Min-y-rhos

Beautiful property at a stunning location.

We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The house was clean, and was well stocked with everything we required for our holiday. Would highly recommend!

A lovely holiday home with excellent facilities and a great location to explore The Llyn Peninsula

Very pleased, everything we needed for our stay.

The owner was very kind and accommodating and nothing too much trouble. Will be re booking for next year.

We loved our stay at Min-y-Rhos, the cottage was perfect for our stay, very well equipped, clean and cosy.

We particularly loved the conservatory area and honed our bird ID skills watching the bird feeders. Also, we appreciated how well placed the cottage is for walking the coast path and for walks from the door. We would definitely recommend a stay at Min-y-Rhos!

Comfy couches in the lounge with log burner for chilly nights.

Light and airy sun room where we could sit and watch the birds feeding. Bedrooms beautifully decorated. Excellent shower downstairs and upstairs lovely bath to relax in after long walks on the beach. Kitchen very well equipped. Outdoors seating to catch the sun or see the sun set. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Min-y-Rhos.

The hosts were incredibly helpful, calling us a week before our stay and were clearly there if we had any problems (we didn't). We really liked that the property was a little more remote (at the end of a drive away from main road) as the house was completely surrounded by nature/fields/sheep. If we weren't with young children we would have loved to walk along the coastal path towards Morfa Nefyn! The house was very well equipped for our stay - and a really lovely welcome basket of treats.

A stunning location and really remote which we loved.

The cottage was extremely comfortable and with the weather we had very cosy with the log burner. Every detail was well thought out and we had a lovely week! the garden was lovely and secure, the area is lovely to visit and there are lots of things to do albeit a bit of a drive as you really are in the middle of nowhere! overall a fabulous week!

As a group of 7 friends, Min y Rhos provided the perfect base for our annual get-together.

Daytime adventures included lovely coastal-path walks, visiting beautiful beaches and villages and even, for the brave, a New Year’s Day dip in the sea at Abersoch. We had stunning sunshine, horizontal rain, sleet, hail, very high winds and even snow all in one week but the Llyn was beautiful whatever the weather, and the cottage was a cosy, snug place to retreat to at the end of the day. The cottage had great social spaces for our group, a lovely warm fire and so many thoughtful touches from the owners. The enclosed garden was very much enjoyed by our dogs. Communication from the owners was the best I’ve ever experienced with a holiday cottage. We had a really lovely holiday and we’d all love to visit again one day.

Another fantastic stay here on the Llŷn Peninsula.

The cottage was yet again well stocked, clean and tidy. The host Richard was incredibly hospitable and got in contact prior to our holiday providing all the necessary information required. In addition to this, he was also very proactive and accommodating regarding our travel arrangements which were impacted by bad weather, so thank you for that! We will definitely be back again.

Fantastic location.

Remote cottage with a large enclosed garden brilliant for the dog to run around. Wonderful views of mountains, fields and sea. So peaceful. Cottage was very cosy and clean with a sun room to watch the variety of birds feeding from the bird feeders. Lovely walks down lane and walk to the shingle beach and coastal path. Owners were very accommodating prior to arrival ensuring cot and child gate set up for visit from granddaughter. Lovely welcome card and pack thank you.

Superb place !

As previous Sykes holiday let owners ourselves we knew instantly that we had made a good choice. Perfect for our big lively dogs also. Lovely clean spacious comfortable property with every possible eventuality catered for. We will be back. P.s. It rained nearly not stop for our whole two weeks , that shows you how good it was !

Overall a great stay, some of the beds are a litte squeaky and in need of some TLC, the shower room could do with a deep clean but this maybe due to the lateness in the season.

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings xxx A home from home, will certainly be back next year for our third time here xxx Lovely welcome pack, and great comms with the Owners xxx

Absolutely wonderful four nights in this beautiful cottage.

Did not want for anything it was like home from home. Wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely be back next year for two weeks if not longer. Elaine and David

Enjoyed our stay at this great cottage in the rural Lynn peninsula.

Owner was very helpful and we had no problems with our stay at all. The property is in delightful rural countryside. It is a 1km walk to the coastal path giving access to miles of fantastic cliffs and beaches.

“ A wonderful stay at Min y Rhos.

" The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival and equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful 4-day break. The location was perfect. The cottage provided beautiful surroundings with plenty of outdoor space which was brilliant as it was fully enclosed to keep our dog safe which gave us peace of mind at all times. Communication from Sykes and the property owner Richard was perfect from start to finish. We would love to return here again in the future.

From our first communication with Richard, the property owner, to the minute we checked out everything was perfect.

Min-Y-Rhos is a beautiful cottage at the end of a very quiet lane with wrap-around gardens, ample parking and countryside views all round. Inside this gorgeous cottage there is everything you could wish for and more, easily the best equipped holiday let we have ever used. Our grandsons first holiday and certainly one where we made memories for a lifetime.

Beautiful cottage set within very peaceful surroundings.

All you can hear from outside are the birds and the sheep next door, which is bliss. Richard the owner was very kind in ringing us prior to our holiday to discuss key collection details, recycling etc..and anything else that we needed to know, which is a first from my experience and he was very helpful. The cottage was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Thank you Richard for all of your help and we’ll be back in the future. Carol, Martin & Lucy the lab

Min-y- Rhos is such a lovely cottage, its location gives you plenty of peace and quiet to relax.

We were fortunate to have amazing weather for our holiday so made full use of the beautiful garden which is fully enclosed , meaning dog got to explore it too. The cottage is so well equipped , comfortable and clean. One of our favourites things was bird watching from the conservatory whilst having breakfast. Communication from the owners was brilliant and any queries I had were responded to very quickly. I booked a food shop delivery from Asda and had no issues with them delivering to the cottage. Would 100% recommend this cottage.

April 2025 - We had a wonderful stay at Min-Y-Rhos.

The cottage is very well equipped with literally everything you could need. There was a lovely complementary basket of tea, coffee, biscuits, as well as milk & butter in the fridge and a mini bottle of white & red wine when we arrived. Great size garden for children to play in or dogs to have a run around as it is all fenced in. The cottage was nice and clean when we arrived and feels homely as soon as you walk in.

Our second visit and can’t wait to return again.

The cottage is so lovely and welcoming, the garden is perfect for the dogs. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect, relaxing break away from everything.

A wonderful stay at Min y Rhos.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and cosy 4-day break. The location provided peaceful seclusion in beautiful surroundings with plenty of outdoor space for the children to enjoy, and fully enclosed to keep the dogs safe. Communication from Sykes and the property owners was perfect. We would love to stay here again.

Another amazing week away to this stunning cottage.

Lovely hosts who yet again were very informative and facilitating. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Great location for exploring the local beaches and peaks! Will sure to be back!

Perfect I every way this was our second stay won't be the last Richard you are a super and kind host x

Having stayed here before it fully lived up to our expectations.

Richard, the owner, was very communicative and concerned to ensure our stay was pleasant.

Very clean, well presented and equipped and the log burner made for very cosy evenings although the heating was very efficient and kept the cottage lovely & warm.

Very much appreciated the contact and information from the owner, as well as the treats left for us. Perfect for dogs as the garden is safe and fully enclosed. Only thing which could have improved the cottage is king sized beds in the double rooms but it didn't prevent us having a lovely holiday.

Clean, very well equipped, great host, would book again without hesitation.

MIN-Y-RHOS was just a perfect holiday cottage, secluded warm cosy and dog proof garden ,and so close to many walks and beaches.

We celebrated our 46 wedding anniversary there and we couldnt have chosen a better place or better owners, who even left us a card and bottle of wine ...it will long stay in our memory ..we hope to return.

Perfect get away Owner so helpful and communicate well

Wonderful holiday in a fabulous cottage.

It is so well equipped, everything you need. So many extras provided. Wonderful room at the back of the cottage to watch the birds from. We even had 2 male pheasants and a woodpecker. The owner communicates so well and does everything he can to make your holiday the best it can be.

We’ve used self catering cottages for over 15 years and this was one of the best.

Everything we could possibly need was provided, and The Owner provided excellent detailed instructions and directions. The garden is secure, and great for the dogs. The house is well laid out with plenty of room, but there was only 2 of us and 2 pooches. The owner also provided lots of information in the cottage in super laminated folders, great reading. Super clean. It is at the end of a single track road, and there may be some negotiation with tractors, like reversing to let them pass. Close to the coastal walk. Close to beaches. Eating out we really enjoyed The Cliffs at Morfa Nefyn. Be aware some eateries are not open when they say they are, so check in advance of final planning. Local Costcutter/garage stocked excellent selection of everything you would need.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it had everything we needed and the beds were very comfy.

Richard the owner was very informative and gave us lots of information on how to get there. It's in a great position to get to local beaches, our dogs loved the enclosed garden, thank you Richard

Lovely property idyllic location great communication with owner would definitely recommend

A lovely secluded cottage with every home comfort you could think of.

Good location for short drives to lots of lovely walks, beaches and coves. Everything in the cottage had detailed instructions and Richard had thought of the tiniest details to make our stay comfortable. We had dogs who loved the garden, which is safely enclosed. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday.

We have just been away for a three night break with the family, myself, my husband, 2 year old child and dog, aswell as my brother, his wife, two children (2 and 6) and dog, and my mum!

Granny loved the special family time with us all. The cottage was great! It was cosy, clean, had everything you needed and the garden was perfect! The children loved running round and it was perfect and secure for the two dogs. We had a very informative email from Richard before we left for the trip which included directions and information on the area. Me and my husband, toddler and dog often do little staycations so we know to pack the normal items like salt and vinegar, tea, sugar, a first aid kit, shower gel etc but it was a nice surprise that it was all there! Very thoughtful indeed. The beds were comfy, the shower was powerful and the living room/ conservatory type room was perfect sized. I will definitely be booking again!

First class property in a wonderful setting.

Could not fault anything about it. Owners are superb, a wonderful holiday would highly recommend it.

My daughter said that if she had to list all the qualities of a holiday home - location, comfort, facilities, and general standards Min y rhos would come top on any survey.

The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.

The cottage is lovely and welcoming, location and views are amazing. We had a great week and didn’t want to leave, we will definitely return in the near future.

Min Y Rhos is a home from home.

Richard provides everything you need and outstanding instructions, spare parts and multiple extras; such as binoculars, torches, multiple hoovers, books, Mesh WiFi, DAB radio, Poo bags. It truly is a base that has everything. He even provides deodorant, soap, shower gel, TCP, Clothes washing tablets and a tumble dryer. We have never.come across a property that gives so much. Be kind people and don't abuse it ! Leave any spares to help out and please feed the birds (bird feeders provided) as they come often with some lovely colours. Such a wonderful sight to sit in the conservatory 'like' area and watch with the radio on. Children can use the swings and football / goal. Under the stairs is inflatable connect 4 and boules. Lots of fun ! It is VERY dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden. The location is outstanding. Totally secluded yet not far from shops etc. The neighbours up the field are very friendly. Drive slowly around the area out of courtesy for local residents. Richard may or may not know how much people are greatful for what he does. May it last a long a time because we shall be going back for sure. Thank you so much, Claire, John, Callum and the two Golden Labs - Sandy and Jessie.

We had a wonderful stay at Min-y-rhos.

Such a beautiful, peaceful, well equipped and cosy home from home. Loved reading about the history and watching the birds in the garden. Can’t wait to return!

Excellent cottage,so cosy, facilities top notch, very clean and the furnishings also clean and in character with the cottage .

This cottage is amazing everything you would need in kitchen is available bedding towels furnishings of a very high standard location remote but easy to get to all those lovely beaches I will definitely be booking again well done richard n Andrea perfection

We had such an amazing time here at Min y Rhos.

The cottage was so well equipped, incredibly clean and situated in such a beautiful location. Our host was very informative and even provided vast amounts of additional information found in folders at the cottage. The large enclosed garden was a huge selling point for us as we have a lively Border Collie who made sure she made the most of it! The whole ambience of the cottage provided such tranquility and a well earned break away from city life. We highly recommend this cottage and we will definitely be returning in the near future!

This is a fabulous cottage in a beautiful location with spectacular views.

It is peaceful, secluded and quiet. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was also very warm, the central heating or log fire heated the cottage up quickly and it retained the heat well. The shower was powerful and the water was always hot, even with 8 people taking baths and showers. The welcome pack was very informative and we enjoyed reading about the history of the cottage. Our entire family loved this cottage; the children and dogs especially enjoyed running around in the large garden, and I particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet, the views and watching the birds visiting the feeders. We would definitely come back to this cottage for another visit.

Really nice cottage and suited us to a T.

We would recommend both the cottage and the Skyes Holiday Cottages.

Fabulous property, fabulous communication for the owner.

The most well equipped property I've ever stay in and a fabulous location. Fresh and clean, not sure we could fault a thing. Thank you.

A lovely characterful cottage in a tranquil setting.

Although the location is remote it suited us as we like peace & quiet. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped with a nice wrap around garden.

Richard is the most incredible host.

He could not do enough to make our stay as good as it could ever get - including cleaning and sheet and towel changes at the end of each week !!!! Just a wonderful place.

This is an amazing place to stay.

The cottage is light, bright, roomy and so well equipped. I would highly recommend a holiday in this property. We had an amazing time with our family and so appreciated the wonderful garden amongst so many other things the cottage had to offer. 10/10 every time.

A very well presented cottage in a very tranquil setting.

Everything you need is there and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The dogs loved the garden which is completely secure.

Excellent stay at the cottage.

Unfortunately the T.V. broke down in our 2nd week.

What a beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful week. The cottage is off the beaten track and so relaxing. Very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. My elderly father said he had the best holiday he had ever had. We all spent so much time in the conservatory watching the variety of birds that visited the garden. The garden was perfect for the dogs, really secure. Richard, one of the owners was such a lovely person, he gave us lots of information both before the holiday and supplied in the cottage. All in all a wonderful week. We would definitely return. Thank you Richard..

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at Min y Rhos.

The property exceeded all our expectations with regard to facilities, cleanliness and location. We were also blessed with fantastic weather enhancing our explorations of the surrounding area which is exceptionally scenic and perfect for walkers and non-walkers alike. Idyllic!

Great cottage, great location.

Really good access to coastal paths.

Excellent property in lovely secluded location but within easy reach of lots of lovely beaches and other areas of interest.

The cottage is very well equipped and the owners have provided just about everything that you could require for a relaxing holiday. The attention to detail is second to none. Would highly recommend.

Abosulutely fantastic !

! Enough said !!

This cottage was absolutely stunning, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here it was so peaceful, and once our food was delivered there was no need to leave.

If peace and quiet is what you're after, this is it. The beds were a little hard but that isn't any fault of the owner, we must be soft. We loved the 2 gates which made us feel secure at night and the outside lighting was a bonus. Thank you so much for the use of your cottage.

We spent a fantastic 4 days here for New Year.

Richard was extremely helpful prior to arriving sending directions along with lots of other helpful tips. Everything that could have been done to make the property welcoming had been done….we couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend. Hope to visit again in the future

This cottage is stunning.

The pictures actually don't do it justice. It's beautiful. I had come here in the summer and fell in love with the place that I had to book it for over Christmas as I couldn't think of a better place to spend it. I will certainly in the future be booking this lovely warm cosy clean cottage again. Everything about it is perfect. Thanks again for a Christmas we will never forget.

We had a fabulous pre-Christmas break at Min-y-rhos.

Richard provided really useful information prior to our arrival and set such a lovely, friendly tone. From the moment we arrived, we settled into this cosy and characterful home. It was spotlessly clean and tidy with a thoughtful welcome card and package. By day, we enjoyed walks at some of our favourite beaches and by night, we made good use of the kitchen facilities to cook our meals, complete with the wood burner crackling in the background. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely peaceful and comfortable cottage in a great location to explore the entire peninsula.

Thank you for all the guidance pre-arrival - and for equipping the cottage so thoughtfully to make our stay very enjoyable.

This property is fitted to the highest standards, evident the owner used his own high standards when selecting everything.

The location is quiet and peaceful. The owner provided information regarding eateries, where to visit, very helpful.

Lovely dog friendly cottage in a beautiful rural location.

Great place for walking. Well equipped cottage with a large enclosed garden for dogs. The owner couldn't have been more helpful.

This is a wonderful property and just right for our '3 generations' holiday plus 2 dogs.

The cottage is lovely: set in a secure, self-contained garden, really nicely furnished, immaculately clean, comfortable, and really well equipped. There are beautiful views of the sea from the upstairs windows. The location is also great, quiet and peaceful but in easy reach (by car) of local towns and villages, beautiful beaches, family attractions, and Snowdonia National Park. The owners have provided really useful information on the local area; it is well worth walking the local trail to Seal Beach - we had a dip and a seal came to see us as we left. Highly recommended.

Really beautiful cottage in a idyllic setting, everything you could possibly want is provided including a lovely little welcome pack.

Richard, the owner, is really friendly and provides all the information about the cottage and surrounding area that you could possibly need. The garden is amazing, fully secure so our dog could roam to his hearts content, lots of garden furniture and a swing, swing seat and little rope ladder for younger guests (although our teenager loved the swing!)

The property was very clean and well presented when we arrived.

There was a nice welcome pack also, which is always appreciated. The location was fantastic and offered us the peace and quiet we needed. Lots of wildlife around the area which was lovely to observe. The sun room, adjacent to the kitchen was where we spent most of our time when we were in, brilliant space to read, have a brew and just enjoy the silence. One of the most relaxing holidays we've ever had.

We had a wonderful holiday at the cottage.

It is definitely the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed in. The facilities were excellent, plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils to use. Great choice of board games and jigsaws to use, all of which were brand new. Comfy beds and sofas and everything was spotlessly clean. We had great communication from the owner Richard before and during our holiday with very clear directions on how to get there. It was in such a peaceful location, surrounded by fields but only a 20 minute walk from the cottage to the beach. We visited many of the surrounding areas, Abersoch, Portmeirion, Criccieth & Aberdaron to name a few. All very accessible in 30-45 minutes. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked again for next year. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic Beautiful location Fully stocked kitchen Very comfortable Brilliant wifi Very nice

Thank you very much the house was perfect and the directions to get there were very detailed.

Check in and check out was seamless.

Absolutely perfect in every way!

Definitely planning another visit soon.

We have just returned from 3 nights at Min Y Rhos.

3 adults & 4 children. It was the perfect space for us and everything that we needed was provided - there was even a little welcome package on arrival which was a great touch. It has a lovely garden space which the children loved playing out in. The road down to the cottage is a single track road which once we had done a couple of times we were confident with if we met another car. We didn’t get the best weather but managed to stay dry at 2 nearby beaches. There is plenty to explore nearby if you do your research. If you are a little out of season like we were just check places/ & restaurant/take away open days as we found lots were only open Thursday - Sunday. The nearest Spar is well equipped though and good opening hours. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home and we look forward to returning again in the future.

Beautifully restored cottage in a lovely part of Wales

Beautifully refurbished property, very well-appointed and comfortable.

Good location for exploring the area, although the narrow approach lane might be scary for anyone not comfortable reversing after meeting someone coming the other way! The very friendly owner has taken a great deal of trouble to provide written information that covers everything from appliances in the home to local beaches and nearby places to shop and eat. Overall, a pretty perfect experience.

Before we even left Richard contacted me in regards to welcome us to the cottage and area which was so nice.

We couldn't get to the cottage on the day we booked as storm eunice stopped us from travelling but we arrived the day after and it was breathe taking what a lovely location and beautiful cottage very clean and was well equipped. We had everything to hand and even Cooked a Sunday roast as weather wasn't too good. Beds were very comfy and plenty of room for our large family and 2 dogs who enjoyed there stay as much as we did . Would highly recommend and would stay here again. We had a lovely welcome card with some wine Welsh cakes, butter and milk which was great to make a cuppa after a very long journey.

An outstanding property which was enjoyed by everyone.

Great for children and very dog friendly with an enclosed garden for both, kitchen equipped with everything you could need or imagine. The property is secluded and private which suited us fine, however there’s many fantastic beaches to be found in a very short drive. Book a Tesco delivery slot literally the morning they become available for your arrival as slots fill up in minutes and will save you time once you arrive. Highly recommend & look forward to returning. Thank you Richard.

Lovely stay… very isolated, which suited us perfectly… dog friendly and great to have modern facilities but olde worlde charm… thanks Richard

brilliant property, amazing location for what we were looking for.

highly recommended

We had an amazing Christmas in the cottage, thanks so much!

Would definitely recommend!

The property was amazing.

Really quiet which we were hoping for. If you want "out of the way" but an easy drive to shops / beaches etc this is your place. The owner was great at communicating with us before we got there and we were made to feel very welcome. The weather was awful (as you expect in December) but there was plenty of space for the kids to spread out and the grown ups to relax. Cannot wait to go back and looking to book again in warmer weather.

Everything about the property is of the highest standard.

It is newly renovated and very well equipped. The owner has been very thoughtful. If anyone wants a peaceful, relaxing time then this is the place for you.

Beautiful cottage ,out of the way ,very peaceful .

Very clean and modern look forward to returning

A beautiful cottage in the most wonderful location, we don't realise how busy and noisy our lives are until you stay here, total peace and quiet to recharge our batteries, we loved every minute of our stay, we were lucky enough to see the seals on the beach which is about a 30 min walk from the cottage, the cottage has everything you need and more, totally dog proof garden, we didn't worry once our 2 lurchers could escape which is rare, Great communication from Richard the owner, thankyou once again for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage, we will be back.

perfect place for family holiday.

lots of space for kids to run about without worrying about annoying the neightbours beautiful cottage well thought out

The cottage was everything we hoped for.

We loved the remote location. Our communications with the owner were very friendly and helpful. We would love to return sometime.

The cottage has everything needed for a great holiday.

Clean,well-equipped, comfortable and set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We were blessed with sunny and fine weather. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay and came out to solve a problem for us. We enjoyed coastal walks most days including 2 straight from the cottage to the Seal beach and Morfa Nefyn. Other days out included Towyn, Aberdaron, Llanbedrog and Abersoch: all ‘old haunts’ for our party! Excellent food at the ‘Ship’ in Edern and a great lunch at Tremfan Hall with wonderful sea views from the garden. We all agreed it was the best holiday of the past few years !

The location is perfect If you want a secluded peaceful break away from it all.

Fully enclosed garden perfect for dogs. Well equipped. In a beautiful part of the country with miles of coastal walking, as well as higher hill and woodland walking. So it has everything.

We were lucky enough to be the first people to stay at the property following its extensive restoration and it did not disappoint.

The goodies left for us by the owner were an added bonus and included cheese, butter, wine and welsh cakes. The pictures really don't do the property justice and the interior is very modern and comfortable and has all the essentials. We had no issue with Wi-fi and all modern technology worked really well. The property is in a lovely quiet location with views of the sea and the baby lambs in the fields from the back which was an added bonus. We took our 4 legged friend and were delighted to see the outside of the property was fully secure and therefore I didn't have to worry about letting him out. He settled very quickly. Just a short walk and you are onto the costal path. We were lucky enough to come across a seal on one of the beeches when we were walking which was lovely and not something I was expecting. There are a number of local pubs you can eat from and local shops to get your basic essentials. All in all a very quiet and relaxing holiday. I will certainly be back.
