(Thank you!) We had a wonderful week at Ynata Cottage and couldn't have asked for a better base for our Welsh holiday. It really was the best property we've ever stayed in. The Cottage Everything was spotlessly clean and so comfortable; feel like home from home. All the bedding and throws were so clean, cosy, and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, and generously sized. The house itself is beautiful inside, with lovely pictures on the walls and a great selection of board games for cosy evenings. The fire was wonderfully cosy, and the owners left a generous supply of logs. The front garden is also very well maintained. Walking & Wildlife The cottage offers great walking and hiking routes right at the doorstep. The villagers were all so friendly and welcomed us and our dog warmly on our morning walks. Local Amenities & Parking The local shop covers all the essentials and is open 7am–9pm through the week (with slightly shorter hours on Sundays), so even if you'd like to spend some time without driving, you'll find everything you need close by. There's no dedicated parking for the cottage, but we never had any issues finding a space in the village. Exploring the Area For those who do want to drive, the surrounding area offers wonderful options, we discovered beautiful beaches, hiking routes, and charming small towns and villages nearby. We also made full use of the local walking guides provided in the cottage. Welcome Touches A special thank you for the lovely welcome package, including a treat for our dog. We had a wonderful stay at Ynata.

The property is absolutely beautiful, we didn’t want to come home! We loved exploring the local area from Trefor, and it was always lovely to come back to the cottage to relax in the evening. We’re not usually ones to go back to places but if we were ever in the area again we would 100% rebook. The owners seemed lovely too, very accommodating. Amazing holiday, thank you.

Lovely cottage very well equiped bottle of wine and biscuits was a lovely gesture.

Unloading and loading luggage very difficult due to no rear access as cars parked in alley. Front access was also difficult very limited space on very narrow road used by buses. If it rained heavily there was a pond not a path at the front of cottage.

We had a great time at Ynata cottage.

Beautifully decorated, cozy and well maintained. We really appreciated the welcome pack. We found everything we could need, including picnic items. Thank you for making our stay easy and relaxing; we were sad to leave.

Ynata is an absolutely beautiful cottage.

The owners have done an incredible job with it, providing all the comforts you need for a home away from home. Its very modern and was very clean. The bed is really comfortable and sitting in the bright dining area looking out at the mountain was wonderful. Would highly recommend it as a base in the area.

Lovely cottage well presented and equipped in a beautiful area of North Wales.

On arrival we had a slight problem with unloading our luggage at the rear of the property where the keys are collected as per the arrival instructions. The lane at the rear of the cottage was blocked by a car so we couldn’t get to the back of the cottage so had to unload at the end of the lane. Parking was at times difficult as you cannot park outside the cottage and on occasions we had difficulty finding parking spaces.

lovely hamlet/ village.freindly locals.great place for base and also just staying sn walking hiking with dogs everyday.shop local.great views.close enough to get to criccieth Porthmadog etc.safe quiet beach...very peaceful and rugged.would recommend if you want space from crowds..peace..walking ..nature!

Ynata was an outstanding holiday cottage.

It had clearly been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard. There were also many thoughthoughtful surprises on arrival. Such as a welcoming bottle of wine and doggy treats for our dog. Parking was on a first come, first serve basis on the local roads/free car park. Finding a safe, close place to park was never a problem for us and did not detract from the holiday. Trefor was beautiful, with a stunning coastal walk. It was exceptionally quiet, which suited us.

Ynata is a lovely cottage with all the facilities for a comfortable stay.

Katherine contacted us prior to arrival to welcome us and was available throughout the holiday should we need her. Highlights of the cottage - fully equipped, modern kitchen and a separate dining area with light flooding in from large skylight. Also, the most comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. Trefor is a lovely little village and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Great place to base yourself for exploring the Llyn Peninsula.

We had a great week staying at Ynata cottage with a couple of friends and 2 dogs. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable, exactly as described and is spotlessly clean. Lots of thoughtful touches too and good quality fixtures and fittings. The welcome of the doggy treats, biscuits, wine and the coffee pods were particularly welcome after a long drive.Our week included trips to Llanbedrog; we spend a couple of afternoons here, walking and watching the dolphins in Cardigan Bay. We can recommend Aqua Bar for food and drinks - right on the edge of the beach and has a lovely terrace. Park on the National Trust car park at the top of the lane and it's a 5/10 minute walk to the beach.We visited Abersoch, had an excellent lunch at the Potted Lobster - another lovely terrace and excellent, good value seafood platter to share. Criccieth is about 30 mins away - nice beach and promenade, Porthmadog is only worth a visit if you plan to jump on the Welsh Highland railway and unless you like castles, Caernafon is only worth a supermarket trip, same for Pwllheli. If you get a chance, maybe on the way home, do drop in on Llandudno, there is a beautiful promenade and we found the Penderyn distillery (tastings available but not if you are driving!), there is a visitor centre where you can pick up reasonably priced spirits for souvenirs or pressies.The Ty Coch Inn is very popular but isn't easy to access if you have mobility problems and it does get crowded, try the little cafe/bakery Becws Islyn Nefyn at Morfa Neyfyn (drive to Morfa Nefyn, take the Beach sign on the right just off the main road), there's some parking, picnic tables outside and a public loo nearby ;) Beach accessible at low tide, otherwise nice walk along the cliff top.Beddgelert is great for walking and a lovely village with plenty of food options, or just take your own and enjoy a picnic on the peaceful riverbank. There is great walking just on your doorstep from Trefor and there's a popup cafe in a shipping container right by the beach.Some people have mentioned parking being a problem, there is no disputing the fact that parking is very tight but we found there was always a space higher up the lane. Loading/unloading is a bit of an issue as the neighbours leave their cars in the back street, but with a bit of careful planning you can manage.All things considered, we had a great week at Ynata.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ynata Cottage.

It was comfortable and cosy with everything you needed at hand, comfy beds too. Such a great base to explore Northern Wales. The circular walk from the cottage across the cliff tops with amazing views over the bay was beautiful. Grabbing a lovely coffee at the little shipping container cafe at the beach to finish was a great way to start our mornings with our two dogs.

This cottage is an absolute gem, in a lovely village created for quarrymen and fishermen in the 1800s.

The cottage is very comfortable and very well presented. The decor is beautiful with quality furniture, kitchen equipment, TV etc. I can't fault anything about it and didn't want to leave. The front garden was ideal for our little dog. The bottle of wine was a very nice welcoming touch. There is everything you could need, including all doggy necessities including treats and a ball. Katherine was very attentive at the other end of the phone for anything we needed help with. Cant wait to go back.

Ynata is a beautifully presented cottage where the owner had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and cosy.

The decor curated by someone with a great eye for detail from cosy bedding and towels to the wonderful and some quirky artwork on the walls. The cottage is set in the tiny unchanged village of Trefor on the Llyn peninsula surrounded by lovely walks along the coastal path and two lovely beaches on its doorstep. Nefin and Morfa Nefin are a short drive away as is Pwllheli and Criccieth. A lovely relaxing break was had by all including our beautiful Golden Retriever. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic cottage.

Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Great location for exploring and a short distance from the beach. We had a lovely break here and would love to stay again.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated and furnished. We will definitely be using Y Nata again in the future.

A very comfortable and well appointed cottage.

Lovely walks from the front door to the harbour and small quiet beach. Good for our nervous dog! Pwllheli, Nefyn, Abersoch and Aberdaron all have lovely quiet (part dog friendly) beaches. The seating area adjoining the kitchen was a lovely place for us to have breakfast and dinner. The bedroom was very comfortable with lots of storage. The bathroom was well equipped with a good shower. In all we had a lovely relaxing stay.

Ynata was a delightful place to stay, with many welcoming, thoughtful and practical touches that really elevated the experience above the “norm” and made for a lovely week.

The highest quality of equipment & materials coupled with clever design throughout meant that despite highly active children and two large dogs, self catering was still a pleasurable and relaxing experience for all concerned. Everything required was there (and more) and somehow in a place you’d expect it to be. Coupled with a proactive and very helpful owner, we would highly recommend Ynata as a place for anyone looking to explore the Llyn Peninsula.

Beautiful well equipped cottage with good quality furnishings and accessories in a perfect location.

A newly renovated cottage in the centre of Trefor with just a short walk to the beach. We spent a week here and was extremely relaxed and rested in the comfortable cottage. Our dog also had a fantastic time too. The cottage is fully equipped to self cater with a lovely dining area in the kitchen. We even had the log burner on in May on one gloomy evening which were the best instructions we have had to use. We stay in North Wales at least three times per year and this has been the best cottage to date. Excellent communication also from the owner and can't wait to return.

Well worth a visit. Parking can be an issue. I recommend use the car park. But can be full.

The cottage is perfect! It has everything you need. Only a short walk to a small beach and lovely costal walks. It’s a good location for visiting the surrounding area which we travelled around to see the beautiful scenery. We’d definitely recommend this cottage and Katherine was very helpful

The house was beautifully presented; it was like staying in a boutique hotel. The owners had thought of every tiny detail. It was the best home we’ve stayed in and we can’t wait to return!

Fabulous cottage - one of the best I've stayed in.

Very well equipped, with absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Great location too for exploring the Llyn Peninsula plus Anglesey and Snowdonia. I will definitely be returning (and recommending to family and friends).

I loved my stay at Ynata, in Trefor Wales with my two children.

The cottage was idyllic, with a handy little grocery store and pub nearby. It was lovely to get away from the hussle and bussle of our daily lives to this peaceful little town. My favourite part was chilling in the lovely cottage with my kids, which has a very modern intake with a twist of its original features. Anyone would be happy to spend a break in this lovely cottage/town. Well done to the owners X

The owners have literally thought of everything. It’s small but super luxurious and beautifully finished. We used the cottage as a base for exploring the local area with our 2 young children, it was a really great week. Would love to stay again in the future.

Lovely cottage with some delightful additions.

Thank you! We loved taking our labradors for walks along the beach from the cottage and couldn’t help popping into Bert’s Kitchen on the way back for something to eat and drink.

Lovely property, tastefully furnished and finished, yet comfortable and welcoming.

The kitchen has that wow factor and contains everything you would need. Great Wi-Fi & Sky streaming tv, plenty of information and instructions in the guest folder with the owner contactable.

The cottage is done to a really high standard with some lovely welcoming touches.

It's in a small traditional village with easy access to all surrounding areas, the roads are great. The owner is in constant contact should you have any questions. We loved everything about it, would definitely recommend.

You can walk for miles straight from the cottage. The cottage is extremely clean. The kitchen is well equipped. Very pleasant and friendly neighbours. Good local shop. Excellent communication with the owners. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Disappointed with description of ‘pub’ which turned out to be a working men’s’ club which only opened at 5pm.

Also huge amount of noisy traffic passing front door. Otherwise accommodation superb in every way.

Very attractive cottage.

So clean and modern with such a welcoming feel. Clever heating system and the log fire meant that we were so cosy. It was like a boutique hotel. Great view of the granite peaks from the breakfast table and a short walk to gorgeously atmospheric beach. The people of the village were very friendly and there was a well stocked shop on the doorstep. Llŷn has won my heart and Ynata in Trefor is the perfect base to explore. Diolch am y bwthyn perffaith.
