave peace of mind to us with the garden being fully enclosed The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and we got some lovely time in there The house is located in a good spot ideal for visiting other areas of the island The owners were great not intrusive but there when needed and left a nice welcome pack Our only negative was the road noise as we arnt used to that but this cant be heard in the house if windows are shut and the fans in the bedroom mean you can keep windows shut Would highly recommend this gorgeous house

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pen Y Bryn.

It was a good size property on the edge of the village. It was reasonably private with views across the fields and ideally located for exploring the island. Although we had everything we needed for our stay, our personal opinion is, "more attention to detail" is needed, for example, Robes are needed for when using the hot tub, with a storage box near the tub. Better quality bed linen and duvets. Soap dispensers should be full on arrival of new guests....etc

Loved the cottage would suggest bath sheets for showers rather than bath towels but those would be useful for the hot tub.

And a coffee pod machine (named on itinerary so pods known) with easily available pods. We brought our own as we knew there wasn’t one there. Great location and would stay again.

The accommodation overlooks fields in an easily accessible location near to the village itself and was in very good condition with a high level of cleanliness.

There was a fully functional kitchen with plenty of crockery, glassware and utensils. Bedrooms and bedding were all very good although the walls are intrusively thin for sound travel. The lounge had comfortable chairs and sofas with a large tv next to a generous sized dining area which was more than big enough for six adults. The hot tub was in great condition and all ready to go on our arrival and throughout our stay. Communication was excellent. The only minor suggestions for improvements was a coffee machine (pod perhaps?) - there was only a cafetière for those wanting a coffee fix - and a four slice (rather than two) toaster wold be nice. Overall a lovely, warm and comfortable stay in pleasant surroundings in a convenient location for visiting many interesting and beautiful parts of North Wales.

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate a 50th birthday and this place did not disappoint!

Beautiful location, modern and clean property and in a great location, quiet but close enough to local amenities. This place ticked every box! We brought two large dogs who loved to run in the large, secure garden and then warm up with the underfloor heating. The kitchen is fully stocked with glasses for every need: utensils, pots, pans, chopping boards, serving platters and cleaning stuff. We did find we didn’t have any antibacterial spray or paper towels (but was more than happy to buy) so bare this in mind when doing shopping before coming! There is a mop and Hoover available to use (handy with pets) and washing up liquid, sponges and dishwasher tablets within the kitchen which was really convenient. A highchair is also provided if travelling with children.We had also been left some very delicious cakes which went down fantastically after we arrived. The bedrooms are spotless, with comfortable and large beds and amazing showers in the en-suites. The area is clean, beautiful and quiet with the occasional noise from the nearby roads (nothing major). After reading other reviews, we collected a takeaway from the local Chinese, Golden Bird. We had such a feast and is absolutely worth it’s good reputation. There are many shops within a 20min-30min drive in Bangor, Asda, Marks and Spencers, Waitrose and Lidl all easily accessible by car. If you’re looking for things to do with dogs, we visited Newborough Warren beach which is dog friendly at particular times of the year. This was around 30 minutes drive with parking practically on the beach. Would 100% recommend this stay to anyone with or without dogs. There is no doubt that we will be returning!

Spent 4 nights here relaxing with my family before the Christmas madness, it's a beautiful place and has everything you need and more, hot tub was perfect temperature with beautiful views and having the garden all fenced and secure was perfect for my dog, would love to stay here again and would highly recommend this place

We stayed here for a week and what a amazing place it is.

Everything was in there it was needed spotlessly clean to. Shops,pub,supper markets all with in 15 mins drive. Really nice quiet area Butchers next door is definitely the place to go for your food. The only down side is there's only one TV in living room none in the bedrooms swould definitely recommend and stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend.

We had so much fun (5 adults, 1 child). Spent a couple of hours in the hot tub each day, which was the perfect temperature. Cooked a full English in the kitchen, which had all of the utensils and things we needed; we could have made a roast with everything the kitchen had in it! But we chose to go to a Chinese nearby instead called Golden Bird, which was unreal!!!! The food was gorgeous, would 100% recommend. Beds were comfy, lots of room for everyone to even do their own thing. Nice, soft carpets and an Alexa at the property aswell as board games. We've decided to make it a tradition to come back once a year! Hosts were very accomodating, when we noticed nobody had booked for the day we were checking out, allowed us to check out 2 hours late free of charge! Thanks guys x

Wow!

! Beautiful barn with beautiful surroundings. Zero complaints from us! It had everything you need and more. The only thing I would recommend to anyone visiting in the winter with pets is to bring an old towel to leave by the back door otherwise you will spend your whole time mopping. Very clean, no surrounding properties. Would highly recommend and cant wait to visit again. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Beautiful property well set out for all guests with good quality fixtures and fittings We had to ask the owner to turn temperature up on the hot tub as very cool and they came straight away to sort it Couldn’t fault it would definitely stay again

We loved our stay - what a gorgeous house.

Stayed for a week, fantastic modern house, lovely hot tub (we spent a lot of time here). Well equipped with quality utensils and furniture. There wasn’t anything we needed and didn’t have in the house. We had a lovely view (hills and cows) out of the bedroom windows. Walking distance to a good local butcher, Co-op and train station. We met the owner who kindly put out the bins, he was very friendly. Good quiet location for local attractions. We visited Zip World (forest coaster was great), Mount Snowdon, Beaumaris and more. Thanks for a great holiday.

Amazing property which was exactly as described, very clean and very well equipped with good quality accessories.

We particularly liked the lovely bedding! We didn’t actually use the hot tub but it was large and spacious, parking was easy and the whole property was very well maintained Would definitely recommend and we are already considering a return visit

. total kitchen envy The house had everything we needed and more .. infact I would quite happily move there permanently. Great location for visiting places. Ideal for the dogs ( 2 shih tzus) … hot tub was a nice bonus , ample parking I really loved the place. Lovely cake, milk and Welsh cakes awaiting our arrival ….. we will definitely be booking again … we had the 1 October week of great weather so that was just a Bonus See you next year … Claire and the dogs

We thought that the hot water could of been slightly hotter.

We also thought that the bedrooms could do with mirrors. A better pair of tongs and fish slice for the kitchen would be a bonus. Overall we had a great time

We had a girlie 3 night stay here in September 2023.

We were all very pleased with the standard of the facilities & had a comfortable & luxurious stay. There was a surprise welcome pack of bara brith, welsh cakes & milk too. We met the owners, who were very accomodating & helped us sort out the temperature on the hot tub. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept well & were refreshed for our following days out. We took turns to cook our evening meals & had everything we needed. We all wished we had booked for longer. We highly recommend Pen-y-Bryn for a well deserved break, but hope there will be some vacancy left for us to return!!! Thank you so very much. You deserve our full 5 star award.

We loved our stay.

Everything was so well thought of and all the items/beddings/towels were all so high quality - it felt like a luxury stay. Would definitely recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pen-Y- Bryn with ample space for the 6 of us plus one dog.

The house is spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We particularly liked the kitchen layout with its central island and large dining table making it a sociable space when the weather kept us indoors. Loved the patio doors which opened fully onto the patio and we could enjoy the afternoon and early evening sun on the terrace. The hot tub being very popular with all family members too. Lots of parking space and lovely views across the fields. The only downside was lack of hanging space/storage in the twin bedded room, but a minor detail as we would thoroughly recommend this property. A lovely welcome pack greeted us on arrival which was much appreciated by us all, thank you.

Me & my family loved this property, It had everything and more needed for a lovely stay in Anglesey.

It was spotlessly clean which is really important to me and all the fixtures and fittings were of high quality. Just beware if you bring a dog, the garden is not enclosed but this didn't bother us as our dog didn't wander far. Lovely hot tub too. I would definitely return here and wished we could have stayed longer. Cake, teabags & milk were left for our arrival which was a nice touch.
